Biden’s Already-Politicized DHS Uses National Alert System to Warn That “False-Narratives” About Election Are Fueling Domestic Terrorism

Using a federal system designed to warn all Americans about terrorist threats to the U.S. homeland, the Department of Homeland Security has issued a warning that anger “fueled by false narratives,” especially unfounded claims about the 2020 presidential election, could lead some inside the country to launch attacks in the coming weeks.

“Information suggests that some ideologically-motivated violent extremists with objections to the exercise of governmental authority and the presidential transition, as well as other perceived grievances fueled by false narratives, could continue to mobilize to incite or commit violence,” according to a bulletin issued Wednesday through the DHS National Terrorist Advisory System — or NTAS.

The system was last used to issue a public warning a year ago, when DHS issued a bulletin over potential retaliation by Iran for the U.S. assassination of Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani in Iraq days earlier. A year before that, DHS issued a bulletin through the same system to highlight the threat from foreign terrorist groups like ISIS or al-Qaida.

But over the past year, domestic terrorists “motivated by a range of issues, including anger over COVID-19 restrictions, the 2020 election results, and police use of force have plotted and on occasion carried out attacks against government facilities,” and “long-standing racial and ethnic tension — including opposition to immigration — has driven [domestic terrorist] attacks,” the bulletin issued Wednesday said. Ex-Homeland Security Official Outs Himself as ‘Anonymous’ Anti-Trump Author; Trump Says Taylor ‘Should Be Prosecuted’; Supporters Shout ‘Drain the Swamp’ as Trump Mocks ‘Anonymous’ Nobody, New York Times

By NPR. Miles Taylor, the former chief of staff at the Department of Homeland Security, has revealed himself to be “Anonymous,” the author of a New York Times op-ed and book critical of the Trump presidency.

“To be clear, writing those works was not about eminence (they were published without attribution), not about money (I declined a hefty monetary advance and pledged to donate the bulk of the proceeds), and not about crafting a score-settling ‘tell all’ (my focus was on the President himself and his character, not denigrating former colleagues),” Taylor wrote in a Medium post.

“Nevertheless, I made clear I wasn’t afraid to criticize the President under my name.”

Taylor, in media interviews as recently as August, denied being “Anonymous.” (Read more from “Ex-Homeland Security Official Outs Himself as ‘Anonymous’ Anti-Trump Author” HERE)

Trump Says Miles Taylor ‘Should Be Prosecuted’ After Reveal as ‘Anonymous’ Administration Critic

By Fox News. President Trump called Wednesday night for former Department of Homeland Security chief of staff Miles Taylor to face prosecution after he revealed himself as “Anonymous,” the former senior administration official who authored a New York Times op-ed criticizing the presidency in 2018.

Trump took aim at Taylor during a campaign rally in Goodyear, Ariz., referring to him as a “low-level staffer, a sleazebag, who’s never worked in the White House.” Taylor revealed his identity as “Anonymous” in a blog post on Wednesday afternoon.

“The whole thing was just one more giant hoax from the Washington swamp and a corrupt special interest group,” Trump said at the rally. “I’ll tell you what – this guy, in my opinion, should be prosecuted. He should be prosecuted. The left wing media and the swamp are doing everything in their power to try to stop us.”

Supporters Shout ‘Drain the Swamp’ as Donald Trump Mocks ‘Anonymous’ Nobody, New York Times

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump ridiculed The New York Times after the “Anonymous” administration “insider” Miles Tayor revealed his identity on Wednesday. . .

“You know where he works now? He works at CNN, can you believe it?” Trump chuckled.

The president joked that after the New York Times published the op-ed, he was concerned that the “anonymous” official could have been a high-level source like his top advisers Hope Hicks or even his son-in-law Jared Kushner or even a Senator like Mike Lee (R-UT) or Rand Paul (R-KY). . .

Trump also mocked Taylor for taking a job with Google after he left the administration.

“Isn’t that nice?” he asked sarcastically, recalling that the Justice Department was suing Google for antitrust behavior. (Read more from “Supporters Shout ‘Drain the Swamp’ as Donald Trump Mocks ‘Anonymous’ Nobody, New York Times” HERE)

Former Obama Acting DHS Inspector General Indicted

A federal grand jury in the District of Columbia has indicted former acting inspector general for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Charles K. Edwards, and his former subordinate, Murali Yamazula Venkata, on 16 counts for their alleged theft of “proprietary software and confidential databases from the U.S. government as part of a scheme to defraud the U.S. government,” according to a press release from the DOJ. Edwards served as acting IG for the Department of Homeland Security from 2011 to 2013. The DOJ announced the charges against Edwards and Venkata on Friday.

