In a razor-thin 218-208 vote, the House of Representatives just approved Trade Promotion Authority (TPA). The legislation guarantees that trade deals negotiated by the president will get a prompt up-or-down vote. President Obama has said the legislation is essential to completing work on the controversial Trans-Pacific Partnership, a trade deal being negotiated by about a dozen Pacific Rim nations.
However, it remains far from certain whether TPA will become law. The Senate has also passed a TPA bill, but that bill came with an extension of Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA), programs that help workers who lose their jobs due to international competition. For TPA to become law, congressional leaders need to either get the House to pass TAA or get the Senate to pass a TPA bill that doesn’t include TAA. Ahead to 2016
The issue of the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamic fascist organization that advocates death and jihad in the name of Allah, is especially important ahead of the 2016 Presidential Election.
For the next President will have to make a choice: Will he or she route the Muslim Brotherhood from our military and intelligence agencies, from DHS and the IRS, and other regulatory agencies?
Or will the Muslim Brotherhood, which calls for the destruction of America from within, be allowed to continue to flourish and undermine our republic?
Republican leaders will try to resurrect the trade deal Democrats sank less than a week ago, planning a revote today and insisting they will corral enough votes to approve fast-track negotiating powers that President Obama needs to complete a legacy-building Pacific Rim agreement.
Mr. Obama met Wednesday afternoon with Democratic lawmakers who support free trade to make sure they will vote for the plan, and House Republican leaders began the process of forcing a revote on powers known as Trade Promotion Authority, which is favored in their party, and Trade Adjustment Assistance, which is generally a Democratic priority.
Democrats last week voted against Trade Adjustment Assistance as a way of poisoning the package, so Republican leaders have decided to split the bill and pass Trade Promotion Authority first, then leave it to Mr. Obama to rally enough Democrats to pass Trade Adjustment Assistance.
“We are committed to ensuring both TPA and TAA get votes in the House and Senate and are sent to the president for signature,” said a joint statement by House Speaker John A. Boehner, Ohio Republican, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican, rejecting claims that the issue was dead.
The plan came together quickly Wednesday. It offers Mr. Obama a chance to recover from the embarrassing defeat Friday when House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, led the opposition to Trade Adjustment Assistance, sinking the deal just hours after the president made a trip to the Capitol to plead personally for support. It’s very simple, if Republicans allow Obama to continue our dangerous alliance with Iran for even one hour after the June 30 deadline, they are just as complicit in the malfeasance. Republicans can take a few days off from rubber-stamping Obama’s agenda and growing government in order to deal with Iran.
On Tuesday, Bloomberg News reported that UN monitors have received no reports from the U.S. or European countries pointing out Iranian violations of sanctions, “even though some have unfolded in plain sight.”
The White House would have you believe that they will not lift sanctions on Iran until they comply with the terms of a potential nuclear agreement. The problem is they have already de facto lifted sanctions, not just through the $700 million per month in unfrozen assets given to Iran for stringing us along in these negotiations, but by turning a blind eye to their violation of travel bans and importing nuclear materials.
For example, nobody bothered to report that General Qassem Suleimani, the head of the terrorist Quds force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, broke his travel ban and has been seen all over the Middle East promoting the Iranian proxies. The U.S. and other governments also turned a blind eye to recent shipments of nuclear missile materials from North Korea to Iran. And when it comes to Iran’s growing piracy of international ships and international waters, the “international community” has pursued a ‘see no evil, hear no evil’ approach.
Moreover, as the Financial Times reports, Iran is already negotiating contracts with OPEC and international oil companies with the full confidence that sanctions will be lifted, irrespective of their behavior or willingness to cooperate with nuclear disarmament.
It gets worse.
Not only has Obama turned a blind eye to existing violations, he is now reneging on his promise to keep the “non-nuclear” sanctions on Iran, even if they strike a deal to curb their nuclear program. In the April 2 factsheet, the White House boasted, “U.S. sanctions on Iran for terrorism, human rights abuses, and ballistic missiles will remain in place under the deal.” The notion that the UN and U.S. could untangle the nuclear sanctions without affecting the rest of the sanctions was always dubious, but now the AP reports that the Obama administration is officially backtracking.
