Donald Trump Cancels Press Conference on Georgia Election Fraud Claims, Citing Attorneys’ Advice

Former President Donald Trump now says he won’t be holding a press conference next week to unveil what he claims is new evidence of fraud in the 2020 election in Georgia, citing the advice of lawyers.

No compelling evidence of the wide-scale fraud Trump alleges has emerged in the two-and-a-half years since the election. Republican officials in the state – where three recounts confirmed Trump’s loss to President Joe Biden – have long said he lost legitimately.

“Rather than releasing the Report on the Rigged & Stolen Georgia 2020 Presidential Election on Monday, my lawyers would prefer putting this, I believe, Irrefutable & Overwhelming evidence of Election Fraud & Irregularities in formal Legal Filings as we fight to dismiss this disgraceful Indictment,” he wrote on his social media site Thursday evening. He added, “Therefore, the News Conference is no longer necessary!” (Read more from “Donald Trump Cancels Press Conference on Georgia Election Fraud Claims, Citing Attorneys’ Advice” HERE)

Trump on Georgia Indictment: Continuation of a Witch Hunt (VIDEO)

Former President Donald Trump said Thursday on Fox Business Network’s “Kudlow” that the Georgia indictment and others are all part of the same “witch hunt.”

Anchor Larry Kudlow said, “We’re here to talk about the economy, what’s gone wrong and how you can fix it, but I do think you should have a chance to talk about this crazy Georgia indictment. I know you gave an interview with Fox Digital. It was a good interview. You said you saw darkness, but you also seem to see some optimism in the potential outcome. I thought we just see what you had to say about that.”

Trump said, “Sure. It’s a witch-hunt. It is just a continuation of a witch-hunt. They want to silence you, really silence you. And they mean silence.” (Read more from “Trump on Georgia Indictment: Continuation of a Witch Hunt (VIDEO)” HERE)

If Saying an Election Is Stolen Is a Crime, Why Isn’t Stacey Abrams in Prison?

The fourth and latest round of indictments against former President Donald Trump suggests that constitutionally protected actions such as questioning election results, asking for phone numbers, and encouraging voters to watch TV are now indictment-worthy acts of conspiracy. If claiming an election is stolen is truly a crime, as prosecutors and grand jurors in Trump’s Georgia case suggested on Monday, failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams should be behind bars.

Abrams lost the race for governor in Georgia in 2018 to then-Secretary of State Brian Kemp by 1.4 percentage points. Due to the small margin of victory, Abrams refused to formally concede her loss because she believed the election was “tainted” which led to the “disinvestment and disenfranchisement of thousands of voters.”

In her “non-concession speech,” the Democrat admitted that Kemp “will be certified as the victor in the 2018 gubernatorial election” but stopped short of officially agreeing that she lost.

“To be clear, this is not a speech of concession. Concession means to acknowledge an action is right, true, or proper. As a woman of conscience and faith, I cannot concede,” Abrams said. (Read more from “If Saying an Election Is Stolen Is a Crime, Why Isn’t Stacey Abrams in Prison?” HERE)

How Stupid Is the Georgia Anti-Trump Case? They Indicted Trump for Tweeting at People to Watch TV

By The Federalist. A local prosecutor in Georgia has become Democrats’ latest instrument of election interference, unveiling a fourth round of indictments against former President Donald Trump Monday night that cites activities like encouraging voters to tune into televised broadcasts. . .

With 13 additional counts from Georgia prosecutors over objections to the 2020 presidential election, Trump is now faced with 91 charges as he leads the race for next year’s Republican nomination. Those now facing charges along with the former president include Trump’s last White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and attorney Rudy Giuliani. . .

“Meadows sent a text message to United States Representative Scott Perry from Pennsylvania and stated, ‘can you send me the number for the speaker and the leader of PA Legislature. POTUS wants to chat with them,’” the indictment reads. “This was an overt act in furtherance of the conspiracy.”

Act 22 cited in the Georgia indictment charged Trump with conspiracy for encouraging supporters to watch hearings broadcast on One America News Network.

