Bernie Sanders Projected to Win California

By Daily Caller. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is projected to win the most delegate-rich state — California, giving the self-described democratic socialist a major boost in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

The Associated Press, the Fox News Decision Desk, and other election forecasters late Tuesday night projected that Sanders will emerge victorious in the California Democratic primary. As the most populous state in the country, California holds a total of 415 pledged delegates — more than any other state in the U.S.

However, it’s not immediacy clear how the state’s delegates will be divided. At the time of publication, Sanders had captured around 27% of the vote, with former New York City Mayor Micheal Bloomberg in second place with 20%, and former Vice President Joe Biden in third with about 17%. . .

The results of Super Tuesday revealed that this race has virtually narrowed between two final candidates: Sanders and Biden. The Vermont lawmaker has faired well in the West, while the former vice president has mostly swept the South and Northeast. (Read more from “Bernie Sanders Projected to Win California” HERE)

Trump Takes Dig at Bloomberg Following Super Tuesday Results

By Fox News. Donald Trump called Mike Bloomberg the “biggest loser” as Super Tuesday results painted a grim picture for the former New York City mayor.

With Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders sharing trading victories through the night, Bloomberg was left in the delegate dust with his only victory the American Samoa caucuses, which awarded him five delegates.

“The biggest loser tonight, by far, is Mini Mike Bloomberg. His “political” consultants took him for a ride. $700 million washed down the drain, and he got nothing for it but the nickname Mini Mike, and the complete destruction of his reputation. Way to go Mike!,” Trump tweeted.

Bloomberg — who is ranked by Forbes as the eighth richest person in the U.S. — has spent more than $500 million on ads since declaring his candidacy in late November.

Bloomberg’s campaign spokeswoman told Fox News earlier Tuesday night the candidate remained optimistic despite Biden and Sanders racking up victories. (Read more from “Trump Takes Dig at Bloomberg Following Super Tuesday Results” HERE)

New Bill in Liberal State Would Require Toy Aisles to Be ‘Gender Neutral’; Don’t Be Stupid, of Course Kids Toys Aren’t Gender Neutral

By The Blaze. As California faces a major homeless crisis, skyrocketing taxes, and serious affordable housing issues, a California state legislator is focused on issues that truly matter: gender-neutral toy aisles. . .

Proposed by Assemblyman Evan Low (D), Assembly Bill 2826 would apply to retail department stores with over 500 employees. If passed, the law would eliminate boys and girls aisles, and require that children’s toys be offered in one, gender-neutral section inside the store.

“A retail department store shall maintain one, undivided area of its sales floor where, if it sells childcare articles, all childcare articles, regardless of whether a particular item has traditionally been marketed for either girls or for boys, shall be displayed,” reads the text of the bill.

Low’s proposed legislation adds: “Keeping similar items that are traditionally marketed either for girls or for boys separated makes it more difficult for the consumer to compare the products and incorrectly implies that their use by one gender is inappropriate.” (Read more from “New Bill in Liberal State Would Require Toy Aisles to Be ‘Gender Neutral'” HERE)

Don’t Be Stupid, of Course Kids Toys Aren’t Gender Neutral

By The Federalist. The latest nutty insanity to arise in the state of California is a proposed state ban on department stores having different sections for boys and girls toys and clothing. Now, this may well have been something you weren’t so aware was a pressing problem, but according to the California state legislature, this measure is needed to ensure consumers can compare products without “unjustified differences.”

What does that mean, exactly? It means exactly nothing. First of all, anyone who has ever been in a department store knows that if they wish to compare girls and boys toys, they are free two walk a distance, usually a few feet, to the next aisle and compare them. There is no border wall to surmount. It’s literally right there.

No, the purpose of this legislation has nothing to do with helping consumers and everything to do with trying to untether our children from natural and healthy predilections that have existed throughout time. Somehow these legislators have convinced themselves that the only reason boys like toy guns and actions figures while girls like tea sets and princesses is because the patriarchy has created these monstrous social constructs.

