Did Letitia James’ Case Against Trump’s Business Empire Just Completely Fall Apart?

Documents and testimony from former President Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial this week may undermine New York Attorney General Letitia James’ case against him.

The bank James alleges Trump defrauded was eager to land him as a client over a decade ago, according to documents presented Wednesday during his civil fraud trial and reported by The Associated Press, and a 17 -year employee of the bank testified Tuesday that the adjustments the bank made to his net worth were not unusual. Judge Engoron ruled in September in the lawsuit brought by James that Trump defrauded banks and insurance companies by inflating his net worth and overvaluing assets.

After then-managing director of Deutsche Bank, Rosemary Vrablic, met with Donald Trump Jr., she wrote in a November 2011 email to colleagues that they were “whale hunting” — a term Vrablic explained Wednesday refers to a very wealthy client, according to the AP.

Trump’s legal team introduced emails and documents Wednesday that detailed the bank’s interest in cultivating a relationship with Trump.

The bank’s projected revenue from business with Trump increased from $13,000 in 2011 to an estimated $6 million in 2013, a document that was introduced during the trial showed, according to The Hill. Judge Denies Trump Motion to Subpoena for Missing J6 Records

Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is presiding over Special Counsel Jack Smith’s case against former President Donald Trump for 2020 election interference, this week denied a motion by the former president to seek materials he said the House Committee investigating January 6, 2021, had not turned over to the National Archives.

On Monday, Chutkan rejected Trump’s motion, accusing him of going on a “fishing expedition.”

“The broad scope of the records that Defendant seeks, and his vague description of their potential relevance, resemble less ‘a good faith effort to obtain identified evidence’ than they do a general ‘fishing expedition’ that attempts to use the [Rule 17(c) subpoena] as a discovery device,’” she wrote in her denial.

Trump last month sought to subpoena seven individuals, including then-committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight Chairman Barry Loudermilk (R-GA), who said he did not receive all the records, as well as other government officials over what his legal team called “missing materials.”

Loudermilk had said in a letter in June that only written transcripts from the committee were transferred to the U.S. archives after it dissolved and that video recordings and transcribed interviews and depositions were not.

Trump Gains ‘Largest Lead’ of His Career as 2024 Rematch Looms

Former President Donald Trump has been leading the ever-shrinking field of 2024 Republican presidential hopefuls, and a new national primary election poll from Morning Consult has the 45th president leading the pack by a whopping 50 points as 2023 enters its final weeks and the first early state primary contests approach.

Conducted November 24 to 26, the survey showed Trump earning support from 64 percent of Republican primary voters, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with 14 percent, former Ambassador Nikki Haley with 10 percent, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy with 6 percent, and former Governor Chris Christie with 3 percent.

Trump’s already significant lead could grow, according to Morning Consult, because 29 percent — a “plurality of non-Trump supporters” — listed the former president as their second choice for 2024. “Such voters make up roughly 10% of the GOP’s expected electorate, suggesting that the former president’s support could continue to grow if lower-polling contenders drop their bids.”

After the primaries, Trump faces another general election battle against Joe Biden, a contest in which his prospects look bright at present with the biggest advantage in the RealClearPolitics polling average of his career. LOL: BLM Leader Endorses Trump (VIDEO)

Black Lives Matter Rhode Island leader Mark Fisher said Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends” that he was endorsing former President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential race.

Fisher said, “I think personally it’s the duplicity of the Democrats, the hypocrisy. We are not stupid. The brothers are not stupid. We understand when someone is for us and when someone is not. It’s obvious that the Democratic Party is not for us. Their policies actually strike at the heart of the black family and nuclear family.” (Read more from “LOL: BLM Leader Mark Fisher Endorses Trump” HERE)

Trump Judge Rules on His Request to Subpoena Jan. 6 Committee Records

The federal judge overseeing former President Donald Trump’s 2020 election case rejected his request Monday to subpoena records relating to the Jan. 6 House Select Committee.

Trump asked in October to issue subpoenas to retrieve “certain missing records and uncover information about their disposition.” District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan, an Obama appointee, wrote in a seven-page order that Trump “fails to meet his burden” in justifying his need for the records, likening his request to a “fishing expedition.”

“Defendant does not state with any specificity the information that he seeks in those records, repeating only that it is important and related to the events and people associated with the Select Committee’s work and therefore the January 6, 2021 attack,” Chutkan wrote. “The broad scope of the records that Defendant seeks, and his vague description of their potential relevance, resemble less ‘a good faith effort to obtain identified evidence’ than they do ‘a general ‘fishing expedition.'” (Read more from “Trump Judge Rules on His Request to Subpoena Jan. 6 Committee Records” HERE)

Mitt Romney Says He Would Vote for Democrat Over Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy

Sen. Mitt Romney said he would vote for a Democrat over former President Trump or businessman Vivek Ramaswamy in a potential 2024 general election matchup.

“I’d be happy to support virtually any one of the Republicans, maybe not Vivek, but the others that are running would be acceptable to me and I’d be happy to vote for them,” Romney said to CBS news host Norah O’Donnell in a clip which resurfaced online Saturday.

“I’d be happy to vote for a number of the Democrats too. I mean, it would be an upgrade from, in my opinion, from Donald Trump and perhaps also from Joe Biden,” Romney added, without specifying which Democrats he had in mind.

