Ben Carson: Trump Saved My Life After I Got COVID

On Friday, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson issued a statement thanking President Trump for saving his life after Carson and his wife contracted the coronavirus, writing: “I became desperately ill. President Trump was following my condition and cleared me for the monoclonal antibody therapy that he had previously received, which I am convinced saved my life.”

Carson, a world-famous neurosurgeon, had tested positive for the coronavirus earlier in November. On Friday, he wrote on Facebook:

Thank you everyone for your support and prayers as Candy and I battled COVID-19. I was extremely sick and initially took Oleander 4X with dramatic improvement. However, I have several co-morbidities and after a brief period when I only experienced minor discomfort, the symptoms accelerated and I became desperately ill. President Trump was following my condition and cleared me for the monoclonal antibody therapy that he had previously received, which I am convinced saved my life.

President Trump, the fabulous White House medical team, and the phenomenal doctors at Walter Reed have been paying very close attention to my health and I do believe I am out of the woods at this point. I am hopeful that we can stop playing politics with medicine and instead combine our efforts and goodwill for the good of all people. While I am blessed to have the best medical care in the world (and I am convinced it saved my life), we must prioritize getting comparable treatments and care to everyone as soon as possible.

There are a number of promising treatments that need to be tested, approved, and distributed (sooner rather than later) so that the economy can be re-opened and we can all return to a semblance of normalcy. Also, people should recognize that there are a number of defined steps that legally have to be taken before vaccines are released to the public and trying to cause alarm by saying dangerous shortcuts were taken only serves to stoke fear. Together we will be victorious. God is still in charge.

California Sheriffs Tell Newsom They Won’t Enforce COVID Curfew

Several California sheriffs are telling Gov. Gavin Newsom (D.) that they are planning not to enforce the state’s new curfew rules.

“We’re not going to make criminals of normally law-abiding citizens,” Fresno County sheriff Margaret Mims said. Officials in four other law-enforcement agencies in the state also said they do not plan to treat gatherings during the coronavirus pandemic as criminal, according to Fox 26.

Mims argued that the police have higher priorities, including “taking guns away from gang members, stopping narcotic trafficking, and saving children from internet predators.” She also said there is little data showing that activities between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. play a significant role in spreading the virus. . .

Other police officers in the state echoed Mims’s position and said they would encourage compliance and boost education efforts about the dangers of the virus’s spread without arresting people. Sacramento County sheriff Scott Jones said his department would not enforce the curfew, limitations on social gatherings, or masks mandates. Elite Democrats Caught Maskless at Party Despite COVID Restrictions

Elite New York Democrats attending a Brooklyn private party did not adhere to the state’s coronavirus restrictions, photographs show.

The event was a private birthday party for Carl Scissura, who is the head of the New York Building Congress, a trade organization, the New York Daily News reported Thursday. Other attendees included former Brooklyn Democratic Party Chairman Frank Seddio and Deputy Brooklyn Borough President Ingrid Lewis-Martin, the publication reported.

Photographs of the event showed that very few people wore masks, though the party attendees stood in close proximity to one another as they chatted. One photograph showed both Seddio and Lewis-Martin chatting maskless. . .

Lewis-Martin said the party took place last Saturday — only a few days after Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued coronavirus restrictions mandating that private groups be no larger than 10 people. (Read more from “Elite Democrats Caught Maskless at Party Despite COVID Restrictions” HERE)

Donald Trump Jr. Tests Positive for COVID-19

President Donald Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week and is isolating, according to three people familiar with the matter.

A spokesman for Trump Jr. said in a statement he is asymptomatic for Covid-19, the disease caused by the virus.

Trump Jr. adds to the dozens of people associated with the president who have been infected by the virus, including Trump himself. On Friday, Rudy Giuliani’s son Andrew Giuliani, who is a White House aide, announced on Twitter he had tested positive. In addition, an aide to Vice President Mike Pence, Hannah MacInnis, tested positive earlier this month, according to two people familiar with the matter. Nurse Who Claimed Dying COVID Patients Filled With ‘Anger and Hate’ Appears to Have Embellished Story

Last week, CNN hosted a nurse who claimed in a Twitter thread that conservatives with COVID-19, whom she claimed to be treating, were denying the disease’s existence up to their dying breath. An investigation from RedState’s Scott Hounsell, however, suggests the nurse embellished her claims. . .

“Their last dying words are, ‘This can’t be happening. It’s not real,’” Doering claimed. “And when they should be spending time — FaceTiming their families, they’re filled with anger and hatred.”

In her Twitter thread, Doering claimed: “The ones that stick out are those who still don’t believe the virus is real. The ones who scream at you for a magic medicine and that Joe Biden is … [g]oing to ruin the USA,” she wrote. “All while gasping for breath on 100% Vapotherm. They tell you there must be another reason they are sick. They call you names and ask why you have to wear all that ‘stuff’ because they don’t have COViD because it’s not real. Yes. This really happens.”

After Doering’s appearance on CNN, which led many to question the validity of her claims and at the very least suggest CNN did absolutely no verification before inviting her on to speak, RedState’s Hounsell looking into the South Dakota coronavirus numbers and found Doering’s claims to be farfetched.