Almost any parent, who has not decided to engage in willing suspension of disbelief in the face of social justice claims, knows this is nonsense. Anyone who picks their kid up from school knows this. My son attends a diverse school with many immigrants from around the world. Upon being released from school, the vast majority of students display behavior typical to their gender. What a strange coincidence.

Are there exceptions to this? Certainly, and there is nothing wrong with masculine girls or feminine boys, this is a phenomenon with a long history. In fact, the irony is that many of the people who insist that feminine boys and masculine girls are literally of the other gender and require treatment for it, are the same ones now insisting that these gender differences don’t exist and should be removed from the marketplace. California County Plans to Create Special Task Force to Confiscate Guns From Banned Gun Owners

Santa Clara County in California has announced a plan to implement a brand-new task force to confiscate firearms from citizens who are not permitted to have them. . .

On Monday, Santa Clara County officials announced the possible formation of what they call a “County Gun Team.”

The sole purpose of the team is to take away firearms from those people who should not have them.

Officials said that approximately 4,600 people annually are court-ordered to turn in their guns, which necessitates the County Gun Team.

Santa Clara County Supervisor Cindy Chavez requested the county’s board of supervisors to fund the new program, to the tune of $427,000 annually, in order to cover attorney and investigator expenses for the new team. Illegal Alien Acquitted of Murder in Kate Steinle Case Ruled Incompetent to Stand Trial on Fed Firearms Charges

With all the talk of a two-tiered justice system this past week stemming from the corruption in the trial against Roger Stone, there is another two-tiered system in use in cities like San Francisco. Can victims of illegal aliens ever obtain justice if the trial occurs in a sanctuary city? That is the question we should be asking after Jose Garcia-Zarate, the man who shot Kate Steinle on a San Francisco pier in 2015, caught yet another break.

For the parents of Kate Steinle, the hits keep coming. First, in December 2017, a San Francisco jury acquitted Zarate of all murder charges, including manslaughter, related to the July 1, 2015, killing of Kate Steinle. She was killed by a bullet shot from the stolen .40-caliber gun held by Zarate. He is an illegal alien from Mexico who was deported five times and was released from San Francisco jail two and a half months before without notification to ICE. He remained in the country despite seven felony convictions.

Then, when the family sued the city of San Francisco and former Sheriff Ross Mirkarimi for negligence, the Ninth Circuit rebuffed the claim last year.

Last August, a state appeals court threw out the only remaining state charges. In 2015, the same jury that acquitted Zarate of manslaughter also convicted him of felony gun charges. The state appeals court overturned those charges. Zarate admitted to holding the gun that killed Steinle but maintains that the gun fired on its own.

“It is undisputed that defendant was holding the gun when it fired. But that fact alone does not establish he possessed the gun for more than a moment. To possess the gun, defendant had to know he was holding it,” wrote judge Sandra Margulies for the three-judge panel ruling that the trial judge erred in his instructions to the jury.

Finally, the federal government came in and charged Zarate on federal firearms violations. In 2017, he was indicted by a grand jury for being both a felon and illegal alien in possession of a firearm, both of which are federal crimes. The .40-caliber SIG Sauer P239 had originally been stolen from a U.S. Bureau of Land Management agent’s car. But on Friday, U.S. District Court Judge Vince Chhabria, an Obama appointee, ruled that Zarate is not mentally competent to stand trial. Zarate’s future remains unclear.

This man had enough mental acumen to cross our border five times after being deported. He was also competent to stand trial for seven prior felony convictions. What changed now?

The disquieting reality is that after 2015, Zarate was no longer a regular criminal in the eyes of the public. He became one of the most notorious illegal aliens in America. San Francisco politicians, judges, and jurors will do everything they can to ensure he gets off free.

