Senate Candidate Joe Miller Agrees With Bill Clinton: Obamacare is ‘Crazy’

U.S. Senate candidate Joe Miller agreed on Wednesday with former President Bill Clinton’s assessment that Obamacare is “the craziest thing in the world” and called out Sen. Lisa Murkowski for merely seeking to “fix” the law.

The Hill reported on Tuesday that former President Clinton “steamrolled President Obama’s signature healthcare law” saying:

“You’ve got this crazy system where all the sudden 25 million more people have healthcare and then the people are out there busting it [at their jobs], sometimes 60 hours a week, [and] wind[ing] up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half.”

“It’s the craziest thing in the world,” he added.

Miller stated, “Bill Clinton got it right. Obamacare is crazy. I have fought this legislation from its inception.”

“Following the law’s passage in the Senate in the spring of 2010–through the dubious means of budget reconciliation–I called out Sen. Murkowski for joining the Republican surrender caucus and giving up on repeal. Repealing Obamacare is the only answer,” said Miller.

Local NBC affiliate KTUU ran a story following the law’s passage in March 2010, reporting that Murkowski viewed the law as a “work in progress.”

The senator stated, “Repealing this is not the answer, in my opinion, because if you just repeal and you do nothing, we will not have addressed healthcare reform.”

During a town hall in Anchorage in August 2009, as the healthcare legislation was being considered in Congress, Murkowski said, “It’s not so much that a government run plan is in and of itself a bad thing . . . What we have to have is a government-run plan that actually works.”

Murkowski voted against the effort to defund Obamacare in 2013, and while she did vote to repeal the law in December 2015, she, along with Sen. Susan Collins of Maine, introduced an amendment seeking to remove language that defunded Planned Parenthood.

Murkowski recently reiterated the view that government has a significant role to play in healthcare in an op-ed in the Alaska Dispatch News in May: “Until the Affordable Care Act is truly affordable for Alaskans and actually increases access to care, I will not ease up on my efforts to fix this unworkable law.”

“The senator’s big government mindset is entirely wrong,” said Miller. “More government involvement in the healthcare market has done exactly what I predicted: drove costs up exponentially and decreased options for Alaskans.”

Miller concluded, “I will not go to Washington with plans of ‘fixing’ Obamacare. I will fight to fully repeal Obamacare.”

Joe Miller is a limited government Constitutionalist who believes government exists to protect our liberties, not to take them away. He supports free people, free markets, federalism, the Constitutional right to life, the 2nd Amendment, religious liberty, American sovereignty, and a strong national defense.

Even Bill Clinton Knows Obamacare Is a ‘Crazy System’

Bill Clinton seemingly broke from the script Monday while campaigning for his wife in Michigan. Speaking to a group of supporters, the former president said he thinks Obamacare is a bad idea, characterizing President Obama’s signature act of legislation as “the craziest thing in the world,” The Washington Times reports.

Tell us something we don’t know. But wait a minute — doesn’t Hillary Clinton support the Affordable Care Act?

Here’s but one excerpt from a speech the former secretary of state delivered in July 2015:

“I’ve fought for quality, affordable health care my entire career. As president, I’ll defend the Affordable Care Act, build on its successes, and go even further to reduce costs. My plan will crack down on drug companies charging excessive prices, slow the growth of out-of-pocket costs, and provide a new credit to those facing high health expenses.”

Under the “Health Care” section of Clinton’s campaign website, the Democratic nominee promises to “defend and expand the Affordable Care Act.” It would appear as though Bill did not get the “defend the Affordable Care Act” memo.

Here is a clip of Clinton bashing Obamacare as a policy that kills small businesses:

There’s also this clip, in which he refers to the health care legislation as “a crazy system” that punishes the middle class.

“You’ve got this crazy system where all of a sudden 25 million more people have health care and then the people are out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half,” Bill Clinton said. “It’s the craziest thing in the world.”

The millions of Americans whom Obamacare has hurt agree with you. The question is, does your wife?

As Byron York and the Washington Examiner recently noted, though the progressive health care bill is something Hillary has “worked for all her adult life,” she’s kept eerily quiet on the subject as Election Day draws near:

“A look at transcripts of Clinton stump speeches since she kicked off the general election campaign on Labor Day finds the Democratic candidate almost never talks about Obamacare. She doesn’t promise to expand it. She doesn’t promise to protect it. She doesn’t extol its benefits. She just doesn’t mention it.”

Instead, York notes, Hillary Clinton has tailored her speeches to communicate goals of general health care reform and creating “a health care system that works.”

A smart move, given the troubles and bipartisan backlash Obamacare has received across America. Perhaps Bill and Hillary are on the same page after all. (For more from the author of “Even Bill Clinton Knows Obamacare Is a ‘Crazy System'” please click HERE)

Report: Hillary Keeping Bill off the Campaign Trail to Limit Talk of His Affairs

Fearing that the taint of sexual scandals would overshadow any positive impact, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton reportedly is minimizing the role of former President Bill Clinton in her campaign.

