Boris Johnson: ‘I Don’t Think That Biological Males Should Be Competing in Female Sporting Events’ (VIDEO)

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Wednesday that he does not think biological males should compete in women’s sports. His remarks come after a biological male cyclist in Derbyshire, England tried to compete in a women’s race over the weekend and was prohibited from doing so, which Townhall covered.

“I don’t think that biological males should be competing in female sporting events. And maybe that’s a controversial thing … but it just seems to me to be sensible,” Johnson said during a visit to a hospital on Wednesday.

“And I also happen to think that women should have spaces, whether it’s in hospitals or prisons or changing rooms or wherever, which are dedicated to women. That’s as far as my thinking has developed on this issue. If that puts me in conflict with some others, then we have got to work it all out,” Johnson added.

Boris Johnson: ‘Basic Facts Of Biology’ Are ‘Overwhelmingly Important’ In Transgender Issue

United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson weighed in on the debate about transgenderism in his country, saying that “the basic facts of biology remain overwhelmingly important” in conversations about the issue.

At the Prime Minister’s Questions, a weekly meeting in the British Parliament where the House of Commons asks questions of the Prime Minister, Johnson was asked by House of Commons member Angela Richardson about a review of Britain’s National Health Service funding for transgender youth. . .

Johnson told Richardson that he would be happy to meet with her. “And I think that this is one of those issues that the whole House is coming to realize, one that requires extreme sensitivity, tact, love, and care,” he added. “We must recognize that when people want to make a transition in their lives, that they should be treated with the maximum possible generosity and respect. And we have systems in this country that allow that, and have done for a long time, we should be very proud of it. But I do want to say in addition that I think when it comes to distinguishing between a man and a woman, that the basic facts of biology remain overwhelmingly important.” (Read more from “Boris Johnson: ‘Basic Facts Of Biology’ Are ‘Overwhelmingly Important’ In Transgender Issue” HERE)

‘Trust the People’: Country Lifts Vaccine Passports, Mask Mandates

After the models upon which he based his policies proved to be “wildly incorrect,” British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced Wednesday the lifting of COVID-19 vaccine passports, mask mandates and work-from-home guidance in England.

Regarding masks, the prime minister said the basic policy will be to “trust the judgment of the British people and no longer criminalize anyone who chooses not to wear one.”

“From tomorrow we will no longer require face masks in classrooms, and the Department for Education will shortly remove national guidance on their use in communal areas,” Johnson told the House of Commons.

Sajid Javid told a Downing Street press conference that “we cannot eradicate this virus and its future variants.”

“Instead we must learn to live with Covid in the same way we have to live with flu,” he said. (Read more from “‘Trust the People’: Country Lifts Vaccine Passports, Mask Mandates” HERE)

Christmas Message: UK PM Says Getting COVID Vax ‘Is the Teaching of Jesus Christ’

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has suggested that “Getting jabbed… not just for ourselves” but for others as well is “the teaching of Jesus Christ” in a Covid-heavy Christmas message.

“After two years of this pandemic, I can’t say that we’re through it,” Prime Minister Johnson began, somewhat less than optimistically given the circumstances. . .

“I hope I can be forgiven for taking pride in the immense spirit of neighbourliness that the people of this country have shown,” the Prime Minister continued, waxing lyrical on people “Getting jabbed not just for themselves, for ourselves, but for friends and family and everyone we meet” and how “that, after all, is the teaching of Jesus Christ, whose birth is at the heart of this enormous festival, that we should love our neighbours as we love ourselves.”

“And so let’s think of all those who are being good neighbours and thinking of others,” he went on, somewhat labouring the point but stopping short of directly attacking the unvaccinated as bad neighbours — or bad Christians. The White House Is Blaming Boris Johnson for Biden’s Snub of American Press in Oval Office (VIDEO)

The White House on Wednesday blamed United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson after President Joe Biden snubbed American reporters in the Oval Office on Tuesday evening.

Johnson called on two reporters from his press corps for questions, but Biden did not do the same for American reporters.