It’s truly shocking how American victims don’t matter in the debate over our own sovereignty. Illegal aliens can sue our state and federal governments for simply enforcing our sovereignty, despite centuries of case law stating they have no standing in our country. Yet whenever Americans harmed by illegal aliens try to get standing to sue against lawlessness that affects their security and the public welfare, they are denied standing. Criminal smugglers can sue our government, yet Kate Steinle’s parents can’t sue San Francisco for harboring the illegal alien who killed their daughter.

However, there doesn’t seem to be a sense of urgency even from Republicans in Congress to pass a law giving victims of sanctuary cities a private cause of action to sue, as Trump called for in his State of the Union address. Instead, top Republicans are promoting a mass amnesty bill. They are also frantically trying to concoct a “DACA” amnesty bill for when the Supreme Court likely sides with Trump on canceling Obama’s clearly illegal executive amnesty program. When will they finally view American citizens like Kate Steinle as highly as they view “dreamers?” (For more from the author of “Illegal Alien Acquitted of Murder in Kate Steinle Case Ruled Incompetent to Stand Trial on Fed Firearms Charges” please click HERE)

California Could Go Through All of February Without a Significant Rain Storm for the First Time Since 1864. a Photo From Space Reveals Why.

February should be the heart of California’s rainy season — but this month, there’s no rain.

The image above, taken by a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) satellite on February 11, offers a visual explanation for the weird weather.

The photo shows a giant high-pressure ridge over the Pacific Ocean that’s keeping storm clouds away from the California coast. The ridge is sending that wind and rain towards the Pacific Northwest instead. . .

Margaret Mooney, education director at CIMSS, told Business Insider that this is “an unusual, persistent weather pattern that’s working against California right now.”

The ridge is the edge of a warmer, high-pressure system that began mid-January. Meteorologists expect it to continue for the rest of the month. If February ends without a significant storm in California (high winds and heavy rain or snowfall), it would be the first time in over 150 years that the month is dry. Triggered Leftists Caught on Video Physically Attacking College Republicans, Destroying Display — and Apparently Getting Away With It

Once again, triggered leftists have physically attacked conservatives on a college campus — and why? Once again, because they dared to set up a display and exercised their First Amendment rights.

Video caught an ultra woke duo at the University of California, Santa Cruz, walking up to a table set up by College Republicans and destroying it last Friday. . .

They yelled several times that the “Trump 2020” banner was a “flag of white supremacy.” They ripped up and ripped down their signs. They spit on and tried to take away their Betsy Ross flag. . .

Dylan Temple, president of the UC Santa Cruz College Republicans, told The College Fix he was doxxed on social media with a false accusation that he attacked individuals at the campus LGBTQ center, which he said was done in retaliation for following the aggressors until police arrived. Decriminalization of Drugs Fueling Meth and Homelessness in California

In one breath, liberals say we need to decriminalize drugs and open up the prisons. In the next breath, they shed crocodile tears over the drug crisis and homelessness. The same people who demand that Congress and state governments spend even more money to “combat” the twin drug and homelessness crises never seem to connect the dots back to their decriminalization policies or admit that they are causing a rise in crime. One journalist in California is not scared to pin the tail on the donkey – in the case of the Golden State, the infamous Prop 47.

Right around 2014-2015 is when the drug crisis exploded nationwide, including in California, roughly around the same time homelessness soared, particularly in the Golden State, along with the rise in theft and other crimes. What else happened around the same time? California passed Prop 47, which downgraded drug and theft crimes. The result was a logical consequence to an illogical policy.

Bill Lamb, VP and general manager of Fox 11 in Los Angeles, delivered a TV commentary last week pinning the blame for the homeless and drug problems squarely on Prop 47. “We’re all asking ourselves, ‘Why has homelessness and drug addiction exploded recently? What has changed?’” said Lamb in the commentary that drew criticism from local politicians. “Well, Prop 47 was sold to voters under the shamefully misleading name ‘Safe Schools and Neighborhoods Act’ in late 2014. While it did make good on its pledge to reduce prison and jail populations by thousands of inmates, it left thousands of people on the streets who were not arrested for felony drug use.”

