Just-Released Poll Shows Dems’ Preferred Choice for President and It’s Not Hillary

The Hill reported Friday that, according to a recent poll, most Democrats would choose a third term for President Obama over presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

According to a WPA research survey, 67 percent of the Democrats surveyed would abandon the current presidential election if there was a way for Obama to serve a third term.

The poll shows only 28 percent are ready for a changing of the guard, while 6 percent remain undecided.

A memo from WPA read, “The results should give pause to the Hillary Clinton campaign as Democratic respondents clearly prefer the status quo to a Clinton presidency.”

With the Obama administration winding down, the president’s approval rating seems to be increasing.

Earlier this week the Washington Post released the findings of a Washington Post/ABC News poll which reveals 56 percent of those polled approve of Obama’s performance. The poll also shows that 56 percent feel the time has come to take the nation in a different direction.

Obama’s net approval, as indicated by the poll figures, is nearly 80, compared to former President Clinton’s approval of almost 60.

While President Obama is enjoying an increase in his approval rating, Hillary Clinton’s rating has decreased.

A Gallup poll from April shows Clinton’s favorability rating to be 36 points. That is down drastically from the 63 points she received in November.

The Clinton campaign is striving to garner additional support from voters who had supported Sen. Bernie Sanders.

On a positive note for Clinton, the survey suggests that Sanders’ supporters are rallying behind her rather than Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. (For more from the author of “Just-Released Poll Shows Dems’ Preferred Choice for President” please click HERE)

Sanders May Endorse Clinton After Meeting This Week

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said Sunday he won’t endorse Hillary Clinton for president until they meet and he measures her commitment to battling Wall Street, wealth inequality and other priorities that powered his rogue presidential campaign.

“I look forward to sitting down with Secretary Clinton and see what kind of platform she is going to support and how aggressive she is going to be,” he said on CBS’ Face the Nation. ”Dependent on how Secretary Clinton comes down on many of these major issues will determine how closely we can work with her.”

Sanders’ remarks were the first indication that the two Democrats planned to “chat” Tuesday evening after votes in the District of Columbia, the final Democratic presidential primary.

Defeating presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump remains his first priority, Sanders said, leaving open the prospect of pursuing that goal at some point at Clinton’s side.

That seemed inevitable. Clinton last week claimed the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination, secured President Barack Obama’s endorsement and took immediate aim at Trump. And Sanders was powering down his campaign, laying off half of his staff and meeting with Senate Democrats who said afterward the Vermont independent seemed under no illusions about the fact that his upstart campaign was near its end. On Sunday, he was to meet with supporters and senior advisers at his home in Burlington, Vermont.

On Sunday, he made clear that his endorsement of Clinton was not to be taken for granted.

The campaign Sanders built is valuable to Clinton. Rooted in pricey notions of free college educations and health care for all, Sanders’ campaign attracted scores of younger and female voters. These voters earned Sanders 45 percent of the Democratic delegates to the party’s national convention. Across the Sunday talk shows, Sanders suggested he wants to ensure that Clinton’s support for those priorities is more than words spoken by her or printed on the party’s platform.

“Generally speaking, a platform is a piece of paper tucked away in some kind of drawer, but I do not want that to be the case nor do millions of people who voted for real change want that to be the case,” Sanders said on CBS. “That is exactly what Secretary Clinton and I will be talking about.” (For more from the author of “Sanders May Endorse Clinton After Meeting This Week” please click HERE)

Socialist Scumbag Sanders Only Candidate Not to Denounce Tel Aviv Terror Killings

Both Trump and Hillary Clinton have issued statements condemning the Islamic terror attack in Tel Aviv. This was Trump’s statement.

I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the outrageous terrorist shootings that took the lives of at least four innocent civilians and wounded at least twenty others in Tel Aviv yesterday.

The Israeli security forces’ investigation is ongoing, but some facts have already emerged — and they are grim.

