Chinese Police Raid Home Church, Arrest Numerous Christians

On March 16, Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel from the local religious affairs bureau and public security department arrested more than 10 Christians from Renai Reformed Church for attending a bible study. Of those arrested, two female Christians had traveled from another city to visit the church. CCP officials released one of these females after interrogation at approximately 5 pm, but did not free several other Christians until later that evening. Police also confiscated one arrested Sister’s money.

Guiyang Renai Reformed Church, a small house church with less than 100 members, has steadfastly refused to join the government-sanctioned Three-Self church. Throughout the years, as Renai Reformed Church has accommodated Christians from all over the country, members also significantly supported China’s Christian ministries.

Elder Zhang Chunlei and several other Christians traveled to the police station to negotiate with officers. While Elder Zhan expressed his determination to remain inside the police station until officials released the last detained Christian, other Christians waited outside.

In 2018, Elder Zhang, a primary leader in Renai Reformed Church, signed to show support for the campaign pastor Wang Yi initiated: “A joint statement by pastors: a declaration for the sake of the Christian faith.” Soon afterwards, on December 9, 2018, the CCP executed a massive arrest against Chengdu Early Rain Covenant Church members. Report: China Broke Two-Minute Speaking Rule at Alaska Meeting

After their highly contentious first meeting in Alaska Thursday, Chinese diplomats and President Joe Biden’s foreign policy team accused each other of violating protocols that were agreed upon in advance.

A senior U.S. official, speaking to reporters on background after the opening session, accused the Chinese of “violating protocol” by speaking for much longer than two minutes as previously agreed, according to the South China Morning Post. The opening exchange of statements wound up lasting for over an hour instead of the brief introduction and photo opportunity that was envisioned.

“We will use the remaining hours to outline for the Chinese delegation in private the same messages we have consistently delivered in public. The Chinese delegation, on the other hand, seems to have arrived intent on grandstanding, focused on public theatrics and dramatics over substance,” the American official said. 64 Countries Defend Communist China’s Genocide Against the Uyghurs

While the U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken carried on the Trump administration’s condemnation of the Chinese Communist Party’s raging human rights violations against the Uyghur religious minority group in Xinjiang as “crimes against humanity and genocide” last week, Cuba and other countries defended China’s actions.

Cuba, joined by 63 other countries including China, called on the U.S. and other nations on Friday to “stop interfering in China’s internal affairs by manipulating Xinjiang-related issues, (and) refrain from making unfounded allegations against China out of political motivations.” The joint statement claimed Xinjiang is “an inseparable part of China.”

Just last year, Cuba, along with 45 other countries, released a similar propaganda-filled statement, which was featured on multiple CCP state-run media sites, condemning countries such as the U.S. for making “unfounded allegations against China and interference out of political motivation and bias. The joint statement also praised China’s “people-centered philosophy in advancing economic and social sustainable development, eradicating poverty, increasing employment, improving people’s living standard and promoting and protecting human rights.” . . .

President Joe Biden previously dismissed China’s actions as a “different norm,” saying that he would not “speak out against” the country or its communist leaders. (Read more from “64 Countries Defend Communist China’s Genocide Against the Uyghurs” HERE)

UK Military Commander: West Must Stop Ceding Strategic Initiative To China, Russia

The UK and the West in general may be forced to capitulate “without a shot being fired” if they continue “ceding the strategic initiative” to rivals such as China and Russia, a senior British military commander has said.

“While we drained our strength in interventions like Iraq, others used the time and space to further their interests more strategically,” General Sir Patrick Sanders, commander of the UK’s Strategic Command, wrote in The Times of London on Saturday.

“China has pursued a strategy of winning without fighting, changing the terms of the international order,” he said.

Both China and Russia are “gaining a decisive advantage in military information-age technologies,” he added.

“The consequence has been a succession of strategic surprises, the erosion of strategic advantage, and the loss of initiative. Unchecked it is not unthinkable that we will find ourselves vulnerable in time to a fait accompli, where we have capitulated without a shot being fired.” (Read more from “UK Military Commander: West Must Stop Ceding Strategic Initiative To China, Russia” HERE)

China and Russia Agree to Build Joint Moon Base

China and Russia signed a long-term agreement on Tuesday to construct a joint moon base.

During a virtual meeting, leading Chinese and Russian space authorities agreed to build the lunar research station, which the two countries claim will be open to other nations, according to SpaceNews. Leaders from both countries said the base will strengthen scientific and diplomatic ties between Beijing and Moscow.

“China and Russia will use their accumulated experience in space science, research and development, and use of space equipment and space technology to jointly develop a road map for the construction of an international lunar scientific research station,” the China National Space Administration said in a statement.

The agreement marks only the latest step in a growing partnership between the two countries, which hope to challenge American leadership in space. China and Russia have cooperated to build advanced weaponry that can target satellites, and have developed technology for a new generation in human spaceflight. U.S. Researcher With Chinese Ties Admits He Convinced Who Team That Missing Wuhan Lab Data Was Irrelevant

The Wuhan Institute of Virology deleted public databases containing information on at least 16,000 virus samples in September 2019, but the World Health Organization did not even request to review the data as part of their investigation into the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic in China in early 2021.