“Nurse Doering, a Marquette grad and licensed Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) lives in a little town called Woonsocket, in Sanborn County. Sanborn County has had just one COVID-19 death since the beginning of the pandemic, according to South Dakota’s COVID-19 statistics website, which provides data from all the different regions and counties in South Dakota, and USFacts.org. That death occurred in October,” Hounsell reported. (Read more from “Nurse Who Claimed Dying COVID Patients Filled With ‘Anger and Hate’ Appears to Have Embellished Story” HERE)

The Exemption in California’s Lockdown Order That Exposes Its Absurdity

Gov. Gavin Newsom on Thursday announced a “limited Stay at Home Order” beginning Saturday for one month.

“Non-essential work and gatherings must stop from 10pm-5am in counties in the purple tier,” Newsom said.

In a statement, he noted that it was the same as his March lockdown order but was only taking place during the seven-hour window. . .

But as Deadline noticed, the order appears to exclude people in the entertainment industry, listing them as essential workers, which was not the case in the March order.

Found listed under the Industrial, Commercial, Residential, and Sheltering Facilities and Services tab, the order excludes “Workers supporting the entertainment industries, studios, and other related establishments, provided they follow covid-19 public health guidance around physical distancing,” if remote work is not possible.

Donald Trump: ‘Big Pharma’ Purposely Delayed Coronavirus Vaccine Until After Election

President Donald Trump accused pharmaceutical companies Friday of purposely delaying a coronavirus vaccine until after the election, in order to prevent his reelection.

“Pfizer and others even decided to not assess the results of their vaccine, in other words, not come out with a vaccine, until just after the election,” Trump said.

The president accused the companies of purposely delaying the vaccine results, noting that they had planned to assess the data as early as October, but postponed it.

“So they waited and waited and waited, and they thought they’d come out with it a few days after the election, and it would have probably had an impact, who knows, maybe it wouldn’t have,” Trump said. “I’m sure they would have found the ballots someplace … the Democrats.”

The president said that “Big Pharma” was against his re-election because of his decision to level new rules against the industry to reduce the cost of prescription drugs. (Read more from “Donald Trump: ‘Big Pharma’ Purposely Delayed Coronavirus Vaccine Until After Election” HERE)

Major Peer-Reviewed Study Finds Masks Don’t Work

The first large, randomized controlled trial of its kind showed no statistically significant difference in COVID-19 cases between people who wore masks and those who did not.

The Danish study published this week in the Annals of Internal Medicine found that a “recommendation to wear a surgical mask when outside the home among others did not reduce, at conventional levels of statistical significance, incident [COVID-19] infection compared with no mask recommendation.”

Among 6,000 participants in Denmark, half were told to wear masks and half were not. The researchers found 42 of the participants who were told to wear masks contracted COVID-19, while 53 in the control group got the disease. . .

Critics of the study argue the researchers did not investigate specifically whether masks prevented people infected with COVID-19 from infecting other people.

A Danish newspaper reported the mask study had been completed three months ago, but it was rejected by leading three medical journals because the results are controversial. (Read more from “Major Peer-Reviewed Study Finds Masks Don’t Work” HERE)

WATCH: Joe Biden’s Warning for Americans Who Don’t Follow Thanksgiving COVID Demands

Former Vice President Joe Biden issued remarks regarding guidance on Thanksgiving gatherings amid the COVID-19 pandemic on Tuesday, suggesting the 2021 holidays could be similar to those of 2020 if guidance is not followed.

In a Tuesday news conference, Biden said, “Let me tell you what the health experts have said to me. They strongly urge that if, in fact, we’re gonna have Thanksgiving with anyone that we limit it to a maximum … 10 people, socially distanced, wearing masks. And people who have quarantined. Jill and I spent this morning like many of you trying to figure out what are we going to do for Thanksgiving. … We’ve narrowed down which family members, and that they were just tested — recently tested within 24 hours.”

Biden said that there should be no more than 10 people per room — and ideally, just five — during Thanksgiving celebrations, and all people in attendance should be masked.

“I would strongly urge for the sake … of your children, your mother, your father, your sisters, your brothers, whoever you get together at Thanksgiving. Think about this: There should be no group more than 10 people in one room … inside the home … and to be masked. It saves lives.

White House Press Secretary Calls Coronavirus Precautions for Thanksgiving ‘Orwellian’

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday described state-level guidance intended to curb the spread of the coronavirus at Thanksgiving as “Orwellian,” contradicting local authorities and arguing that such proposals were un-American.

The remarks from President Donald Trump’s top spokesperson came in an interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” after McEnany was asked by co-host Steve Doocy specifically about “suggestions and guidelines” from some governors that residents not gather in large groups when celebrating next Thursday.

“I think a lot of the guidelines you’re seeing are Orwellian,” McEnany said, instead referring to Thanksgiving guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“The American people know how to protect their health. We’ve dealt with Covid for many months,” she continued. “But it’s Orwellian in a place like Oregon to say, ‘If you gather in numbers more than six, we might come to your house and arrest you, and you get 30 days of jail time.’ That’s not the American way. We don’t lose our freedom in this country. We make responsible health decisions as individuals.” (Read more from “White House Press Secretary Calls Coronavirus Precautions for Thanksgiving ‘Orwellian’” HERE)
