New York City to Limit Restaurants and Bars to Take-Out and Delivery, Movie Theaters to Shut

By CNBC. New York City will limit restaurants, bars, and cafes to serve only take-out and delivery, Mayor Bill de Blasio said. Nightclubs, movie theaters and small theater houses as well as concert venues have been ordered to close. Those measures will go into effect starting March 17 at 9 a.m. local time.

“The virus can spread rapidly through the close interactions New Yorkers have in restaurants, bars and places where we sit close together. We have to break that cycle,” de Blasio said in a statement.

“This is not a decision I make lightly,” he added. “These places are part of the heart and soul of our city. They are part of what it means to be a New Yorker. But our city is facing an unprecedented threat, and we must respond with a wartime mentality.”

The city’s public school system will also begin temporarily shutting down this week to help combat the spread of infection. (Read more from “New York City to Limit Restaurants and Bars to Take-Out and Delivery, Movie Theaters to Shut” HERE)

With U.S. Death Toll at 69, Health Officials Set to Ramp up Testing; CDC Offers New Guidance; Fed Cuts Rate to Zero

By USA Today. The race to get home was in full swing Sunday for Americans abroad while millions of students at home were facing a Monday without school as the coronavirus crisis continued its dangerous spiral around the world.

The U.S. death toll rose to 68 across 12 states on Sunday, with the total number of confirmed cases surging to 3,774. The worldwide death toll topped 6,500.

Anxiety and action were on the rise. Thousands of schools for kindergartners to doctoral candidates will be closed nationwide, and no one knows for sure when they will reopen. Stores and supermarkets were curbing hours or shutting down altogether. Cities and states were recommending or requiring mass closure, even mass self-isolation.

The CDC on Sunday issued further guidance, encouraging social distancing and recommending against gatherings of 50 or more people for the “next eight weeks.”

At a Sunday evening press briefing at the White House with members of the Coronavirus Task Force, health officials said they are planning to ramp up coronavirus testing by tens of thousands of additional people a week, beginning this week. The CDC Said Gatherings of More Than 50 People Should Be Canceled Because of the Coronavirus

By BuzzFeed News. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Sunday said that all gatherings — including weddings, religious services, and concerts — should be canceled as the US battles the coronavirus pandemic.

“Examples of large events and mass gatherings include conferences, festivals, parades, concerts, sporting events, weddings, and other types of assemblies. These events can be planned not only by organizations and communities but also by individuals,” the CDC said.

The cancelations should happen for the next 8 weeks, the CDC said.

Why Is Toilet Paper Vanishing From Supermarkets? (VIDEO); Tom Cotton: Anyone Who Casts ‘Wuhan Virus’ as Xenophobic Is a ‘Politically Correct Fool’; Fox News Host Says U.S. Should Remember ‘the Wuhan Virus That Poisoned the World’ When Trading With China

By Fox Business. You might notice something unusual, not to mention unfortunate, next time you try to stock up on bathroom supplies at your local grocery store.

Not just the bare shelves where hand sanitizer and cleansing wipes were plentiful only a few weeks ago, but the empty aisles where toilet paper usually abounds in quantities from single rolls to packages of more than a dozen. . .

One is reason is that people are going to extremes because of conflicting messages, Steven Taylor, a clinical psychologist and author of “The Psychology of Pandemics,” told CNN. . .

The second reason: They aren’t receiving clear direction from the government. . .

Social media has heightened the tension, as have visits to stores where other shoppers are stockpiling with abandon. (Read more from “Why Is Toilet Paper Vanishing From Supermarkets?” HERE)

Tom Cotton: Anyone Who Casts ‘Wuhan Virus’ as Xenophobic Is a ‘Politically Correct Fool’

By Washington Examiner. Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton defended the use of the phrase “Wuhan Virus” from critics who complain it is xenophobic.

The Republican was prompted to react to media disapproval of labeling the coronavirus in such a way that identifies its widely believed origin in Wuhan, China, by Fox News host Jesse Watters on his Saturday evening show, Watters’ World.

“Anyone who complains that it’s racist or xenophobic to call this virus the Chinese coronavirus or the Wuhan virus is a politically correct fool,” Cotton said.

Moments earlier, Watters showed a tweet from MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, who said: “Just astoundingly gross to call it the Wuhan Virus.”