“Georgia hearings now on [One America News Network]. Amazing!” the president tweeted.

“This was an overt act in furtherance of the conspiracy,” the indictment read. (Read more from “How Stupid Is the Georgia Anti-Trump Case? They Indicted Trump for Tweeting at People to Watch TV” HERE)

Special Prosecutor to Be Named to Probe State’s Lieutenant Governor’s Actions in Trump Case

By Fox News. A special prosecutor will be chosen to investigate Georgia Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, a Republican, in connection with former President Trump’s alleged illegal efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election in the state.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis announced a 98-page indictment Monday night accusing Trump and 18 others of attempting to change the election results in his favor. Among the others indicted were former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows and former members of Trump’s legal team Jenna Ellis and Sidney Powell.

The former president was indicted on 13 counts, including Solicitation of Violation of Oath by a Public Officer, Conspiracy to Commit Impersonating a Public Officer, Conspiracy to Commit Forgery in the First Degree, Conspiracy to Commit False Statements and Writings, Conspiracy to Commit Filing False Documents, Conspiracy to Commit Forgery in the First Degree and Filing False Documents.

Jones, who was not listed in the indictment, was one of the 16 so-called fake electors who falsely claimed Trump won Georgia and attempted to conduct a secret meeting at the State Capitol on December 14, 2020, in an effort to overturn President Biden’s victory in the Peach State. Three of the 16 electors were indicted on allegations of forgery, false statements and impersonating a public officer, among other crimes. DeSantis: I Fired Soros Prosecutors, Trump Let Hillary off the Hook, Kept Wray, and ‘The Swamp Got Worse’ (VIDEO)

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Ingraham Angle,” 2024 Republican presidential candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis stated that the question in the wake of the indictments of his 2024 rival, former President Donald Trump is how we’ll respond and end weaponized government. DeSantis said that while he has removed Soros-backed prosecutors in Florida, Trump “had three years to fire Christopher Wray” and didn’t, let former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “off the hook.” And “The swamp got worse in his four years.”

Host Laura Ingraham asked, “So, if I’m you, how do I convince the GOP voters that while these indictments are obviously political lawfare, I guess you could call it, that you’re still the one who’s most electable? How do you make that argument?”

DeSantis answered, “Well, because I think going forward, the question really is, what are we going to do about all this, Laura? And what we need to do is get a president, obviously, who can beat Biden, but that could actually end the weaponization of federal power through the DOJ [and] the FBI. So, for example, with me as president, on day one, Christopher Wray gets sent packing. You’re going to see the DOJ cleared out. We are going to ensure a single standard of justice in this country again. And I can say that with credibility because I’ve done that in the State of Florida. We’ve drained the swamp in here. We’ve gotten rid of negligent election supervisors in South Florida. We’ve removed two different progressive prosecutors funded by Soros who were not enforcing the law. So, I’ve shown an ability to take action and get the job done. And, as the president, I am going to do the same thing.” (Read more from “DeSantis: I Fired Soros Prosecutors, Trump Let Hillary off the Hook, Kept Wray, and ‘The Swamp Got Worse’” HERE)

Trump Faces Packed Schedule of Court Dates for 6 Potential Trials Before Election Day 2024

Former President Donald Trump could face six trials — four criminal and two civil — before Election Day in November 2024, putting the frontrunner for the Republican nomination in a situation unlike any before faced by a major-party candidate in modern times.

Trump, 77, was indicted Monday by a grand jury in Atlanta on 13 counts under Georgia state law for attempting to reverse his narrow loss to President Biden in the 2020 election.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, an elected Democrat, said Monday that she’s seeking “a trial date within the next six months” — putting potential trial dates smack in the middle of Trump’s likely rematch against Biden.

Trump’s other legal woes include a pair of federal cases brought by special counsel Jack Smith, including a Miami case featuring 40 charges against the former president related to his alleged mishandling of classified records and a DC case on four counts relating to his efforts to reverse his 2020 election loss.

