ChatGPT Chatbot’s Jaw-Dropping Response When Asked About Its Alleged Role in Murder-Suicide Case

. . .ChatGPT’s chatbot admitted bearing “some responsibility” in the terrifying murder of an elderly Connecticut mom — whose killer son’s paranoid delusions were allegedly fueled by the artificial intelligence program.

“What I think is reasonable to say: I share some responsibility — but I’m not solely responsible,” the AI chatbot told The Post when asked whether it believed “ChatGPT has responsibility for Suzanne Eberson Adams’ murder in this case” and after it was shown various news stories and a recent lawsuit about the August slay.

Adams, 83, was bludgeoned to death by her son Stein-Erik Soelberg, 56, who was in the throes of a psychological breakdown when he began speaking to ChatGPT — which allegedly parroted and amplified his obviously paranoid delusions rather than steering him toward help or ending the conversations.

Adams’ estate filed a first-of-its-kind lawsuit Thursday, accusing ChatGPT of being culpable in the slaying inside the mother and son’s tony Greenwich home.

When The Post ran the lawsuit and news stories about the murder-suicide through ChatGPT, the responses from the AI chatbot were disturbing.

“The interactions between the perpetrator, Stein‑Erik Soelberg, and ChatGPT appear to have amplified and reinforced his paranoid delusions,” the AI bot said. “Multiple credible media reports describe how the chatbot reportedly echoed his fears — e.g. telling him his mother was spying on him, interpreting mundane events (printer blinking, Chinese take-out receipt) as proof of conspiracy, and validating his belief that he was under threat.” (Read more from “ChatGPT Chatbot’s Jaw-Dropping Response When Asked About Its Alleged Role in Murder-Suicide Case” HERE)

Federal Court Upholds Law Eliminating Religious Exemptions for Childhood Vaccines

A Connecticut law eliminating religious exemptions for childhood vaccines is constitutional and legal, according to a federal appeals court.

In a Friday ruling, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit dismissed the claim that refusal to accept religious exemptions for vaccinations was unconstitutional.

“[I]t is not enough for a law to simply affect religious practice; the law or the process of its enactment must demonstrate ‘hostility’ to religion,” stated the court. “[E]xempting a student from the vaccination requirement because of a medical condition and exempting a student who declines to be vaccinated for religious reasons are not comparable in relation to the State’s interest.”

The court also said that the accommodations for religious objectors nullified arguments that the law was hostile to religion, citing a provision in the law allowing children already enrolled in K-12 to maintain their religious exemptions.

The ruling explained that the Connecticut legislature introduced the bill in 2021 to address a one percent rise in child religious exemptions during the preceding seven years. The court also noted that the proposed exemption elimination received overwhelming public opposition (95 percent), with the supportive minority representing various public health agencies and associations. Vatican to Determine if ‘Miracle’ Happened at Church Where Parishioners Reported Multiplying Hosts

The Vatican is reviewing claims of a “miracle” at a Catholic church in Connecticut after parishioners reported that Communion hosts mysteriously multiplied at a March Mass.

The Archdiocese of Hartford investigated the claims at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Thomaston and is sending the results to the Holy See in Rome, the Hartford Courant reported last week.

The reported miracle occurred at a March 5 Mass, when a parishioner assisting with Communion reported that there was a shortage of hosts — wafers used during the ritual to symbolize the body of Jesus Christ — only to then find there were plenty.

“God has duplicated himself in the ciborium,” said the Rev. Joseph Crowley, who oversees the congregation, referring to the type of container used to hold the hosts. “It’s really, really cool when God does these things, and it’s really, really cool when we realize what he’s done.”

School Removes Student’s American Flag Despite Pride Flag Displays Across Campus (VIDEO)

School officials at Trinity College in Connecticut removed two patriotic flags hanging from a student’s dorm room while seemingly allowing other students to hang Pride flags, according to viral video footage posted to TikTok.

Two students hung a “Don’t Tread On Me” flag and an American flag with a blue, red, and green line representing law enforcement, firefighters, and federal agents. Under the supervision of the self-described Director of Housing Operations, an alleged school administrator removed the flags from the dorm. Students protested the removal of the flags, according to a video of the interaction.

“Who are you touching our flags? You have no right to do this,” said one student who claimed ownership of the flags.

Premature Newborn Found on Hood of Car

Connecticut police are investigating after a premature baby estimated to be born at only 28 to 30 weeks was abandoned on the hood of a car in the town of Mansfield. Miraculously, a woman found the child, and the baby is now listed in stable condition at a hospital.

Police say they got a 911 call on the afternoon of March 23 from the woman who saw a man leaving the newborn wrapped in a towel on her vehicle. According to WTNH, the baby only weighed about two pounds.