The remarks were originally aired a month ago as part of a lengthy discussion between Romney and O’Donnell on a new book about the senator. (Read more from “Mitt Romney Says He Would Vote for Democrat Over Trump, Vivek Ramaswamy” HERE)

Trump Extends Thanksgiving Wishes, Expresses Gratitude, and Forecasts a Brighter Future in Holiday Message

In a Thanksgiving morning video message shared on his Truth Social account and later posted on the Trump War Room Twitter account, former President Donald Trump conveyed warm wishes to all Americans, expressed gratitude to God, and promised a brighter future. In the video, Trump extended his Thanksgiving greetings, emphasizing the importance of giving thanks for the blessings bestowed by Almighty God, including families, friends, neighbors, and the remarkable country that is home to all.

Trump took a moment to express his deep appreciation for the service members of the U.S. Armed Forces, border patrol, law enforcement, ICE, and other patriots working diligently to preserve the nation’s system and defend its southern border. Acknowledging the challenges the country faces, he urged Americans not to lose hope, assuring them that by the next Thanksgiving in 2024, the nation would be well on its way to becoming “stronger, safer, more prosperous, and greater than ever before.”

The former president’s optimistic message comes at a time when he continues to dominate the Republican primary field, according to recent polling data. A survey by Emerson College Polling indicated Trump’s strong lead with 64 percent support in the primary field nationally, while a Harvard-Harris poll showed him approaching 70 percent backing. Trump’s popularity extends beyond the primary race, as both polls indicated him holding an advantage over President Joe Biden in potential matchups.

As Trump remains a prominent figure in the political landscape, his Thanksgiving message reflects not only a message of holiday cheer but also a glimpse into his ongoing influence and aspirations for the nation’s future.

Says She Heard It’s A ‘Possibility’ Tucker Carlson Could Be Trump’s VP Selection

A New York Times reporter said Monday she heard that former President Donald Trump could pick Tucker Carlson as his running mate for the 2024 election.

Political correspondent Maggie Haberman said during an interview on the Dispatch podcast that Trump was planning to assemble loyalists for a potential administration should he win the upcoming presidential election. Podcast host Jamie Weinstein then asked her about the rumors that Trump could pick Carlson, a co-founder of the Daily Caller and Daily Caller News Foundation, as his running mate.

“It’s a real thing that I am hearing as a possibility,” Haberman responded. “The likelihood of it, I don’t know. I think there will be a pretty professionalized vetting process, honestly. I know that might sound unbelievable based on what we’ve seen from Trump historically, but Trump’s current political team is the best — at least as a non-incumbent — that he’s had, and there’s just a different level of control.”

Carlson’s show with Fox News amassed huge ratings before the network announced his departure on April 24. After his departure, the ratings for the replacement show, “Fox News at Night,” declined until the network announced that Jesse Watters would move his show from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. to replace Carlson’s show. On Biden’s Birthday, Trump’s Doctor Issues a Bill of Good Health

Dr. Bruce Aronwald, a physician for Donald Trump, released a statement Monday afternoon about the former president’s current state of health.

“I have been President Donald J. Trump’s personal physician since 2021. During this time, I have conducted several comprehensive examinations, the most recent being September 13, 2023, and have supervised specialist consultations along with ancillary testing for screening and preventative health maintenance,” Aronwald said. “I am please to report that President Trump’s overall health is excellent. His physical exams were well within the normal range and his cognitive exams were exceptional. In addition, his most recent extensive laboratory analysis remains well within normal limits and was more favorable than prior testing in some of the most significant parameters, most likely secondary to weigh reduction.”

“Cardiovascular studies are all normal and cancer screening tests are all negative. President Trump has reduced his weight through an improved diet and continued daily physical activity, while maintaining a rigorous schedule,” he continued. “It is my opinion that President Trump is currently in excellent health, and with his continued interest in preventative health monitoring and maintenance, he will continue to enjoy a health active lifestyle for years to come.”

The statement was released on the same day President Joe Biden is celebrating his 81st birthday and as major questions swirl about his ability to run for a second term in the White House. (Read more from “On Biden’s Birthday, Trump’s Doctor Issues a Bill of Good Health” HERE)

Trump Gains Momentum: Concerns Mount for Biden’s 2024 Reelection Prospects

A year ahead of the 2024 presidential election, a recent poll conducted by EPIC-MRA of Lansing has illuminated a challenging landscape for President Joe Biden in Michigan. The survey reveals that former President Donald Trump is leading among likely voters by a margin of 46% to 41%, adding weight to a series of polls indicating Trump’s resurgence in key swing states. The New York Times/Siena College poll released earlier this month showed a similar trend, with Trump leading Biden head-to-head in Michigan at 48% to 43%.

Michigan, often considered the most Democratic-leaning among the industrial swing states that include Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, now poses a significant concern for Democrats. If Biden finds himself trailing Trump in a state that has historically favored the Democratic Party, it raises red flags about his overall reelection prospects.

EPIC-MRA pollster Bernie Porn has sounded a cautionary note for Democrats, emphasizing the growing possibility that Donald Trump could secure another term in the White House. Porn pointed to a notable erosion in support for Biden since the firm’s last poll in August when the President held a slim 46% to 45% lead over Trump.

“I think it’s his (Biden’s) age and comparative perceptions of him versus Trump,” Porn stated. “People are dismissing the Bidenomics approach — they’re not impressed with that messaging … It could well be very difficult for Biden to do the things needed to recover.”

The concern extends beyond mere numerical data, delving into the realm of public perception and policy messaging. There seems to be a palpable disconnect with the Bidenomics approach, and the President’s ability to resonate with voters is increasingly questioned. The dynamics of this potential political shift underscore the challenges faced by the Biden administration in navigating a complex political landscape.
