Family Doctor Arrested for Child Porn, Allegedly Recorded Children With Camera Hidden in Bracelet

A resident doctor who was training in family medicine not only had an alleged huge cache of child porn, but he also allegedly recorded children as young as 6 years old using a camera hidden in a bracelet as he examined them.

Dr. Bradford David Ferrick, 32, of Amherst, Massachusetts, was ordered held without bail on Tuesday. He had been completing his medical residency at Baystate Franklin Family Medicine since last summer.

The first incident that led to the discovery of Ferrick’s alleged depravity came when police in Winchester, where Ferrick’s parents live, reviewed three cyber tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children; those tips suggested a Google account was uploading child pornography. Files had been uploaded to an IP address in the Syracuse, New York, area; Ferrick was attending the University of New York Upstate Medical University there.

More tips reportedly found illicit material uploaded at an IP address connected to Ferrick’s parents’ home. Investigators searching the home found 61 electronic devices, including hidden camera systems and memory cards holding “thousands of images and videos” purportedly showing child pornography, The Boston Globe reported.

The affidavit for Ferrick stated that he had purchased “numerous hidden camera devices.” (Read more from “Family Doctor Arrested for Child Porn, Allegedly Recorded Children With Camera Hidden in Bracelet” HERE)

Ex-ABC News Producer Arrested for Transportation of Child Pornography

Former ABC News investigative journalist James Gordon Meek was arrested Tuesday on criminal charges related to alleged transportation of images of child sex abuse, according to the Department of Justice.

Meek is charged with transportation of child pornography and faces a mandatory minimum of five years in prison and a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison if convicted. Meek allegedly “engaged in sexually explicit conversations where the participants expressed enthusiasm for the sexual abuse of children” and had devices containing such images.

Meek abruptly resigned from the Disney-owned network following an FBI raid of his Arlington, Virginia, home last year. The sudden resignation of Meek, who regularly worked on sensitive stories while working as a national-security investigative producer for ABC News, baffled media insiders who thought the raid could have been tied to his work.

The Justice Department issued a press release Wednesday that finally shed light on the mysterious raid of the journalist’s home. The DOJ announced an investigation into Meek initiated from a lead sent by Dropbox, which was eventually received by the FBI Washington Field Office’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force.

“That lead ultimately led to a court-authorized search of Meek’s residence in April 2022 by members of the task force, where law enforcement seized multiple devices that allegedly contained evidence of the transportation of images of child sexual abuse,” the Justice Department announced. TikTok Has a Child Pornography and Chinese Espionage Problem: Report

TikTok allegedly has child sex abuse material hiding in plain sight all over the social media platform, according to a Forbes investigative report.

According to the report, graphic social media content depicting lewd and pornographic acts from minors is easy to come across on the video-sharing app.

“They typically read like advertisements and come from seemingly innocuous accounts,” Forbes reports. “But often, they’re portals to illegal child sexual abuse material quite literally hidden in plain sight—posted in private accounts using a setting that makes it visible only to the person logged in.”

The grotesque material can be found in “post-in-private” accounts, which predators easily access using specific phrases to avoid algorithms that would lead to a violation.

According to Forbes, Seara Adair, child sexual abuse survivor and children’s safety advocate, told a TikTok employee that she believes users bypass the AI system by posting a few seconds of a black screen. (Read more from “TikTok Has a Child Pornography and Chinese Espionage Problem: Report” HERE)

After Reviewing Netflix Show, Parents Group Demands Child Pornography Investigation

Though Netflix’s animated series, “Big Mouth,” bills itself as TV-MA and is ostensibly intended for adults, it features 12- and 13-year-old characters engaging in sex acts and includes animated nudity and graphic dialogue, according to a parents group demanding Netflix be investigated over the show.

One scene, for example, shows a 13-year-old boy who doesn’t want to be left at camp yelling, “I’ll suck your d**k,” to his departing father. Another shows a group of middle school boys fully nude in a shower, waving their penises. Still another scene shows two boys discussing mutual masturbation, sharing tips on how to masturbate, and fondling themselves in front of one another.

A new report from the Parents Television and Media Council (PTC) argues that, despite being a cartoon, “Big Mouth’s” sexually explicit content is meant to depict minors and therefore qualifies as child pornography. The group is calling on law enforcement to investigate the distributor, Netflix. . .

While much of this material is expressed through dialogue, some scenes do depict sex acts and show nudity. In total, the PTC reports, these ten episodes included 17 instances of animated nudity, primarily depicting the genitals of middle-school boys and girls. Media Company Sued for Profiting From Child Pornography

A lawsuit that seeks class-action status has been filed in federal court in California by a team of law firms intent on putting the brakes on purveyors of child pornography.

Filed on behalf of an unidentified victim, the case seeks to establish rules to identify anyone uploading child porn and to require media companies profiting from such porn to disable suspect videos.

