Court Order Attempts to Block School District’s Critical Race Theory Ban, Transgender Policy

A coalition of parents, teachers and students in California asked the court for an injunction Thursday to halt Temecula Valley Unified School District from enforcing policies that require parents to be informed if their child wants to transition and bans curriculum about Critical Race Theory (CRT), according to court documents.

The coalition, led by the Public Counsel law firm, filed a lawsuit against the district in August for its 2022 ban on CRT and later amended the suit to include a policy requiring schools to inform parents on matters regarding their child’s gender identity, according to the East Bay Times. The coalition asked for a preliminary injunction this week to halt enforcement of both rules for the duration of the lawsuit, according to court documents.

“As a result of the Board’s censorship, Temecula students are being miseducated and left behind the rest of the State. Unless stopped, the Board’s actions will place these students at a permanent disadvantage in preparing for college, careers, and participation in a diverse democracy,” Amanda Mangaser Savage, supervising attorney of Public Counsel’s Opportunity Under Law project, said in a press release. “The stakes could not be higher: This is the first case to attack, head-on, efforts to spread censorship throughout California.”

The plaintiffs claim that the board has created a “dangerous and damaging” environment and that LGBTQ and “students of color” are being “stripped” of their rights to an education, according to the motion. The motion states that teachers must “broadly self-censor” and asked the court to temporarily halt the policies.

Supporters of the policies said that they appreciated the board standing firmly in support of parental rights, according to The Mercury News. One resident, Ryan Ramirez, said that supporters had been called “homophobes, transphobic, and this phobic and that phobic,” but that “many of us are Christians” and “love everybody.” (Read more from “Court Order Attempts to Block School District’s Critical Race Theory Ban, Transgender Policy” HERE)

Universities Around the Country Will Host ‘Critical Whiteness Studies’ Courses

Courses involving “Critical Whiteness Studies,” an offshoot of Critical Race Theory, will be available to students at several colleges across the country during the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.

The University of New Mexico’s Department of English Language and Literature will host a “Critical Whiteness Studies” course in Fall 2023, where students “will learn about whiteness as an ideology of supremacy and domination.” . . .

A course titled “Problematizing Whiteness: Educating for Racial Justice” at the University of Colorado, Denver, asserts that “Critical Whiteness Studies provides a deeper analysis of race that accounts for both sides … the plight of people of color and how white people are complicit.

The University of Oregon also hosts a class titled “Critical Whiteness Studies,” which “explores the social construction of race by investigating and historicizing ‘whiteness’ as a racial category in the U.S.” The University of Oregon also hosts courses on “Environmental Racism” and “Feminist Theories of Race.” (Read more from “Universities Around the Country Will Host ‘Critical Whiteness Studies’ Courses” HERE)

Ex-School Official Sues School Board Over Anti-Racism Training

A former assistant principal is suing a Virginia school board, claiming that she was forced out of her job for a “slip of the tongue” during a mandatory “anti-racism” training based on Critical Race Theory.

Emily Mais, who was the assistant principal at Agnor-Hurt Elementary School, accused the school district in a lawsuit filed Thursday of pushing her out in fall 2021 after she mistakenly used the words “colored people” as she railed against the training session.

Though Mais apologized for the “slip of the tongue, ”a teacher’s aide, who is black, verbally attacked her in front of all training attendees, the lawsuit filed in Albemarle County claims.

The aide accused her of “speaking like old racists who told people of color to go to the back of the bus,” the complaint claims.

Following that training, Mais said that multiple colleagues told her that the teacher’s aide and her friends were openly calling her vulgar names at work, including ‘that white racist b—-h” and “that two-faced racist b—-h” (Read more from “Ex-School Official Sues School Board Over Anti-Racism Training” HERE)

WATCH: Videos Expose Educators Ignoring State Laws Banning CRT in Schools

Schools in Republican-led states are skirting laws banning critical race theory (CRT) in public education, according to new investigative footage.

Released by Accuracy in Media (AIM), the videos show multiple school officials in Idaho discussing how the principles associated with the neo-Marxist ideology can be taught to students without officially being labeled as critical race theory, despite state law outlawing the teaching of ideas aligned with CRT by public educators.

While speaking with Mark Jones of the Boise School District, for instance, AIM President Adam Guillette asked whether educators could teach “tenets … associated with [CRT], but under the guise of equity or something else,” to which Jones affirmed and further explained that “part of [the district’s] strategic plan deals with equity.”

“And I bet the idiot MAGA crowd just ignores it because it doesn’t have the ‘critical race theory’ name on it, right?” Guilette continued.

“I hope so. I hope so,” Jones replied with a laugh.

Critical Race Theory ‘Undermines Our Military,’ Warns Retired Marine Lieutenant General

A former Joint Staff director of operations believes current Pentagon officials are not adequately prepared for a military conflict, in part due to cultural factors such as critical race theory.

Retired Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Greg Newbold, in an op-ed for Task & Purpose this week, accused “our most senior politicians and military leaders” of having “a form of dementia when it comes to warfare” and said the subsequent result “is a dangerous and potentially catastrophic malady.”

Newbold, who retired in October 2002 over his opposition to the United States’s invasion of Iraq , argued that the military’s “two main purposes” are to “deter our enemies,” and “if that fails, to defeat them in combat,” and he also alleged that the military “cannot be a mirror image of the society it serves.”

“Values that are admirable in civilian society — sensitivity, individuality, compassion, and tolerance for the less capable — are often antithetical to the traits that deter a potential enemy and win the wars that must be fought: Conformity, discipline, unity,” he wrote.