The sole U.S. member of the WHO team, EcoHealth Alliance president Dr. Peter Daszak, revealed during a panel discussion Wednesday that they did not request to see the deleted WIV databases because he personally vouched for the lab, saying the data did not contain relevant information on the pandemic’s origins.

“We did not ask to see the data,” Daszak said during a panel discussion organized by Chatham House. “A lot of this work is work that has been conducted with EcoHealth Alliance. I’m also part of those data and we do basically know what’s in those databases … I got to talk with both sides about the work we’ve done with Wuhan Institute of Virology and explained what’s there.”

“There is no evidence of viruses closer to SARS-CoV-2 than RaTG13 in those databases,” Daszak said, referring to a bat coronavirus studied by the WIV prior to the pandemic that is 96.2% similar to the virus that causes COVID-19. . .

Daszak’s prior work and financial history with the WIV, along with his role in organizing a public relations campaign in early 2020 to paint the theory that COVID-19 could have accidentally leaked from the lab as a “conspiracy,” has been described as a major conflict of interest by U.S.-based epidemiologists and medical groups. Experts Confirm China Has Committed ‘Every Act’ in Definition of Genocide

A report published this week by the independent think tank Newlines Institute for Strategy and Policy, in which dozens of experts participated, concluded China is indisputably guilty of genocide against the Uyghur people of western Xinjiang.

The Chinese Communist Party has for decades persecuted the Uyghur minority of Xinjiang, a Turkic, Muslim-majority group. Persecution led the way to what multiple international observers, including the administrations of both Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden, have labeled genocide under current dictator Xi Jinping. Xi’s regime has implemented a pervasive concentration camp system in Xinjiang, building at least 1,200 concentration camps in the region where as many as 3 million Uyghur people — and other minorities such as Kazakh and Kyrgyz people — have been forced to live.

The few survivors of the concentration camps who have chosen to speak out testify to being subject to brutal torture in the camps, including systematic rape, and communist indoctrination. Evidence indicates Beijing has also enslaved much of the Uyghur population and forced them to travel nationwide for arduous agricultural and industrial labor.

The Newlines report looks specifically at the legal definition of genocide, a crime under international law, and analyzes the mounting evidence of human rights atrocities in Xinjiang through the lens of this crime. Genocide is defined by the 1948 Genocide Convention. To find a state or other entity guilty of genocide, the accused party must be found guilty of at least one of several acts listed in the convention:

(a) Killing members of the group; (b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; (c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; (d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; (e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

The Chinese Communist Party Reveals a New Demand for Biden

The Chinese Communist Party is demanding President Joe Biden roll back former President Donald Trump’s policy of supporting Taiwan, a democratic island China claims as their own. According to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Trump’s support of Taiwan is a “dangerous practice” that the United States must move away from.

The fight between Taiwan and China goes back to the 1940s. Taiwan broke from mainland China in 1949 and established a democratic society. The Chinese Communist Party, however, still attempts to impose rules and regulations on the island.

During a press conference on Sunday, Wang said China’s claim on Taiwan is an “insurmountable red line” that the Chinese government refuses to back away from, the Associated Press reported.

“The Chinese government has no room for compromise,” Wang said. “We urge the new U.S. administration to fully understand the high sensitivity of the Taiwan issue” and “completely change the previous administration’s dangerous practices of ‘crossing the line’ and ‘playing with fire.”

China is continuing to assert its dominance over other territories. Their fight to keep Taiwan under their thumb comes after Hong Kongers demanded their autonomy and civil liberties be respected. (Read more from “The Chinese Communist Party Reveals a New Demand for Biden” HERE)

China Court Ruling: Homosexuality Can Be Deemed ‘Mental Disorder’

After the Chinese Communist government previously decriminalized homosexuality in 1997 and removed it from the country’s official list of things deemed mental disorders in 2001, a major court decision in China this week has “shocked” various rights monitors by once again classifying homosexuality as among “common psychosexual disorders.”

According to South China Morning Post, this latest ruling began with a legal dispute over a higher education textbook, namely the 2013 edition of Mental Health Education for College Students, published by Jinan University Press. A lawsuit filed by a student challenged the book given that it—

…listed homosexuality under “common psychosexual disorders” – along with cross-dressing and fetishism. It stated that homosexuality “was believed to be a disruption of love and sex or perversion of the sex partner”.

On Tuesday the Suqian Intermediate People’s Court in the eastern province of Jiangsu upheld a ruling by a lower court that agreed with the textbook’s classification, allowing the book to remain in multiple university programs. The court dubbed it a legitimate “academic view” as part of the ruling.

It ends a years’ long legal saga the result of which is sure to come under fire from the World Health Organization – not to mention also some of the same progressives in the West who are often heard to defend China and the CCP on a range of issues. China Makes COVID-19 Anal Swabs Mandatory for Foreigners

China has made anal COVID-19 swabs mandatory for all foreign travelers arriving in the country, a report said Wednesday.

The government has claimed that such tests provides a higher degree of accuracy than other screening methods for the virus, the Times UK reported.

As part of the new travel requirement, there will be testing hubs in Beijing and Shanghai airports, the outlet reported.

Li Tongzeng, a respiratory disease medic, said that the anal swabs are better because virus traces stay longer in fecal samples than they do in the nose or throat, state media reported. (Read more from “China Makes COVID-19 Anal Swabs Mandatory for Foreigners” HERE)
