Obama Administration Pushed Through $181.5 Billion in Regulations Last Year

Photo Credit: WNDBy Fox News. The Obama administration pushed through $181.5 billion in regulations last year, according to a new report from a conservative think tank that claimed the rules will lead to higher energy bills, more expensive consumer goods and fewer jobs.

The new rules mostly focus on clean energy and vehicle regulations, said the American Action Forum, which issued the report Monday. The state that was hit the hardest by new regulations was California, which was slapped with $7.9 billion in new rules, followed by Texas ($6.5 billion) and Ohio ($3.4 billion).

“What do these huge sums mean for individuals? Higher energy prices, pricier household goods, a more expensive mortgage, and the promise of yet another year of unrelenting regulatory growth,” concludes the report, which was authored by Sam Batkins, the group’s director of regulatory policy. “No one can accuse the president of abandoning his promises on regulation in 2014.” (Read more about the money Obama Administration used HERE)

Obama has Threatened to Veto Keystone Pipeline Approval

By The Wall Street Journal. The Obama administration said Tuesday it would veto legislation that would authorize the Keystone XL pipeline or make a change Republicans want to the Affordable Care Act, hardening battle lines on top GOP priorities the day the party took control of both chambers of Congress.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said President Barack Obama would veto legislation approving TransCanada Corp. ’s proposed pipeline, which would send up to 830,000 barrels of oil a day from Canada’s oil sands to refineries on the Gulf Coast. Mr. Earnest also said the president wouldn’t sign a potential tweak to the health law to alter its definition of a full-time worker, a move that would allow businesses to cover fewer workers.

Congressional Republicans consider Keystone XL’s approval one of their top legislative goals and placed it at the front of their agenda as the 114th Congress opened on Tuesday. (Read more from this story HERE)

Obama Makes Up Bible Verse to Justify Amnesty

World Net Daily

World Net Daily

When quoting the Bible, the best advice is to accurately quote the words on the page.

President Obama had some trouble with that Tuesday, as he attempted to cite Holy Scripture, but did so with a verse that simply doesn’t exist.

“The Good Book says don’t throw stones at glass houses, or make sure we’re looking at the log in our eye before we are pointing out the mote in other folks’ eyes,” Obama said during a speech in Nashville, Tennessee, as he was justifying his recent executive action granting amnesty for up to 5 million illegal aliens.

Unfortunately for the president, the Bible never mentions “glass houses.”

Obama’s remarks are coming under heavy fire from some in the media, including Jim Treacher of the Daily Caller.

“This is a new level of dishonest narcissism, even for Obama,” Treacher writes. “But I suppose it’s no surprise. He makes up stuff that isn’t in the Constitution all the time. Why not make up stuff that isn’t in the Bible? It’s all the same. Those guys are dead, and he has a lot of power, so too bad.

‘I’m Not Done': Obama Swaggers His Way Into 2015

th (1)This time eight years ago, Barack Obama and his staff were in the final stages of preparing to launch a presidential campaign. So was pretty much everyone else. The midterms were done; the opposition party had ridden a wave to a wipe-out.

The political world was already looking past President George W. Bush. Obama was leading the charge.

On Friday, Obama stood at the podium at the White House and dared anyone to try the same with him.

“Interesting stuff happens in the fourth quarter. And I’m looking forward to it,” Obama said, at the outset of the 2014 wrap-up press conference at the White House, as he promised a year that would be heavy on outreach to Congress but also moving forward on his own — protecting health care and financial regulations, and pushing forward on immigration reform.

Or, as he put it in the subject line of the email that went out from his old political group Organizing for Action as the press conference wrapped up: “I’m not done.”

By Michael Warren.

Barack Obama apologized to Cuban president Raul Castro during their phone conversation after the American commander in chief’s opening remarks. Speaking to reporters at his final White House press briefing of 2014 Friday afternoon, Obama gave more details about his phone call with the communist leader of Cuba earlier this week before the announcement of a change in U.S. policy on the Caribbean island nation.