The senator said these critics should be ignored, particularly talking about the spread of the deadly illness. (Read more from “Tom Cotton: Anyone Who Casts ‘Wuhan Virus’ as Xenophobic Is a ‘Politically Correct Fool'” HERE)

Fox News Host Says U.S. Should Remember ‘the Wuhan Virus That Poisoned the World’ When Trading With China

By Newsweek. On Friday, Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade stated that the U.S. should remember the novel coronavirus as “the Wuhan virus that poisoned the world,” when participating in trade deals with China.

“The next time someone signs up for their Belt and Road program or for Huawei, they should keep on the Wuhan virus that poisoned the world,” Kilmeade said. “That’s what you get when you get Chinese trade and that’s what the American companies should keep in mind when they cut these deals.”

Kilmeade’s comments come as the show was discussing Chinese officials blaming the U.S for the coronavirus with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Their discussion stemmed from a recent tweet by Lijian Zhao, a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry, where he suggested that the U.S. brought the novel coronavirus to Wuhan, and not that it originated in the city. Here’s When Coronavirus Is Most Contagious; Over 70s to Be Told to Self-Isolate for Months Even If Not Ill

By Science News. As sweeping efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic go into effect around the globe, researchers are starting to get hints of just when patients are most contagious.

People infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes the disease, may test positive for the virus both before and after they have symptoms. But a new study of nine people who contracted the virus in Germany suggests that people are mainly contagious before they have symptoms and in the first week of the disease.

Infectious viruses were isolated from about 17 percent of nose and throat swabs and more than 83 percent of phlegm samples during that first week, researchers report March 8 in a study posted at medRxiv.org.

Patients produced thousands to millions of viruses in their noses and throats, about 1,000 times as much virus as produced in SARS patients, Clemens Wendtner, director of infectious disease and tropical medicine at Munich Clinic Schwabing, a teaching hospital, and his colleagues found. That heavy load of viruses may help explain why the new coronavirus is so infectious. . .

After the eighth day of symptoms, the researchers could still detect the virus’s genetic material, RNA, in patients’ swabs or samples, but could no longer find infectious viruses. That’s an indication that antibodies that the body’s immune system makes against SARS-CoV-2 are killing viruses that get out of cells, Wendtner says. Over 70s to Be Told to Self-Isolate for Months Even If Not Ill

By Mirror UK. People in Britain aged over 70 will be instructed soon by the government to stay in strict isolation for four months as part of a planned response to coronavirus, broadcaster ITV’s political editor said.

Robert Peston said the government was likely to enforce a “wartime-style” mobilisation effort in the next five to 20 days.

Other measures being planned include hotels and other building being used as temporary hospitals, privately-run hospitals being converted into emergency medical care centres and commissioning several companies to make respirators that can keep acutely ill victims alive.

New rules would see pubs, bars and restaurants shut their doors temporarily and schools would close for a few weeks but children of key workers will be allowed to continue attending as skeleton staff will be providing childcare.

A senior government source told ITV News, the belief that the government are reluctant to make difficult and costly decisions to battle the virus is untrue. (Read more from “Over 70s to Be Told to Self-Isolate for Months Even If Not Ill” HERE)

Biden Taps Coronavirus ‘Expert’ Who Thinks 75 Is the Perfect Age to Die

For a pandemic that seems particularly fatal for the elderly, Joe Biden has tapped a so-called “expert” to advise him about the Wuhan coronavirus. The only problem with the “expert” is that he believes people should die before they get too old, saying he himself wishes to die at the age of 75. Biden is 77.

The former vice president and Democratic presidential candidate has decided to create a “Public Health Advisory Committee” to inform him about the coronavirus while the candidate campaigns for the White House. Biden is trying to paint a picture of himself as an informed, capable leader who can spearhead this nation’s way out of anything. On Friday, the candidate and his team couldn’t figure out how to run a virtual town hall.

One of the Democratic advisers picked to join Biden’s advisory committee on the Wuhan virus is Obamacare architect and noted bioethicist Ezekiel Emanuel. In keeping with the Democrats’ culture of death, Emanuel wrote a piece for The Atlantic titled, “Why I Hope to Die at 75.”

