Here’s Trump’s Shortlist for Vice President — Some Potential Running Mates May Surprise You

Former President Donald Trump acknowledged Tuesday that at least five high-profile Republicans and one former Democrat are on his shortlist for potential running mates in the general election – including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and onetime Democratic presidential primary candidate Tulsi Gabbard.

The GOP presidential front-runner confirmed his shortlist after Fox News host Laura Ingraham rattled off a list of names at a town hall event in Greenville, SC, which she said audience members deemed to be good choices for him to tap for the vice presidency.

The names included Gabbard, DeSantis, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.), biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem.

“Are they all on your shortlist?” Ingraham asked Trump.

To which he responded, “They are.” (Read more from “Here’s Trump’s Shortlist for Vice President — Some Potential Running Mates May Surprise You” HERE)

Tucker Interview Suggests America is No Longer a Democracy and 2024 Will be Stolen Just Like 2020

If you didn’t see Tucker Carlson’s interview last week with Mike Benz, you need to take an hour and watch the whole thing. In a mind-bending narrative about the emergence of what Benz calls “military rule” through an online censorship industry in the U.S., he lays out in startling detail just how corrupt and tyrannical the U.S. defense and foreign policy establishment has become.

Most importantly, Benz, the executive director of the Foundation For Freedom Online, explains how a constellation of federal agencies and publicly funded institutions, under the pretext of countering “misinformation,” rigged the 2020 election and are right now smothering the First Amendment and rigging the 2024 election through massive state-sponsored censorship online. The 2020 election and the Covid-19 pandemic, says Benz, were the “two most censored events in human history.” And 2024 is shaping up to be the same, thanks to the emergence of a federal censorship-industrial complex.

The problem here is profound, with deep historical roots that go back to the aftermath of World War II and the creation of the CIA along with a host of U.S.-funded international institutions. But for our purposes, it suffices to understand the problem in its two most recent stages: the period from 1991 to 2014, and from 2014 to the present.

At the outset of internet privatization in 1991, free speech online was seen as an instrument of statecraft. At that time, says Benz, internet free speech was championed by the U.S. foreign policy and defense establishments as a way to support dissident groups around the world in their efforts to overthrow authoritarian or disfavored regimes. It allowed the U.S. to conduct what Benz calls “insta-regime change operations,” in service of the State Department’s foreign policy agenda.

The plan worked really well. Among other things, free speech on the internet allowed U.S.-backed groups to assert control over state-run media in foreign countries, making it much easier to overthrow governments. The high-water mark of this way of deploying free speech online, Benz explains, was the Arab Spring in 2011 and 2012, when governments the Obama administration considered problematic — Egypt, Tunisia, Libya — all began falling in so-called Facebook and Twitter revolutions. During that time, the State Department worked closely with these social media companies to keep them up and running in those countries, to be used as tools for protesters and dissident groups that were trying to circumvent state censorship. Trump Must Pay Half a Billion Dollars Before He Can Appeal New York Decision

Former President Donald Trump must pay nearly half a billion dollars as a bond to New York State before he can appeal the ruling by Judge Arthur Engoron last week that he must pay $354 million in fines — over $450 million, with interest — for fraud.

Critics have noted that Trump is the only person ever to be sued under an obscure New York fraud statute that does not require any harm be done, and that effectively criminalizes the everyday practice of real estate valuations in negotiations with banks.

Though Attorney General Letitia James — who ran for office promising to target Trump — claimed that no one is above the law, her case against Trump marks the only such case in the history of the state. And the staggering fine is likewise unprecedented.

Jonathan Turley points out another astonishing fact at the New York Post: before he can appeal, Trump must pay the whole fine[.] (Read more from “Trump Must Pay Half a Billion Dollars Before He Can Appeal New York Decision” HERE)

Trump Debuts Own-Brand $399 Shoes at ‘Sneaker Con’

If the shoe fits, wear it. That is the message former president Donald Trump hopes his supporters will heed after he launched an exclusive, signature brand of shoes Saturday at “Sneaker Con,” modestly self-titled as “The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth.”

AP reports the shoes, shiny gold high tops with an American flag detail on the back, are being sold as “Never Surrender High-Tops” for $399 on a new website that also sells other Trump-branded shoes and “Victory47” cologne and perfume for $99 a bottle.

The 2024 hopeful will be the 47th president if elected again.

The website says it has no connection to Trump’s campaign, though Trump campaign officials promoted the appearance in online posts.