Obama began the phone call with Castro with what he described as 15 minutes of opening comments. It was the first conversation between the heads of state in both countries since 1961.

Why We Isolated Cuba for 53 Years

By Lee Edwards.

Contrary to what President Obama has asserted, U.S. sanctions have worked. Communist Cuba is so economically weak it cannot export Marxism-Leninism as in the past, and pro-democracy advocates have become emboldened.

For more than five decades, presidents, Democratic and Republican, politically isolated and economically sanctioned Communist Cuba for the best of reasons. Here are four of them:

1. Cuba has been a communist prison since Fidel Castro came to power. From 1959 through the late 1990s, more than 100,000 Cubans were placed in forced labor camps, prisons and other places of incarceration. Between 15,000 and 17,000 people were shot. Castro justified his reign of terror with these words: “The revolution is all; everything else is nothing.”

2. Communist Cuba exported Marxism-Leninism throughout Latin America, in Colombia, Guatemala, Venezuela and especially Nicaragua, which was taken over by the Marxist Sandinistas in the late 1970s. Another target was the small island nation of Grenada, which was to function as the third leg of a communist triangle of Cuba, Grenada and Nicaragua. President Reagan foiled the communists’ plans by freeing Grenada from a pro-Moscow radical regime. As a Venezuelan communist leader explained, the Cuban revolution was like a “detonator.”

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has filed a bill seeking to repeal President Obama’s executive order that delays deportation of five million immigrants, the Courier Journal reported Saturday.

Paul’s bill, “Preventing Executive Overreach on Immigration Act,” is companion legislation to a House bill passed last week from Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.)

The Kentucky Republican’s proposal, posted on his website Friday, prohibits the president from using discretion when determining who to deport.

Senator Paul Introduces Legislation to Prevent President Obama’s Executive Amnesty

Senator Rand Paul today introduced the Preventing Executive Overreach on Immigration Act. This is companion legislation to Congressman Ted Yoho’s bill (H.R. 5759) that passed the House of Representatives on December 4, 2014 on a 219-197 vote.

This legislation would end President Obama’s executive action on immigration and restore the Congress’ constitutional role as the body to craft legislation. Article I of the Constitution places the legislative powers in Congress. The President does not have the power under the Constitution to rewrite immigration laws to exempt classes of people from a law that was passed by Congress and signed into law.

“I believe that the Constitution is clear that the legislative power resides in Congress. The President is not a king and he does not have the power to enact laws then execute his own laws. Our Constitution is being violated by this executive order and other actions by the Obama Administration to govern by executive fiat,” Sen. Paul stated.

A copy of the legislation can be found HERE.

Juan Williams: Sony Execs' Emails Reveal White Liberal Hypocrisy in all its Glory

Credit - Fox News

White liberal hypocrisy on race is so delightful for conservatives.

White conservatives are always on defense against charges of hating President Obama because he is black; suppressing minority voters and indifference to the difficulty minorities have living everyday with the legacy of slavery and a culture filled with stereotypes of black inferiority.

This week white conservatives can take a break, step out of the dock and make way for white liberals.

Hacked emails from Hollywood’s white, liberal elite show them belittling the president by assuming his taste in movies is confined to racial stereotypes fitting just another black guy.

“Should I ask him if he likes’ DJANGO?’” asked Amy Pascal, a Sony Pictures’ co-chair. Scott Rudin, a movie producer, responds: “Or ‘The Butler’… or ‘Ride-Along. ‘ I bet he likes Kevin Hart.”

Where to begin unpacking that powder keg of race and class bigotry?

Pascal is one of Hollywood’s most powerful people and certainly at the top of the movie industry’s list of most influential women. She must have a penetrating intellect and tremendous business savvy.

Dems Push to Confirm Radical Nominee for Surgeon General, Views Gun Ownership as Public Health Issue

For over a year, the United States has not had an official Surgeon General. While Democrats point the blame at Republicans for daring to not rubberstamp any and all of President Obama’s nominees, the fact is that in keeping with the typical policy decisions of the Obama Administration, the top choice for Surgeon General pushed by Democrats is the incredibly-radical Dr. Vivek Murthy, a man who threatens our civil liberties by asserting that gun ownership is a public health issue and should be treated as such.

