Jim Jordan Wants to Know Why DOJ Hasn’t Appointed a Special Counsel for Hunter Biden

While U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland has appointed special counsels to probe the handling of classified documents by President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, he has not appointed one to handle investigations of Hunter Biden — and that has House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) curious.

So, to get some answers with his power as chairman of the powerful Judiciary Committee, Jordan sent a letter to AG Garland on Tuesday looking to get his hands on some documents to better understand the situation and conduct oversight of Biden’s Department of Justice.

“The Department’s investigation of Hunter Biden, son of President Biden, raises the appearance of a conflict of interest that would necessitate special counsel protections and authorities,” Chairman Jordan notes in his letter to Garland. “However, to date, you have declined to appoint a special counsel in this matter, despite appointing special counsels in other investigations.”

As noted, there’s a special counsel to investigate Joe Biden’s sticky fingers when it came to classified documents from his time as vice president and a U.S. senator — so why not a special counsel to investigate his son?

Poll: Surging Donald Trump Leads DeSantis in Head-To-Head, Grows Advantage Over Larger Field

Former President Donald Trump leads Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in a hypothetical head-to-head Republican primary match-up after a 12-point swing his way in only three weeks, according to a poll.

The Yahoo/YouGov poll released Tuesday shows 47 percent of Republicans would vote for Trump in the head-to-head primary with DeSantis. The Florida governor sits eight points behind with 39 percent of support and 13 percent undecided.

In a YouGov poll conducted between February 2-6, DeSantis led Trump at 45 percent to 41 percent, respectively. The change marks a net 12-point swing to Trump in 21 days, as the current survey is from February 23-27.

Trump also dramatically expanded his lead over a larger primary field in that time. In a scenario with eight other candidates offered to participants, the 45th president took 45 percent of the response in the latest poll, giving him a double-digit lead over DeSantis at 29 percent. He has widened his lead by 14 points compared to the previous survey when he and DeSantis were at 37 percent and 35 percent, respectively, with seven other candidates as options.

Navy SEAL who killed Bin Laden Says Ukraine is all about War Profits; Trump Weighs in on Nordstream Pipeline Terrorism

Navy SEAL Hero Goes Off on US Aid to Ukraine

Trump Shocks Glenn Beck… Dares to Speak the Truth About Nordstream 2…

By Revolver. President Trump did not mince words in a recent no-holds-barred discussion with radio host Glenn Beck. In a particularly memorable moment, Trump offered a fully candid analysis of who may have destroyed the Nordstream 2 pipeline, a critical piece of infrastructure designed to allow energy to flow from Russia into Europe (particularly Germany).

Recall that Trump’s remarks come on the heels of a remarkable (yet unsubstantiated) report by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersch suggesting that the US is directly responsible for blowing up this critical piece of Russian and German infrastructure[.] (Read more from “Trump Shocks Glenn Beck… Dares to Speak the Truth About Nordstream 2…” HERE)

Biden Says ‘I May Be a White Boy, but I’m Not Stupid’ at Black History Month Event

President Biden told a White House audience “I may be a white boy, but I’m not stupid” in a cringeworthy attempt at self-deprecating humor during an event celebrating Black History Month.

The 80-year-old president made the bizarre remark moments after joking that House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who is black, no longer talks to him.

“I may be a white boy, but I’m not stupid. I know where the power is … you think I’m joking. I learned a long time ago about the Divine Nine,” Biden said, referring to a group of African-American sororities.

Jeffries “is here in spite of the fact that when he ran the first time I campaigned for him,” the president added before shouting out Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Steven Horsford (D-Nev.).

“I campaigned for him too. You know what this means is, they don’t talk to me any more,” Biden said. “I’m only kidding.” (Read more from “Biden Says ‘I May Be a White Boy, but I’m Not Stupid’ at Black History Month Event” HERE)

Iranian IRGC Commander Confirms: ‘We Are Looking To Kill Trump’

Amirali Hajizadeh, commander of aerospace forces for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), boasted on Friday that his forces have developed a new cruise missile with a range of over 1,000 miles.

Hajizadeh suggested the missile would be useful in the IRGC’s ongoing quest to kill former U.S. President Donald Trump and his Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, for ordering the liquidation of Iranian terrorist mastermind Gen. Qassem Soleimani in 2020.

“Our cruise missile with a range of 1,650 km has been added to the missile arsenal of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Hajizadeh said in a broadcast on Iranian state television that showed off the new Paveh missile.

“Within the next one or two years, we will have big leaps and the waves [of new weapons] will turn into tsunamis,” he promised.

Iran has a history of making grandiose claims about its military capability that cannot be verified independently. In November 2022, the Pentagon said it was “skeptical” of Hajizadeh’s boasts that the IRGC has developed a hypersonic missile. Trump Attorneys Warn Of Improper Relationship In ‘Compromised’ Georgia Election Probe (VIDEO)

Former President Donald Trump‘s lawyers say the 2020 election inquiry in Georgia has become jeopardized, raising the question of whether the investigating district attorney’s team should be removed from the case.

Attorneys Drew Findling and Jennifer Little appeared for an interview with CBS News after the leader of an Atlanta-based special grand jury stirred controversy with a media tour. But the outspoken special grand jury forewoman, Emily Kohrs, isn’t the problem so much as the entire inquiry, they argued to reporter Robert Costa.

