Women Now Claim This Popular Disney Song Promotes Sexual Assault

An all-male a cappella group at a prestigious university will no longer sing one well-known Disney song because some audience members — and one sophomore who wrote an article about it for the student newspaper — found it to be “uncomfortable.” . . .

One of the school’s all-male a cappella groups, the Princeton Tigertones, will no longer perform its popular rendition of “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid after the complaints. During their performance, the group invites a woman from the audience to join them as they sing and “playfully dance with her for a bit,” according to Inside Higher Ed. As the song reaches a close, the group invites a male audience member, pretend to groom him, and then put the two together, asking that they kiss, as the song suggests. The random couple complies, “sometimes on with a peck on the cheek, sometimes briefly on the lips,” Inside Higher Ed reported.

On November 26, sophomore Noa Wollstein wrote an opinion article for the Daily Princetonian asking the Tigertones to stop singing the song because it “is more misogynistic and dismissive of consent than cute.”

“Its lyrics raise some serious issues. The premise of the song, originally sung in the Disney film The Little Mermaid, is that the male Prince Eric, on a date with the beautiful female Ariel, should kiss her without asking for a single word to affirm her consent. Despite the fact that an evil sea-witch cursed Ariel’s voice away, making verbal consent impossible, the song is clearly problematic from the get-go,” Wollstein wrote.

She claims that if you take away the mermaids and the magic, the “message comes across as even more jarring.” She cites the lyrics “It’s possible she wants you too/There’s one way to ask her/It don’t take a word, not a single word/Go on and kiss the girl, kiss the girl” and ““she won’t say a word/Until you kiss that girl,” as problematic. These lyrics, she insists, “unambiguously encourage men to make physical advances on women without obtaining their clear consent.” (Read more from “Women Now Claim This Popular Disney Song Promotes Sexual Assault” HERE)

Guy Gets Banned From Disney – Here’s the Ridiculous Reason Why (It Has to Do With Trump)

A man just got banned from Disney World for displaying a “Trump 2020” sign on the ride Splash Mountain during the photo drop and for displaying a “Keep America Great Again” sign on Expedition Everest.

“A man who displayed signs supporting Donald Trump is permanently not permitted at all Walt Disney World properties for violating the rules,” according to The Hollywood Reporter. . .

The man, Don Cini, had his annual pass taken away from him previously for a similar stunt. Disney, however, had a change of heart and granted him his pass back. They took it away once again for the same reason. Don Cini, however, maintains that he displayed the signs on the ride to “test them.”

“They never mentioned the fact that there was some kind of safety issue on the ride. That I was holding up a sign and I shouldn’t be doing that,” Cini told WFTV. “And I wanted to actually abide by their rules, and not hold up a flag to incite a crowd, but I kind of wanted to test them. I just really wanted to find out whether or not it had to do with unfurling a flag, or what was written on the flag.” . . .

While people might be quick to blast Disney for picking on a Trump supporter, a spokesman for the park said the ban comes from Cini “not following park rules.” To the park’s credit, it did not cave into SJW pressure when leftists demanded that President Trump not be included in the “Hall of Presidents” exhibit. In fact, the recently-elected president got his own animatronic and provided his own voice for the recorded speech. Disney Park Dwellers Can Thank Liberal Enviros for This Annoying New Policy

Another major company has hopped on the straw ban bandwagon. The Walt Disney Company announced Thursday that it will stop using single-use plastic straws and stirrers in all of its locations by mid-2019. This includes all parks across the globe, except the Disney Tokyo Resort.

The move will reportedly result in the reduction of more than 175 million straws and 13 million stirrers annually—and that’s not the only way the company hopes to shrink its plastic footprint.

Disney will reduce the number of single-use plastic shopping bags in its parks and on cruise ships, as well. Reusable bags will be available for purchase instead. Polystyrene cups will reportedly be phased out of parks, too.