In Emanuel’s piece, the author talks about how everyone thinks he’s crazy for wishing to die at 75 but believes “75 is a pretty good age to aim to stop.” For those wondering, Emanuel is 62 years old. . .

This is just the kind of thinking Joe Biden wants on his health advisory committee during the coronavirus. The average age of those who have died from the Wuhan virus in the United States is 81 years old, and 25 of the nearly 50 deaths in the United States reported so far have been linked to a single nursing home. Banning the Sale of Firearms and Ammunition Because of Wuhan Virus? A U.S. Mayor Just Signed an Executive Order to Do It

The mayor of Champaign, Illinois has declared a city-wide emergency over the Wuhan virus and is taking on breath-taking powers which include bans on the purchases of firearms and ammunition.

Mayor Attempts to Clarify Wuhan Virus Ammo and Gun Ban

By Townhall. The city is attempting to clarify, by claiming specific details in their own declaration, which you can read below, don’t exist.

The mayor of Champaign, Illinois has declared a town emergency over the Wuhan coronavirus that includes a potential ban on the sale of firearms and ammunition.

According to a local report from WAND 17, Champaign Mayor Deborah Frank Feinen has issued an executive order that would give her office “extraordinary powers.” She has issued the order despite the town and surrounding area not having a single case of the disease. . .

Here is the list of other items from the declaration/executive order, which also includes the ability to ban the sale of “food, water, fuel, clothing, and/or other commodities, materials, goods, services and resources,” in addition to alcohol and gasoline. Additionally, government agents or officials have the ability to seize private property and to cut off the city water supply. The mayor justifies everything “in the interest of public safety and wolf.” (Read more from “Banning the Sale of Firearms and Ammunition Because of Wuhan Virus? Sales of Survival Gear, Guns, Ammo Spike Amid Coronavirus Fears

By Kiro 7. Face masks, disinfectant and paper products are not the only items flying off retailer shelves, sales of survival gear like ready-to-eat meals, guns and ammunition have increased as consumers get ready to deal with the spreading coronavirus.

A California military supply store can’t keep enough military field rations — known as MRE or meals ready to eat — medical kits and food-grade storage bins in stock.

“We’re bringing pallets (of MREs) up all the time now, and even our supplier in Southern California is having trouble keeping them in stock,” Raymond Prather, owner of Victory Stores in Vallejo, California, told KTVU.

Gun stores across the country are also selling more firearms and ammunition.

Widener’s Reloading and Shooting Supply, an online retailer, sold twice as much ammo Feb. 23-25 this year than last year. (Read more from “Sales of Survival Gear, Guns, Ammo Spike Amid Coronavirus Fears” HERE)

DESPICABLE: Nancy Pelosi Tries to Sneak Abortion Funding Into Coronavirus Bill, Acting as Chinese Agent, too

By PJ Media. If you needed more proof that Democrats see the coronavirus outbreak as a political opportunity, look no further than the COVID-19 economic stimulus package. It appears that Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats attempted to sneak in a loophole for the Hyde Amendment, which prevents federal dollars from being used to pay for abortions, into the legislation. . .

“While schools are closing and hospitals are gearing up, Speaker Pelosi is waging unnecessary culture wars. Speaker Pelosi should be fighting the coronavirus pandemic, not politicizing emergency funding by fighting against the bipartisan Hyde Amendment,” Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) told National Review in a statement. “We need to be ramping up our diagnostic testing, not waging culture wars at the behest of Planned Parenthood. Good grief.”

Pelosi tried to include provisions into the package that would mandate $1 billion to reimburse laboratories, which the White House claims would establish a precedent that all health claims for any procedure, including abortion, could be reimbursed with taxpayer dollars, effectively bypassing the restrictions of the Hyde Amendment.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez spun the situation differently when she was interviewed on Fox News Thursday evening. She told Brett Baier that “right now we are hearing that some of the fights and some of the gridlock is because people are trying to put pro-life provisions into this.”

Is Pelosi a Chinese Agent?

By Jeffrey Lord. Fox News reported:

Chinese officials are pushing back on the expression “Wuhan coronavirus” — saying the name used frequently by American conservative leaders and commentators to describe the place COVID-19 originated unfairly stigmatizes the Asian nation and borders on being racist. . .

