Tulsi Gabbard: ‘Logical Consequence’ of Calling Trump ‘Hitler’

Former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard said the assassination attempt on Donald Trump was “a logical consequence” of the left’s extreme rhetoric concerning the former president. . .

“The assassination attempt on President Trump is a logical consequence of repeatedly comparing him to Adolf Hitler,” Gabbard posted early Sunday morning on X.

Local Police Officer Encountered Trump Rally Gunman on Roof Prior to Shooting: Sources

Alocal police officer encountered the suspected gunman at former President Donald Trump’s rally Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania, on a nearby roof before the shooting started — but retreated down a ladder when the gunman pointed a rifle at the officer, law enforcement officials told the Associated Press.

The AP, citing the officials, said rally attendees warned local police after noticing a male climbing to a nearby building’s roof not long before shots rang out.

The outlet said one local police officer climbed to the roof and encountered suspected gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks, who pointed his rifle at the officer — after which the officer retreated down the ladder and Crooks “quickly took a shot toward Trump.” The AP — citing the officials, who spoke to the outlet on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation — said that’s when Secret Service snipers shot the gunman.

Crooks, 20, was shot dead. CBS News, citing multiple law enforcement sources, reported that the gunman was armed with a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle and opened fire from a shed’s roof outside the cordoned-off rally area. Trump — who was seen on video bleeding from his right ear after shots rang out — survived the shooting and was whisked away by Secret Service. . .

Fox News, citing voting records, reported that Crooks was a registered Republican, adding that he only took part in the Nov. 8, 2022, state election due to his age. Reuters — citing a 2021 Federal Election Commission filing — added that Crooks at age 17 made a $15 donation to ActBlue, a “political action committee that raises money for left-leaning and Democratic politicians.” The outlet added that the donation was for the Progressive Turnout Project, a national group that rallies Democrats to vote. Reuters reported that the groups didn’t immediately respond to request for comment. (Read more from “Local Police Officer Encountered Trump Rally Gunman on Roof Prior to Shooting: Sources” HERE)

VIP Trump Rally Guest Captures Terrifying Moments During Assassination Attempt

A special guest invited by former President Donald Trump’s team to his Pennsylvania rally provided the Daily Caller News Foundation videos he took as gunfire erupted in a failed assassination attempt against the GOP’s presumptive nominee.

Benjamin Shrader, who is an event coordinator and CEO of Shrader Promotions LLC, was invited Thursday to Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Shrader provided videos to the DCNF that document the moments when a rally attendee was hit as several rounds were being fired at the crowd.

Shrader said he was given the opportunity to meet with Trump after arriving at the event, snagging a picture with the Republican presidential nominee, noting his “very nice” and happy demeanor, before taking his seat within the VIP section located to the left of the stage. Shots began to ring out round 6:11 p.m. EDT as Trump was addressing those in attendance.

“I was sitting next to, I believe, [the] third row back. So next to the bleachers, but very close to the president. So he gets up, everybody’s cheering, you know, everybody’s talking. He pulls up a chart and then I then I hear it was — and what strikes me is it was quiet. I hear pop, pop, pop, pop and like the sound of darts almost. Or like a cartoon sound, it was very odd,” Shrader told the DCNF.

“So I duck and then I turn and I look behind me. Take in mind most people during this are saying, ‘Oh my god, they let somebody sneak fireworks in.’ People are not freaking out yet. But I turned around and maybe like three to five meters behind me I could not tell if it was a man or a woman, but there was someone with a massive amount of blood and it was spilling,” Shrader continued. “I’ve never seen somebody get shot before, but yeah, it was bad.”

‘Catastrophic Failure’: Secret Service Under Scrutiny After Trump Assassination Attempt

The Secret Service is now under scrutiny after an assassination attempt nearly succeeded on former President Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican 2024 presidential nominee.

The shooter, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was able to position himself on a rooftop with a direct line of sight to Trump and fire a bullet that went through his ear.

The shooter was approximately 150 yards away from where Trump was speaking.

Multiple witnesses also claimed they tried to flag the shooter to the Secret Service and police.

The shooter was so close and visible that even some rally-goers spotted the shooter and took video as he was attempting to assassinate Trump. (Read more from “‘Catastrophic Failure’: Secret Service Under Scrutiny After Trump Assassination Attempt” HERE)

Report: Biden Slightly Favored in 2024 Presidential Election Despite Debate Struggles

In a close analysis of the 2024 presidential election, FiveThirtyEight found that President Joe Biden remains slightly favored to win, despite a widely criticized debate performance. The data, based on simulations of the upcoming election, show Biden winning 50 times out of 100, while former President Donald Trump is predicted to win 49 times out of 100.

Out of 1,000 simulations, Biden came out on top in 505 instances, compared to Trump’s 491. There were four instances where no clear winner emerged, potentially throwing the decision to the House of Representatives.

“It’s 120 days until Election Day, and our model thinks the presidential election could go either way,” FiveThirtyEight stated in a July 8 update. “There is still a small chance of the pure chaos scenario: In 4 simulations, no candidate wins a majority of Electoral College votes.”