CBS White House correspondent Ed O’Keefe raised the incident with White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki during the daily briefing Wednesday.

Psaki made the excuse that Johnson did not inform Biden or his staff “in advance” that he would take questions.

“I think our relationship with the United Kingdom and with prime minister Johnson is so strong and abiding, we’ll be able to move beyond this,” she added. “But he called on individuals in his press corps without alerting us to that intention in advance.” (Read more from “The White House Is Blaming Boris Johnson for Biden’s Snub of American Press in Oval Office (VIDEO)” HERE)

WATCH: Sleepy Joe’s Gaffe at G-7 Summit Sparks Laughter From World Leaders; Biden Accused of Violating Royal Protocol During Visit With the Queen

By New York Post. President Biden embarrassed himself at the G-7 summit when he tried to correct British Prime Minister Boris Johnson for not introducing “the president of South Africa” — even though Johnson already did so by name.

The blooper — one of several Biden made amid the series of meetings with world leaders — prompted laughter at his expense at the start of a roundtable discussion in Cornwall, England. . .

After mentioning how the visiting dignitaries had brought “some pretty spectacular weather with them,” Johnson introduced Indian President Narendra Modi, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and South Korean President Moon Jae-in.

At that point, Biden — seated between Johnson and French President Emmanuel Macron — interjected.

Biden Accused of Violating Royal Protocol During Visit With the Queen

By New York Post. President Biden is being slammed for violating royal protocol in his meeting with the Queen, after he couldn’t be bothered to take off his sunglasses when he greeted the monarch at Windsor Castle, and then went on to spill details to the press about what they discussed over tea.

Biden, who with first lady Jill Biden met with the Queen on Sunday following the G7 summit in Britain, told the media at Heathrow Airport that the 95-year-old royal was interested in hearing more about Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.

“We had a great talk. She wanted to know what the two leaders that I … the one I’m about to meet with, Mr. Putin, and she wanted to know about Xi Jinping, and we had a long talk, and she was very generous,” Biden said.

But revealing private details of a conversation with the Queen is a royal faux pas. . .

Biden’s other gaffe involved keeping his sunglasses on while first meeting the Queen at Windsor Castle. (Read more from “Biden Accused of Violating Royal Protocol During Visit With the Queen” HERE)

Biden Meets With World Leaders at G-7 Summit, Declares ‘Diplomacy Is Back’

By CBS News. President Biden on Sunday declared that “America is back to the table” after leaving his first Group of Seven summit, where world leaders vowed to confront China, boost global infrastructure and donate 1 billion vaccine doses to the rest of the world.

“I conveyed to each of my G-7 counterparts the U.S. is going to do our part. America is back to the table,” the president said in a press conference at the conclusion of the meeting with U.S. allies. “The lack of participation in the past and full engagement was noticed significantly, not only by the leaders of those countries but by the people in the G-7 countries.”

Mr. Biden called the meeting, his first with the group since assuming the presidency, “extraordinary collaborative and productive,” and said ending the coronavirus pandemic and ensuring an “equitable and inclusive” global economic recovery were the foremost priorities for the U.S. and its allies. Boris Johnson Hails Historic Brexit Deal

In a Christmas Eve address, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced an “immense moment” in British history, with the securing of a Brexit deal many thought was impossible more than four years after Britons voted to leave the European Union.

Beginning New Year’s Day, he said, the United Kingdom will be able to set its own rules after 40 years of being tied to Brussels.

The deal, which must be approved by Parliament in a Dec. 30 vote, achieves “something that the people of this country instinctively knew was doable but which they were told was impossible.”

“We have taken back control of laws and our destiny,” Johnson said. “We have taken back control of every jot and tittle of our regulation.”

Worth nearly $900 billion a year, he said it will protect British jobs by allowing U.K. goods “to be sold without tariffs and without quotas in the EU market, which will if anything allow our companies to do even more business with our European friends.” (Read more from “Boris Johnson Hails Historic Brexit Deal” HERE)