Quoting Bill Bodner, the special agent in charge of the DEA in Los Angeles, he said, “‘There’s no hammer now. Now they get a ticket, they tear it up, they walk away, and they’re using drugs the same day, again, so it has not worked.’”

This comes on the heels of Fox 11’s report that was circulated widely around the country last week that L.A. has a major meth problem fueled by the CJNG cartel.

The results have been devastating. FOX 11 filmed video on one afternoon across the street from LAPD’s Central Division in downtown Los Angeles, showing multiple addicts shooting up or smoking meth in public. In one video, a man approached another man who was smoking meth, asked him for some, took a hit, and then kept going on his way. A hooded drug dealer also approached the FOX 11 crew, offering to sell crystal meth.

The L.A. paradigm demonstrates once again that this is not an opioid crisis. This is an illicit drug crisis, and in many parts of the country, such as California, the non-opioid meth is a bigger problem than heroin. Meth is a psychostimulant, the opposite of a depressant, which again shows that this is not being fueled by pain medication but by illicit drug trafficking servicing a declining culture and criminal underworld. Meth, which is the last thing on the mind of a stable chronic pain patient, caused more deaths in 19 western states in recent years than heroin. Cocaine, another psychostimulant, is also a fast-growing problem.

The two culprits are the decriminalization of drug trafficking and the sanctuary cities that harbor criminal alien networks and gangs distributing the drugs for Mexican cartels such as CJNG. It’s not surprising that the political elites would rather focus on the rabbit hole of health care and pain management than on illicit drugs, because it would implicate the two biggest culprits that are sacred to the left-wing agenda – open borders and “criminal justice reform.”

As DEA special agent in charge Bill Bodner told Fox 11, “LA’s street gangs then act as intermediaries with the cartel, breaking up the meth and putting it out to street dealers. Those street dealers then prey upon the addicts in Los Angeles.”

As I’ve reported extensively over the past few years, many of these gangs are being fueled and refilled by the endless flow of illegal aliens, particularly unaccompanied alien children being resettled as UAC refugees. This is why, not coincidentally, the drug crisis took off right around 2014, when the UAC crisis from Central America commenced. That California is not only harboring illegal alien gangs but also becoming weaker on domestic law enforcement, particularly drug trafficking, is a recipe for disaster that now includes homelessness.

According to HUD, homelessness increased by 16.4 percent last year in California, accounting for the entire national increase. The total homeless population is now estimated at 151,000. In 2013, California passed the “Trust Act,” which barred local law enforcement from cooperating with ICE, and in 2014, it enacted Prop 47 to downgrade drug crimes. The homeless population in California has more than doubled since then, even though it had been declining steadily for a number of years before that.

Last September, when California Governor Gavin Newsom requested more federal funds to deal with homelessness, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson sent a letter telling him to essentially stop causing the problem in the first place. “Your letter seeks more Federal dollars for California from hardworking American taxpayers but fails to admit that your State and local policies have played a major role in creating the current crisis,” wrote Carson.

Even Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti agrees that Prop 47 is a joke. He said the following in an interview with Fox 11:

If somebody gets arrested, they’re not going to serve any time in jail. If they do serve time in jail, they’re not going to be prosecuted. If they do get prosecuted they’re not going to be sentenced, and if they are sentenced they’re out right away. It’s a broken system. I’ve been unafraid to say that. I know sometimes because I’m a Democrat people think that’s the wrong talking point. I was somebody who didn’t endorse Prop 47, because I had worries it was the cart before the horse. I think we all can agree, somebody shouldn’t be on our dime away for two decades. But if there’s no consequence at all, and if people can’t be diverted into treatment, you see the results on the streets of LA.