This analysis follows Biden’s problematic performance at the June 27 debate against Trump. Biden struggled with a hoarse voice, appeared to freeze, and had difficulty completing his closing statement. The debate has led to growing calls from within his party for Biden to consider stepping aside in favor of another candidate.

Notable Democratic donors, including Reed Hastings, co-founder of Netflix, have urged Biden to withdraw. George Clooney, who recently hosted a fundraiser for Biden, also penned an op-ed expressing doubt about Biden’s ability to win the election.

Meta Removes Restrictions From Trump’s Facebook and Instagram Accounts

Meta announced Friday that it would remove certain restrictions that had been placed on the Facebook and Instagram accounts of former President Donald Trump.

The restrictions were placed on his social media accounts in the wake of the rioting at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 by some Trump supporters who sought to overturn the official results of the presidential election.

Meta had previously allowed Trump access to his accounts in Feb. 2023 but added restrictions that meant he faced “heightened penalties for repeat offenses.” The accounts could have been “suspended for between one month and two years” if he violated their terms of service.

Those restrictions have now been removed.

“In assessing our responsibility to allow political expression, we believe that the American people should be able to hear from the nominees for president on the same basis,” said Nick Clegg, the company’s president of global affairs.

“In reaching this conclusion, we also considered that these penalties were a response to extreme and extraordinary circumstances, and have not had to be deployed,” he added. (Read more from “Meta Removes Restrictions From Trump’s Facebook and Instagram Accounts” HERE)

White House Screened Cabinet Officials’ Questions for Biden During Rare Meetings With Prez: Report

President Biden’s Cabinet members have been emphatic that the commander-in-chief is sharp and probative behind closed doors.

However, the 81-year-old chief executive’s interactions with key members of his administration are actually pre-scripted and carefully choreographed — with aides going over questions and discussion points with Cabinet secretaries ahead of time.

Biden has not convened a meeting of his full Cabinet since Oct. 2, 2023, nine months ago.

“The entire display is kind of an act,” one source told CNN of the closed-door get-togethers. “They would come and say, ‘Hey, the president is going to call on you about 25 minutes in and ask this question. What are the bullet points you’ll respond with?’”

One unidentified Cabinet secretary told the outlet that they were unclear on the status of Biden’s health or cognitive performance because they met with the president so infrequently. Trump’s Ex-Wife Marla Maples Stands by Former President, Ready to Help His Campaign

Marla Maples, Donald Trump’s ex-wife, revealed in a rare interview that she’s willing to help the former president’s 2024 campaign — and is even “open” to being his vice president.

“I’m ready. I am available if needed and I’m not sitting back anymore,” Maples, who just turned 60, told The Evening Standard in her first interview in eight years.

“I want to step out more, share more and not be afraid of positive or negative outcomes that come from speaking out,” she added.

Maples, who shares daughter Tiffany Trump with the former commander in chief, said her willingness to help Trump’s second White House bid has not been affected by her ex-husband’s legal troubles.

She was asked about the lawsuit filed against Trump by writer Jean E. Carroll which resulted in the former president being found liable by a Manhattan federal jury of sex abuse and defamation. ‘They Crave Their Power’: Republicans Who Impeached Trump Call Out Dems for Silence on Biden’s Decline

Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump, and paid a heavy political price, are calling out their Democratic counterparts for refusing to address President Joe Biden’s mental decline in public.

Former congressmen John Katko and Tom Rice told the Daily Caller it’s time for Democrats to put country over party and be honest about Biden. While a handful of Democratic lawmakers have publicly called for Biden to step aside, far more have seemingly told journalists off the record how badly Biden has declined while refusing to take their concerns out into the open.

“Their primary function is doing what’s necessary to get reelected, and not what’s best for the country,” said Rice. “I took an oath to protect the Constitution. Best of one thing, I took an oath to protect and I wasn’t going to violate my oath.”

Now, many Democrats are failing to take a similar stand despite demanding Republicans do so in the past.

“Strong leadership is lonely and tough decisions, especially those against your own party, are even lonelier,” Katko told the Caller. “But at times they are so very necessary. This may be one of those times for many in the Democratic Party regarding President Biden. History is a long time.” (Read more from “‘They Crave Their Power’: Republicans Who Impeached Trump Call Out Dems for Silence on Biden’s Decline” HERE)

Biden Slurs His Way Through Brief NATO Summit Address

White House staff rolled the dice again, wheeling Joe Biden to address the 2024 NATO Summit in Washington D.C. after 4 PM. Biden took the podium around 5:30 after opening statements from outgoing NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. It wasn’t the worst Biden speech by far, but his age did show. It overall was a slurred address to our top European allies, where Biden tried taking credit for things that Trump did to bolster the alliance, specifically pushing more member states to chip in and reach the two percent benchmark toward defense.

Ukraine was a top agenda item, with the president reiterating America’s undying commitment to this war that’s become another quagmire. Biden left Afghanistan, which he felt bogged down American priorities, which might have been an accurate assessment, though to engulf us in this proxy war with a nation that possesses nuclear weapons has become a fool’s errand.