And like clockwork, here come House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and socialist Reps. Ilhan Omar and Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez.

Pelosi tweeted to House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy, who had used the phrase “Wuhan virus”: “Bigoted statements which spread misinformation and blame Asians and the Asian American community for #coronavirus make us all less safe. @GOPLeader must delete this tweet and apologize immediately.”

Omar said, “Viruses don’t have nationalities. This is racist” . . .

In other words? In other words Pelosi and her leftist comrades are doing exactly what the Chinese Communist Party demands: taking a perfectly logical name for the coronavirus — its place of origin — and making it a racial issue. (Read more from this story HERE)

Google-Funded Think Tank Chief Resigns After Wishing Coronavirus Would Kill Trump

By Daily Caller. The head of a Google-funded think tank is resigning after suggesting to his Twitter followers that he would like to see President Donald Trump die from coronavirus, Politico reported Friday.

TechFreedom president Berin Szóka is going on an indefinite sabbatical to write a book on tech policy, the libertarian-leaning group told Politico. Szóka got into some hot water Monday after saying on Twitter that it would be “poetic justice” for Trump to die from the deadly virus.

“Serious question: could there possibly any greater poetic justice in the universe than for Trump to die of the #CPACvirus,” Szóka tweeted in reference to Trump’s presence at the Conservative Political Action Conference.

One person who attended CPAC tested positive for the virus.

Szóka apologized several days after sharing the tweet. “Earlier this week, I sent a thoughtless tweet making an inappropriate comment about the President that I deeply regret,” he tweeted Thursday. “I was wrong to tweet it and deleted it. Again, I apologize.” (Read more from “Google-Funded Think Tank Chief Resigns After Wishing Coronavirus Would Kill Trump” HERE)

No Need to Test Trump for Coronavirus, White House Doctor Says

By NPR. A day after his communications secretary went into quarantine after testing positive for coronavirus, Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Friday moved swiftly to shoot down local news reports that he too had tested positive. That was good news for President Trump.

“Negative for COVID-19, the Honorable President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro,” the Brazilian president wrote on his official Twitter account. “DON’T BELIEVE IN THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA.”

Bolsonaro’s coronavirus test results were being watched closely in Washington, six days after the Brazilian leader dined at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort with Trump, Vice President Pence, Trump’s daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner, and former New York City mayor Rudolph Giuliani. . .

But Friday night, Dr. Sean Conley, physician to the president, issued a statement saying Trump is at low risk for COVID-19 because his contact with the one of the infected individuals was “extremely limited (photograph, handshakes),” and “all interactions [with the other person] occurred before any symptom onset.”

Trump himself has no symptoms and need not self-quarantine or even be tested, Conley said, but the doctor will monitor him. (Read more from “No Need to Test Trump for Coronavirus, White House Doctor Says” HERE)

Wuhan Doctors Say Colleagues Died in Vain Amid Official Cover-Up; Chinese Official Attempts to Blame U.S. Military for Coronavirus (VIDEO)

By The Straits Time. The hospital where coronavirus whistle-blower Li Wenliang worked and died has been hit harder than any other by Covid-19 due in part to throttling of information by officials, a Caixin investigation has found.

The Central Hospital of Wuhan, where Dr Li died, has seen over 230 of its 4,000 medical staff diagnosed with Covid-19, the highest rate of infection at any hospital in Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak, according to data Caixin has obtained.

On Monday, ophthalmologist Zhu Heping was the fourth doctor at the hospital to succumb to the disease, following the deaths of doctors Li Wenliang, Jiang Xueqing and Mei Zhongming on Feb 7, March 1 and March 3, respectively. . .

A Central Hospital department head blamed authorities for endangering lives by spreading false information.

“The false information released by the relevant departments – claiming the disease was controllable and would not spread from human-to-human – left hundreds of doctors and nurses in the dark, doing all they could to treat patients without knowing about the epidemic,” the department head told Caixin. Chinese Official Attempts to Blame U.S. Military for Coronavirus

By NBC News. Chinese officials have sidestepped questions about whether Beijing blames Washington for the coronavirus outbreak after a foreign ministry spokesman suggested it could have been planted by the U.S. Army.

