Trump Lawyer: Angry Judge Was ‘Unhinged’ in Courtroom, ‘Slamming a Table’ (VIDEO)

Alina Habba, a lawyer for former President Donald Trump in his New York civil case, ripped Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron as “unhinged” and said he slammed a table in court on Monday during Trump’s testimony.

Habba contended to reporters during a lunch break that Engoron “has already predetermined that my client committed fraud before we even walked into this courtroom” before quoting the justice’s remarks from earlier in the day when he was unsatisfied with Trump’s answers on the witness stand. She also took a shot at New York Attorney General Letitia James, who brought the case against Trump and his two eldest sons.

“‘I’m not here to hear what he has to say,’” she quoted Engoron as saying.

“Then why exactly am I being paid as an attorney, and why exactly are taxpayer dollars being used in this courtroom?” she said to reporters.

“The answer is very clear: because Miss James wants to stand right here like she did this morning and call my client a liar, call the company fraudulent and make a name for herself,” Habba added from the courthouse steps. Donald Trump Pulls Out Paper During Testimony at NYC Civil Fraud Trial, Says It’ll Clear His Name

Donald Trump randomly pulled a piece of paper out of his suit jacket during testimony in Manhattan court Monday — claiming it would completely clear his name in the $250 million civil fraud case against him and asking to show it to the judge.

The former president, 77, was apparently requesting to show both the judge and a prosecutor a disclaimer clause from a financial statement that New York Attorney General Letitia James has accused him of lying on in her lawsuit.

As he testified at trial in the suit, Trump held the document up and asked if the judge would “like to have it.”

Later, the real estate tycoon said: “I would love to read this, Your Honor, if I could?”

“Not at this point, not at this point,” replied Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron — who is deciding the non-jury case that threatens Trump’s New York real estate empire. Former Donald Trump Appointee Sentenced to 70 Months for Role in Jan. 6 Attack

A former Trump administration official was sentenced to nearly six years in prison Friday for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol in 2021.

Federico Klein, who served as a political appointee in the State Department, was arrested in March 2021 and convicted of multiple felonies and misdemeanor offenses in federal court.

He was sentenced to 70 months in prison. Prosecutors had sought 10 years and highlighted messages that suggested Mr. Klein joined the melee in the lower west tunnel of the Capitol because he wanted to continue his service to former President Donald Trump, according to NBC News.

The government also pointed to evidence that he used a stolen riot police shield in the violence and, during the fight, told officers, “You can’t stop this.”

Mr. Klein is among more than 1,000 people who’ve been arrested in connection with the assault on the Capitol, in which a pro-Trump mob stormed the building while congressional lawmakers were trying to certify President Biden’s election win. Trump’s Gag Order in DC Election Interference Case Paused

The gag order in former President Donald Trump’s case in Washington, D.C., involving his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election has been paused by a federal appeals court.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit issued a stay on the gag order pending an appeal, with the court also setting an expedited appeal schedule. The pause is simply an administrative stay while the court deliberates the merits of the gag order before deciding whether to leave it in place or remove it.

The gag order was reimposed on Oct. 29 after being paused during a prior appeal in response to when it was initially imposed on Oct. 17. The order prohibited parties in the case from “making any public statements, or directing others to make any public statements, that target” Smith or his staff, defense attorneys or their staff, court staff, and “any reasonably foreseeable witness or the substance of their testimony.”

Trump’s lawyer’s brief arguing against the gag order will be due by 5 p.m. on Nov. 8, followed by the Justice Department’s brief in favor of the gag order being due by 5 p.m. on Nov. 14, and a reply by Trump’s lawyers is due by noon on Nov. 17. Eric Trump Rails Against Fraud Trial, Calls It ‘Waste of Taxpayer Money’ After Testimony Ends

Eric Trump on Friday railed on the $250 million civil fraud case against his family after concluding testimony at the Manhattan trial — where he showed up in nearly identical clothes for two days in a row.

Trump, 39, testified for roughly four and a half hours spread over Thursday and Friday, when he appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court in what appeared to be the same navy suit, light blue tie, white dress shirt, brown oxford shoes and even the same printed light blue socks.

Outside the courtroom afterward, Trump blasted New York Attorney General Letitia James — who is prosecuting the case — and the judge deciding it, echoing claims by his dad, former President Donald Trump, that the trial is a political witch hunt.

“This is a big charade that is a huge waste of taxpayer money and it’s the very reason everyone’s moving out of New York state, and I was actually one of them,” Trump told a gaggle of reporters.

Donald Trump Jr. Cracks Jokes, Draws Courtroom Laughter During 75-Minute Testimony at $250M Fraud Trial

Donald Trump Jr. took the witness stand in a Manhattan courtroom Wednesday to defend himself in the $250 million civil fraud trial that threatens his dad’s real estate empire — firing off several jokes as he denied working on the financial statements that are key to the case. . .

