Out for ‘Blood’: Country Tries to Seize Guardianship of Baby Over Parents’ Vaccine Stance

New Zealand’s government health service has applied to remove guardianship of a 4-month-old baby boy from his parents after they demanded that his life-saving surgery can proceed only with blood that does not contain the COVID-19 vaccine.

Health New Zealand, also known as Te Whatu Ora, made a court application Monday with the Auckland High Court to transfer guardianship under the Care of Children Act so the baby can receive the operation, according to court documents reported by the New Zealand Herald.

The baby’s parents recently explained their position during an interview with Liz Gunn, a broadcaster from New Zealand who has raised concerns about the safety of COVID-19 vaccines.

Explaining how their son has severe pulmonary valve stenosis and needs surgery “almost immediately,” the parents said they are “extremely concerned with the blood [the doctors] are going to use.” . . .

The parents maintained that more than 20 unvaccinated people were willing to donate the blood for their son’s operation, but that had not been approved by the government’s New Zealand Blood Service (NZBS), according to the New Zealand Herald. GOP Governors Join Letter Opposing Military COVID Vaccine Mandate

A group of 21 GOP governors joined a letter on Wednesday to congressional leaders in an effort to stop President Joe Biden from initiating a COVID vaccine mandate for military personnel.

The letter — sent to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Republican minority leaders in the House and Senate — called for immediate action concerning the military’s vaccine requirement.

“The Biden vaccine mandate on our military creates a national security risk that severely impacts our defense capabilities abroad and our state readiness here at home,” the Republican governors wrote.

“We face a two-front problem due to the Biden vaccine mandate: current servicemembers are leaving our ranks, and new recruits are not signing up to join. Implementation of the mandate has placed our nation’s military readiness at risk,” they added.

The letter cited concerns regarding National Guard recruiting efforts that had missed their mark as a major factor for the request. The Army National Guard missed its recruiting target by 10% and announced that 7,500 members left service in an October report cited in the letter. Fauci Changes Tune: ‘Completely Open Mind’ About Lab Leak, Gives School Closure Warning

By Daily Caller. Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared on “Meet The Press” and “Face The Nation,” Sunday, speaking almost exclusively about COVID-19.

During his interview with Chuck Todd on “Meet The Press,” Fauci was asked what can be done to figure out whether the COVID-19 virus was leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. Fauci claimed that the only thing that can be done to discover COVID-19’s origin is to fully investigate the physical lab and engage in open and transparent communication with the researchers in China.

Todd then asked Fauci’s personal beliefs on the lab leak theory, to which he responded that he has “a completely open mind about that, despite people saying that I don’t.” He went on to note that there is a “preponderance” of evidence that the disease evolved naturally.

Fauci Defended Lockdowns During Deposition, Said China Was the Inspiration: Lawyer

By The Epoch Times. A top U.S. health official who publicly backed lockdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic defended his position during a deposition on Nov. 23, according to people who were present for the questioning.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the longtime director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser, also said the inspiration for the lockdowns was communist-run China, one of the people said.

Fauci sat for the seven-hour deposition in Bethesda, Maryland, where the headquarters for the institute’s parent agency are located.

He was forced to answer questions under oath on orders from a federal judge who is set to decide whether the government should be blocked from pressuring Big Tech firms into censoring posts and users.

Military’s Vaccine Mandate Turning Off Potential New Applicants Amid Recruitment Struggles: Former Army Recruiter

Army National Guard soldiers are reportedly leaving at a faster rate than they are enlisting for service. According to officials, over 7,500 have retired or left the Guard this past fiscal year. Maj. Gen. Rich Baldwin, chief of staff of the Army National Guard, told The Associated Press that current challenges to staffing are the worst he’s seen in the two decades.

Regarding the military’s recruiting woes, Corporal Rolando Martin, a national guardsman who has served in the Army for over 17 years, said while that many have focused on active-duty personnel, the National Guard is also suffering. He currently serves with the Florida National Guard, and emphasized that his views do not reflect the views of the Department of Defense (DoD) or the Department of the Army.

“Even though Governor DeSantis is in charge, [the Florida National Guard] is financed by the federal government, so they still have to follow everything the active duty does,” Martin told The Epoch Times. And as a result, he said, he has no doubt that recruiting and retention shortfalls will continue to occur not only within active-duty service, but in the Army Reserves and National Guard as well.

In June, Martin was informed that he would be discharged from the Army for having not taken the COVID-19 vaccine. Like thousands of others to date, his request for religious exemption did not get approved. This Airline Refuses to Hire Unvaxxed, but Hired Violent Felon to Fly Planes

Some JetBlue pilots are outraged after the airline hired a violent felon to fly planes even as it refuses to hire people who haven’t taken the COVID vaccine, citing safety.

Two pilots told The Daily Wire that JetBlue has hired John Perrys, who served nine years in prison for breaking into the home of a judge and attacking his daughter as she left the shower. Perrys was released from prison in 2014 and is on felony probation until 2044, according to the Florida Department of Corrections. . .

In 2005, The Associated Press reported that Perrys, then an Air Force captain, was charged in Louisiana with burglary and assault with a deadly weapon while wearing a mask, and that he faced up to life in prison. Perrys allegedly entered the home of a judge and beat the judge’s daughter, who was his former fiancée, with a metal baton as she left the shower. Police said that when he was arrested, he was wearing a bulletproof vest and his vehicle contained knives, handcuffs, parachute cord, a shovel, and a mask, according to the AP.

