California to Study ‘Reparations’ for Slavery

The State of California will study reparations to black Americans, thanks to a bill signed into law Wednesday by Gov. Gavin Newsom.

AB 3121 will create a nine-member “Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans, with a Special Consideration for African Americans Who are Descendants of Persons Enslaved in the United States,” according to the text of the bill.

California was admitted to the Union in 1850 as a free state and has no history of legal slavery. . .

Despite California’s free history, the reparations task force is assigned the mission of evaluating the history and impact of slavery on the United States as a whole.

The goal, as with many California policies, is to be a model for liberal policies elsewhere — or, as Newsom said, according to The Hill, to be “a paradigm that we hope will be resonant all across the United States.” (Read more from “California to Study ‘Reparations’ for Slavery” HERE)

School District Pushes ‘Systemic Racism’ Agenda After a Rope Swing Was Mistaken for a Noose

A California school district announced that what “appeared to be a noose” was found hanging from a tree in front of home within the district. Local police concluded it was not a noose, but a rope swing for children. The school district swiftly responded, not by closing the investigation and moving on from the non-incident, but by instead imposing race education and “anti-racism” goals on students and staff.

The principals, assistant principals, and superintendents from both high schools in Piedmont Unified School District in Piedmont, California sent a message to parents, students, and staff in mid-September notifying them that although the intent of local rope swing was “innocuous,” the district would be discussing “systemic racism” and “identity privilege.”

The district’s statement used inflammatory language such as labeling certain identities as “dominant,” and informing families that they must “apologize” for the rope swing non-incident and others of its kind.

“While it is unlikely that most of us will replicate this particular act, it is likely that those of us with identity privilege have caused harm ‘unintentionally’ to those with non-dominant identities,” the district wrote. “Rather than absolving ourselves of responsibility, we must listen, reflect, apologize, and do better when we are told that the impact of our actions does not align with our intentions or perceptions of ourselves.” (Read more from “School District Pushes ‘Systemic Racism’ Agenda After a Rope Swing Was Mistaken for a Noose” HERE)

West Coast Wildfires Cause Massive Destruction, Thousands Evacuated, Cities Burned Down

The death toll from dozens of wildfires burning along the West Coast has grown to least 35, as gusty winds on Monday threatened to fan flames in parts of the region.

The wildfires from California to Washington state have burned nearly 5 million acres, nearly the size of Connecticut and Rhode Island combined. Tens of thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes, with many returning to find only charred rubble. . .

Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said Sunday that two more people have died from wildfires in Northern California, bringing the statewide total to at least 24.

Cal Fire said as of Monday, the North Complex has scorched some 261,488 acres and is only 26% contained. . .

At least 10 people have been killed in the past week throughout Oregon. Officials have said more people are missing from other fires, and the number of fatalities is likely to rise, though they have not said how high the toll could go as they search. Clinically Deranged Adam Schiff Mounts His Dead Russia Horse Again

. . .California’s little impeachment pitbull Adam Schiff is back. Guess what, kids? He’s got another whistleblower!

Fox News:

The House Intelligence Committee received a whistleblower complaint claiming Trump administration officials at the White House and the Department of Homeland Security suppressed intelligence reports related to Russian election interference, Democratic Committee Chairman Adam Schiff said Wednesday.

In a statement, Schiff said former Intelligence and Analysis Acting Under Secretary Brian Murphy filed the whistleblower reprisal complaint on Tuesday with the DHS Office of Inspector General.

“We’ve received a whistleblower complaint alleging DHS suppressed intel reports on Russian election interference, altered intel to match false Trump claims and made false statements to Congress,” Schiff, D-Calif., tweeted Wednesday afternoon. “This puts our national security at risk.”

. . .I honestly didn’t think that Schiff and his fellow Democrats could beat this dead horse any longer, but here we are. Every attempt to make Trump and Russia a thing has been such a spectacular failure that I almost feel sorry for the Dems for being so scared that they have to subject themselves to further humiliation. Smoke From West Coast Wildfires Seen as Far Away as Hawaii and Ohio

Smoke from the ongoing wildfires across the West Coast has traveled across the country and was recently spotted at high altitudes in the skies over Ohio, as well as Hawaii.

On Wednesday, the National Weather Service in Cleveland took to Twitter to show residents how the smoke from the wildfires has traveled across the U.S.

