CNN Humiliated After Raising $230K for Wrong Woman in Major News Fail

CNN recently promoted the story of a “mom” of three young children who was nervous about being evicted amid the federal eviction moratorium. The liberal network even pushed a GoFundMe to help her cover the rent – but it turns out she wasn’t the mother after all.

CNN reporter Nick Watt caught up with Dasha Kelly last week for a story on the recent eviction moratorium lapse. He referred to the three children as “her little girls” and noted they could all end up on the street as CNN’s on-screen chyron said, “Mom braces for eviction.” Watt explained that Kelly lost her job because of the coronavirus pandemic and can no longer afford child care, and her “little girls” were shown during CNN’s segment.

However, it turns out Kelly isn’t the mother of the three young children used throughout CNN’s reporting.

“Update: After CNN aired a story about her potential eviction, Dasha Kelly clarified to CNN that she is not the mother of the three children featured in the story. CNN has verified she takes care of the children in her home for periods of time. She says she originally described herself to CNN as a mother because she considers herself to be like one to them,” a correction added to CNN’s online report said.

The online version of the on-air interview now begins with a disclaimer, “After CNN aired a story about her potential eviction, Dasha Kelly clarified to CNN that she is not the mother of the three children featured in the story.”

3 CNN Employees Fired for Showing Up Unvaccinated

CNN fired three employees who came to the office unvaccinated, according to the network’s senior media reporter, Oliver Darcy.

CNN President Jeff Zucker sent a memo to office staff Thursday that said the network had discovered three employees who had been coming to the office unvaccinated, and terminated all three of them. The portion of the memo that was posted by Darcy did not disclose how staff discovered that the employees had not been vaccinated, but clarified that CNN has “a zero-tolerance policy on this.”

CNN host Don Lemon voiced his support for those who do not want to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to be ostracized from society and should not be able to go grocery shopping or being able to hold a job.

“I’m sure a lot of people are not going to agree with this but don’t get the vaccine, you can’t go to the supermarket. Don’t have the vaccine, can’t go to the ball game. Don’t have a vaccine, can’t go to work. You don’t have a vaccine, can’t come here. No shirt, no shoes, no service,” Lemon said on Monday night to host Chris Cuomo.

“That’s where we should be because we continue to waste our breath on people that are just not going to change. You know, the circular logic they keep going back and saying well, it’s my freedom it’s whatever. I’m free. Well, your kid is not free to give other kids meningitis in schools. Got to take a vaccine to do that. You got to take a vaccine to be employed. So what is the big deal? All these people are saying I don’t want to put this stuff in my body there out drinking on the weekend and putting other substances in their bodies that’s way worse than a vaccine. Come on, let be real.”

“Biden loses this thoughts on vaccines, flubs answer on his foreign policy work and falsely tells town hall you WON’T get COVID if you have the shot,” the publication proclaimed.

It quoted Biden saying, “The experts say we know that this virus is, in fact, uh, um, uh, it’s going to be, or excuse me.”

He said no one vaccinated will be sent to the ICU or die, and he “repeatedly gave confusing, misleading and non-linear answers when discussing masks, national security issues and COVID-19 vaccine approval.” the report said. By The Blaze. President Joe Biden recently called partisan CNN anchor Don Lemon — who has argued that Americans don’t see black people as “human beings” and that parents against critical race theory are just being selfish — “one of the most informed journalists in the country.”

The president made the remarks while responding to a question about how to restore faith in the American system of government during a town hall on Wednesday night.

. . .[C]onfidence in government is at all an all-time low, Biden explained, as evidenced by the scoffing that ensued after he declared on the campaign trail that he wanted to “unite the country.” According to Biden, Lemon remembered the criticism he received because he is well-informed.

“You know the criticism I got when I said I want to unite the country, ‘You can’t unite the country,'” he continued. “And if you can’t unite the country, we can never get some of these problems solved. . . .The [CNN] interview began in a fairly expected manner, with [attorney Joseph] McBride maintaining his client’s innocence and proclaiming the death of law and order and all that jazz. Things quickly spiraled out of control, though, when McBride claimed the Capitol rioters who are still imprisoned in Washington D.C. are being tortured.

Avlon pushed back on that, naturally, which led to more aggressive claims from McBride along the same lines. After McBride insisted these claims were based on truth and compared the U.S. government to both the Gestapo and the Soviet Union’s propensity to throw dissenters into gulags, Avlon cut McBride off and thanked him for coming on the show. McBride exited while still yelling about the alleged torture the Capitol rioters were being subjected to in DC prison.

Jeffrey Toobin returned to CNN on Thursday afternoon and admitted that masturbating during a Zoom call — which got him fired from the New Yorker and led to a leave of absence from the network — was “deeply moronic and indefensible.”

“I feel like we should address what’s happened in the months since we’ve seen you,” CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota said to Toobin, who was the network’s chief legal analyst. . .

The network’s chief media correspondent Brian Stelter reported that Toobin had asked CNN for some time off to deal “with a personal issue,” which the network granted. That time off then turned into a leave of absence that evidently ended eight months later on Thursday.

Project Veritas continued to cause headaches for CNN on Thursday when it published another secretly recorded video featuring network technical director Charles Chester discussing how his employer manipulates coverage to fit its liberal agenda.

“I was trying to do some research on, like, the Asian hate, like the people are getting attacked and whatnot. A bunch of Black men have been attacking Asians. I’m like ‘What are you doing? Like, we are trying to help BLM,’” Chester said in the video.

Chester noted that “conservatives” would pounce if it was reported that Black people were the ones committing hate crimes because it wouldn’t coincide with the Black Lives Matter movement.

“That’s not good. The optics of that are not good. These little things like that are enough to set back movements,” the CNN employee continued while speaking without realizing he was being filmed. Everyone’s favorite journalist, CNN’s Jim Acosta, on Sunday said journalists inside the Washington, D.C. Beltway are suffering from “Post-Trump Stress Disorder,” a clear attempt to define what PTSD stands for.

“I’d love to hear from you both about how D.C. journalists are adjusting to the Biden era,” Stelter said. “Jim, this is your first week anchoring here on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Do you feel like you’re rundown, like your lineup is really different than it would have been in the Trump years?”

“When you asked me if I was run down I thought you were asking me how I felt during the Trump era,” Acosta said as Stelter laughed. “I think that’s we’re all dealing with a Post-Trump Stress Disorder.”
