By Breitbart. Former President Donald Trump warned a crowd during a speech following his arraignment on Tuesday that the “communists” going after him “will not hesitate to ramp up their persecution” of everyday Americans if they successfully put him in prison.

“We have a nation in serious decline. If the communists get away with this, it won’t stop with me,” Trump said.

“They will not hesitate to ramp up their persecution of Christians, pro-life activists, parents attending school board meetings, and even future Republican candidates — which they do. We must end it permanently, and we must end it immediately…The seal is broken by what they’ve done. They should have never have done this,” he continued.

Trump’s warning about increased persecution against Christians, pro-life activists, and parents attending school board meetings comes after President Joe Biden’s administration has been caught repeatedly framing these groups as “extremist,” dangerous, and even potential domestic terrorism threats (see here, here, and here).

Trump made the remarks during a speech in Bedminster, New Jersey, following his arraignment in Miami, where he faces 37 federal charges relating to allegations he mishandled classified documents found at his Mar-a-Lago resort. Special counsel Jack Smith charged Trump and the former president’s aid Walt Nauta last week.

Trump: ‘No Coincidence’ DOJ Indicted Me ‘Same Day’ FBI Turns Over Doc Alleging Biden Bribery Scheme

By Breitbart. Former President Donald Trump highlighted Tuesday his indictment came the same day House Republicans reviewed a document that is alleged to tie then-Vice President Joe Biden to a $5 million bribery scheme.

Trump spoke at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club following his arraignment at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on 37 federal counts relating to the documents case. He pointed to the FD-1023 document that Republicans on the House Oversight Committee obtained and reviewed on Thursday that allegedly links Biden to a bribery scheme involving Ukrainian energy company Burisma.

“It’s also no coincidence these charges against me came down the very same day evidence revealed Joe Biden took a $5 million bribe from Ukraine,” he said.

Tucker Carlson: Trump’s Sins ‘Are Minor Compared to Those of His Persecutors’ (VIDEO)

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson blasted the indictment of former President Trump and accused President Biden of persecuting his top political enemy.

“Whatever else you say about him, Trump is the one guy who actually has a shot at becoming president who descends from Washington’s longstanding pointless war agenda,” Carlson said in the latest version of his “Tucker on Twitter” show. “And for that, that one fact, they are trying to take Trump out before you can vote for him.”

Carlson called Trump “a flawed man” but said “his sins are minor compared to those of his persecutors.”

The pundit’s embrace of Trump comes more than month after he was ousted from his prime-time show on Fox, a move the network made less than a week after it agreed to pay hundreds of millions of dollars in a settlement with Dominion Voting Systems over false claims Trump and his allies made on the network’s air about its software.

As part of Dominion’s process of discovery in the blockbuster lawsuit, text messages Carlson sent to colleagues around the time of the 2020 election showed the then-top prime-time host privately bemoaning Trump and the headaches he was causing for the network with its viewers as the former president refused to concede defeat and floated unfounded theories about voter fraud. Left in Hysterics, Warning That the Country Will “Fall Apart” When Trump Reelected

“I now have to acknowledge that it is a distinct possibility that Donald Trump could be elected president – I did not believe that one year ago,” Luntz told Bourke. In the interview, published Monday, Luntz argued that Trump’s domestic opponents and the way the court cases against him have been handled have dealt Trump back in and given him a real shot at winning another general election.

“I did not believe that the search of Mar-a-Lago would be handled so badly, I did not believe that the indictment of him in New York would be handled so badly,” Luntz argued, adding:

I did not believe that his opponents would be so inept as to actually strengthen him and the combination of all of those makes him now viable, not just in the Republican primary but in the general election.

Luntz then explained to Bourke that Trump’s positioning in the 2024 race is an existential threat to U.S. democracy and even went so far as to quantify the odds of the U.S. breaking apart. . .

“Everything that I would have [previously] said to you was impossible is actually happening,” Luntz told Bourke at one point referring back to his interview in October 2021, in which he said, “He will not win. Trump Prosecutor Donated to Obama, Biden, Democrats

Karen E. Gilbert, one of the lead prosecutors in Special Counsel Jack E. Smith’s attempt to convict former President Donald Trump of mishandling White House documents, is also a past campaign donor to Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and the Democratic National Committee, according to the Federal Elections Commission (FEC).

Gilbert’s past political donations were flagged Tuesday by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who demanded answers in a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, as well as a full roster of the staff working for the special counsel.

The issue was also highlighted by Trump supporters on social media as the former president was arraigned in Miami:

FEC records suggest that Gilbert, who is listed as a Department of Justice employee based in Florida, donated $1,000 to Biden and $250 to the Biden Action Fund in the 2019-20 cycle; $500 to the Democratic National Committee in 2013; $800 to Obama during the 2011-12 election cycle; and $1250 to Obama in 2007-08. Trump Suggests That FBI Planted Classified Material Into Evidence They Took During Raid

Former President Donald Trump responded to the federal indictment unsealed on Friday by suggesting that federal agents “stuffed” classified material into evidence that they collected from Mar-a-Lago after they raided the property last year.