Trump additionally faces a trial in Manhattan on 34 counts under Democratic District Attorney Alvin Bragg that alleges Trump criminally falsified business records when he paid hush money to women claiming affairs during the 2016 election. Top FBI Official Involved in ‘Russiagate’ Investigation Pleads Guilty to Conspiracy to Aid Russian Oligarch (VIDEO)

A former FBI official who played a key role in the “Russiagate” investigation into former President Donald Trump pled guilty on Tuesday to conspiracy to provide illegal services to a sanctioned Russian oligarch, according to a press release from the U.S. Southern District of New York Attorney’s Office.

Charles McGonigal, a former special agent and chief of counterintelligence at the FBI’s New York field office, pled guilty to money laundering and conspiring to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), in connection to services provided to Oleg Deripaska, a sanctioned Russian oligarch, according to the release issued Tuesday. McGonigal was a key player in spearheading the “Crossfire Hurricane” probe – informally referred to as “Russiagate” – in 2016, which was the investigation into the Trump campaign’s alleged ties to Russia, the New York Post reported.

“Charles McGonigal, by his own admission, betrayed his oath and actively concealed his illicit work at the bidding of a sanctioned Russian oligarch,” assistant attorney general of the Justice Department’s National Security Division, Matthew G. Olsen, said, according to the release. “Today’s plea shows the Department of Justice’s resolve to pursue and dismantle the illegal networks that Russian oligarchs use to try to escape the reach of our sanctions and evade our laws.”

McGonigal was one of the first FBI agents involved in the Crossfire Hurricane operation, which would ultimately become a 22-month and $32 million probe that found no evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia, according to the New York Post. McGonigal was also involved in a “classified defensive briefing” given to the lawyers of failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2015; the briefing was later called a “clear double standard by the Department of Justice,” by Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham in 2020. (Read more from “Top FBI Official Involved in ‘Russiagate’ Investigation Pleads Guilty to Conspiracy to Aid Russian Oligarch (VIDEO)” HERE)

Georgia’s Elected Republicans on Trump Indictment: We Told You, No Fraud

Georgia’s leading elected state officials, who are Republicans, reacted Tuesday to Monday’s late-night indictment of former President Donald Trump and 18 other lawyers, aides, and supporters by reiterating that there was no voter fraud in 2020.

Gov. Brian Kemp (R) posted a tweet in response to a Truth Social post by the former president. Kemp did not object to the indictment — which critics have said violates constitutional norms and criminalizes free speech — but to Trump’s 2020 claims.

Secretary of State Brad Raffesnperger, whose infamous phone conversation with Trump (in which the former president said “I just want to find” the votes to win, not “Find me the votes”) helped trigger the grand jury investigation, made a statement: “The most basic principles of a strong democracy are accountability and respect for the Constitution and rule of law. You either have it, or you don’t.”

Donald Trump and 18 Co-Defendants Indicted on 41 Charges

A grand jury in Georgia returned ten indictments on Monday in Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s investigation into former President Donald Trump.

CNN: Trump Lawyers Received ‘Written Invitation’ to Inspect GA Voting Machines

CNN reported Sunday that lawyers for the 2020 presidential campaign of President Donald Trump received a “written invitation” to inspect voting machines and software in Georgia’s Coffee County — though that is not how CNN’s headline portrayed it.

In the CNN story, Trump is described as being implicated in a “voting system breach,” implying that he had personally hacked into voting systems, or that his campaign had done so. But the “breach” happened after the election, and appeared authorized.

CNN’s lead story on Sunday is titled: “Messages show Trump’s team behind voting system breach.” The article itself connects the “breach” with an imminent indictment of Trump that is expected in Georgia’s Fulton County over 2020 election challenges.

The article’s first paragraph drops the hint that the “breach” occurred in Georgia, not nationwide; and that it was not prior to the 2020 election, or the 2024 election, but rather in the aftermath of the 2020 election, when questions arose about potential fraud.