The website outlines it is run by CIC Ventures LLC, a company Trump reported owning in his 2023 financial disclosure. The website states the new venture “is not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign,” according to the AP report. Trump Says Alexei Navalny’s Death Made Him ‘More Aware of What Is Happening’ in U.S.

Former President Donald Trump addressed Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s sudden death in a Truth Social post on Monday, saying that it has opened his eyes to “what is happening” in the U.S.

Navalny, a critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, died in a remote Russian prison on Friday after losing consciousness following a walk, according to Russian authorities. Navalny had been sentenced to prison in January 2021 after returning to Moscow from Germany, where he was undergoing treatment for poisoning from a nerve agent that he blamed on the Kremlin. . .

Trump’s statement — which made no mention of Putin — comes days after U.S. leaders, including President Joe Biden, blamed the Russian leader for Navalny’s death.

“Russian authorities are going to tell their own story. But make no mistake, make no mistake, Putin is responsible for Navalny’s death. Putin is responsible,” Biden said in a Friday press conference. “What has happened to Navalny is yet more proof of Putin’s brutality. No one should be fooled — not in Russia, not at home, not anywhere in the world — Putin does not only target citizens of other countries … He also inflicts terrible crimes of his own people.” (Read more from “Trump Says Alexei Navalny’s Death Made Him ‘More Aware of What Is Happening’ in U.S.” HERE)

‘They Will Not Get away With It’: Trump Attorney Unloads After Stunning New York Fraud Verdict

Former President Donald Trump’s attorney Alina Habba slammed Judge Arthur Engoron and New York Attorney General Letitia James on Friday, following a stunning judgment against Trump in a controversial civil fraud case brought by James.

Engoron ordered Trump to pay more than $350 million, barred him from doing business in New York for three years, and fined his sons, Don Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, more than $4 million each.

“I think the biggest message I can give the American people tonight is that he’s not going to get away with it,” Habba said of Engoron on Fox News. “Letitia James is not going to get away with it; the Biden administration is not going to get away with it.”

Now that the trial was over and she felt “free to speak,” Habba made it clear that the legal team will “come at them,” “come hard,” and “will literally fight until the truth comes out.”

“They will not get away with it,” the attorney continued. “President Trump has done nothing wrong. All he has done is win a campaign, and that is scaring them because they know when he goes back in November 2024. He is going to clean house, and that is truly the problem. It’s not about Mar-a-Lago’s worth.” (Read more from “‘They Will Not Get away With It’: Trump Attorney Unloads After Stunning New York Fraud Verdict” HERE)

Nikki Haley Declines Commitment to Support Trump: Tensions Rise Between Candidates

In a recent appearance on ABC’s “This Week,” Republican presidential candidate and former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) stirred controversy by refusing to explicitly commit to supporting former President Donald Trump if he secures the GOP presidential nomination. This development comes as tensions escalate within the Republican party, with Haley openly expressing reservations about Trump’s suitability for office.

During the interview, ABC’s Jonathan Karl confronted Haley with her earlier pledge to support Trump if he won the Republican nomination. However, in light of recent events where Trump made controversial remarks about NATO and Russia, and Haley herself criticized him as “diminished, unhinged, unfit for office,” the commitment seems to be in question.

When pressed about whether she would back Trump if he emerged as the nominee, Haley replied, “I am running against him for a reason.” She emphasized that her focus is on the present race, expressing her belief that Trump is not the right person for the presidency.

Haley continued, stating that her primary concern is winning the nomination and correcting the issues facing America. She downplayed the importance of discussing potential support for Trump at this stage.

Jonathan Karl persisted, seeking clarity on whether Haley would support Trump if he became the Republican nominee. In response, Haley confidently asserted, “That means I’m going to run and I’m going to win. And y’all can talk about support later.”

As the GOP nomination race unfolds, Haley’s reluctance to offer a straightforward endorsement raises questions about the unity within the republican party as a result of its disdain towards Donald Trump.

Fani Willis’ Father Makes Eyebrow-Raising Claim in Defending His Daughter

The father of embattled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis took the stand Friday, testifying that he backs up her story about storing cash at home, listens avidly to conservative talk radio, and knew about COVID-19 well before most other Americans. . .

“Your Honor, I’m not trying to be racist, OK? But it’s a black thing,” John Floyd, Willis’ father and also a lawyer, explained to Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee, the presiding judge. “I was trained, and most black folks hide cash and they keep cash.” . . .

