New Law Requires Schools to Have Gender Neutral Restroom

A new California law will require all of the state’s public schools to soon have a gender-neutral bathroom.

Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom signed the law on Saturday.

Under the new bathroom law, public schools teaching first through 12th grade must have at least one gender-neutral bathroom available for students by 2026.

California already requires K-12 public schools to allow students to use the bathroom of the opposite sex if it matches their gender identity, due to a 2013 law.

Disgusting: Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Member Arrested for Masturbating in Public

An active member of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a group of predominantly gay men who openly mock Catholics, was arrested in California last month for indecent exposure after witnesses say he masturbated in public for an hour, according to a sheriff’s office report obtained by The Daily Wire.

The man, 53-year-old Clinton Monroe Ellis-Gilmore, was arrested by police at a beachside park after they received a report of a male “exposing himself in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle,” the Humboldt County Sheriff’s department said.

“According to numerous witnesses, Ellis-Gilmore had been at that location for approximately one hour, sitting in his truck with the door open, masturbating,” according to a sheriff’s report on the incident, which took place on August 12 at around 6:41 p.m. “The conduct does not appear to have been directed at anyone in particular.”

The arrest took place at Table Bluff County Park in Loleta, California, with over an hour of daylight still left. Elon Musk’s X Sues State Over Alleged First Amendment Violations

Elon Musk’s X Corp. sued California to block a law requiring social media companies to publish their content moderation policies, alleging it violates the First Amendment and coerces censorship.

X, formerly known as Twitter, asserted that California’s Assembly Bill 587 infringes upon its freedom of speech under the First Amendment and California’s state constitution, according to court documents. The law mandates social media companies release reports on how they moderate issues including hate speech, extremism, disinformation and misinformation.

However, the law would have “both the purpose and likely effect of pressuring companies such as X Corp. to remove, demonetize, or deprioritize constitutionally-protected speech that the State deems undesirable or harmful, and places an unjustified and undue burden on social media companies such as X Corp.,” the complaint states. COVID Cancellations Return: High Schools Cancel Football Games

Two California high schools have canceled their upcoming football games over COVID cases among students in the latest instance of new COVID measures cropping up as the school year starts.

Esparto High School, which is located west of Sacramento, canceled its football game, which was scheduled for Friday, after six players contracted COVID and seven more players were out due to injuries.

“Ensuring the well-being of students is not only a moral obligation but also a legal and ethical responsibility,” the district’s superintendent, Christina Goennier, told FOX40.

Activists Are Teaming Up to Fight Sex Change Surgeries for Minors in This Blue State

California activists from both political parties are teaming up to put measures on the state ballot that would ban child sex change surgeries and ensure fairness in women’s spaces, they told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Protect Kids California, a group formed by Jonathan Zachreson, a Republican, and Erin Friday, a Democrat, filed three statewide ballot initiatives on Monday to ban child sex changes and puberty blockers, keep men out of women’s sports and require school officials to inform parents if a child wants to transition his or her gender. The pair has support from both sides of the political aisle in their effort to push the initiatives through, they told the DCNF.

“The media and the California legislators make it seem that it’s a Democrat versus Republican issue, but it’s not. I would say the majority of Democrats agree with us on this,” Sophia Lorey, a female rights activist who spoke at the announcement of the initiatives, told the DCNF.

The Protect Children From Reproductive Harm Act would ban child sex change surgeries and puberty blockers in the state, according to the ballot initiative. The School Transparency And Partnership Act would require that school officials inform parents if a student decides they want to be referred to as a gender different than his or her biological sex, and the Protect Girls’ Sports And Spaces Act would establish sex-segregated bathrooms and locker rooms while banning males from competing in female sports. Attorney General Wages Legal War to Hide Kids’ Transgender Pursuits From Parents

The California attorney general is launching an all-out assault on parents and families with a new lawsuit asserting state control over schoolchildren.