According to the Daily Mail, author Joe Conasaon, who wrote the new book Man of the World: The Further Endeavors of Bill Clinton, said the issue is not merely whether Republican nominee Donald Trump might mine the Clintons’ past for juicy tidbits, but what might surface about Bill Clinton’s more recent activity.

“Much more troubling to Hillary and her closest associates was the constant chatter concerning her husband’s alleged extramarital romances,” he wrote.

“If he appeared anywhere with an attractive and unattached woman, even in a group photo leaving a restaurant, her name would be ‘linked’ to him in tabloid columns, as occurred regularly for a while with Belinda Stronach, a divorced Canadian heiress in her forties who held a seat in Parliament,” Conason wrote.

There was fire behind the smoke, Conason noted, referring to Julie Tauber McMahon, who was dubbed “the energizer” because of her frequent private meetings with Bill Clinton.

Conason also names actress Gina Gershon as a rumored Clinton paramour, a claim Gershon has denied.

As for Trump, who said after Monday’s debate he had planned to bring up Bill Clinton’s affairs but then thought better of it, a comment he made this week suggests Clinton’s past may be front and center in the coming days.

“The American people have had it with years and decades of Clinton corruption and scandal,” Trump said in New Hampshire on Thursday. “And impeachment for lying. … Remember that?”

Trump’s reference was to the scandal caused by Bill Clinton’s affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Bill Clinton Slams ‘Make America Great Again’ as Racist, but He Himself Used It

Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” campaign slogan is code for moving white Southerners up the economic scale, and others down it, according to former U.S. President Bill Clinton. The curious thing is that Clinton himself used the term repeatedly while campaigning for president 25 years ago, and then again more recently.

“I’m actually old enough to remember the good old days, and they weren’t all that good in many ways,” Clinton told a supportive crowd. “That message where ‘I’ll give you America great again’ is if you’re a white Southerner, you know exactly what it means, don’t you?”

“What it means is ‘I’ll give you an economy you had 50 years ago, and I’ll move you back up on the social totem pole and other people down,’” he said.

But then Fox News did some digging. It noted Clinton’s accusation against Trump, and then created a video montage showing Clinton using the term “Make America Great Again” when launching his successful first bid for president 25 years ago. Clinton also used it in an ad for his wife — then-Senator Hillary Clinton, now the Democratic presidential nominee — in 2008.

Republicans are frequently accused of racism and bigotry for their policies. Trump has faced this charge more frequently than most, as he has made many derogatory comments about illegal immigrants from Mexico and proposed a ban on all Muslim immigrants. Trump has retreated from the full ban, and has predicted that a sizable percentage of Hispanic voters will back his candidacy in November even though polls aren’t yet reflecting this.

Trump also is reaching out to black Americans, noting that despite decades of party loyalty to Democrats, their demographic in the U.S. suffers from high unemployment, high homicide rates in the inner city, and other challenges. And he blames wrongheaded Democratic policies. (For more from the author of “Bill Clinton Slams ‘Make America Great Again’ as Racist, but He Himself Used It” please click HERE)

Bad Karma for the Clintons at Last?

Hold on; we may finally be getting some fireworks in this lackluster presidential campaign — as the Clinton Foundation scandal seems to be gathering steam.

Could the Clintons finally have to face the music for their adult-lifetime of corruption? Is it possible that Hillary Clinton’s lifelong scheme to be America’s first female president could be derailed by this power couple’s wanton venality?

I’ve watched closely through the years the Clintons’ uncanny agility at hurdling real scandals and coming out almost unscathed. Yes, Bill Clinton was impeached, but what a dud that turned out to be, with Clinton rising to the figure of beloved statesman among Democrats and his accusers being painted as petty partisans.

There has been no justice, and they have made off like bandits ever since. One might argue that it’s unfair to impute Bill Clinton’s misdeeds to his wife, but it’s not a matter of imputation. Hillary Clinton has been integrally involved every step of the way — from enabler to enforcer to joint participant. Don’t ever forget her complicity, such as her leading role in destroying the train of women who dared to blow the whistle on him.

From the beginning, these two have stepped all over people (Travelgate) and mutually abused and destroyed Bill’s harassment victims. But do you remember the grating mantra of the Clinton-guarding media? “These are private matters that have nothing to do with his public life. Private conduct is irrelevant to one’s fitness for public office.”

Well, these disgraceful hacks don’t have that excuse in their arsenal of dodges this time. There is no way even a journalism school valedictorian could credibly argue that the Clinton Foundation graft didn’t directly involve the public interest.

The media and Democratic Party’s joint alibis for the Clintons through the years have puffed the Clintons up with a sense of invincibility. The couple have to believe there is nothing they could do that would bring them down.

When I first heard about the foundation’s influence peddling, I had little doubt there was truth to it, but I had no expectation that anything would come of it. In a sense, the Clintons have benefited from the plethora of charges leveled against them over the years. After a while, these allegations — no matter how credible — become just noise and are easily characterized as another chapter in a decades-long partisan witch hunt.

It’s awfully convenient for the Clintons and their liberal hatchet men to paint every scandal as a politically motivated slander, but when the media and the Democratic Party themselves always refuse to put truth above their own ideological and political interests, it’s inevitable that only Republicans would bring these charges.

