Popular podcast host Joe Rogan said on Wednesday that he had contracted the coronavirus and was treating it with various medications, including ivermectin.

Rogan made the announcement on a video on his Instagram account.

“Hello friends, so I got back from the road Saturday night, feeling very weary, I had a headache and I just felt run down. And just to be cautious, I separated from my family, slept in a different part of the house, and throughout the night I got fevers and swears, and I knew what was going on,” he explained. . .

“So we immediately threw the kitchen sink at it, all kinds of meds, monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, Z-Pak, prednisone, everything,” he continued.

“And I did that three days in a row, and so here we are Wednesday, and I feel great!” Rogan said. “I really only had one bad day, Sunday sucked. Florida Withholds Funds From Districts With Mask Mandates

Florida’s Department of Education announced that it was withholding funds from two school districts over their mask mandates.

Florida Education Commissioner Richard Corcoran announced Monday that the department has withheld funds in the amount of monthly school board member salaries from Alachua and Broward county districts for implementing mask mandates that parents do not have the option to opt out of, violating a state order.

The withholding of funds will continue monthly “until each school board complies with state law and rules,” the statement said.

The announcement comes as the state battles with school districts over imposing mask mandates, in defiance of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R). As of last week, 10 districts accounting for more than half of the state’s enrollment have imposed mask mandates.

Earlier this month, Florida’s board of education voted to investigate Broward and Alachua and several weeks ago requested a list of annual salaries of all school board members in both counties. The Florida Department of Education said it would be withholding 1/12th of the amount each month from the district’s funds. Study Finds Mask Mandates Have No Substantial Effect on Slowing COVID-19 Spread

With students finally headed back to school for the fall, debate is raging nationwide over whether K-12 children should be required to wear face masks to reduce the spread of COVID-19. But a peer-reviewed study suggests that mask use and requirements during the pandemic had no substantial impact on reducing the spread of the virus.

Researchers from the University of Louisville examined COVID-19 case growth and mask use in the United States, comparing states with mask mandates to states without, and found that “mask mandates and use likely did not affect COVID-19 case growth.”

“For our study, we wanted to determine if effects of mask mandates and use were observable in the general population,” Dr. Damian Guerra, an assistant professor of biology at the University of Louisville, said. “Essentially, did the theory of mask effectiveness hold up on a population-wide level?”

Guerra observed that given the widespread adoption of mask requirements as a COVID-19 mitigation strategy, there was a need to evaluate the effectiveness of that policy. He told TheBlaze in an email that previous studies on mask-wearing using case studies, mannequin experiments, or theoretical models had produced conflicting results, but his study used states without mask mandates as a control group to better gauge the effectiveness of the policy. It took me well over 12 seconds to find the website of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, where weekly Covid updates from each country are tabulated. That level of effort finding the numbers apparently is too difficult for Pro Journalists at the HDNY Times*, CCNN, NBS, Politishmo, Yapoo and the rest.

You’d think these numbers would be newsworthy. They’re not, at least not to our current gaggle of CCP-funded objective and honest news reporters.

And beyond the censorship, why are dipsh**s excellent journalists like Aria Bendix — if that is its real name (no idea about the preferred pronouns, so playing it safe) — offering clickbait like this (“A year and a half after Sweden decided not to lock down, its COVID-19 death rate is up to 10 times higher than its neighbors”)?

I think we can all guess why.

Sweden didn’t lock down. It didn’t issue unconscionable mask mandates. It didn’t follow the CCP gameplan. It protected the most vulnerable and its economy.

But for bureaucrats, power is addictive. Power is a drug. And these people are addicts. Because these are the real numbers out of Sweden.

Anything that undermines their control, from Covid restriction resistance to the Constitution, is anathema. I refer, of course, to the entanglement of big media and indestructible federal bureaucracies driven by common interests and ideologies.

You may know this entity as the modern Democrat party.

This hellish union has resulted in a series of clumsy attempts at increasingly oppressive and centralized control of information (e.g., the Hunter Biden laptop story and relentless suppression of Constitutional voices).

We — all of us — need to continue to push back in every lawful way against these illegal and un-American dictates.

Study: Getting Very Ill With COVID-19 Is Like Rattlesnake Bite

. . .Getting very ill with COVID-19 is like getting bitten by a poisonous rattlesnake, according to a new medical study.

Researchers including from Stony Brook University on Long Island have identified an enzyme in the coronavirus that ravages the body like the neurotoxins from rattlesnake venom, according to the analysis published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation.

Targeting the enzyme, which causes severe inflammation, could better treat and save the lives of COVID-19 patients amid the virus’ resurgence with the Delta variant, said the study’s scientists from the SUNY school, the University of Arizona and Wake Forest University.

The coronavirus enzyme, sPLA2-II, has similarities to an active enzyme in rattlesnake venom that is typically found in low concentrations in healthy individuals and has long been known to play a critical role in humans’ defense against bacterial infections, the study says. Samples From Early Wuhan COVID Patients Had Genetically Modified Henipah, One of Two Types of Viruses Sent From Canadian Lab

Samples from early Wuhan COVID-19 patients show the presence of genetically modified Henipah virus, an American scientist has found.