Now, with Democrats enjoying the twilight of their majority in the Senate, Senate Democrats may be planning to bring Murthy’s appointment up for a vote in the lame-duck session before handing over control over to the Republicans.

Under the rules crafted by current Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid designed to stifle minority opinions, Murthy would only need a simple majority for his confirmation in the Senate. However, considering that the full weight of the NRA is against the doctor who views it as government’s responsibility to “cure” gun violence by tasking the healthcare community to get involved in the private affairs of gun owners, even Democrats should fear what their vote would spell-out to voters who, just weeks ago, sent a resounding message to Democrats and swung a whopping nine seats in the Senate back to Republicans.

Cruz on Obama's Foreign Policy: 'Weakness is Provocative'

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has surveyed what he calls “the Obama-Clinton foreign policy,” and he does not like what he sees.

Speaking Wednesday at The Heritage Foundation, Cruz condemned current policy as “appeasement and moral equivalency.”

Said Cruz: “One of the sad legacies of the last six years” is that “our friends no longer trust us and our enemies no longer fear us,” and that the United States risks going from “the leader of the free world to a dutiful and obedient member of the international community.”

Cruz criticized former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s remarks that we should “respect” and “empathize” with our enemies.

“What our foreign policy needs isn’t empathy,” said Cruz. “We need clarity, force and resolve. When America recedes from the world, the world is more dangerous.”

Obama: Next President Won’t Dare Reverse my Executive Action on Immigration

Washington Times - ObamaThe next president won’t dare take the political risk that would come with undoing recent executive action on immigration reform, a defiant President Obama said Tuesday as he predicted his highly controversial steps will survive the test of time, even under a Republican administration.

Mr. Obama conceded that without new legislation, his action — which includes de facto amnesty for more than 4 million illegal immigrants — technically could be undone rather easily.

But in practical terms, the president said his successor will be unable to roll back his executive moves because doing so would carry grave political consequences.

His comments underscore the White House’s belief that the executive action, while lacking the heft of actual law, still can permanently transform the way America deals with illegal immigration.

“It’s true a future administration might try to reverse some of our policies. But I’ll be honest with you — the American people basically have a good heart and want to treat people fairly and every survey shows that if, in fact, somebody has come out and subjected themselves to a background check, registered, paid their taxes, the American people support allowing them to stay. So any future administration that tried to punish people for doing the right thing, I think, would not have the support of the American people,” Mr. Obama told a supportive crowd at a town hall meeting in Nashville. “It’s true, theoretically, a future administration could do something that I think would be very damaging. It’s not likely, politically, that they reverse everything we’ve done.”

Radio Host: Obama Has An ‘Anti-American Foreign Policy’

Photo Credit: Jacquelyn Martin / AP

Coming to talk radio entirely by accident after a long career in mainstream journalism, Chris Plante, 54, is a rising national star who excels at entertaining and informing his growing audience. With a unique, authentic voice, this quick-witted host often engages with callers who disagree with him by listening and then asking them tough questions.

If the caller won’t engage, he’ll dismiss them as just another “squirrel in the backyard,” while giving sustenance to listeners who frequently report altered thinking from listening to Plante, much to the chagrin of what he describes as “the loony left.”

We interviewed Plante after one of his successful 3 hour morning shows atWMAL in Washington, D.C. He can be found at iHeartRadio and is also a Cumulus host, a network which is, theoretically, in 110 cities and which could put him on air in other cities.

With 17 years spent at CNN, Plante is a frequent thorn-in-the-side of the mainstream media. In this exclusive 22 minute video interview, Plante says, “I think the Iranian regime wishes that they had a media as compliant as the American media is to the Obama administration. It is just a referee bought and paid for by one team, by the Democrats.”

Referring to the drone attacks that killed four American citizens on orders by our President, Plante says “he [Obama] literally, gets away with murder.” When you consider it, the precedent “is very, very bad.”
