US-Mexico Border Braces for Summer Migrant Surge as Children Risk Lives Alone, Seeking Obama Amnesty

1000By Tom Dart. The child-sized blue jeans lay twisted and forlorn in the scrubland along one of the most popular routes for undocumented migrants crossing from Mexico into Texas . . .

But spring and summer are peak seasons for crossings by other means. A couple of minutes earlier a border patrol van drove under the bridge along a bone-jangling rutted single-track path, carrying 13 women and children from Guatemala and Honduras who had turned themselves in to border patrol agents.

“Every day we’re getting more women and children than the day before,” said Cabrera, 41, a local border patrol union representative. He estimated that 60% of those apprehended are turning themselves in.

It is almost a year since a surge in crossings by unaccompanied Central American children overwhelmed local processing and holding centres and put the Rio Grande Valley at the centre of a humanitarian and political crisis.

Senior security and immigration officials have expressed confidence that this summer will not see a repeat of those scenes: fewer people are attempting to cross the border, a result which officials attribute to a successful campaign in Central America to persuade would-be migrants that even if they reach the US, they will have little prospect of remaining. Shocking Images From Cameras on Southern Border Capture Steady Stream of Illegals Sneaking Into US with Drugs and Guns

Cameras placed along Texas’ 1,200-mile border with Mexico have captured the stream of illegal immigrants sneaking into the country on a daily basis.

The network of more than 1,000 motion detectors, similar to those used to film wildlife, have been placed strategically in areas that have not been secured – where Mexican citizens can cross and evade capture with ease.

They helped border guards apprehend nearly 30,000 suspects and led to 88,400 pounds of drugs being seized in 2014 as part of Operation Drawbridge.

The system has also had a significant impact on Mexican cartels and their ability to smuggle narcotics, people and stolen vehicles between the two countries.

The startling images have been revealed as President Obama continues to fight to push through an executive order to shield illegal immigrants from deportation. Arizona Sheriff Calls Out Obama, Insists Our Borders are Not “More Secure Than Ever”

Photo Credit: Western Journalism By Heather Laskin. For all of President Obama’s talk of the border being safer than ever, Pinal County, Ariz., Sheriff Paul Babeu provided some evidence to the contrary when he spoke before the House Judiciary Committee on the issue of illegal immigration Tuesday.

Babeu, America’s 2011 “Sheriff of the Year” and an Iraq War veteran, testified before the committee that between 88,000 and 123,000 illegal aliens are apprehended at the Tucson Sector, one of nine border-patrol zones along the U.S.-Mexico border, each year. The Tucson Sector covers most of the state of Arizona from the New Mexico state line to the Yuma County line — a total of 262 border miles.

Between 17 and 30 percent of those apprehended have a criminal record in the U.S. “This clearly shows that the border is not more secure than ever,” Babeu said.

He also detailed how 30 to 50 illegal alien criminals are released into Pinal County every day. “These are the people that everybody, including the president, said are the bad actors,” he said. Many of those released have criminal records that include rape, manslaughter, child molestation, financial crimes, armed robbery, and assault against law enforcement.

Babeu said he has asked the federal government for more information regarding those individuals and their criminal histories, but the government refuses to give it to him. “I, as the sheriff, who swore an oath to protect the people of my county, should have a right to that information,” Babeu declared.

He stressed to committee members that the situation is so lawless in some areas of Pinal County — the number one pass through county in America for drug and human smuggling — that it often feels like a war-zone on American soil. (Read more about what Arizona sheriff said HERE)

Two US Veterans Disappear in Mexico

By KRGV. The family of two missing veterans in Matamoros is desperate for any word of their safety.

Ernesto and Jesus Garcia were reported missing in Mexico after they did not return home on Monday. The brothers from Brownsville were visiting their grandmother.

Family said they were staying in the south-west side of the city, about 20 minutes south of Brownsville.

The family said this was a trip the brothers made often. Every few months, they would visit their family in Matamoros and check-in on their grandmother.

This trip was different because the two decided to drive home to the U.S. in the middle of the night. (Read more from this story HERE)

Obama Just Picked a Massive Fight With Border Agents

The Obama administration is starting to implement its executive actions on immigration from November 2014 — and its early guidelines just set up a fight with enforcement agents who are already ticked off at the White House.

Applications for the new “deferred action” program aren’t expected to open up until spring. But federal immigration agents are already being told to consider whether immigrants in their custody might qualify for the new program — and not to deport them if they might.

The new guidance that Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers are receiving was reported by Breitbart Texas a few weeks ago, after receiving leaked documents from a Customs and Border Protection agent. (The Associated Press reported on a similar set of guidelines on Wednesday.) The leaks make it clear that the agents themselves are extremely unhappy that they’re being told not to deport immigrants who they know are unauthorized — and in fact, if anything, are being told to help them. Immigration agents have long distrusted the Obama administration’s commitment to enforcing immigration law aggressively. That relationship is about to get a whole lot rockier.