Officials say the administration can meet its obligations because of how it interprets nuclear sanctions.
For example, they say measures designed to stop Iran from acquiring ballistic missiles are nuclear-related because they were imposed to push Iran into the negotiations. Also, they say sanctions that may appear non-nuclear are often undergirded by previous actions conceived as efforts to stop Iran’s nuclear program.
The officials who provided information for this story spoke only on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to speak publicly on the private discussions.
The AP goes on to explain that this convoluted designation will essentially free 23 of the 24 Iranian banks from all sanctions. So Obama will treat Iran’s ballistic missile program like its nuclear program for purposes of rewarding them with sanctions relief, but not for the purpose of forcing them to abandon it.
Consider this in the context of several other appalling developments:
Last week, the Obama administration shipped another supply of weapons, including AGM-114 Hellfire II missiles, to the Lebanese Army – a force that is completely controlled by Iran’s proxy, Hezbollah.
The White House made sure to publicly celebrate their victory at the Supreme Court this week granting them the continued authority to refuse to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital on passports of those born in the Israeli capital. This was clearly another groveling exercise before the Iranians.
Obama has announced that he is sending 400 additional “advisors” to Iraq in order to train the “Iraqi security forces.” The reality is that these are not advisors to an independent Iraqi force. Instead of directly arming the Kurds, Obama is sending 3,500 of our finest troops into a meat-grinder of an Islamic civil war in order to deliver Iraq into the hands of Iran, which currently controls Baghdad.
What should boil the blood of anyone who loves America most is that Iran and Hezbollah are responsible for more military deaths than any other country or entity in modern history. According to the Jerusalem Center for Public Policy, Iran and Hezbollah were responsible for killing 1,100 U.S. soldiers in Iraq and incapacitating thousands more. And this is all putting aside the vast history of killing American troops, from the Marine barracks in Beirut to the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia.
This is how we are going to repay Iran for their genocide? Are Republicans, with their endless timidity, prepared to be complicit in this immoral appeasement of Iran?

Speaking with Fox News this week, McConnell had a lot of trouble explaining why the White House has been so secretive with the contents of the Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), the backbone for Obama’s plans to negotiate the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). He was similarly dodgy when attempting to explain why he supports the president’s plan.

Establishment Republicans are desperately trying to secure the passage of Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), which would give President Obama fast-track authority to secure congressional approval of at least three secretive trade deals, are now willing to increase taxes on small businesses in a way that would violate a pledge almost every Republican Congressman has taken when elected into office.
To secure final passage through Congress of a package that would include TPA fast-track authority—which would ensure finalization of the secretive Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP), Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) and Trade in Services Agreement (TiSA), among other deals—the House would need to pass the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) package that was necessary for Senate passage of TPA. The House voted TAA down 302-126 with widespread bipartisan opposition to last week, but House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and his allies in House GOP leadership have pledged that they will try to pass it again early next week. The vote would potentially be on Monday, but more likely on Tuesday—and if there is no vote by Tuesday, it’s unlikely that Ryan will be able to succeed in his ploy to revive TPA.
TAA is a big government program usually favored by Democrats—it increases the size and scope of government, and is essentially viewed by Republicans as a welfare program—so their opposition to it during Friday’s complicated and confusing House vote schedule was not opposition to TAA as a specific concept, but opposition to the full Obamatrade package, especially TPA.
House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) gave a blistering floor speech against the full Obamatrade deal, causing a Democratic rebellion against TAA—and forcing Ryan to push Republicans to vote for that part of the package.