NWS Cleveland was asked by one Twitter user the likelihood that smoke from the West Coast fires reaches Ohio, to which it replied by saying, “It already has and will continue to filter through the skies across the #MidWest, #GreatLakes and #OhioValley region.” . . .

In addition to the smoke moving east to Ohio, it also traveled west and was detected in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Mail-In Voter Fraud Risk? Surveillance Video Captures Rental Truck Dumping Bags of Mail in California Parking Lot

Bags of mail were found discarded in a California parking lot, according to surveillance video.

“It happened early in the morning, 5:40, and it was a Budget rental, big truck, that backed up to the parking lot. And they’re like, slowly, one by one, they’re dropping the packages,” said Lilia Serobian, who saw the mail being dumped near a spa she owns.

Local outlet KTLA reported that piles of mail were discovered in two locations in Glendale last week, which included unopened letters and boxes.

Surveillance video from near Serobian’s spa caught a rental truck dumping the mail, and she described what the perpetrators left as a “huge pile.” KTLA reported that all of the mail was from the United States Postal Service. . .

Democrats have pushed for mail-in ballots to be utilized this election, citing coronavirus fears. President Trump, however, has said that voting by mail is open to corruption and a delay in the final tally. (Read more from “Mail-In Voter Fraud Risk? Majority of Voters Against Child Transgender Treatments

A poll released Friday found a large majority of California likely voters reject the type of gender identity policies that would allow minor children access to transgender medical treatments such as hormone drugs and surgeries.

The poll, conducted by SPRY Strategies and sponsored by the Women’s Liberation Front, found 74 percent of likely California voters oppose policies that allow children who claim to be transgender to receive hormone and surgical treatments that could render them sterile.

The survey also asked for California voters’ responses to two recent pieces of legislation: AB 2218, which would establish a taxpayer-subsidized “equity” fund that could be used for transgender medical interventions and surgeries, many of which are known to cause sterility; and SB 132, which would allow biological male prisoners to demand placement in women’s prisons. . .

According to the poll, however, 63 percent of likely voters disapprove of AB 2218 and the establishment of a taxpayer-subsidized “Transgender Wellness Fund.” (Read more from “Majority of Voters Against Child Transgender Treatments” HERE)

Pelosi Used Shuttered California Hair Salon for Blow-Out, Owner Calls It ‘Slap in the Face’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited a San Francisco hair salon on Monday afternoon for a wash and blow-out, despite local ordinances keeping salons closed amid the coronavirus pandemic, Fox News had learned.

In security footage obtained by Fox News, and timestamped Monday at 3:08 p.m. Pacific Time, the California powerhouse is seen walking through eSalon in San Francisco with wet hair, and without a mask over her mouth or nose. . .

Salons in San Francisco had been closed since March and were only notified they could reopen on Sept. 1 for outdoor hairstyling services only.

Salon owner Erica Kious, in a phone interview with Fox News on Tuesday, shared details of Pelosi’s visit. Kious explained she has independent stylists working for her who rent chairs in her salon. . .

“It was a slap in the face that she went in, you know, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,” Kious told Fox News, adding that she “can’t believe” the speaker didn’t have a mask on. (From the footage, it appears Pelosi had some kind of covering around her neck.) (Read more from “Pelosi Used Shuttered California Hair Salon for Blow-Out, Owner Calls It ‘Slap in the Face'” HERE)

Two of Largest Fires in California’s History Are Currently Burning Thousands of Acres

Two of the top 10 largest wildfires in California’s history are currently raging across the state.

The SCU Lighting Complex burned 229,968 acres as of 5 p.m. PT, making it the seventh largest fire in California history. The LNU Lightning Complex had destroyed 219,067 acres as of 5:49 p.m. PT, making it the 10th largest.

More than 560 fires have torched 771,000 acres so far. Many of them are small, but more than two dozen are major. Nearly 12,000 firefighters are working to keep the wildfires under control. . .

The wildfires took at least six lives and forced tens of thousands from their homes. State fire officials said four civilians have died, as well as a Pacific Gas & Electric worker and a helicopter pilot.

Crews from neighboring states, including Oregon, Idaho and Arizona, arrived to help control the spread, according to Daniel Berlant, assistant deputy director for Cal Fire. (Read more from “Two of Largest Fires in California’s History Are Currently Burning Thousands of Acres” HERE)