Guests staying in Disney-owned hotels or Disney Cruise Line staterooms may also notice refillable in-room amenities rather than those mini shampoo and conditioner bottles. The company estimates this will reduce plastic waste by 80 percent.

“Eliminating plastic straws and other plastic items are meaningful steps in our long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship,” Bob Chapek, Chairman, Disney Parks, Experiences, and Consumer Products said in the news release. “These new global efforts help reduce our environmental footprint, and advance our long-term sustainability goals.” (Read more from “Disney Park Dwellers Can Thank Liberal Enviros for This Annoying New Policy” HERE)

Disney Fires ‘Guardians’ Director Over Disturbing Pedophilia Tweets

James Gunn, the powerhouse writer/director behind Marvel’s lucrative Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, was fired by the Walt Disney company Friday.

“The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him,” Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn said in a statement. . .

According the Hollywood Reporter, a far-left entertainment site, the now-disgraced Gunn had already begun writing the Guardians 3 script. Shooting was scheduled to begin this fall in Atlanta.

While the establishment media and entertainment media all but ignored the story (probably hoping they could save the Trump-hating Gunn), Twitter sleuths online, the Daily Caller, and (to its credit) TheWrap, all dug up and covered explosive tweets written by Gunn over the past decade — tweets that “joked” about committing child rape, along with disparaging jokes about Mexicans, AIDS, the Holocaust, and rape in general.

One of the more disturbing finds was Gunn bragging about a movie titled 100 Pubescent Girls Touch Themselves that he apparently embedded on his personal website. In an apparent panic, Gunn took his website down Thursday night, but the Wayback Machine reveals that he received the video from a man who was later convicted of pedophilia. In the most vulgar way imaginable, Gunn bragged that the movie gave him an orgasm. (Read more from “Disney Fires ‘Guardians’ Director James Gunn Over Disturbing Pedophilia Tweets” HERE)

‘Frozen’ Director Open to Making Main Character a Lesbian in Sequel

Lending credence to rumors which surfaced a couple years ago, principals involved in the making of Disney’s Frozen 2 are keeping alive the possibility of Elsa coming out of the closet as a lesbian.

In fact, everyone involved with the production seems to love the buzz that speculation about Elsa’s sexual orientation is creating regarding the planned sequel.

“I love everything people are saying [and] people are thinking about with our film ― that it’s creating dialogue, that Elsa is this wonderful character that speaks to so many people,” said writer and co-director Jennifer Lee in an interview with the Huffington Post. “It means the world to us that we’re part of these conversations.”

“Where we’re going with it, we have tons of conversations about it, and we’re really conscientious about these things,” Lee added in the HuffPo interview. “For me … Elsa’s every day telling me where she needs to go, and she’ll continue to tell us. I always write from character-out, and where Elsa is and what Elsa’s doing in her life, she’s telling me every day. We’ll see where we go.”

Idina Menzel, who lent her voice to Elsa in the original Frozen, told PrideSource in 2016 she was “really happy” that it was her Frozen character that stirred so much interest in the possibility of a gay or lesbian Disney kids’ film character. Professor: Princes in ‘Snow White,’ ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Sex Offenders

Seemingly perfect for the current atmosphere of the “#MeToo” movement, a Japanese sociology and gender theory professor says that stories such as “Snow White” and “Sleeping Beauty” feature examples of sexual assault by the male protagonists.

Osaka University’s Kazue Muta, author of Sir, That Love is Sexual Harassment! which deals with workplace sexual harassment, “accused the princes in each story of sexual assault” in a December 11 tweet. She compared them to a “real incident in which a man in Wakayama was arrested for kissing a sleeping woman on the train” Sora News 24 reports.

The tweet’s translation says “When you think rationally about Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, that tell of a ‘princess being woken up by the kiss of a prince,’ they are describing sexual assault on an unconscious person. You might think I’m ruining the fantasy of it all, but these stories are promoting sexual violence and I would like everyone to be aware of it.”

