Trump Imposes 10 Percent Global Tariff After Supreme Court Struck Down Emergency Powers Tariffs

President Donald Trump announced he is imposing a ten percent global tariff on top of tariffs already in place after the Supreme Court struck down his duties imposed under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).

Trump’s announcement came during a press briefing the White House scheduled on short notice after the 6-3 ruling against the IEEPA tariffs, in which Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Neil Gorsuch, and Justice Amy Coney Barrett sided with liberal judges to rule against the president.

The 10 percent global tariff Trump is imposing on Friday is not under IEEPA but under Section 122 of the Trade Act of 1974, which Justice Brett Kavanaugh emphasized is another vehicle for imposing tariffs in his dissenting opinion.

“Effective immediately, all national security tariffs under Section 232, and existing Section 301, tariffs… remain in place, fully in place, and in full force and effect,” Trump said.

“Today, I will sign an order to impose a 10 percent global tariff under Section 122, over and above our normal tariffs already being charged, and we’re also initiating several Section 301 and other investigations to protect our country from unfair trading practices of other countries and companies,” he added.

Senator Who Helped Lisa Murkowski Win With Fraud Is Now Blocking President Trump’s Vote Integrity Bill

Senator Mitch McConnell appears to be stalling the voting bill backed by President Trump, and fellow Republicans are not happy.

McConnell, who leads the Senate Rules Committee, is refusing to schedule a vote on the legislation, thus preventing it from moving forward. The bill would create barriers for voting, requiring specific forms of ID in order for Americans to exercise their constitutional right.

In blocking it, the retiring senator and former majority leader has drawn the ire of his colleagues. Representative Tim Burchett posted a video on X Friday saying McConnell’s actions are partially coming from a place of “meanness” because he doesn’t like Trump, and called his mental acuity into question.

“He’s blocking the SAVE Act, or is he? Is it him or a staff member, because as you know, he’s a lot like Joe Biden was in his last few days in office, or last years in office,” Burchett said. “His cognizant level is diminishing daily.”

Burchett went on a tangent about how much of Congress is run by staffers because certain aging members of Congress have diminishing mental capacity, citing the case of Representative Kay Granger, the former House Appropriations Committee chair who disappeared for months in 2024 and was later found to be living in an independent living facility. Trump Says He Deserves the Congressional Medal of Honor for His 2018 Visit to Iraq: ‘I Was Extremely Brave’

President Donald Trump wanted to give himself the Congressional Medal of Honor, he revealed.

The president, 79, appeared in Rome, Ga., on Thursday, Feb. 19, where he recalled his December 2018 surprise visit to U.S. troops at Al Asad Air Force Base in Iraq’s Anbar province.

“I decided to go to Iraq. I was extremely brave. So brave in fact that I wanted to give myself the Congressional Medal of Honor,” Trump told the Georgia crowd, per footage published by ABC News 4. “I said to my people, ‘Am I allowed to give myself the Congressional Medal of Honor?’”

He acknowledged that the honor has been given to “so many guys that are seriously brave.”

“I mean, they come in and their arms are missing, their legs are missing. Their stories are so unbelievable. And I said that’s a little stretch if I gave myself one,” he said. Tehran Draws Red Line on Missiles, Experts Say, as Trump’s Ultimatum Looms

President Trump said in June he would decide “within the next two weeks” whether to strike Iran. He made the decision two days later.

On Thursday, he gave Tehran another deadline, saying the Islamic Republic has 10 to 15 days to come to the negotiating table or face consequences.

The compressed timeline now sits at the center of a new round of high-stakes nuclear diplomacy. But with Trump, deadlines can serve as both a warning and a weapon.

Jason Brodsky, policy director at United Against Nuclear Iran, told Fox News Digital, “The Iranian regime has been operating under a grand delusion that they can turn President Trump into President Obama, and President Trump has made it clear that that’s not happening.”

Brodsky said there is little expectation inside the administration that diplomacy will produce a breakthrough. (Read more from “Tehran Draws Red Line on Missiles, Experts Say, as Trump’s Ultimatum Looms” HERE)

Distraction? Trump Pledges to Release the Alien Files: ‘Extremely Interesting’

President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he will be releasing all government files related to UFOs and aliens.

The president issued his announcement via his Truth Social account on Thursday.

“Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters,” Trump wrote.

The president issued his announcement after he chastised former President Barack Obama for saying aliens are real, which he later walked back.

“He gave classified information, he’s not supposed to be doing that,” Trump said. “I don’t know if they’re real or not, but I can tell you he gave classified information. He made a big mistake. He took it out of classified information. No, I don’t have an opinion on it. I never talk about it. A lot of people do. A lot of people believe it.” (Read more from “Distraction? UK Blocks Trump From Using RAF Bases for Strikes on Iran — and He Is Already Retaliating

The UK is blocking President Trump from using its military air bases for a possible attack on Iran — because the lefty government believes such strikes could violate international law and doesn’t want Britain implicated, according to a new report.

Trump has already hit back by slamming the UK prime minister’s plan to resolve a long-running dispute over a strategically crucial chain of islands in the Indian Ocean.

The White House is drawing up plans for a possible military strike on Iran that involves the use of the Royal Air Force base Fairford in England — which is a forward operating base for America’s heavy bombers, the Times reported.

Trump reportedly spoke with Prime Minister Keir Starmer about the plans Tuesday night, and UK officials were worried that giving the US permission to use the RAF bases for a military attack could breach international law, according to the Times.

Trump made a direct reference to the UK base in Diego Garcia — part of the Chagos Islands in the Indian Ocean nearly 6,000 miles from Britain — plus RAF Fairford. (Read more from “UK Blocks Trump From Using RAF Bases for Strikes on Iran — and He Is Already Retaliating” HERE)

Trump ‘Identifies Timeline for Strike on Iran’ as World’s Largest Aircraft Carrier Heads to the Middle East

Donald Trump could make a decision on military strikes in Iran soon, with the US military ready to potentially launch an attack by this weekend.

American military assets have been building up in the Middle East in recent days ahead of a possible strike, CNN reported.

‘He is spending a lot of time thinking about this,’ a source told the network, adding that Trump has found himself arguing both in favor of and against the military action.

Trump has also spent the recent days taking informal polls of his aides and military advisors over what to do, but it remains unclear when the president will make the final call. . .

Earlier Wednesday, it was revealed the president is on the verge of greenlighting a ‘massive, weeks-long’ military campaign against Iran that would be seen as all out war. ‘You’re Going to See More Defections’: Thomas Massie’s Ominous Prediction for the GOP

Rep. Thomas Massie has gone toe-to-toe with the president of the United States, the speaker of the House and the attorney general in just the last few months. And he says there’s more to come. . .

Massie was the sole Republican to spar with Attorney General Pam Bondi at a combative congressional hearing last week, but he said for now, he won’t pursue efforts to hold her in contempt for not fully releasing the files.

“I don’t think it’s necessary to proverbially pull a knife right now in this argument because we’re winning it,” he said. “When the attorney general is reduced to a stack of pre-prepared insults to deliver, and when the DOJ is responding to my every tweet with additional unredactions, I don’t think I’m going to change what I’m doing just yet.”

Massie also joined several other Republicans recently to buck President Donald Trump and Speaker Mike Johnson on legislation that would block some Trump tariffs. And he had an ominous prediction for GOP leadership in the coming months.

“On any given day, I would just need one or two of my own co-conspirators to get something done,” he said. “I think you’re going to see more defections.” (Read more from “‘You’re Going to See More Defections’: Thomas Massie’s Ominous Prediction for the GOP” HERE)

Damning Report Torpedoes Trump’s ‘Central Defense’ About Epstein Ties

A new report on Sunday torpedoed one of President Donald Trump’s “central defenses” about his ties to convicted sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump has often claimed that he has never been credibly accused of wrongdoing over the course of his relationship with Epstein. He has also claimed that he never knew of Epstein’s crimes, even though the recently released Epstein files include a transcript of Trump calling a local police station and telling them about “creepy” Epstein.

But a new report undermines both of those claims. Investigative political reporter Roger Sollenberger reported on Sunday that Trump was credibly accused of abusing at least two young girls, citing court records and an internal FBI slideshow that was released in the latest tranche of Epstein files. . .

The report also mentions that Trump was at least partially aware of Epstein’s crimes because of information provided by a witness who helped secure a conviction against Epstein’s accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.