Just as fast as the condolences arrive from the civilized world is the praise arising out of the uncivilized one. Hamas praised the attack, calling the attackers “heroes.” Reports out of Hebron indicate that residents of the terrorists’ hometown lit up the night sky with celebratory fireworks. One Palestinian “news organization” even referred to the shootings, in which the assailants dressed up as observant Jews, as a “Ramadan treat.” The leader of Hamas called the injured terrorist a “hero.” How despicable!

The American people stand strong with the people of Israel, who have suffered far too long from terrorism. Israel’s security is a matter of paramount importance to me and the American people.

But while even Hillary had to say something, there is no press release from the Sanders campaign condemning the brutal terror attack against civilians. That makes him the only candidate in the race not to have issued such a statement.

While Bernie Sanders has been notoriously weak on foreign policy, he has also taken his campaign in an overtly anti-Israel direction. From the lie about Israel killing 10,000 “innocent people” in Gaza, the Simone Zimmerman scandal, the appearances with members of the Students for Justice in Palestine hate group and the push for an anti-Israel Democratic platform, his campaign has been ugly.

And it’s hard not to wonder whether Bernie’s silence in the face of evil isn’t also a message. (For more from the author of “Socialist Scumbag Sanders Only Candidate Not to Denounce Tel Aviv Terror Killings” please click HERE)

Watch: Sanders Blasts Clinton Foundation’s Donations From Foreign Government

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) slammed the Clinton Foundation’s acceptance of donations from foreign governments in an interview on CNN’s State of the Union Sunday.

Sanders was critical of the the foundation’s getting money from foreign governments, specifically Saudi Arabia. The Clinton Foundation has come under criticism in the past for taking donations from foreign governments while Clinton was Secretary of State.

Host Jake Tapper asked Sanders, who has previously held his tongue about the Clinton Foundation, how he felt about it taking money from foreign governments which don’t respect American values while Clinton was at the State Department.

“You have not been critical of the Clinton Foundation but there are those who say that there’s something inherently wrong with an American charity, especially one with ties to a secretary of state, taking money from the Saudis and other foreign governments that don’t represent our values. Is that a fair criticism?” Tapper asked.

“Yes, it is,” Sanders said. “If you ask me about the Clinton Foundation, do I have a problem when a sitting secretary of state and a foundation run by her husband collects many millions of dollars from foreign governments, governments which are dictatorships, you don’t have a lot of civil liberties or democratic rights in Saudi Arabia. Sanders on Trump: Americans ‘Should Be Very Concerned’ About Someone Who Changes His Mind on ‘Virtually Every Issue’

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders thinks the American people should be wary of a candidate like Donald Trump, whom he says changes his mind on “virtually every issue.”

In an interview that aired Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” Sanders discussed the proposed debate between himself and the presumptive GOP nominee.

Despite the fact that he was the first person to entertain the idea, Trump issued a statement Friday saying that he would not debate Sen. Sanders, noting that “it seems inappropriate that I would debate the second place finisher.”

Sanders told “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson that it is this sort of behavior that makes Trump an untrustworthy candidate.

“Donald Trump said he wanted to go forward, then he changed his mind, said no, then he changed his mind and said yes, then he changed his mind and said no,” Sanders told Dickerson. “Maybe we’ll get a call in five minutes and he’ll say yes again. I think that is who Donald Trump is, and I think the American people should be very concerned about somebody who keeps changing his mind not only on this debate, but on virtually every issue he’s been asked about.” (Read more from “Sanders on Trump: Americans ‘Should Be Very Concerned’ About Someone Who Changes His Mind on ‘Virtually Every Issue'” HERE)

Trump Cancels Plan to Debate ‘Second-Place Finisher’ Bernie Sanders

After suggesting a debate between himself and Bernie Sanders earlier this week, GOP nominee Donald Trump has since backed away from the proposal, claiming it would be “inappropriate” to hold a debate with Sanders, the “second-place finisher.”

“As much as I want to debate Bernie Sanders — and it would be an easy payday — I will wait to debate the first-place finisher in the Democratic Party, probably Crooked Hillary Clinton, or whoever it may be,” said Trump in a statement.