The fact that the White House is already in a fight with agents before anyone has even gotten the chance to apply for the new program is a big deal for both the political fight over the executive actions, and the policy battle over their implementation. The resistance of federal immigration agents was one big reason that the Obama administration’s first attempt to protect some unauthorized immigrants, in 2010 and 2011, didn’t work — and will make it much harder for the government to roll out the new program. On the political front, agents — and in particular their unions — have become an unlikely ally of the congressional Republicans leading the political attacks against the administration’s program. As a theoretical legal argument over the basic constitutionality of the president’s actions grows into an argument about how they’re being implemented, agents are going to play a key role. Border Stat Posted, and Then Removed

Photo Credit: ERIC GAY / AP

Most of the people the Border Patrol stopped from sneaking into the country last year were from countries other than Mexico, according to agency statistics, a shift that might have provided fodder for politicians leading up to Tuesday’s election.

But they didn’t get much of a chance. The Border Patrol’s annual statistics were posted on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Web site for about five hours on Oct. 10, then taken down.

Now some are questioning whether that decision was an example of the Obama administration playing politics with public information.

Even before Tuesday, the administration said it was waiting until after the elections to deal with immigration reform so that any losses would not be blamed on the Democrats’ proposal. For some, removing the apprehension statistics — which both parties could use to criticize U.S. immigration laws — was a political move.

“It worries me that they may have been taken down for purely political reasons,” said Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah). “If the information is ready, it should be made available.”

The Border States of America Shows Perils of Admin's Lawlessness, Amnesty

Photo Credit: Jacquelyn Martin / APFor the past six years, the Obama Administration has invited and encouraged the wretched humanitarian crisis we now find on the Republic’s southern border. The president declared – in brazen violation of statutory and Constitutional law – that the government would no longer deport unaccompanied minor illegal immigrants. He also made clear that following this year’s midterm elections, he would take executive action to grant amnesty to millions of illegals.

This is why Tea Party Patriots (TPP) produced The Border States of America. Hosted by Nick Searcy, star of FX’s hit show Justified, this one-hour documentary focuses attention on the border crisis in a way the mainstream media refuse to do. You won’t see a more important film this year, and like all of our great ideas, this one came from the grass roots.

Mark Hager, a college professor and North Carolina TPP State Coordinator, was all too aware of the border crisis before it briefly held the national media’s attention. Seeing an educational opportunity, Mark reached out to contacts he’d established in founding the American Security Coalition, a network of Southern border sheriffs and grassroots activists throughout the country, and urged TPP to make the documentary. With TPP support, The Border States of America was born.

We’re thrilled and honored to have a conservative celebrity of Nick Searcy’s stature hosting The Border States of America. Nick would be the first to tell you, though, that the stars of this film are the border sheriffs. “At the end of the day, we get the first phone call,” says Val Verde County, Texas Sheriff Joe Martinez. “They don’t call the FBI or the National Park Service. They call the sheriff’s office.”

Citizen Journalist Kidnapped and Murdered Near Texas Border by Mexican Cartel

Photo Credit: BreitbartA citizen journalist in the border city of Reynosa, Mexico has fallen victim to the hands of the Gulf Cartel in the most brazen attempt to date to silence information about the worsening security situation on the Mexican side of the shared border with Texas.

Social media postings on Thursday morning mourned the passing of Maria Del Rosario Fuentes Rubio, a Reynosa doctor better known by her Twitter handle @Miut3.

Law enforcement sources in Tamaulipas, Mexico confirmed her kidnapping Wednesday afternoon and found her body overnight. Due to the early stages of her investigation authorities didn’t release details of the murder. Officials who spoke with Breitbart Texas said they are not only looking at social media but also at her work as a doctor and acquaintances before determining the motive for the murder.

On Thursday early morning the twitter handle @miut3 posted a farewell message identifying Fuentes by name, posting her picture and telling the community to remain quiet about Reynosa and not make her mistakes “you won’t get anything out of it” as well as warning other citizen journalists that criminals were on to them. The profile image of @Miut3 was changed from the Catwoman photo she always used to a photograph of Fuentes’ bloodied body.

Judicial Watch's Farrell: ISIS Terrorists Did Cross Mexican Border

Photo Credit: Gregory BullBy Bill Hoffmann.

Rep. Duncan Hunter is not lying about Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists crossing over the U.S.-Mexico border, according to Chris Farrell, director of research and investigation for Judicial Watch.

Farrell said Friday on the “Steve Malzberg Show” on Newsmax TV that his sources have confirmed that four Islamic State members have been apprehended. Hunter said he had heard that 10 had crossed over.