A federal grand jury in the Southern District of Florida indicted the president on 37 felony counts for his alleged retention of national defense information, his alleged attempts to obstruct the investigation, and for allegedly lying to investigators.

“When the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago, they wouldn’t let my lawyers or representatives anywhere near them,” Trump wrote on social media. “They wouldn’t tell us what they took. Knowing them, and based on past performance, they probably later ‘stuffed’ in other documents. My lawyers had to wait outside, on a very hot day. The FBI took my medical records, birth certificate, and passports, and just about anything else they were able to get their hands on. What a group! They didn’t do this to Crooked Joe Biden or Hillary.”

GOP Rep.: President Biden Wants to Give Trump ‘Death Sentence for Documents’

According to Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC), President Joe Biden wants to give former President Donald Trump a “death sentence” over the accusations that he mishandled classified documents.

During an appearance on “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo, Mace criticized the “two-tiered system of justice” where she argues other politicians, including Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and former Vice President Mike Pence, are held to different standards than Trump.

“Every time the Oversight Committee has evidence of corruption, bribery, money laundering on the Biden family, they indict Donald Trump,” Mace said. “Joe Biden wants to give Donald Trump a death sentence for documents. He’s facing hundreds of years for mishandling documents, and they want him to die in jail.”

“Most of America sees this for what it is: It’s weaponizing the executive branch to take out your political enemies.”

Mace then referenced Clinton, who she said is “bragging” about the “two-tiered system of justice” and even raising money from it after promoting a “But Her Emails” hat on Twitter. Mace also criticized Biden and Pence for their handling of classified documents.

Poll: Post Indictment, Trump Widens Lead Again – Now Has Over 60 Percent Support

A poll indicates that former President Donald Trump has widened his lead in the GOP primary following the Department of Justice’s indictment of him for allegedly mishandling classified documents at his Florida home.

Surveying 1,798 potential voters between June 9-10 with a margin of error ±3.3 points, the CBS News poll showed the former president had 61 percent support in the Republican primary, leading his opponent, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis by a full 38 points – 61 percent to 23 percent. Republican Sen. Tim Scott (SC) stands in third place with just 4 percent of support, just one point ahead of former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley.

Regarding the indictment, a plurality of those polled expressed concern that the former president had been targeted for political reasons, not for legal reasons. Per CBS News:

Republican primary voters say they’re far more concerned that Donald Trump’s indictment is politically motivated than his alleged conduct being a national security risk – and there’s no evidence it’s hurt his status as the clear front-runner for the 2024 nomination, at least not yet. He remains well ahead of rivals in both consideration and vote choice.

Liberal News Host Melts Down After Guest Points Out Hypocrisy in Trump Indictment; See Trump’s Newest Ad

. . .ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos flipped out after former Trump attorney Jim Trusty pointed out the hypocrisy in the politically motivated indictment against the 45th president, pointing out that President Joe Biden also had several classified documents in his possession.

Trusty was asked if he believes in the idea that “no person is above the law” before asking whether he agrees Trump should be charged.

In response, the attorney agreed with the principle that no one should be above the law, adding, “You’ve got these investigations in Delaware that are 1,000 times more serious by a sitting president who has authorized his DOJ [Department of Justice] to try to sink the candidacy of his prime opposition while that guy has unsecured documents that he stole out of a skiff dozens of years ago. Look, we’re not talking –”

Stephanopoulos interjected, calling his comments ridiculous.

Trump Could Face 400 Years in Prison if Convicted on All Federal Charges

Former President Donald Trump could be sentenced to 400 years in prison if he is convicted on all charges and the maximum sentences are imposed consecutively, though a likelier penalty would be for five to twenty years.

Trump was charged with 37 counts, and co-defendant Waltine Nauta was sentenced to six counts. . .

Trump faces counts 1 through 37; Nauta faces counts 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, and 38. That means Trump faces a potential sentence of 400 years, while Nauta faces a potential sentence of 90 years, though it is unlikely that a judge would impose these sentences to run consecutively. GOP Lawmakers Blast Biden for ‘Weaponization’ of DOJ After Trump Federal Indictment

Republican lawmakers blasted President Biden over the “weaponization” of the federal government after it was revealed Thursday night the Justice Department charged former President Donald Trump over his handling of classified documents.

Trump’s most formidable opponent in the 2024 GOP presidential primary, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, even decried the unprecedented indictment that marks the first time in US history a former president has faced federal charges.

“The weaponization of federal law enforcement represents a mortal threat to a free society,” DeSantis wrote on Twitter.

“We have for years witnessed an uneven application of the law depending upon political affiliation. Why so zealous in pursuing Trump yet so passive about Hillary or Hunter?” the Florida governor wrote.

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy said it was a “dark day” for the country and noted that Trump’s being charged over the classified material found in his Mar-a-Lago estate — even though Biden has been under a similar investigation after classified documents were recovered at his Delaware home.