JetBlue’s job applications say, “Every decision JetBlue has made throughout the pandemic has been with our safety value front and center. Whether it’s requiring masks, or many of the other health and safety protocols we’ve had to navigate during the pandemic, all of these efforts have been focused on making the workplace and air travel safer for you and our Customers. As part of our commitment to health and safety, COVID-19 vaccines are required for all JetBlue employees. New hire employees must be fully vaccinated prior to the start of training.” . . .

A screenshot of an internal JetBlue web page reviewed by The Daily Wire listed Perrys as a “Pilot Trainee” and a “Crewmember since July 20, 2022.” Another picture showed him beneath a banner that said “Congratulations Class 34-22,” referring to his training. INSANITY: Biden Wastes Billions on COVID Boosters NO ONE Wants

When it comes to wasting money, the Biden administration has few peers. Earlier in the year, Team Biden re-purposed billions of dollars to buy 170 million doses of the new bivalent COVID-19 vaccine. The problem is, few people are getting the shots.

The CDC reports that just 35 million people — roughly 11% of the population and only 15% of the 227 million people who have completed the primary vaccine series and are eligible for the new booster — have taken it in the three months since it was authorized.

But instead of examining why the response is so poor, the administration is resorting to its usual solution — spend more money. White House COVID-19 response coordinator, Dr. Ashish Jha, has just announced a “six-week sprint” to convince Americans to get their updated vaccines.

The White House fact sheet for the new campaign reports that already “Over 70,000 locations are offering the updated COVID-19 vaccines, and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has taken steps this month to expand to even more locations.”

Apparently, that is not enough. The administration says it will pilfer another $475 million from the Provider Relief Fund — meant to preserve the healthcare system by financially supporting providers who experienced lost revenues and increased expenses during the pandemic — to boost bivalent booster uptake. The program will “invest” (this administration never spends) $350 million into community health centers to raise booster awareness and expand vaccination activities. Brain Inflammation and the mRNA Vaccines

Three large insurance databases showed sharp increases in cases of severe brain inflammation after the Covid mRNA shots, according to a new peer-reviewed paper.

People who received the Pfizer jab or booster had a 40 to 70 percent higher chance over the next six weeks of encephalitis or encephalomyelitis. The Moderna jab carried an even higher risk after the second primary dose or a booster.

Encephalitis is inflammation of the brain itself, while encephalomyelitis is inflammation of nerve sheaths in the brain or spinal cord. Both can range from relatively mild conditions to serious or even fatal illnesses. The researchers reported 47 cases following Pfizer’s jab; they did not disclose an exact figure for Moderna’s.

Though the finding was published in the peer-reviewed journal Vaccine, it has received little attention – in part because the authors presented the findings in a way that made them seem less statistically robust than they were. (Read more from “Brain Inflammation and the mRNA Vaccines” HERE)

Man Arrested for Joking About COVID

A Louisiana man is fighting in court for the First Amendment right to express satire after he made a joke about COVID-19, and was arrested by a sheriff’s armed SWAT team that confronted him with guns drawn. . .

He had posted a joke online comparing the COVID-19 pandemic to a zombie apocalypse, and his Facebook friends all got the comedy.

But his post, using some pretty flamboyant language and references to the Brad Pitt zombie movie “World War Z,” also drew the attention of the local sheriff’s office.

His joke was that the sheriff’s officers had been ordered to shoot the “infected.”

The institute explained what followed: “Waylon was taken to jail and booked, but the absurd charge was dropped when a prosecutor reviewed the case. The arrest was plainly an overreaction and trampled Waylon’s free speech rights, but when Waylon brought a civil-rights lawsuit, the deputy responsible for the arrest was granted qualified immunity. To add insult to injury, the court also said that Waylon didn’t have any free speech rights to make a joke in the first place. Now, Waylon is appealing this decision with the help of the Institute for Justice (IJ), which defends First Amendment rights and challenges immunity doctrines nationwide.” (Read more from “Man Arrested for Joking About COVID” HERE)

INSANITY: Biden to Extend COVID-19 Health Emergency

The Biden administration is set to extend the COVID-19 public health emergency through at least next April.

The public health emergency, which was set to expire on Jan. 11, will remain in place through the first quarter of 2022 to allow the government more time to offload responsibility for COVID-19 vaccines, tests, antiviral treatment, and other COVID-19 pharmaceuticals to the private sector — all have been provided free by the government during the health emergency, a Biden administration official told Reuters.

The emergency declaration was initially declared in January 2020 and has been extended in increments of 90 days since.

The Biden administration signaled earlier this year that it would begin figuring out how to transfer key tasks to the private sector, meeting with drugmakers, pharmacies, and other stakeholders in the healthcare industry in late August to discuss how to begin the commercialization process, though the transition has been slow to get off its feet.

Despite the extension, the administration is running on a time crunch to begin the process as federal COVID-19 funding runs low. Dawn O’Connell, the assistant secretary for preparedness and response, said in August that the administration anticipates running out of runs to purchase or distribute vaccines by “as early as January 2023.” (Read more from “Biden to Extend COVID-19 Health Emergency: Report” HERE)

Study: Moderna Shot May Cause Double to Triple as Many Heart Problems as Pfizer

Moderna’s COVID-19 shot may cause two to three times as many heart-related side effects as Pfizer’s, according to a new Canadian study.

The rates of myocarditis and pericarditis in individuals within 21 days of getting their second shot were 35.6 and 22.9 per million doses, respectively, for Moderna compared to 12.6 and 9.4 per million for Pfizer, the research found. The connection between the mRNA vaccines and heart complications was most pronounced in men and younger vaccine recipients. . .

A number of medical bodies and health professionals have raised concerns about the association between mRNA vaccines and heart conditions. Some have pulled back on recommending the mRNA vaccines for young men in particular due to the less favorable risk-reward balance compared to other demographic groups.