“I did not,” the former president’s eldest child said when asked if he had ever worked on his father’s “statement of financial condition” – documents that James alleges Trump falsified from 2011 through 2017 by pumping up his net worth to the tune of billions per year.

“The accountants worked on it, that’s what we pay them for,” Don Jr. said. . .

During the testimony — which lasted for roughly 75 minutes Wednesday and featured James observing from the front row — Don Jr. joked that he has “no understanding” of accounting lingo.

Trump Jr.: This 2024 Presidential Candidate Is a ‘Democrat Plant’

By WND. . .According to NBC News, Donald Trump Jr., son of former President Donald Trump, told supporters in Iowa on Thursday that the independent presidential campaign of longtime Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr. appears calculated to undermine the Trump cause.

“It legitimately always felt like it was a Democrat plant to hurt the Trump thing,” Trump Jr. said. “He wouldn’t be there if the Democrats didn’t want him.” . . .

Meanwhile, according to The Hill, another Republican challenger has depicted Kennedy as a legitimate threat to Trump.

Trump Jr. Calls RFK Jr. A ‘Democrat Plant’

By The Hill. The Democratic establishment essentially ignored Kennedy’s long-shot primary bid against President Biden. Now, early polls show Kennedy may actually pull more voters from Trump than Biden in a three-man race, turning a former primary opponent into a boon for the incumbent.

Kennedy centered his campaign on a rejection of the two-party system, distrust in government and skepticism of COVID-19, including the COVID vaccine.

Those positions could appeal to voters who otherwise would vote for Trump, political analysts have argued. . .

But Trump Jr. disagrees, pointing to Kennedy’s more liberal stances on immigration and gun control, among other issues.

Jack Smith Quietly Withdraws From a Trump Investigation

Special Counsel Jack Smith has quietly withdrawn a subpoena seeking records from former President Trump’s 2020 campaign as their investigation of whether his campaign committed any crimes continues.

This week, more than a year into their investigation, Smith’s office dropped the subpoena request from Trump’s campaign following the withdrawal of a similar subpoena to Save America, the PAC formed by Trump’s aides. . .

The rescinding of the subpoenas to Donald J. Trump for President Inc. and Save America indicated that Smith’s office was slowing or even ending its months-long investigation into whether Trump’s political operation violated any laws by using election fraud claims to raise funds. The retraction of the subpoena for Save America was first reported by The Washington Post last week. Smith’s team has been attempting to find out, for more than a year, whether Trump and his advisers violated federal wire fraud statutes in their fund-raising, following a path initially followed by the House select committee investigating the events of January 6, 2021.

Trump: U.S. Is ‘More Vulnerable From Inside Terror Attacks Than at Any Time in Its History’

The United States is “more vulnerable from inside terror attacks than at any time in its history,” former President Donald Trump said on Tuesday following a memo from the San Diego Field Office Intelligence Division of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) warning that members of terrorist groups — namely Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) — could be encountered at the porous southern border.

“With the millions of people that Crooked Joe Biden has allowed into the United States through his ridiculous Open Borders Policy, mostly young men, and large numbers of TERRORISTS, the U.S. is more vulnerable from inside terror attacks than at any time in its history, BY FAR!” Trump exclaimed on Truth Social, ending with, “MAGA.”

Trump’s proclamation comes weeks after the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas attacked Israel, murdering at least 1,400 individuals. Trump Thanks Former Rival for Surprising 2024 Endorsement

Former President Donald Trump, no stranger to attacking political rivals with derisive nicknames, thanked former Republican presidential candidate Perry Johnson for his endorsement in the 2024 primary race this week.

Johnson ended his long-shot campaign on Friday in a lengthy statement in which he cited “corruption among leaders at the RNC” as “appalling.” The Michigan businessman often polled at 0%, didn’t qualify for the first two GOP primary debates, and was not on track to meet the qualifications for next month’s debate in Miami.

Yet on Monday, Johnson announced he was endorsing Trump, claiming, “There is now only one candidate in this race who can provide a solution to our nation’s economic, foreign policy and social crises, and most importantly, beat Joe Biden at the ballot box.”

Johnson also referenced his support of Trump’s first two presidential campaigns in 2016 and 2020 in his endorsement. “During President Trump’s first term, our nation saw historic peace agreements, no new wars, an economic revival, and forged a new path forward away from corrupt, establishment career politicians,” Johnson said. “I supported President Trump in 2016 and 2020, and am proud to offer him my full endorsement once again as he seeks the Republican nomination for President in 2024.” (Read more from “Trump Thanks Former Rival for Surprising 2024 Endorsement” HERE)