TAA was originally supposed to be financed with Medicare cuts – which sparked major outrage, and cries of hypocrisy in what would have certainly turned into boldly negative campaign advertisements against Republicans by Democrats this next cycle. But under pressure, Republican leadership, mainly Boehner and Ryan, negotiated with Democrats to remove the Medicare cuts from the financial backing of TAA and instead using direct tax hikes by raising the penalties for misfiled taxes. It appears there will be another attempt by Tuesday to force through new executive powers for President Obama. A vote for TAA next week is a vote to send fast-track to the President’s desk and to grant him these broad new executive authorities. If that happens, it will empower the President to form a Pacific Union encompassing 40 percent of the world’s economy and 12 nations—each with one equal vote. Once the union is formed, foreign bureaucrats will be required to meet regularly to write the Commission’s rules, regulations, and directives—impacting Americans’ jobs, wages, and sovereignty. The union is chartered with a “Living Agreement,” and there is no doubt it will seek to expand its membership and reach over time.
Fast-track will not only apply to the Pacific Union, but can expedite an unlimited number of yet-unseen international compacts for six years. There are already plans to advance through fast-track the Trade in Services Agreement, the goal of which includes labor mobility among more than 50 nations, further eroding the ability of the American people to control their own affairs.
Americans do not want this, did not ask for it, and are pleading from their hearts for their lawmakers to stop it.

President Obama is pursuing a new set of regulations, administered through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), intended to bring more economic diversity to homogenous residential enclaves presently dominated by the rich.
“A final Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) rule due out this month is aimed at ending decades of deep-rooted segregation around the country,” The Hill magnanimously reported Thursday.
“The regulations would use grant money as an incentive for communities to build affordable housing in more affluent areas while also taking steps to upgrade poorer areas with better schools, parks, libraries, grocery stores and transportation routes as part of a gentrification of those communities.”
Like so many of Obama’s economic ideas, this one centers not on incentivizing poorer communities to create wealth in situ, but in leveling the playing field by introducing poorer people into wealthy neighborhoods. The administration is relying heavily on the use of “segregation” as a descriptor for the status quo, although it’s an open question whether it’s speaking in strictly racial terms. In an interview with American Public Media’s Marketplace, President Obama says fast-tracking the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade bill would help him advance his climate change agenda, which he said is “one of my highest priorities.”
During the interview with host Kai Ryssdal of Marketplace, Obama said, “If we want to solve something like climate change, which is one of my highest priorities, then I’ve got to be able to get into places like Malaysia, and say to them, this is in your interest.”
“What leverage do I have to get them to stop deforestation?” he asked. “Well part of the leverage is, if I’m in a trade relationship with them, that allows me to raise standards, now they have to start thinking about how quick they’re chopping down their forests and what kinds of standards they need to apply to environmental conservation.”
“So, we have to engage, not withdraw,” the president stated.
Obama is in a struggle, however, with fellow Democrats who argue the measure will harm U.S. workers and give the upper hand to big business. During the interview, he specifically pointed to the “mistake” his “progressive friends” are making in not supporting fast-tracking the measure. It is time to stop making excuses for American Jewish leaders and their failure to respond to US President Barack Obama’s latest charm offensive, expressing “admiration” for Jews and “love” of Israel as a mantle to cast moral aspersions against the democratically elected government of Israel.
Obama is clearly determined to undermine the standing of the newly elected Israeli government by embarking on a campaign to promote an utterly fictional narrative of the Arab-Israeli conflict, even in advance of the June 30 deadline of the “negotiations” with Iran.
He orchestrated interviews with journalists Jeffrey Goldberg and Tom Friedman, whom he uses regularly to convey his distaste for Israeli policies – and Ilana Dayan of Israel’s Channel 2 TV. Considered a tough investigative journalist, Dayan on this occasion acted as though she were launching an Obama fan club.
She failed to pose any challenging questions and instead provided openings for him to benevolently display his loathing for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Obama also gave a major address to a Jewish audience at Washington’s Conservative Adas Israel congregation.
One of his acolytes, David Axelrod, recalls Obama – who for many years belonged to a church with an anti-Semitic pastor – describing himself as “the closest thing to a Jew” who has ever served as an American president. At Adas Israel, Obama even described himself as “an honorary member of the tribe” and called on Israelis and Jews to concentrate on “tikkun olam – repairing the world,” implying that universal humanistic values are more in keeping with Judaism than nationalism.