On Wednesday, Trump suggested a willingness to debate Sanders during a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, provided the proceeds went to charity.

“Yes, I am [willing to debate Sanders],” Trump said. “How much is he going to pay me? If he paid a nice sum toward a charity, I’d love to do that.”

Trump doubled down on his suggestion the following day, claiming that such a debate could generate millions towards charitable contributions.

“If we can raise for maybe women’s health issues or something — if we can raise $10 million or $15 million for charity, which would be a very appropriate amount. I understand the television business very well,” Trump said Thursday during a press conference.

In response, the Sanders campaign released a statement claiming they had received offers from at least two television networks expressing a desire to host the event.

“We look forward to a substantive debate that will contrast the very different visions that Sen. Sanders and Mr. Trump have for the future of our country,” read the statement.

Soon after, the Trump campaign released its own statement saying he was unwilling to participate, claiming the networks would “make a killing” with no guarantee they would donate to a charitable cause.

Sanders followed up by mocking Trump and telling reporters, “Well, I hope that he changes his mind again. Mr. Trump has been known to change his mind many times in a day.”

“Well Mr. Trump, what are you afraid of?” Sanders asked.

Charitable benefits aside, a Sanders/Trump debate provides little political advantage for Trump. He has guaranteed his place as the Republican nominee and has little need to debate anyone beyond his Democratic presidential opponent.

Sanders, on the other hand, is locked in a desperate fight with Hillary Clinton, and needs all the attention he can get. A nationally televised event would have helped him achieve that goal. Trump Courting Bernie Voters at the Expense of His Principles – Wait, Never Mind

Why are Trump supporters working overtime to get conservatives to vote for Trump when he himself admits he’s really not that into us?

We keep hearing that it’s our job as conservatives to try to get Trump to come around to our side of things, you know, to work to get a seat at the table. Funny, we hear that stuff from people who call themselves conservatives who have already jumped on the Trump train. It’s almost like they left work early to go to the club, and we have to stay behind, finish the dishes and vacuum and reset the entire restaurant.

But hey, we’ve done the responsible thing many times, mostly because our conscience won’t allow us to do otherwise.

But in all the confusion, what with Trump supporters guilting, shaming, and prodding conservatives on Twitter and in the blogosphere, something should be made clear. This presidential race is not between a Republican and a Democrat, nor a conservative and a liberal; it is between two ends of the liberal spectrum. So far, conservatives are split on whether to vote for Trump—one side figures he’s better than Hillary, while the other is struggling with lending credence to his stated policies that are proven to destroy the free market and cause massive economic and diplomatic problems. This is serious stuff that merits real thought. Still though, Trump isn’t really trying to mend fences with conservatives, and that, along with all the abuse conservatives are taking online from his supporters, begs the question, “Why isn’t Trump trying to get our votes?”

Perhaps because Donald Trump is a very different kind of Republican (just ask him), and one would think at least part of the hesitation toward voting for him would be that he is courting Bernie supporters.

Not that it’s a bad thing in itself to court Bernie supporters, but Trump isn’t trying to sell them on any Republican-centric messaging—he is trying to capture them by parroting Bernie. In fact, he told MSNBC, “Bernie Sanders has a message that’s interesting. I’m going to be taking a lot of the things Bernie said and using them.” And so he has.

Last night, Trump had a rally in New Mexico where he talked about Bernie supporters and Bernie himself a lot. As if he has the utmost respect for him, Trump said that Bernie was getting the short end of the stick—just like he himself did—that the system was rigged against him and poor Bernie. The difference is Trump beat the system, and Bernie can’t make good deals. Trump said that he is getting 40 percent of the Bernie supporters, too. For about a month, Trump has been talking a lot about Bernie, including that Bernie is being denied the nomination because he’s telling the truth.