But the Clinton Foundation scandal seems to be different. It is objectively true that the Clintons have become mega-millionaires since the close of Bill’s second term — and they’ve done it through exorbitant speaking fees, which, absent other consideration, couldn’t possibly benefit the payers commensurate to their payments, and bizarre contributions to their foundation by foreign interests that had unusual access to Hillary’s State Department.

Bill Clinton flippantly dismissed the suggestion of any quid pro quo, saying there is no evidence that any of the donors received anything for their donations. When asked whether there is at least an appearance of impropriety, he said, “I’m not responsible for anybody else’s perception.” It couldn’t be more fitting that he was the first postmodern president. He lent Oval Office credence to the demonic lie that words have no meaning apart from what people choose individually to assign to them. He’s unctuously transitioned from “It depends upon what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is” to “I can’t be held accountable for your accurate perception that my wife and I are wholly corrupt and have not only used our public positions to financially profit but also compromised and damaged the nation’s interests in the process.”

Just think about the charge that Crown Prince Salman of Bahrain secured a meeting with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that led to her approval of certain extremely controversial arms sales to Bahrain after his kingdom donated up to $150,000 directly to the Clinton Foundation and some $32 million to the Clinton Global Initiative. This alone would be enough to bring down a deified Roman emperor.

The Associated Press reported that more than half the people outside the government who met with Hillary Clinton while she was secretary of state donated to the Clinton Foundation either individually or through related entities. Clinton apologists are already trying to tell us there’s nothing to see here, but sentient human beings know better.

No president in modern history, including Richard Nixon, has been the scandal virtuoso that both of the Clintons are in their own right. The jig just may be up.

WikiLeaks editor Julian Assange promises more email dumps that will bring Hillary Clinton down. Wouldn’t it be the profoundest poetic justice if the Clintons were done in by the very emails Hillary thought she had deep-sixed months ago? Bill Clinton’s Pay at For-Profit Education Company Topped $17.5 Million

Bill Clinton was paid more than $1 million in 2015 by Laureate Education, a global operator of for-profit colleges, according to tax returns released today by Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

The new figure brings the former president’s total compensation from Laureate to more than $17.5 million for his five-year role as an “honorary chancellor.” His role consisted of advising the company on educational matters and traveling to campuses across the world to speak to young people. Clinton ended his position at Laureate in April 2015 after Hillary Clinton launched her bid for the White House.

Laureate International Universities, the company’s international arm for which Clinton worked, has donated $1 million to $5 million to the Clinton Foundation, with a new contribution made as recently as the second quarter of this year, according to records posted on the foundation’s website. Hillary Aide Cheryl Mills OK’D Oil Deal That Put $500K in Bill’s Pocket

Then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton publicly defended an embattled banker during an official visit to Bangladesh while Clinton Foundation officials tried to steer money from an Abu Dhabi oil company into the banker’s coffers.

A Daily Caller News Foundation investigation traced the convoluted payment by TAQA — formally known as the the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company — to Muhammad Yunus’ Grameen Bank. Yunus is a long-time friend and Clinton Foundation donor.

The oil company deal eventually put as much as $500,000 into President Bill Clinton’s pockets via a speaking fee he got in Scotland.

The complicated set of international transactions is contained in a cryptic May 7, 2012, email chain between Cheryl Mills, then Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff, and Amitabh Desai, the Clinton Foundation’s foreign policy director. The email chain was obtained by Citizens United, the conservative activist group that is the lead plaintiff in multiple federal Freedom of Information Act court cases.

TAQA is a huge oil and gas company 74 percent owned by the Abu Dhabi government that operates in 11 countries, including Canada and the United States. The firm in 2010 won the first of three “blanket agreements” with the Obama administration to import billions of cubic feet of natural gas from Canada into the United States. Report: Bill Clinton Received Millions of Dollars From Sharia Law Educational Firm

Former President Bill Clinton has received several million dollars from GEMS Education, a Dubai-based organization that uses Sharia law as its guiding principles, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation investigative report.

The investigation found that according to tax records from 2011 to 2014, Clinton, the husband of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, received $5.6 million in fees for serving as an honorary chairman for GEMS, which the report describes as “one of the most dominant educational programs in the Middle East, with 51 separate schools operating in the region. Globally, the for-profit company claims that 250,000 students are learning under its program in 170 countries.”

The report says GEMS operates schools in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, Northern Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom. It also has two “international” schools in Chicago.

One of the Dubai schools has as its purpose statement, “Our aim is teach all Muslim students the pillars of Islam, Islamic faith and morals, enabling them to efficiently apply them to their lives. To increase the knowledge of Islam we share with the children, the stories of prophets, manners of living a Muslim’s life, the five pillars of Islam.”

GEMS also has donated between $1 million and $5 million to the Clinton Foundation, according to the report, and “was an official sponsor of the 2013 and 2014 Clinton Global Initiative.”

In an interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation, counterterrorism analyst Stephen Coughlin wondered why a former president, and husband of a presidential candidate, would accept money from such an organization. “Why would Bill Clinton be participating in programs that teach Sharia in foreign countries where that is the specific objective of the Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS and al-Qaida?” he said.