On Monday, state Attorney General Rob Bonta sued to stop a new policy in a southern California school district that requires schools to notify parents whenever a child identifies as transgender and begins to pursue a so-called gender transition. The new guidelines adopted by the Chino Valley Unified School District in July would have required schools to tell parents if their child sought changes in pronoun use, sports participation, or bathroom assignments contrary to his or her sex.

The state’s Democrat attorney general argues the district’s new disclosure rule violates students’ civil rights and risks “emotional, physical, and psychological harm.”

“Every student has the right to learn and thrive in a school environment that promotes safety, privacy, and inclusivity — regardless of their gender identity,” Bonta said in a statement. “We’re in court challenging Chino Valley Unified’s forced outing policy for wrongfully and unconstitutionally discriminating against and violating the privacy rights of LGBTQ+ students. State Pays Nonprofit Encouraging Kids to Identify as ‘Foxgender,’ Teaching Schools to Hide It

The state of California has awarded a nine-year grant to a group that encourages students to identify as a wide variety of bizarre genders, including “foxgender,” and teaches school districts how to hide it from parents.

The California Department of Public Health has awarded a total of $2.3 million to a nonprofit called Gender Spectrum for activities such as developing “concrete strategies for applying the lens of gender diversity to school practices,” according to an investigation from the watchdog group OpenTheBooks.

The grant is intended for Gender Spectrum to conduct a “rigorous evaluation” of whether its own programs work.

Among those programs is the development of a six-page form for students to submit school districts their pronouns and whether school staff needs to hide their use of those pronouns from their parents.

“It’s not always the case that caregivers are supportive of their child’s gender, their gender journey, in that case, if parents are not supportive or if the child is not out, that’s not necessarily someone who will be part of the gender support team,” said Director of Training Carla Pena at the group’s annual Gender Spectrum Family Conference last year. Here’s Why a Leftist Restaurant Is Refusing to Serve Uniformed Police Officers

A police union in San Francisco, California, lambasted a bakery and restaurant that refused to serve a police officer in uniform.

“NO COPS ALLOWED. That’s the confirmed policy of the bakery chain Reem’s. One of our officers was denied service last weekend because he was in uniform,” said the San Francisco Police Officers Association on social media.

“Reem’s confirms that they will not serve anyone armed and in uniform. Presumably, this includes members of the US Military,” the group added.

Police union president Lt. Tracy McCray told KNTV-TV that an officer was refused service at the restaurant, and the union reached out to clarify the official policy of the business.

Hurricane Hilary Hits Category 4; First Tropical Storm Watch for California in History

Hurricane Hilary reached Category 4 status on Friday morning, and the National Hurricane Center issued its first-ever tropical storm watch for Southern California, as the entire southwestern region braces for heavy rains, high surf, and flash flooding.

The tropical storm watch was extended to all of Los Angeles County, and much of Ventura County, as of 3 p.m. PST Friday.

The storm, off the west coast of Mexico and moving northwards as of midday Friday, has maximum sustained winds of 145 miles per hour. Hurricane watches have been issued for Baja California, and a tropical storm watch for San Diego and Orange counties. . .

Heavy rainfall is also expected, especially in the inland mountains and desert regions, which are normally dry this time of year.

Hunter Biden’s ‘Sugar Brother’ Attorney Could Be on the Hook Next

Entanglements with President Joe Biden’s embattled son Hunter Biden could potentially bring down high-powered California attorney Kevin Morris — who was recently spotted reportedly smoking a bong on the balcony of his Malibu home.

Morris, a longtime Democrat donor who was best known for throwing money around in Hollywood — helping to broker a licensing deal for “South Park,” among other things — has been linked to Hunter Biden since 2019 in what the New York Post called “more of a bromance than an attorney-client relationship.”

According to the Post’s report, Morris earned a reputation as Hunter’s “Sugar Brother” — in addition to allegedly acting as a “fixer” for the president’s son, Morris may have assisted in marketing and selling some of his paintings and reportedly loaned him the money when he needed to pay back $2 million in federal tax debt.