According to People Magazine, 20 percent of Sanders voters will vote Trump, Nate Silver expects they will go to Clinton or sit out, and has numbers that only 15% will vote Trump. Some Democratic strategists believe the Berners will become Trumpers, some think it’ll never happen, and some are pushing to vote for Trump because he’s the empty vessel they can fill up with progressive groupthink.

So knowing that Trump reads all this stuff, it’s clear he believes that the more he offers them a spot, the more Berners will be by his side in November.

Think about this: Bernie is an avowed socialist and Trump and he overlap on trade. Trump has already “pivoted” on raising the minimum wage, and rejected the Citizen’s United case; in fact, the far-left MSNBC made the point that he is wrong on everything except that notorious freedom of speech case, that hinged on banning speech.

The thing is, I’m not sure there is enough Republican identity left for most Republicans who’ve jumped on the train to know why all that would be bad. It’s gotten to the point that nothing he says matters anymore—which used to be why we all marveled at how his supporters weren’t using their heads—but apparently that brain-drain is more catchy than the Zika virus.

It’s bad that Trump seems to want to replace conservative voters with Bernie supporters, because that would mean he will be out there promising socialism to get votes. And it also means, if you have already endorsed the Donald, then you have bought the ticket to ride the socialism rail car where everyone is promised everything and nobody learns anything, as they get nearer and nearer to Utopia which, for some reason, always looks like Siberia. That way, the mindlessness of socialism is reinforced within the Republican Party rather than rebuked.

Yet this relationship between conservatives and the Republican Party is over-the-top dysfunctional. For me, I find myself shaking my head over how great the party could be if it just did what it says it’ll do, champion conservative governance and stand up to the Democrats. But then, when reality hits, I know they’ll never do that… so why do I dream?

It’s bad enough that the same philosophy that founded America can’t seem to get decent treatment by a group of people who claim they can make America great, maybe even better than ever before, as Trump said last night. But it’s worse to know that there is a massive number of people who believe a president is their ruler, and not the other way around, and that the Trump train to Utopia doesn’t want or need conservative influence.

Trump is actively pursuing unity with Paul Ryan (who is far-left on amnesty), the tech industry, GOP insiders, the GOP elite, and Bernie supporters. While his SCOTUS list was supposed to be the reason conservatives would flock to him, the problem that he has abused fellow Republicans won’t go away until he himself buries it. Then there is the fact that much of his record suggests pathological deceit…

While there remains little faith among conservatives in the direction of the Republican Party in the first place, for Trump to want to take it in the direction it is already going without apology isn’t surprising when you consider human nature. But if the destination is America, the train is heading in the opposite direction. Those that climb aboard now when it is unclear where the train is headed are doing so for the wrong reasons, fear being at the top of the list. But they should not feel fear, but grief instead, grief for the sorry mess that was made of things. Sanders Dings Disney Near Disneyland

Bernie Sanders spent his Tuesday morning campaigning mere miles from Disneyland, a.k.a. “The Happiest Place on Earth.” But the Democratic candidate devoted a portion of his speech to supporters in Anaheim, California, ripping into The Walt Disney Company, or the “Disney corporation,” as he referred to it, for unfairly compensating its workers and representing another corporation benefiting from an unjustly rigged economy . . .

“Let me just start off and be very blunt. We’re here in Anaheim. Everybody knows the major economic force here in Anaheim is the Disney corporation. Anybody here work for Disney?” Sanders asked. The crowd cheered. Sanders then asked, “Anybody here making a living wage from Disney?” The audience responded with a louder, “No!”

“Here in Anaheim and the surrounding areas, Disney pays its workers wages that are so low that many of them are forced to live in motels because they can’t afford a decent place to live,” Sanders said, as the crowd booed. “Meanwhile Disney made a record-breaking profit of nearly $3 billion last quarter.” (Disney’s $2.9 billion profit came in the first fiscal quarter of 2016 reported in January; in its most recent report of the second quarter on May 10, the company reported earnings of $2.1 billion.)