According to the allegations in the indictment, from October 2014 to April 2017, Edwards, Venkata, and others executed a scheme to defraud the U.S. government by stealing confidential and proprietary software from DHS Office of Inspector General (OIG), along with sensitive government databases containing personal identifying information (PII) of DHS and USPS employees, so that Edwards’s company, Delta Business Solutions, could later sell an enhanced version of DHS-OIG’s software to the Office of Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Agriculture at a profit. Although Edwards had left DHS-OIG in December 2013, he continued to leverage his relationship with Venkata and other DHS-OIG employees to steal the software and the sensitive government databases.

The indictment further alleges that, in addition to stealing DHS-OIG’s software and the sensitive government databases, Venkata and others also assisted Edwards by reconfiguring his laptop so that he could properly upload the stolen software and databases, provided troubleshooting support whenever Edwards required it, and helped him build a testing server at his residence with the stolen software and databases, which contained PII. As further part of the alleged scheme, Edwards retained software developers in India for the purpose of developing his commercial alternative of DHS-OIG’s software.

Venkata is also accused of destroying records. (Read more from “Former Obama Acting DHS Inspector General Indicted” HERE)

DHS Whistleblower Found Dead; Rep. Steve King: “Phil Haney Didn’t Kill Himself”; Scant MSM Coverage

Philip Haney, a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) whistleblower who was an outspoken critic of the administration of former President Barack Obama, was found dead Friday, about 40 miles east of Sacramento, Calif., local authorities said.

Haney, 66, “appeared to have suffered a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound,” the Amador County Sheriff’s Office said in a release. Sheriff and coroner Martin A. Ryan shared the initial details of the case.

“On February 21, 2020 at approximately 1012 hours, deputies and detectives responded to the area of Highway 124 and Highway 16 in Plymouth to the report of a male subject on the ground with a gunshot wound,” the release read.

“Upon their arrival, they located and identified 66-year-old Philip Haney, who was deceased and appeared to have suffered a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound. A firearm was located next to Haney and his vehicle. This investigation is active and ongoing. No further details will be released at this time,” the office added. . .

In June 2016, Haney testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he alleged that the Obama-era DHS had ordered him to delete hundreds of files about reputed associates of Islamic terrorist groups. Haney made the case that several attacks in the U.S. could have been prevented if some of the files had not been deleted, the Examiner reported. Gunshot Wound to Chest, “Apparently Self-Inflicted”

By Edwin Mora. Although authorities have said the gunshot wound “appears” to be “self-inflicted,” stressing that the investigation is ongoing, 66-year-old Haney had been missing since February 19. and died from a gunshot wound to his chest two days later, Red State and Heavy reported.

Gunshot wounds to the chest are uncommon in the case of suicides, data reportedly show. Haney’s death has triggered a wave of claims suggesting he may have been a victim of foul play.

Echoing some of the whistleblower’s friends, a number of senior congressional officials have expressed alarm to Breitbart News about this, noting that they do no believe Haney was suicidal.

Law enforcement found Haney’s body 40 miles east of Sacramento, California. . .

“If I am found dead, it wasn’t suicide,” Haney told multiple people, confirmed by two anonymous sources, the NOQ Report learned. (Read more about the DHS Whistleblower who was shot and killed HERE)

Multiple Friends: “No Way He Would Have Killed Himself”

Haney, 67, had many enemies. An outspoken critic of the Obama administration and supporter of President Trump, the Middle East expert has been fighting against radical Islamic terrorism since becoming a founding member of the Department of Homeland Security in 2002. He was reportedly in the middle of independent investigations to help “protect America from progressive leftist socialists” when he was found dead near his car outside of San Francisco.

He was scheduled to be married later this year. Friends who talked to him before his disappearance on February 19th say he’d “never been happier” and that there’s “no way he would have taken his own life.” But law enforcement appears to be treating this as a suicide. Hopefully, this is a smokescreen and they’re at least considering the possibility he was murdered. . .

If this is really a suicide, it comes at not only an odd time but also by an odd means. Nearly all suicides by firearms are committed at home. Allegedly, Haney drove out to the area of Highway 124 and Highway 16, got out of his car, and shot himself in the chest. The gun was found next to him and his car. No note has been reportedly found, nor are there social media posts indicating any preconceived notions of depression, let alone suicide. His last Facebook post was a meme ridiculing the impeachment saga. (Read more about the DHS Whistleblower HERE)

Trump Administration Suspends Enrollment in Global Entry for New Yorkers

The Department of Homeland Security said Wednesday it was suspending New Yorkers’ ability to enroll in Global Entry and other programs that allow travelers to pass quickly through airport security and customs in a move following a state law that allows undocumented immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses.

Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf told Fox News on Wednesday night that New Yorkers were no longer eligible to enroll or re-enroll in Global Entry and other such Trusted Traveler Programs that allow U.S. citizens to have faster entry into the country.

“Today, we sent a letter to New York indicating because they took these measures that New York residents are no longer eligible to enroll in these Trusted Traveler Programs,” Wolf said. “They can’t enroll or re-enroll in these Trusted Travel Programs that Customs and Border Protection offers because we no longer have access to make sure that they meet those program requirements.”

The Trump administration’s decision comes after the president once again took aim at “sanctuary cities,” which limit cooperation with immigration enforcement authorities, in his State of the Union address Tuesday night.

New York passed its so-called Green Light law last year which allows New Yorkers over the age of 16 to apply for non-commercial driver’s licenses or learner’s permits regardless of their citizenship or legal status in the U.S. That law also prevents Immigration and Customs Enforcement and CBP from accessing information in the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles database without a court order or a judicial warrant. DHS Chief Says Democrats Turned Down Offer to Test Iowa Caucus App for Cybersecurity Problems; Voters Say the Iowa Caucus Numbers Don’t Add up

By The Blaze. The app at the center of Democrats’ Iowa caucus fiasco wasn’t vetted by the Department of Homeland Security despite an offer to do so, a top Trump administration official said.

During a Tuesday morning interview with Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” acting Department of Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf said that his department offered to vet the now-infamous app being blamed for Monday night’s electoral debacle but was turned down on the offer.

“So, our cybersecurity and infrastructure security agency has offered to test that app from a hacking perspective,” Wolf said. “They declined. And so, we’re seeing a couple of issues with it.”

However, Wolf also went on to say that those issues didn’t appear to be the result of hacking.

“Right now, we don’t see any malicious cyberactivity going on,” Wolf said during the interview. (Read more from “DHS Chief Says Democrats Turned Down Offer to Test Iowa Caucus App for Cybersecurity Problems” HERE)

Voters Say the Iowa Caucus Numbers Don’t Add up and People Are Freaking Out

By WQAD. The Iowa Caucuses are long over but results are still being tabulated and released.

The delay in results that were expected February 3rd has many people angry about the time it’s taking to report numbers and what some say is the unnecessarily convoluted way in which it is run.

And the questions are coming from inside the state of Iowa and far from its borders.

With 86% of precincts reporting results from the Iowa caucuses, several inconsistencies were seen with the latest batch of numbers, according to Black Hawk County Supervisor Chris Schwartz. (Read more from “Voters Say the Iowa Caucus Numbers Don’t Add up and People Are Freaking Out” HERE)

DHS Started Preparing Against Iran Threats Months Ago, Acting Secretary Says; The New Iranian General to Watch

By Daily Caller. Chad Wolf, the acting secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), said the U.S. government was well prepared for any threats from Iran because it had prepared months in advance.

Wolf visited Yuma, Arizona, earlier in January to commemorate 100 miles of border wall built since the beginning of the Trump administration. The acting DHS chief spoke to the Daily Caller News Foundation about construction progress, the roadblocks to securing the border, and about the recent security threats from Iran — which is largely under the purview of DHS.

While the events earlier in January between the U.S. military and Iran appeared to catch the public by surprise, Wolf revealed that his government was able to hit the ground running to ensure the public was safe because it had been preparing since the summer.

“The nation-state of Iran and the threats that surround that are nothing new to the department, nothing new to the U.S. government generally,” Wolf told the DCNF. “We started working collaboratively within our department to come up with contingency plans for the variety of different threats. We had that on the shelf this summer, so when the events on the second took place, we took that off and started implementing those right away.” (Read more from “DHS Started Preparing Against Iran Threats Months Ago, Acting Secretary Says” HERE)

The New Iranian General to Watch

By Politico. The U.S. killing of Gen. Qassem Soleimani earlier this month deprived Iran of one of its most singular leaders, and created new questions about Iran’s strategy of building and maintaining its power in the region. Without its charismatic and high-profile commander, would Iran be forced to retrench and pause? Or would it find new ways to lash out? . . .

This week, Iran announced a new and potentially more telling promotion: The new Quds Force deputy commander will be Gen. Muhammad Hussein-Zada Hejazi, who most recently commanded the Quds Force’s Lebanon Corps, overseeing Iran’s ties to Hezbollah and the Quds Force activities throughout the Levant more broadly.

The message behind Hejazi’s promotion is clear: Soleimani may be dead, but the Quds Force he led lives on, and is taking active measures to ensure it is able to continue pursuing the regional strategy he championed.