“When did patient zero begin in U.S.? How many people are infected? What are the names of the hospitals? It might be U.S. army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan,” Zhao Lijian tweeted in both Chinese and English on Thursday. “Be transparent! Make public your data! U.S. owe us an explanation!”

His post was accompanied by a video of Dr. Robert Redfield, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, saying that some Americans who had seemingly died from influenza later tested positive for the new coronavirus.

Zhao, who was based at the Chinese Embassy in Pakistan before moving to the foreign ministry in February, is a prolific social media user; a hashtag referring to his posts was trending on the Chinese social media platform Weibo on Friday with more than 89,000 mentions. He is known for being outspoken and for his sometimes outrageous comments.

Trump’s Coronavirus Travel Bans Successfully Keep Hundreds out of U.S.

By Breitbart. President Trump’s travel bans on China and Iran have been critically effective in ensuring that Chinese nationals, Iranian nationals, and recent foreign travelers to each of the two countries are not allowed into the interior of the United States in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

On January 31, Trump announced a travel ban on Chinese nationals and foreign travelers who had visited China within the last 14 days. About a month later, while China failed to contain the coronavirus, Trump expanded the travel ban to include Iran, where more than 500 have died from the Wuhan, China virus.

The travel bans were issued after consultations with the nation’s leading medical experts who have said barring international travel from highly-affected regions is critical to containment in the U.S.

Newly released federal data obtained by Breitbart News reveals that between February 2 and March 12, about 237 Chinese nationals, Iranian nationals, and foreign travelers have successfully been kept from entering the U.S. through land ports of entry thanks to the travel bans.

The data does not include the number of Europeans and recent foreign travelers who will have been kept from entering the U.S. because that travel ban goes into effect on Friday, March 13. (Read more from “Trump’s Coronavirus Travel Bans Successfully Keep Hundreds out of U.S.” HERE)

Federal Ministers Announce International Travel Restrictions to Prevent Coronavirus Spread

By National Post. As the number of coronavirus patients around the world continues to climb, the federal government is clamping down with new travel restrictions and encouraging Canadians to cancel all non-essential international travel.

“My advice is to postpone or cancel all non-essential travel outside of Canada. This means reconsidering your vacations, going to sporting and entertainment events, large international conferences,” Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer, Dr Theresa Tam, said during a press conference Friday.

This is the first time that the country’s top doctor explicitly advised Canadians to cancel any form of international travel, suggesting trips within Canada instead.

“This is especially important for older adults and people with underlying medical conditions who are at a higher risk of developing severe disease”, she added. (Read more from “Federal Ministers Announce International Travel Restrictions to Prevent Coronavirus Spread” HERE)

How Coronavirus Is About to Get Much Worse in the U.S.; Supply Chain Expert Tells Tucker What Coming Shortages Americans Should Know About; Up to 150 Million Americans Could Get Infected; ‘Don’t Panic’ Says U.S. Woman Who Recovered From Coronavirus

By Townhall. I’ll begin with a word on last night’s address by the president. In some respects, it was strong; it emphasized the seriousness of the crisis, repeated crucially important recommendations for best hygiene practices, and reassured anxious Americans that the federal government will act to mitigate the (negative, likely temporary) economic impact. But it also failed in several key respects. . .

The president conveyed three pieces of wrong information, either through shoddy drafting or misspeaking, that needed to be “clarified” by administration officials almost immediately. The actual policies were better and more accurate than the speech designed to relay those policies to the public. This cannot happen. Period. This makes the administration look incompetent, it looks the president look clueless and weak, and it makes it seem as though the high-stakes address was thrown together without proper vetting, which may erode public confidence in future pronouncements made by this president on highly sensitive matters. Noting these things is not an “attack” on Trump. If you’re a supporter of his, you should be angry at those who did not serve him well — a buck that ultimately stops with him.

The Wuhan Coronavirus must transcend politics because so many lives are on the line (again, see below). But even for those who cannot shake their obsession with politics, a blown response to the disease will harm the president’s re-election chances for three reasons: (1) The otherwise excellent economy will needlessly suffer for longer, (2) questions about his capacity to do the job in times of crisis will bite, and (3) the voters who sit most squarely within the health ‘danger zone,’ senior citizens, tend to be Trump supporters. Every incentive, whether humanitarian or calculatingly political, is to get this right. Spreading three strands of incorrect information in an Oval Office address is leadership malpractice and political malpractice.