At Walt Disney World in Florida, Sanders noted, the company replaced 250 workers with low-wage foreign workers through H-1B visas. “Meanwhile the CEO of Disney made $46.5 million in total compensation last year,” Sanders said, as the crowd booed again. “That is what we’re talking about in a rigged economy.” (Read more from “Sanders Dings Disney Near Disneyland” HERE)

Organization for Mass-Murder Endorses Hillary and Bernie

While the liberal media write about white nationalists supporting Donald J. Trump, the Communist Party (CPUSA) has been broadcasting its support for the national Democratic Party and both of its candidates. But for some reason, our media have failed to take notice.

Since 1980, when Ronald Reagan was elected President, the CPUSA—which was then funded by Moscow—has been organizing what it calls an “all-people’s front” against the “extreme right,” and it usually depends on the Democratic Party as its preferred electoral vehicle. John Bachtell, national chair of the Communist Party USA, explains, “This battle has been waged over 35 years through election cycles, in the legislative arena, and in the battle to sway public opinion.”

The CPUSA endorsed Barack Obama for president in 2008 and his reelection in 2012. This year, party members are involved in the presidential campaign of Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), but are prepared to support former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton if she is the eventual nominee.

While Trump is rightly questioned about support for his campaign from such figures as David Duke, the former KKK leader, the open and admitted involvement of communists in the Democratic Party gets completely ignored by the press.

The CPUSA is based on Marxist doctrine, which calls for the abolition of private property and the overthrow of global capitalism. What is called “Cultural Marxism” seeks to eliminate traditional adherence to Judeo-Christian values and silence those in favor of traditional families and those who recognize male and female differences.

The CPUSA is associated with the International Meeting Of Communist And Workers’ Parties, which represents the international communist movement and includes the Communist Party of Russia. In its contribution to the 2014 meeting, the CPUSA combined elements of traditional Marxism with the cultural version, urging action on behalf of the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) communities, support for a “democratized and demilitarized U.S. foreign policy,” and protection of the environment “through a massive movement against our domination by the fossil fuel industry…”

In foreign affairs, the CPUSA has also called for the abolition of NATO.

In the current election campaign, the CPUSA is firmly on the side of the Democrats. In a story about the “Super Tuesday” presidential primaries, the party newspaper, the People’s World, announced that while the GOP was pushing “powerlessness,” both Democratic candidates were promoting “empowerment” for the people. This is Marxist jargon for integrating Marxist demands into Democratic Party policies.

Although the liberal media tend to highlight differences between Senator Sanders and Mrs. Clinton, the communists say there is more that unites than divides them.

The Communists dislike Trump because of his “authoritarian” tendencies and criticism of immigrants. However, while the communists claim that Trump “glorifies militarism abroad,” they have not explicitly condemned his foreign policy views, which tend to be on the isolationist side. Trump has been critical of NATO, which began as an anti-Soviet alliance, and is supportive of Russian foreign policy interests in Europe and the Middle East.

More recently, communist writer Larry Rubin expressed the Communist Party view that Sanders and Clinton have to do more to keep workers from defecting to Trump.

Ultimately, Rubin argued that in order to ensure a victory over the Republicans in November, Mrs. Clinton’s campaign should “be ready to inherit the grassroots organizational models and far reaching proposals that have attracted so many working people and millennials to Bernie Sanders’ political revolution,” and that the Sanders campaign should “be ready to unite with the Clinton effort.”

In this way, Marxists of various persuasions could take more important roles in the Clinton for president campaign.

In an interview, “Why America Is Warming To Socialism,” national CPUSA chair John Bachtell mentioned the Sanders appeal and emphasized that “democracy would be at the center” of the growth of socialism in the U.S.

In a separate article, Bachtell warned against Sanders following a third party option in November, and urged communists to continue working through the Democratic Party. While Mrs. Clinton is perceived as “more hawkish on foreign policy,” he said, she “is no neo-con.” The term “neo-con” is often used to disparage advocates of U.S. global engagement and military intervention. “She supports diplomatic efforts like the Iran nuclear deal and the normalization of relations with Cuba,” Bachtell said about Clinton.