The retired Pentagon official also pushed back on critical race theory, a decades-old concept that has gotten significant media attention in recent years, which he claimed was inconsistent with what the military needed to do to be successful. Critical race theory is a theory that claims U.S. institutions were created with the implicit design to keep white people ahead of minorities, thus making the only way to achieve a fully just society is to dismantle the system in place. White House Tries to Claim CRT Isn’t Being Taught in Schools

The White House joined the liberal chorus charging critical race theory is not being taught in schools and is only invoked to stoke fear among white parents, a claim belied by ever-increasing reams of evidence.

After Virginia Republicans claimed victories in the governor’s race and two other statewide races Tuesday with campaign platforms highly critical of public school curricula and critical race theory, the issue made its way to the White House briefing room.

“We need to be honest here about what’s going on,” said deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Friday. “Republicans are lying. They are not being honest. They are not being truthful about where we stand. And they’re cynically trying to use our kids as a political football.” . . .

“Clearly, the Biden administration hasn’t learned that calling parents liars is not a winning strategy,” said Ian Prior, executive director of Fight for Schools, a political action committee that backed Youngkin’s campaign.

In an interview with the Washington Examiner, Jonathan Butcher, senior fellow in education at the Heritage Foundation, said Jean-Pierre’s claim was “nonsense,” pointing to numerous examples of school districts using the term “critical race theory” repeatedly in reference to K-12 instruction. Parents Announce ‘Not a Domestic Terrorist’ March in Washington

By the time Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland realizes what an incredibly stupid memo he wrote to the president accusing parents of ‘”harassment and intimidation” of school board members, his boss will probably be a lame-duck president ready to be put out to pasture.

Republicans couldn’t have drawn it up any better. What’s the best way to show how radical the Biden administration is? How about threatening parents with a federal investigation because they want a say in what their children are being taught?

That parental pushback will take substantive form on October 17, when there will be a “Not a Domestic Terrorist” rally in front of the Department of Justice Building.

The parental pushback issue has roiled the Virginia gubernatorial race. Democrat Terry McAuliffe made the gaffe of the race — so far — when he said he didn’t “think parents should be telling schools what they should teach.” His opponent, Republican Glenn Youngkin, is firing with both barrels, blanketing the state with $3 million in ads about education. Revealed: U.S. Attorney General’s Son-in-Law Cofounder of Company Promoting Critical Race Theory; FBI Investigating Parents Who Protest School COVID-19 Policies

By Breitbart. U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland’s son-in-law is a co-founder of an educational data mining company that promotes the tenets of Critical Race Theory (CRT), a report at Becker News observed Wednesday.

The report noting Garland’s family ties to CRT comes in the wake of the attorney general’s memorandum directing the FBI to mobilize against parents who oppose CRT and mask mandates in K-12 schools and speak out about their concerns.

As the New York Times reported, in 2018, Garland’s daughter, Rebecca, married Alexander “Xan” Tanner, co-founder and president of Panorama Education, a Boston-based software and analytical data services company that boasts its founders were once “student activists.”

The Times wedding announcement states:

The bride’s father, Judge Merrick B. Garland, took part in the ceremony, giving a tribute to the couple … The bride’s father is the chief judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, in Washington. Her mother advises government and nonprofit groups on voting systems security and accuracy issues.

FBI Investigating Parents Who Protest School COVID-19 Policies

By WMUR G. A reported rise in threats and assaults at school board meetings across the country is catching the attention of federal law enforcement officials.

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland has directed the FBI to investigate the cases, some of which have been reported in New Hampshire. School officials in Nashua said they have experienced disruptions during meetings for months.

Tuesday’s Nashua school board meeting was over before it could begin. Board president Heather Raymond pulled the plug after a group of people became disruptive when they were asked to wear masks, which are required by the district. . .

Garland is directing the FBI to investigate harassment, intimidation and threats of violence against school board members and other personnel. . .

The U.S. Department of Justice is looking into the possibility of federal prosecutions and said it will also put together specialized training for school districts and administrators to help them deal with such situations. Biden Unleashes FBI Gestapo To Terrorize Parents Opposed to Critical Race Theory

His Fraudulency Joe Biden’s attorney general has just announced that the FBI will be engaged to terrorize parents who oppose left-wing school board policies.

All around the country, parents have been speaking out and protesting against several absurd and destructive school board policies that have been put in place to damage, sexualize, and indoctrinate innocent children.

Chief among these policies is Critical Race Theory, which teaches children to be racists and that white people are inherently dangerous oppressors due to their skin color.

Parents are also opposed to anti-science mask mandates. Although nothing in the science supports the idea that forcing kids into filthy masks all day long does anyone any good, these fascist school boards are still imposing these mandates. Military Academies Stonewall Demands for Transparency of CRT Curriculum

Watchdog organizations say the Department of Defense is ignoring calls for transparency into critical race theory curriculum at the nation’s service academies.

The Washington-based Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit seeking information about CRT instruction at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, following up on a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request in April for records and contracts related to “diversity, equity, inclusion, and equity training” at the storied academy. . .

Federal agencies must respond to a FOIA request within 20 business days unless there are “unusual circumstances.”

“Under the law, they’re not being forthcoming,” Mr. Fitton said. “Some of it is the bureaucracy. And the other factor that one can presume is that they don’t want the information to be released for political and other reasons.” (Read more from “Military Academies Stonewall Demands for Transparency of CRT Curriculum” HERE)
