Donald Trump Dominates Turning Point Action’s GOP Primary Straw Poll at 87.5%

Attendees at a major conservative conference over the weekend overwhelmingly voted for former President Donald Trump in a Republican presidential primary straw poll.

According to the Trafalgar Group poll, attendees at the Turning Point Action Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida, chose Trump at 87.5% among Republican candidates and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis at only 4.3%.

DeSantis actually came in third behind businessman Perry Johnson, who garnered 7.8%, despite the conference happening in the governor’s state.

About 3,000 attendees responded to the poll, half of the approximate 6,000 total attendees. Half of the attendees were between the ages of 18-21, while the other half were of varying ages.

Trump attended the event on Saturday, delivering a lengthy speech that covered a number of different topics. Meanwhile, DeSantis did not attend the event in his home state. (Read more from “Donald Trump Dominates Turning Point Action’s GOP Primary Straw Poll at 87.5%” HERE)

Trump to Host Screening of Anti-Child-Trafficking Film ‘Sound of Freedom’ at His Resort

Former President Donald Trump plans to host a screening of the massively successful anti-child-trafficking film “Sound of Freedom” at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, next week.

The film’s producer, Eduardo Verástegui, will join Trump at the July 19 screening along with star Jim Caviezel and Tim Ballard, the former Department of Homeland Security agent whose dogged pursuit of child traffickers is the subject of the film.

Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller announced the screening on Steve Bannon’s show “War Room,” noting that “evangelical allies,” Bedminster members, and people from all around the country will be joining the former president to watch the film.

Trump’s team emphasized in a corresponding statement that the former president takes the matters raised in the film deadly seriously, having “signed an executive order directing federal law enforcement to prioritize demolishing the criminal organizations behind forced labor, sex trafficking, and child exploitation[,] … signed nine pieces of bipartisan legislation to combat human trafficking, both domestically and internationally, approved the largest DOJ grant package in history to combat human trafficking, and doubled the amount of DOJ funding to combat human trafficking.” (Read more from “Trump to Host Screening of Anti-Child-Trafficking Film ‘Sound of Freedom’ at His Resort” HERE)

Trump Lays Blame on Chris Christie for Hiring of Christopher Wray as FBI Director

Former President Donald Trump blamed former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for appointing Christopher Wray as FBI director.

In an excerpt from an interview of Trump with Fox News host Maria Bartiromo that will air on Sunday, Trump admitted that it was a mistake hiring the FBI director but clarified that he only did so on the strong urging of Christie.

“Yeah, sadly. It probably was,” Trump answered when asked if hiring Wray was a mistake. “It was recommended very strongly by Chris Christie, who was, you know, a sad case. I mean, I watch him. He’s a sad case.” . . .

“Well, I know. And you know how he’s doing. He’s at 1%, and he probably won’t even make the debate stage. Now, Chris is a … he’s sad. I mean, I watched him the other day. He said I built 47 miles of wall. I’ve built over 500 miles of wall. And that’s homeland security statements. I had the safest border in the history of our country. I built massive miles of wall and was going to put up another 200 miles. Everything was built. They just had to erect [it],” Trump continued. Poll: Most Republicans Say Donald Trump Is the ‘Strongest Candidate’

Most Republicans believe former President Donald Trump is the “strongest candidate” for the party in 2024, the latest survey from the Economist/YouGov found.

The survey, taken July 8-11, 2023, asked respondents, “Do you think that Donald Trump is the strongest candidate that Republicans could nominate for president in 2024?”

Most Republicans, 55 percent, expressed the belief that Trump is, indeed, the strongest candidate the GOP could nominate for president in the upcoming presidential election. Another 30 percent said he is not, and 15 percent remained unsure.

Notably, the results from this week’s survey represent a one-point increase from the 54 percent of Republicans who said, “Yes,” Trump is the strongest candidate, in May.

That coincides with over half of Republicans, 52 percent, who choose Trump as their candidate of choice in the crowded 2024 presidential field. That figure drops to 48 percent among registered Republicans and independents who lean Republican. Even so, Trump is still 26 points ahead of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who garnered 22 percent support in this particular survey among registered Republicans and independents who lean Republican.

DeSantis Rejects Idea of Being Trump’s VP if Trump Wins Primary

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said this week that he is not interested in running as vice president on a presidential ticket with former President Donald Trump – if Trump were to win the 2024 Republican Party nomination.

DeSantis made the remarks on Tuesday during an appearance on the “Wisconsin Right Now” podcast when asked about the idea.

“I’m not a No. 2 guy,” DeSantis said during a podcast this week. “I think I’m a leader. Governor of Florida, I’ve been able to accomplish a lot. I think I probably could do more staying there than being V.P., which doesn’t really have any authority.”

The governor’s remarks come about a month and a half before the first Republican Party presidential debate is set to kick off.