From the story:

However, upon reading into these tales there is a little more going on. In the Grimm version of Snow White no kiss takes place at all. Instead the Prince just moves her glass coffin which jostles her, dislodges the poison apple, and wakes her up. Granted the fact that he wanted her corpse in the first place is suspicious, but not enough to condemn him outright.

Disney’s Not Safe for Kids – but You Knew That

. . .The real problem is being overlooked.

“Disney has now decided to throw some sex and gender issues into the mix,” noted the New York Post. “Small-screen shows like ‘Andi Mack’ featured a tween character coming to terms with his own sexuality.”. . .

“On a recent episode of the Disney XD show ‘Star vs. the Forces of Evil,’” noted another New York Post article, “a young boy dresses up as Princess Marco Turdina – get it? Turd-ina – in order to rescue a group of girls from the evil headmistress at St. Olga’s Reform School for Wayward Princesses. Sounds tame, right? Boy rescues girls, how traditional.”

Not so fast! Turdina isn’t a princess. She’s a boy. Evil personified explodes, revealing Turdina’s chest hair hidden beneath the girl garb.

The twist? Social Justice wins the day as the young women warriors cry, “Why does it matter if he’s a boy? Nothing he said was wrong! He can be a princess if he wants to! Turdina is a state of mind!” (Read more from “Disney’s Not Safe for Kids – but You Knew That” HERE)

Disney Approves First Story Line for ‘Coming-Out’ of Character

Executives at Disney Channel — and pro-gay groups — have given their stamp of approval for a coming-out tale for tweens on “Andi Mack.”

The second season of Disney’s coming-of-age show will feature a creative milestone that was pre-screened by such groups as the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) and PFLAG.

The series, which stars Peyton Elizabeth Lee, follows her character’s “uncharted course of self-discovery.”

“Everyone involved in the show takes great care in ensuring that it’s appropriate for all audiences and sends a powerful message about inclusion and respect for humanity,” the company said in a statement on Thursday via its ABC News subsidiary. Disney Cartoon Features Lesbian ‘Moms,’ Promotes Gay ‘Marriage’ to Preschoolers

An August 5 episode of the Disney Junior show Doc McStuffins, which is aimed at preschoolers, featured two lesbian “moms” as the heads of a family.

The show is about an aspiring doctor who “fixes” toys with help from friends.

In the August 5 episode “The Emergency Plan,” a lesbian couple and their children (they’re a family of dolls) have to flee their house because of an “earthquake.” The purpose of the episode is apparently teaching children the importance of having an emergency plan.

“With this episode, they see a family that looks like our family,” said Wanda Sykes, a lesbian actress who plays one of the same-sex partners. “We’re two moms… it’s going to be very exciting for [my kids] to see our family represented.” (Read more from “Disney Cartoon Features Lesbian ‘Moms,’ Promotes Gay ‘Marriage’ to Preschoolers” HERE)

Disney’s Next Movie Could Be Watching You, Too

There’s this term in the processed food industry for when something is quantifiably at its most delicious, but also–critically–still unsatisfying enough that you always crave more. It’s called the bliss point, and it’s what ensures that you always want another sip of that soft drink, or the crunch of that potato chip. It’s about maximizing the bliss of consumption so that you consume more.

Now, Disney Research has developed a neural network that seems to be chasing a similar idea–but for the world of movies. The system has been trained to watch an audience of theatergoers as they watch a film. It can track reactions like smiling and laughter on hundreds of faces in a dark theater, allowing Disney to quantify whether or not a film is working as intended on a granular scale. It’s easy to imagine such technology eventually reaching well beyond the movie theater, into the real world, where Disney parks could react to your mood with real-time Disney magic.

Disney’s researchers tested the system across 150 showings of several Disney films like The Jungle Book and Star Wars: The Force Awakens in movie theaters. Studios like Disney have used the reactions of test audiences to gauge early cuts of films for decades, often making changes to the edit or ending if the film wasn’t hitting as hoped. What’s different in this instance is the sheer amount of analysis Disney Research was able to produce with this methodology: 3,179 people generated 16 million points of data.