In what turned out to be an unusual exchange, Merchant tried to determine Floyd’s whereabouts in 2019, and whether he might have been aware of his daughter’s relationship with Wade.

“Did you spend any time in 2019 in California?” Merchant asked Floyd.

“I did not. What happened was COVID. Once COVID hit, I was just paralyzed. I couldn’t go anyplace,” Floyd said.

“I may be wrong, but I believe COVID was in 2020. I’m talking about 2020. I was asking about 2019,” Merchant said. (Read more from “Fani Willis’ Father Makes Eyebrow-Raising Claim in Defending His Daughter” HERE)

Allegations of Cash-Fueled Romance Rock Trump Prosecutor Fani Willis: Prosecutor Reimbursed Her Lover Nathan Wade

Fulton County prosecutor Fani Willis is facing serious allegations of reimbursing her lover and fellow Trump case prosecutor, Nathan Wade, with cash for extravagant vacations. The shocking revelation emerged during Wade’s testimony in a Georgia courtroom, where he claimed that expenses for their lavish getaways were initially covered by his business credit card.

The implications of these allegations are substantial, as Judge Scott McAfee expressed on Monday that disqualification from the case is a “possible” outcome if Willis is found to have engaged in an actual conflict of interest with her romantic partner and fellow prosecutor. Such a decision would hand former President Donald Trump a significant victory in the Georgia election interference case.

Trump, along with codefendant Mike Roman, has accused Willis and Wade of corruption on multiple fronts, according to Breitbart News:

Trump and codefendant Mike Roman accused Willis and Wade of corruption for:

1. Maintaining an improper romantic relationship

2. Enriching themselves through the taxpayer-funded prosecution

3. Meeting with Biden administration officials before indicting Trump and codefendants

Thursday’s revelations during Wade’s testimony seem to lend credibility to the accusations against Willis and contradict her previous claims. Wade disclosed that his relationship with Willis began in 2022, after Willis initiated the case against Trump in 2021. However, a former Fulton County District Attorney employee and friend of Willis, Robin Yeartie, contradicted Wade’s timeline, asserting that she was aware of their relationship since 2019.

Wade claimed that their relationship wasn’t a secret but rather “private.”

Trump Slams AG Letitia James and Judge Engoron After Civil Fraud Ruling, Vows Appeal

Former President Donald Trump has lashed out at Democratic Attorney General Letitia James of New York and Judge Arthur Engoron following the recent ruling in his civil fraud trial. The lawsuit, filed by James in September 2022, accused Trump of inflating real estate values to secure loans. Judge Engoron’s decision ordered Trump to pay $354 million and imposed a three-year ban on him serving as an officer or director of any New York corporation.

Speaking to reporters outside Mar-a-Lago, Trump declared his intention to appeal the ruling, while strongly criticizing the legal proceedings. He asserted that the case was part of a larger political agenda, likening it to tactics employed by Russia and China. Trump vehemently denied any fraud, emphasizing that banks received full repayment and portrayed him as a valued customer.

In his remarks, Trump extended his criticism to Letitia James, labeling her a “horribly corrupt attorney general.” He suggested that the case was driven by a political agenda related to election interference. Trump argued that the absence of victims, given the banks’ financial gains, negates the need for such legal actions. He also highlighted his substantial tax contributions, while characterizing the legal pursuit as an effort by radical left Democrats to interfere in elections [via Daily Caller]:

“We’ll be appealing,” Trump said to reporters outside Mar-a-Lago. “But, more important than that, this is Russia, this is China, this is the same game, all comes out of the DOJ. It all comes out of Biden. It’s witch-hunt against his political opponent, the likes of which our country has never seen before, you see it in third world countries, banana republics, but you don’t see it here.”

“So I just want to say this: You build a great company. There was no fraud. The banks all got their money, 100 percent. They love Trump. They testified that Trump is great, great customer, one of our best customers. They testified beautifully, and the judge knows that. He is just a corrupt person and we knew that from the beginning. We knew it right from the beginning because he wouldn’t give it to the commercial division.”

. . .

“Letitia James, that’s another case altogether. She is a horribly corrupt attorney general and it’s all having to do with election interference,” Trump said. “There were no victims because the banks made a lot of money, they made $100 million. And by the way, I paid approximately $300 million in taxes as the migrants come in and they take over New York, I paid over this period of years over $300 million in taxes and they want me out, oh, let’s see if we can get him out. These are radical left Democrats, they are lunatics and it’s election interfering.”