Now, why did the White House’s top medical expert on the Coronavirus epidemic warn yesterday that the situation will deteriorate in the coming days and weeks? Because based on the data from other countries who are ‘ahead’ of us in the disease cycle, there are many thousands of currently-undiagnosed cases here in the United States. This is leading to the virus being transmitted by people who don’t yet feel sick, so the “official” case numbers (hampered by still wholly insufficient but finally improving testing capacities and efficiencies) are a hugely lagging indicator. The numbers are going to grow much larger. Stop reading this post, and click through to read this full analysis — especially if you consider yourself a Coronavirus “skeptic:”

. . .The entire piece is filled with detailed and sobering charts that build the case. Some experts are projecting that one-third to half of the country could eventually get infected within the current status quo — so even with “only” a one percent fatality rate (ten times worse than an average flu), that could lead to a death toll in the neighborhood of one million-plus Americans. Containment is gone. Mitigation is the key, particularly to prevent the US healthcare system from becoming overwhelmed, which is a major risk:

Supply Chain Expert Tells Tucker What Coming Shortages Americans Should Know About, and It’s Not Toilet Paper

By Daily Caller. A supply chain management expert appeared on Thursday night’s edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to explain why toilet paper shortages aren’t exactly what Americans should be looking for long-term in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic.

Daniel Stanton, the author of “Supply Chain Management for Dummies,” broke down the basics about supply chains and how they can be disrupted by events like coronavirus before explaining that “demand shocks” are what many Americans are currently experiencing with shortages of items like toilet paper, masks and hand sanitizer.

“People buying a lot more of some things than what they would normally consume and buying less of some other things, and what that does is creates what we call a bullwhip effect that gets amplified upstream in the supply chain and causes all kinds of chaos,” Stanton explained.

Stanton described these shortages as a “temporary problem” caused by “panic buying,” a situation that will be more than rectified when supplies are replenished. Other items, however, will need to be manufactured on a greater scale.

“There are other things that we are actually using more of. I think disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizers, the hospital masks. We need more of those than what we would normally consume,” he said. “For those things, we need to be increasing capacity, maybe creating some new supply chains, and in a lot of cases, we are dependent on foreign manufacturing and long-distance transportation to get those supplies.” (Read more from “Supply Chain Expert Tells Tucker What Coming Shortages Americans Should Know About, and It’s Not Toilet Paper” HERE)

Up to 150 Million Americans Could Get Coronavirus: U.S. Projection

By Yahoo. Between 70 to 150 million people in the United States could eventually be infected with the novel coronavirus, according to a projection shared with Congress, a lawmaker said Thursday.

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib made the remarks during a hearing of the House of Representatives with members of the president’s coronavirus task force, confirming earlier reports by US media outlets including Axios and NBC News.

“Congress’s attending physician told the Senate that he expects between 70 to 150 million people to eventually contract the coronavirus in the United States,” Tlaib said.

Axios had reported that doctor Brian Monahan conveyed the projection to Senate senior staff on Tuesday, telling them they should prepare for the worst and offering advice on how to remain healthy. (Read more from “Up to 150 Million Americans Could Get Coronavirus: U.S. Projection” HERE)

‘Don’t Panic’ Says U.S. Woman Who Recovered From Coronavirus

By Yahoo. An American woman who has recovered from the novel coronavirus has a simple message for people who are worried: Don’t panic — but do think about high-risk individuals and stay home if you feel ill. . .

Schneider first began experiencing flu-like symptoms on February 25, three days after going to a party that was later identified as the place where at least five other people also got infected. . .

Knowing that she would also likely be turned down for the test, she decided to enroll in a research program called the Seattle Flu Study, hoping it might provide an answer. The team behind the study sent her a nasal swab kit, which she mailed back and waited several more days. . .

By this time, her symptoms had already subsided, and she was told by local health authorities to remain at home for at least seven days after the onset of symptoms or 72 hours after they subsided. . .

“The message is don’t panic,” said Schneider. “If you think that you have it, you probably do; you should probably get tested.” (Read more from “‘Don’t Panic’ Says U.S. Woman Who Recovered From Coronavirus” HERE)