The case, on behalf of “Jane Doe” and “others similarly situated,” names as defendants WebGroup Czech Republic, WGCZ Holding, WGCZ Limited and other related organizations as well as individuals Stephane Michael Pacaud and Deborah Malorie Pacaud.

The lawsuit in federal court in Los Angeles was filed by the National Center of Sexual Exploitation Law Center, which was joined by five other “survivor-focused” litigation teams. . .

Visa, Mastercard Reviewing Relationship With Pornhub Following Column Alleging the Site Is ‘Infested With Rape Videos’

Major credit card companies are reviewing their relationship with Pornhub following the publication of a New York Times column alleging that Pornhub is “infested with rape videos.”

“We are aware of the allegations, and we are actively engaging with the relevant financial institutions to investigate, in addition to engaging directly with the site’s parent company, MindGeek,” Visa told the Associated Press Sunday, noting that Pornhub will be prohibited from accepting any Visa payments if the massive pornography company is found to be violating the law.

Mastercard also promised to take “immediate action” if Pulitzer prize winning opinion columnist Nicholas Kristof‘s allegations are true, telling the AP: “We are investigating the allegations raised in the New York Times and are working with MindGeek’s bank to understand this situation.”

Kristof accused Pornhub of monteizing “child rapes, revenge pornography, spy cam videos of women showering, racist and misogynist content, and footage of women being asphyxiated in plastic bags,” in a Friday New York Times op-ed. . .

“A search for ‘girls under18′ (no space) or ’14yo’ leads in each case to more than 100,000 videos,” Kristof wrote. “Most aren’t of children being assaulted, but too many are.” (Read more from “Visa, Mastercard Reviewing Relationship With Pornhub Following Column Alleging the Site Is ‘Infested With Rape Videos’” HERE)

Mueller Witness Pleads Guilty to Child Porn, Sex Trafficking

A political hobnobber who featured prominently as a key witness in former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation faces at least a decade in prison after pleading guilty to charges of child sex trafficking and possessing child pornography.

Lebanese-American businessman George Nader, 60, entered a plea deal Monday in federal court in Alexandria, Va., admitting to transporting a 14-year-old boy from the Czech Republic to Washington, D.C., in 2000 to engage in sexual activity with him. He also admitted to possessing child pornography depicting infants or toddlers.

Nader is still separately under indictment in Washington along with seven others on charges of conspiring to conceal the source of more than $3.5 million in political donations to Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign. Nader allegedly was reporting to an unnamed Middle Eastern government on that operation, which was intended to curry favor with Clinton, prosecutors in that case said.

In the meantime, the pornography charge itself carries a 10-year mandatory minimum sentence. Prosecutors agreed as part of the plea bargain to recommend a 10-year sentence when Nader is sentenced April 10, although the judge will be free to impose a significantly longer sentence of up to 30 years if she chooses.

Nader’s name appears more than 100 times in Mueller’s report. It details Nader’s efforts to serve as a liaison for a January 2017 meeting between a Russian banker with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin and members of President Trump’s transition team. State Department Employee Pleads Guilty to Producing Child Pornography

An Alexandria man pleaded guilty today to production of child pornography.

According to court documents, over at least a two year period, Skydance MacMahon, 44, conspired with an adult in Canada to produce over a thousand sexually explicit images and videos of minor children in Canada. These images and videos were produced at the direction of MacMahon using Skype and hidden cameras. MacMahon distributed these image and video files to other users and consumers of child pornography by providing access to the files on his cloud storage services and also by directly sending the files to other users. In addition to the child pornography images and videos MacMahon himself created, he also received and possessed thousands of images and videos of child pornography.

During the time he committed these offenses, MacMahon was a Digital Media Administrator at the Foreign Services Institute of the U.S. Department of State in Arlington.

MacMahon pleaded guilty to conspiring to produce child pornography and producing child pornography. He faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years and a maximum penalty of 60 years in prison when sentenced on October 12. Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after taking into account the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims. Former Jailer Pleads Guilty to Making Child Pornography

A former Dallas county jailer pleaded guilty Tuesday to posing as a film director in order to entice young boys into making pornographic films, The Dallas Morning News reported.

Kevin Scott Morris, 44, used a camera as a pretext to molest young boys and create child pornography, the report said, citing court records.

The report said Morris would travel with the victims back in 2009 for film and modeling sessions, and would act like he wanted to advance their careers to build trust.

An investigation into Morris began in 2016 when authorities from Orange County, Calif. contacted the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office in Texas about a boy’s complaint that Morris had touched him “all over” at a hotel and at Morris’ home in 2012, the Dallas Morning News reported. The boy was reportedly 13 at the time.

Morris, who worked at Dallas County jails from May 2013 to October 2016, was eventually indicted in January 2017 on enticement and child pornography charges. (Read more from “Former Jailer Pleads Guilty to Making Child Pornography” HERE)