Henipah was one of the two types of viruses sent to China by Chinese-born scientists from a Canadian laboratory at the centre of a controversy over the firing of the scientists and collaboration with Chinese military researchers. It is not clear whether the virus found in the Chinese samples is related to the virus samples sent by the Canadian lab, which were shipped in late March 2019.

The finding was confirmed for The Epoch Times by another qualified scientist.

The evidence was first found by Dr. Steven Quay, a Seattle-based physician-scientist and former faculty member at the Stanford University School of Medicine, who looked at early COVID-19 samples uploaded by scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) shortly after China informed the World Health Organization about the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak.

The samples from the patients, who reportedly were found to have an “unknown pneumonia disease” in December 2019, were uploaded to the genetic sequence database, GenBank, on the website of the U.S. National Institute of Health (NIH). Study: Fully Vaccinated Healthcare Workers Carry 251 Times Viral Load, Pose Threat to Unvaccinated Patients, Co-Workers

A groundbreaking preprint paper by the prestigious Oxford University Clinical Research Group, published Aug. 10 in The Lancet, includes alarming findings devastating to the COVID vaccine rollout.

The study found vaccinated individuals carry 251 times the load of COVID-19 viruses in their nostrils compared to the unvaccinated.

While moderating the symptoms of infection, the jab allows vaccinated individuals to carry unusually high viral loads without becoming ill at first, potentially transforming them into presymptomatic superspreaders.

This phenomenon may be the source of the shocking post-vaccination surges in heavily vaccinated populations globally.

The paper’s authors, Chau et al, demonstrated widespread vaccine failure and transmission under tightly controlled circumstances in a hospital lockdown in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam. CUOMO’S BODY COUNT: New York Health Officials Finally Reveal State’s True COVID Death Toll

The tally of New Yorkers killed by the coronavirus pandemic stands at more than 55,000 people, the state Health Department confirmed late Tuesday — far more than the 43,000 long reported by now-departed Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

DOH officials released the revised tallies just hours after Gov. Kathy Hochul was sworn into office, finally bringing the state’s death count into line with figures long published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Johns Hopkins University.

“It’s a good first step by Hochul,” said Bill Hammond, a health care policy expert at the conservative-leaning think tank The Empire Center, which aggressively pressed state officials over their handling of nursing home safety measures during the pandemic.

“The higher COVID death totally is significantly important,” he added. “She’s acknowledging how bad things got. She’s not sugarcoating the problem. Cuomo was trying to keep the numbers as low as he could.”

For months, the Cuomo administration had only released partial tallies of those killed by the coronavirus pandemic — counting just those who died in hospitals, nursing homes and adult care facilities — in its daily public summaries of COVID-19 data. Biden Is Tougher on GOP Governors Who Defy His Mask Guidance Than He Is on the Taliban

Joe Biden is putting the screws to Republican governors who are defying the federal government’s mask guidance for schools.

I guess when it comes to opposing politicians, Biden is a holy warrior. But the Taliban? Not so much.

Biden said at a press conference that he would not “stand by” and allow governors to prevent local districts from “keeping students safe” by imposing mask mandates. . .

“I’m directing the secretary of education to take additional steps to protect our children,” Biden said at the press conference. “This includes using all of his oversight authorities and legal action if appropriate against governors who are trying to block and intimidate local schools officials and educators.” . . .

Teen Suffers Heart Attack Days After Receiving COVID-19 Vaccine; Fully Vaccinated Americans Dying of COVID-19

By Danielle Ong. A 16-year-old boy in Singapore suffered a heart attack just days after receiving a shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.

Singaporean medical investigators said the teenager developed acute severe myocarditis six days after receiving his first dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. He later suffered a heart attack.

“The myocarditis was likely a serious adverse event arising from the COVID-19 vaccine he received, which might have been aggravated by his strenuous lifting of weights and his high consumption of caffeine through energy drinks and supplements,” the Ministry of Health (MOH) said Monday in a press statement, according to Yahoo News.

The teenager is now recovering and is undergoing inpatient rehabilitation before he can resume his activities. Officials at the MOH said the boy is expected to be discharged in the coming weeks.

“The independent clinical panel appointed to assess and adjudicate the VIFAP application found that while he has made good improvement, because his condition was severe and critical, he will require treatment and rehabilitation for some time yet to continue his recovery,” the ministry said. 12 Fully Vaccinated Texans Die Of COVID-19

By Danielle Ong. dozen people in El Paso, Texas, have now died from COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated against the virus, according to authorities.

Health department officials from El Paso on Monday reported that 14 individuals have died of COVID-19 over the past week, including one fully vaccinated individual. All of the residents who died had underlying health conditions, which authorities did not identify.

Most of the fatality victims were men between the ages of 40 to 90. Two of the 14 victims were women in their 70s, according to KVIA.

El Paso has now reported 12 coronavirus-related deaths involving people who have been fully vaccinated against the virus. Overall, the city’s health officials have reported 2,744 deaths, including the unvaccinated.