Even on domestic issues, Clinton is acceptable to the Marxists because she “is susceptible to pressure from below” from Marxist agitators and their organizations, he said.

He went on to suggest that CPUSA members are currently working inside the Democratic Party by supporting Sanders. The Sanders program, he said, “addresses the needs of the country and is closest to our own. My guess is most of our members support the Sanders campaign.”

Going beyond the Sanders campaign, however, he said the Democratic Party as a whole includes “a substantial current of self-described democratic socialists” and other activists who “exert influence and hold leadership positions at various levels. They still see the Democratic Party as the most viable means to advance their agendas within the party system at this moment.”

As suggested by its endorsements of Obama in 2008 and 2012, the CPUSA has been very pleased with the Obama administration. The communists believe that Obama, who was influenced at an early age by CPUSA figure Frank Marshall Davis, has transformed America into a socialist state through Obamacare and other initiatives, and has changed U.S. foreign policy by establishing relations with anti-American regimes in Cuba and Iran.

Earlier this year, in response to Obama’s State of the Union address, the People’s World praised the first black president for projecting “a bold vision for a more socially and economically just nation while appealing to the hopes of the American people.” The paper said, “President Obama recounted historic achievements of the administration and advanced the challenges with full knowledge of the powerful forces arrayed in opposition.” Those achievements were said to include “creation of millions of new jobs, normalization of relations with Cuba, the Iran nuclear deal and Obamacare and extension of health care to 18 million people.”

Looking ahead, the communists are counting on a “radical restructuring of the economy as advocated by Sen. Bernie Sanders,” and “a new peaceful, non-interventionist foreign policy” that includes “elimination of weapons of mass destruction,” the closing of U.S. military bases, and “radically downsizing the US military.”

Such a plan, of course, would invite more Russian aggression in Europe and the Middle East, and encourage Chinese Communist expansion in Asia and the Pacific.

We eagerly anticipate U.S. media personalities questioning Sanders and Clinton about the support they are receiving from the CPUSA. Of course, any journalist who dares to raise the issue runs the risk of being perceived as a McCarthyite. Donald Trump Rolls out His Nickname for Bernie Sanders

Donald Trump rolled out the latest of his brand names that he employs against opponents, labeling Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders, “Crazy Bernie.”

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee made reference to the new moniker both in an interview on Fox & Friends Wednesday morning and with his ever-active Twitter account.

“I call him ‘Crazy Bernie’ because he’s not very good,” Trump told Fox.

“Who is going to run against a socialist and lose?” he asked. “I mean, he’s a socialist. You’re going to pay 95 percent tax.”

He added, “I’d love to run against him in one way, but there’s something about running against Hillary [Clinton] that I really do [inaudible].”

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt noted that Trump would have crossover appeal with Sanders voters if Clinton became the Democrat nominee. Exit polling from the West Virginia primary Tuesday night found one-third of Sanders voters would cast their ballot for Trump over Clinton in the general election.

Co-host Brian Kilmeade pointed out a Clinton match-up would be better for the billionaire candidate than one with Sanders, based on most recent polling. The Real Clear Politics average of polls gives Sanders a double-digit lead over Trump: roughly 52 to 39 percent.

“I never hit him, don’t forget. I haven’t started on him. I haven’t said anything about him. Maybe I’m going to have to start,” the GOP candidate responded.

Trump tweeted Wednesday:

As reported by Western Journalism, a Public Policy Polling survey released on Tuesday finds Clinton up a scant four points over Trump, 42 to 38 percent. The Real Clear Politics average of polls taken over the last month gives Clinton approximately a six-point lead over the presumptive GOP nominee.

The Trump campaign also received some welcomed polling news Tuesday from the battleground states of Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. A Quinnipiac University poll found very tight races in the three states. Clinton is up by a single point in both Florida (43-42 percent) and Pennsylvania (43-42 percent), while Trump has a four-point lead in Ohio (43-39 percent).