The border, sanctuaries, jailbreak “reform” policies, gangs, crime, drugs, and homelessness are all tied together, creating one living nightmare for our communities. Sadly, it’s a man-made problem. (Read more from “Decriminalization of Drugs Fueling Meth and Homelessness in California” HERE)

WATCH: Woman Says She Was Recruited as Teen to Be Powerful Church Leader’s ‘Sex Slave’

A California woman, Sochil Martin, has told the federal agents and California prosecutors that the men who ran her church recruited her as a high school teen in Los Angeles to become a “sex slave” for the leader of the Light of the World Church, which claims to have five million members in the United States, Mexico and 50 other countries around the world.

“Everything that I was taught to do for him, it wasn’t wrong, it was a blessing,” Martin said in an interview on the Law&Crime Network Program Brian Ross Investigates.

She says as she grew older she helped to recruit other underage girls to participate in group sex scenes that the church leader, known as the “Apostle” by his followers, would record on his phones and electronic tablets. . .

She said she left the church after being beaten by Garcia who was angry when she refused to perform a sex act in front of him with a 14-year-old boy. . .

Martin’s account comes as the church leader, Naason Joaquin Garcia, is already in custody, facing trial on sex trafficking charges brought by the California attorney general. He was arrested last June as he arrived on a private jet in Los Angeles and has pleaded not guilty to the charges. California Case of Coronavirus Revealed: Three Now Confirmed in U.S.; “Whistleblower” Nurse Says China Has 90,000 Sick (VIDEO)

By Breitbart. A fresh diagnosis of the deadly coronavirus has been confirmed in Southern California, bringing to three the number of cases in the U.S. as the fast-moving virus continues its spread and the global death toll spiked to 56.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notified Orange County health officials late Saturday a potential case of coronavirus tested positive.

The patient has been described as a traveler from Wuhan, China — the epicenter of the disease’s outbreak — and is in isolation in a hospital in “good condition,” according to the release.

The first two U.S. cases of the virus were a Washington state man in his 30s and later an Illinois woman in her 60s who had both traveled to Wuhan, currently reported to be in stable condition at area hospitals.

The previously unknown virus has caused global concern because of its similarity to the SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) pathogen, which killed hundreds across mainland China and Hong Kong in 2002-2003. “Whistleblower” Nurse Says China Has 90,000 Sick

By NY Post. The coronavirus now has a whistleblower — a nurse in Wuhan who insists in a shocking online video that close to 90,000 people in China have the disease, far more than the 1,975 reported by officials.

“I am in the area where the coronavirus started,” her video begins. Wuhan is the epicenter of the outbreak.

“I’m here to tell the truth,” the anonymous nurse says in the video, which shows her wearing a full-head face mask.

“At this moment, Hubei province, including the Wuhan area, even China, 90,000 people have been infected by a coronavirus.”

California Lawmakers Kill Ban on ‘Intersex’ Surgery for Young Children

Lawmakers in California have killed a bill that would ban most surgeries on “intersex” infants and young children – those born with ambiguous sex characteristics.

The measure would have prohibited surgeries on children, aged six and under, born with sex characteristics that cannot easily be categorized as “male” or “female,” unless the Medical Board of California determined they were medically necessary.

A majority of state lawmakers – three Democrats and one Republican on the state Senate Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee, voted to reject the bill, proposed by Democrat State Sen. Scott Wiener, that would have banned most of the intersex procedures, reported the Associated Press (AP).

Wiener claimed the bill addresses a civil rights issue and seeks to “ensure that people who are born intersex are able to make their own choices about their health and their gender identity instead of having other people make those irreversible surgical choices for them.” . . .

The committee heard the testimony of Dr. Hillary Copp, a pediatric urologist at the University of California, San Francisco, who said she opposed the bill because it would remove “all flexibility for trained medical professionals and their [sic] loved ones to do what is in the best interest of the patient.” (Read more from “California Lawmakers Kill Ban on ‘Intersex’ Surgery for Young Children” HERE)