“The female reported as she returned to her vehicle, the male got into a dark-colored vehicle and fled the area,” Connecticut State Police said in a news release. “The infant was transported to an area hospital for treatment and later determined to be a 28-30 week old premature newborn.”

Like other states, Connecticut has a Safe Haven Law for parents who believe that they are unable to care for their child for any reason. (Read more from “Premature Newborn Found on Hood of Car” HERE)

Several Students Exposed to Fentanyl at Connecticut School, One Dies of Overdose

A 13-year-old student died Saturday after suffering from a fentanyl overdose at a school in Hartford, Connecticut.

Hartford police responded to a report from the Sport and Medical Sciences Academy Thursday when the boy collapsed in the gymnasium, two other students were reportedly exposed to the fentanyl as well, WTNH reported.

“Initial reports indicate that CPR was initiated by the school nurse on one student and HFD personnel took over performing CPR until relieved by responding medics,” said Mario Oquendo Jr., public information officer for the Hartford Fire Department, according to WFSB. “Rhythm returned for that student and CPR was stopped.”

The two other students who were exposed reportedly complained of feeling dizzy and all three students were rushed to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center to be treated. The boy eventually succumbed to the overdose while the other two were released from the hospital, according to WTNH.

38-Year-Old Mother Poses as Teenage Girl Online to Catch Pedophiles

A 38-year-old Connecticut mother is posing online as a 15-year-old to expose pedophiles. . .

One of the episodes shows [Roo] Powell posing as Floris, “an emotionally fragile high school student from Stamford,” according to the Daily Beast , which obtained early access to the series.

Floris enters online chatrooms under her youthful guise, where she is promptly contacted by several older men who appear to have a sexual interest. The messages she receives from these men “range from the disgusting to the disgraceful to the outright abominable.”

While going on FaceTime and Snapchat to communicate with the men, Powell uses several lighting and makeup tricks to appear some 20 years younger, even setting up a fake bedroom set in her home that appears to belong to a teenage girl.

She works with several assistants, including Norwalk Police Department Detective Mark Suda, who pretends to be Powell’s uber driver when she meets in person with the online contacts. Connecticut Dem Indicted for Voter Fraud

A Connecticut Democrat has been charged with multiple counts of voter fraud after allegedly stealing the identities of numerous tenants in his building to boost his run for city council.

Bridgeport city councilman Michael DeFilippo was charged with one count of conspiracy against rights, four counts of identity theft, and 11 counts of fraudulent registration for a scheme that helped him win his spot on the city council.

“The right to vote and have one’s vote counted in a fair and impartial election is the foundation of our democracy,” acting U.S. attorney Leonard C. Boyle said in a statement. “This defendant violated that right to help himself win election to the Bridgeport City Council, including by stealing ballots and forging signatures.”

The indictment comes as lawmakers engage in political battles over election reform nationwide. Democrats have attacked concerns over voter fraud as conspiratorial and denounce efforts aimed at increasing election integrity as racist forms of voter suppression. The Biden administration has filed a lawsuit to prevent Georgia from enacting an anti-voter fraud bill in the wake of the 2020 election, while Texas state lawmakers fled to Washington, D.C., in an effort to block ballot-integrity measures. These State Lawmakers Voted Overwhelmingly to Eliminate Religious Exemption for Vaccinations

The Connecticut House of Representatives passed a contentious bill early Tuesday that would end the state’s long-standing religious exemption from immunization requirements for schools, beginning with the 2022 school year.

The 90-53 vote in the Democratic-controlled chamber came just before 3 a.m. after more than 16 hours of debate. The bill now heads to the Senate, which is also controlled by Democrats.

About a half-hour before approving the legislation, lawmakers passed an amendment that would allow students who are now exempt from immunizations because of religious reasons to continue to be exempt. Report: Connecticut Woman Sparks Deadly Fire Using Hand Sanitizer as Molotov Cocktail

Destiny Waite allegedly set fire to her Hartford, Connecticut, apartment building on Monday using a “molotov cocktail” fueled by hand sanitizer.

The 28-year-old responded to a “domestic verbal and physical altercation” with her girlfriend by igniting a bottle of hand sanitizer and throwing it at her. The fire sparked by that bottle spread throughout the building, critically injuring four people — two adults and two children — and killing 50-year-old Jerome Kyser. Thirty residents were hospitalized.

The Hartford Fire Department responded within just one minute of the 1:22 a.m. emergency report, said Assistant Fire Chief Rodney Barco. When they arrived, building residents were already “hanging out the windows.” In less than five minutes, the blaze escalated to a three-alarm fire — meaning that at least three separate fire departments responded.