“This 30-year-old foreperson to us has actually provided us a lens and made us aware that every suspicion we had as to this questionable process was, in fact, a reality,” Little said in the interview that aired Sunday on “Face the Nation.”

Little declared they have “lost 100% confidence” in the investigation into whether Trump and his allies illegally interfered in the last presidential contest. “We feel this process has been compromised,” Little added.

Behind the Scenes with Trump in East Palestine: ‘You Are Not Forgotten’

Former President Donald Trump delivered a positive and hopeful message to residents of the small Ohio town grappling with the aftermath of a train derailment that spilled toxic chemicals into the environment. “You are not forgotten,” he told the East Palestine community on Wednesday.

Breitbart News accompanied Trump on his trip to East Palestine, where the 45th president delivered truckloads of pallets of bottled water to the town’s residents, who are worried about the water quality in the area as a result of the recent train disaster.

It was a cold, rainy Wednesday afternoon in Northeast Ohio, but that didn’t stop President Trump from visiting East Palestine. . .

East Palestine City Park reverberated with chants of “Trump 24!” and “We love Trump!” while the former president visited a creek, where he spoke with Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH), and East Palestine mayor Trent R. Conaway.

President Trump also took time to greet a crowd of supporters, who could be heard exclaiming, “I love you!” and “Thank you for coming, Mr. Trump!” (Read more from “Behind the Scenes with Trump in East Palestine: ‘You Are Not Forgotten’” HERE)

Grand Jury Forewoman in Trump Case Goes on Bizarre Media Tour, Panicking Left

The forewoman of the Georgia grand jury investigating former President Donald Trump has appeared repeatedly on television, laughing about the investigation and apparently hinting at what the jury has decided before any indictments have been handed down, a move progressives fear could derail any possible criminal case against Trump.

Emily Kohrs revealed her identity on Tuesday and has done interviews with The Associated Press, The New York Times, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, MSNBC and CNN about her experience on the jury, which met between May and January to discuss Trump’s alleged interference in the 2020 election.

Kohrs — the only juror to come forward — told the Journal-Constitution that she felt “amazement at the media attention she had received over the last several hours.”

Kohrs laughed when CNN asked her how many people the jury recommended for indictment.

“I’m hesitant to speak to something that the judge made a decision not to share … The sections [of the grand jury report] that were removed were consciously chosen to be removed, and I don’t want to say ‘I have better judgment than the judge,’” Kohrs said while smiling and rolling her eyes. Trump Will Visit Ohio Town Impacted by Train Crash

Former President Donald Trump is slated to visit East Palestine, Ohio, on Wednesday as the small rust belt town is grappled by a train derailment and subsequent chemical fallout.

Local and state authorities previously evacuated all residents within one mile of the February 3 derailment and started a controlled burn of industrial chemicals on the vehicle to decrease the risk of an explosion, which could have sent shrapnel throughout the small town. Vinyl chloride, a known human carcinogen used to manufacture PVC, was emitted from five train cars in the form of massive plumes of dark smoke, prompting concerns about air and water quality for the millions of people who live in the Ohio River Basin.

As Trump continues his third bid for the White House, he is expected to draw attention to President Joe Biden’s relative silence on the disaster and the minimal attention publicly paid to the crisis by senior administration officials. The highest-ranking Biden staffer to visit East Palestine has so far been EPA Administrator Michael Regan, who canceled a climate change mission to Africa he was scheduled to lead alongside celebrity couple Idris and Sabrina Elba as his agency addresses the fallout, which has produced worrisome health concerns for humans and livestock.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, the former Democratic presidential contender whose tenure at the agency has been marked by a number of infrastructure issues, has yet to visit the small town and did not publicly address the crisis for more than a week after it occurred. He nevertheless appeared at the National Association of Counties Conference to comment on matters such as racial equity in the construction sector. On Monday, Buttigieg said he would visit East Palestine “when the time is right.”

Biden himself made an appearance in Kyiv, Ukraine, on Monday as his administration supplies the war-torn nation with more than $113 billion amid the invasion from Russia. The Federal Emergency Management Agency, also known as FEMA, meanwhile granted a request for aid to East Palestine only after Trump revealed his plans to visit the small town of 4,700 residents, a note that the former commander-in-chief sounded on social media. Pathetic! Papa Pete Blames Trump for East Palestine Disaster

CLAIM: U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg is blaming former President Donald Trump for the train disaster in East Palestine, Ohio, claiming, “we’re constrained by law on some areas of rail regulation,” and citing a “braking rule” that was withdrawn under the Trump administration.

VERDICT: False.

While it is true that in 2018 the Department of Transportation (DOT) withdrew a proposed rule requiring trains carrying certain dangerous chemicals to use electronically controlled pneumatic (ECP) brakes, this rule would not have applied to the train that derailed in East Palestine on February 3.

In addressing the train derailment on Tuesday, Buttigieg claimed, “We’re constrained by law on some areas of rail regulation,” and cited “the braking rule withdrawn by the Trump administration in 2018 because of a law passed by Congress in 2015.” (Read more from “Pathetic!