So far, the top two leading candidates on the Republican side are Trump and DeSantis with former Vice President Mike Pence, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, and Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) trailing in the single digits. There are several other candidates polling in the low single digits. Donald Trump Blasts More Ukraine Aid: ‘Joe Biden Should Not Be Dragging Us Further Toward World War III’

“Joe Biden should not be dragging us further toward World War III,” former President Donald Trump said in a statement released Tuesday, calling to “immediately end the bloodshed in Ukraine” and for a return “to a focus on America’s vital interest.”

Trump reacted to the Biden administration’s recent decision to send cluster munitions to Ukraine, despite President Joe Biden admitting that “we’re low on [them].” . . .

Trump, however, believes it is a mistake, asserting that Biden is essentially “dragging us further toward World War III by sending cluster munitions to Ukraine.”

Trump warned:

He should be trying to END the war and stop the horrific death and destruction being caused by an incompetent administration. These unexploded cluster munitions will be killing and maiming innocent Ukrainian men, women, and children for decades to come, long after the war—we pray—has ended.

Poll: Trump Holds 20 Point Lead Over Desantis in Florida

Former President Donald Trump holds a 20-point lead over Gov. Ron DeSantis in Florida, polling from the Florida Atlantic University Mainstreet PolCom Lab found.

Half of GOP primary voters in the Sunshine State, 50 percent, support Trump in the crowded Republican primary field. DeSantis comes in a distant second, garnering 30 percent support in the Florida primary.

Tim Scott garnered just three percent support, followed by former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, and former Vice President Mike Pence, all of whom garnered two percent support each. (Read more from “Poll: Trump Holds 20 Point Lead Over Desantis in Florida” HERE)

Fox News Retracts Fake News Hit Piece on Donald Trump

Fox News retracted a hit piece against former President Donald Trump and admitted they “inaccurately attributed” an anti-Trump quote to former Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price.

Fox News’s story had the following headline: “Former Trump Cabinet member tells him to ‘kiss’ his ‘butt.”

The since-retracted, purportedly exclusive story read, in part:

EXCLUSIVE: Former Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price told Fox News Digital there’s “no way” he will support former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential bid.

When asked whether he will endorse Trump, Price said, “After he fired me? No way.” “The only thing that guy has more of than fake tan is narcissism,” Price said in an emailed statement to Fox New Digital. “He can kiss my big medical butt.”

White House Cocaine Scandal Cover-Up: Despite Extensive Surveillance Systems, “Culprit Will Never be Caught”; Trump’s Security Tapes Would ‘Quickly’ Find Cocaine Smuggler; Had to be Biden Family Member

By Politico. Law enforcement officials confirmed on Wednesday that cocaine was found at the White House over the weekend.

But one official familiar with the investigation cautioned that the source of the drug was unlikely to be determined given that it was discovered in a highly trafficked area of the West Wing.

Asked what the chances were of finding the culprit, the official said that “it’s gonna be very difficult for us to do that because of where it was.”

“Even if there were surveillance cameras, unless you were waving it around, it may not have been caught” by the cameras, added the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity given that it’s an ongoing investigation. “It’s a bit of a thoroughfare. People walk by there all the time.” (Read more from “Press Already Covering for White House Cocaine Scandal: Despite Extensive Surveillance Systems, “Culprit Will Never Be Caught” HERE)

Donald Trump: Security Tapes Would ‘Quickly’ Find White House Cocaine Smuggler

By Breitbart. Former President Donald Trump said the security tapes would “quickly” reveal who smuggled cocaine into President Joe Biden’s White House after the drug was reportedly found in the West Wing.

Over the weekend, a substance was found inside the White House that reportedly tested positive for cocaine. . .

In response, Trump predicted the “Fake News Media” will downplay the substance’s finding.

“Does anybody really believe that the COCAINE found in the West Wing of the White House, very close to the Oval Office, is for the use of anyone other than Hunter & Joe Biden,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “But watch, the Fake News Media will soon start saying that the amount found was “very small,” & it wasn’t really COCAINE, but rather common ground up Aspirin, & the story will vanish.” . . .

“Has Deranged Jack Smith, the crazy, Trump hating Special Prosecutor, been seen in the area of the COCAINE?” Trump asked. “He looks like a crackhead to me!” (Read more from “Donald Trump: Security Tapes Would ‘Quickly’ Find White House Cocaine Smuggler” HERE)

‘Zero Chance Anyone Other Than A Family Member Brought That Cocaine Inside The White House’: Former Secret Service Agent

By Dave Malyon. Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino expressed his opinion on Twitter, stating, “There’s absolutely ZERO chance anyone other than a family member brought that cocaine inside the White House complex.

“No chance that would make it past the mag/security checkpoints. Family bypasses those.”

When asked for the White House’s official stance on the matter, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre confirmed that President Biden was informed and emphasized that the area where the cocaine was discovered is heavily trafficked by visitors.

She also stated that all White House staff would be tested if necessary, indicating a commitment to identifying any individuals involved.

As Knewz reported previously, the substance, found in a zip-close bag, was located near an entrance where visitors are required to leave their phones. The latter, however, conflicts with the earlier reports that the sachet of white powder was found in the White House library. (Read more from this story HERE)