Forced to rebuild the proxy management and command and control mechanisms that Soleimani once ran himself by force of personality and longtime connections, Iran is developing a new strategy to oversee what Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei described as “fighters without borders.” And the strategy comes down to this: Since no one commander can replace Soleimani, Iran’s proxy network will now be run by committee, with the Quds Force cobbling together a crew of its more senior and experienced managers to collectively fill the roles Soleimani had taken on himself. Key leaders of Iranian proxy groups, especially Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah, are sure to play major roles. But policymakers should pay especially close attention to personnel shifts and promotions within the Quds Force itself. (Read more from “The New Iranian General to Watch” HERE)

DHS Secretary Abruptly Resigns

President Trump announced Sunday afternoon that Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen “will be leaving her position” after 16 months in the job.

Trump also announced that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Kevin McAleenan will replace Nielsen as acting secretary, tweeting: “I have confidence that Kevin will do a great job!”

Nielsen tweeted Sunday evening that she had submitted her resignation and added: “Its [sic] been an honor of a lifetime to serve with the brave men and women of @DHSgov. I could not be prouder of and more humbled by their service, dedication, and commitment to keep our country safe from all threats and hazards.” She included an image of a resignation letter to Trump in which she wrote: “Despite our progress in reforming homeland security for a new age, I have determined that it is the right time for me to step aside.” . . .

Nielsen met with Trump at the White House Sunday amid an ongoing influx of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border that has been taxing America’s immigration system and sparking frustration within the administration. The Associated Press, citing two sources, reported that Nielsen had been frustrated with the difficulty of getting other departments to help deal with the growing number of families crossing the southwestern border. Dem Reps. Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib, Omar Propose Slashing Homeland Security Funds

A group of newly elected far-left congresswomen want to slash funding to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the primary U.S. agency tasked with border security.

“Cut, do not increase funding” to the DHS, reads a bolded section of a “Dear Colleague” letter that was obtained Thursday by The Daily Beast.

The four-member letter is signed by socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., anti-Semitic, pro-Islamist Reps. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass.

In justifying their proposal, the group claims that “a number of agencies housed at DHS have abused their authority and the fidelity of public resources.”

“Funds are being allocated internally not to make our nation safer, but to build desert camps to inhumanely house infants and to prosecute immigrants who are part of the fabric of our community,” the memo claims.

Nowhere in the letter do the four congressional Democrats address actual border security issues or the illegal migration crisis that is negatively impacting the lives of millions of American citizens. Watch: Dem Rep Tries to Use Baby Jesus to Savage DHS Secretary

Rep. Luis Gutierrez went on a minutes-long tirade against DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen Thursday in which he not only called her a liar, but also compared President Trump to the biblical King Herod, who tried to murder baby Jesus.

The Bible tells how, following Jesus’ birth, Mary and Joseph were told to flee to Egypt to avoid Herod’s murderous intent. According to Gutierrez, had Trump been running things in Egypt, Herod would have succeeded.

“Thank God that wall wasn’t there, and thank God there wasn’t an administration like this, or he would have perished … on the Day of Innocents, when Herod ordered the murder of every child under two years of age,” Gutiérrez said. “Maybe I haven’t gone a lot to Bible school, but I know that part.”

ome version of this analogy has been used before in the immigration fight. If you don’t agree with the farthest-left immigration or refugee policy in the debate, it goes, then you would have mistreated baby Jesus and His family, and you should be ashamed of yourself. It substitutes emotion and shame for a substantive argument based on the facts.

So let’s look at those facts, shall we? The whole thing is pretty flimsy.

In a following question from a Republican member of the committee, Secretary Nielsen was asked whether or not Jesus’ family would qualify for asylum under our current laws and policies. Her answer was yes.

And she’s right. Mary and Joseph weren’t fleeing because the Egyptian job market was better than the one in Galilee or because Nazarene organized crime was such a problem. The holy family had legitimate fear of individual persecution based on the fact that the local puppet king was plotting a mass infanticide in his efforts to kill their baby.

Even if there were no difference whatsoever between U.S. immigration laws and those of first-century Egypt, and even if a wall ran from the shores of the Mediterranean to the Red Sea, Mary and Joseph could simply have followed the law and applied for asylum at a legal port of entry.

Furthermore, scripture and tradition say nothing about Mary and Joseph breaking any laws or joining a caravan of other migrants bent on violating Egypt’s laws and assaulting agents of its government.

So, yes, the comparison falls apart pretty quickly, but that’s what happens when you try to use Christ’s birth as a shoddy emotional political chip.

And before we go, does anyone else find a congressman with a 100 percent Planned Parenthood score viciously moralizing about the martyrdom of the Holy Innocents a bit despicable? (For more from the author of “Watch: Dem Rep Tries to Use Baby Jesus to Savage DHS Secretary” please click HERE)