“It was not instantaneous recognition, they didn’t declare themselves, there wasn’t documentation,” Farrell said.

“This was a matter of detaining people who were suspect and then hours later with additional follow-up and additional record checks and interviews, they confirmed back down to the field level that they were ISIS operatives.”

Photo Credit: Top Right NewsTwo of Obama’s Illegal Alien ‘Children’ Escape Detention, Carjack 91-Year Old WWII Veteran

By Brian Hayes.

The narrative of Barack Obama’s virtual amnesty for 60,000 “poor unaccompanied children” took a hit this week as two illegals escaped from DHS custody and led police in two states on a 220-mile crime spree.

Two teenage illegal aliens who were allowed into the U.S. in recent months by Barack Obama, broke out of a detention facility in Illinois and committed two carjackings, including of a 91-year-old Navy veteran.

The Guatemalan illegals, ages 16 and 17, were eventually caught. That’s the good news. The bad news is that despite their crimes, they will remain in the United States.

As TRN has reported for months, Obama engineered this border bum rush of tens of thousands of illegals, who swarmed an overwhelmed Border Patrol and were quickly transported to all 50 states — skipping critical medical checks that have led to the spread of dangerous disease in at least 14 states.

But in conjunction with a lapdog media, the Administration and leading Democrats have pretended these illegals were all helpless, harmless “children” escaping crime and miserable poverty in Central America.

Photo Credit: APHispanics want Obamacare for illegal immigrant ‘dreamers’

By Stephen Dinan.

Top Hispanic leaders asked President Obama last week to grant some illegal immigrants access to Obamacare, saying the “dreamers” to whom the White House has given tentative work permits are already paying taxes, so they deserve government benefits.

The request is yet another complication stemming from the legal limbo Mr. Obama created for the dreamers, hundreds of thousands of young adults to whom the president gave a tentative legal status in 2012, but who were brought to the U.S. illegally by their parents as minors and thus remain illegal immigrants.

Under government policy, illegal immigrants are barred from buying insurance on Obamacare’s exchanges, and about half the states also prohibit them from getting Medicaid benefits. But the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda said those whom Mr. Obama has freed from the danger of deportation should be considered “lawfully present for all purposes, including eligibility for public benefits and affordable health care.”

Alleged Drug Smuggler Tried to Use a U.S. National Guard Bag

Photo Credit: APA suspected drug smuggler trying to move four kilograms of cocaine from the Texas border to Connecticut drew the suspicion of authorities because he used a bag with the U.S. National Guard logo on it. The value of the seized cocaine ranged from $160,000 near the Texas border to $640,000 at its final destination.

The arrest came when a U.S. Border Patrol agent at the Falfurrias checkpoint got information about an upcoming drug load and stopped a passenger bus that was travelling north, according to court records obtained by Breitbart Texas.

One of the agents went into the bus and asked Hector Samuel Perez, a 26-year-old legal resident from Mexico, where he was headed. Perez said he was headed to Houston to see his sister; the agent’s suspicions had been peaked because he saw that the traveler had a shoulder bag with the National Guard logo on it.

Another Standoff Brewing? Law Enforcement Nervous as Militia Members Plan to Block Bridges Going into Mexico

Law enforcement officials in Texas are preparing for what might end up as a stand-off between militia members and law enforcement agents as militia members are planning a demonstration that would block-off bridges that span between the U.S. and Mexico.

On September 20th, militia members are reportedly threatening to stage a protest against illegal immigration by blocking-off pathways between the two nations that span across the Rio Grande River.

KRGV in Texas reports:

Officials say they received word that members of a militia are threatening to block ports of entry.

In Starr County, international bridge authorities met with Customs and Border Protection officials Thursday. Their goal was to discuss the potential problem and find a plan of action.

TEXAS POLICE PREPARE TO DEFEND INTERNATIONAL BRIDGES FROM MILITIA GROUPS

By Bob Price.

Authorities prepare to use “whatever force is necessary” to defend international bridges between Texas and Mexico from U.S. based militia groups. The preparations by Texas law enforcement agencies are in response to recently discovered plans by militia groups to attempt closing several international bridges. The militia groups’ plans are intended to be protests against the federal government’s failure to secure the border between the U.S. and Mexico. The plans call for militia groups to begin blocking traffic on an undisclosed number of international bridges in the Rio Grande Valley on Sept. 20th, 2014.

“We will not allow these groups to disrupt the economic commerce of our region and we are prepared to use force to keep the bridges open,” said one law enforcement officer who spoke with Breitbart Texas on the condition of anonymity. The officer explained that the bridges are not symbols of illegal immigration, but rather, they are vital parts of the local economy. “We cannot allow them to be shut down by lawless behavior from people who claim to be promoting the rule of law.”
