Grand Jury Indicts Trump Organization

By Townhall. On Wednesday night, The New York Times reported, “Trump Organization and Top Executive Are Indicted in Tax Investigation.” The executive in question is Allen Weisselberg, the organization’s Chief Financial Officer. The charges are “not immediately clear,” because the indictment has not been unsealed. It is expected to be once Weisselberg and lawyers appear in court, which is expected to be tomorrow.

Nevertheless, there is some speculation. From The Times:

But prosecutors in the Manhattan district attorney’s office have been examining bonuses and luxury perks that Mr. Weisselberg received — including an apartment in Manhattan, leased Mercedes-Benz cars and private school tuition for at least one of his grandchildren — and whether taxes should have been paid on those benefits.

The indictment is a major development in the investigation led by the district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance, Jr., who has been conducting a sweeping inquiry into Mr. Trump and his business dealings along with the New York State attorney general, Letitia James.

Trump Org, CFO Indicted by New York Grand Jury: Reports

By The Hill. . .Two people told the Post that Weisselberg is expected to surrender Thursday morning, and later that day, he’s expected to be arraigned in front of a state court judge. The Trump Organization is also expected to be arraigned. The New York Times reported that the indictments would be unsealed following the court appearances.

People familiar with the plans told the Post that charges are not expected against former President Trump himself at this time. . .

The Journal reported that the company and Weisselberg are expected to face charges related to allegations that Trump Organization employees avoided paying taxes on fringe benefits such as cars, apartments and other bonuses they received through the company.

Ronald Fischetti, an attorney representing former President Trump, said in an interview on Monday that Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr.’s office told him it is currently considering charges against the Trump Organization and individual employees for allegedly not paying taxes on company benefits. There are no charges related to hush money allegations or potential fraud regarding property valuations, he said. (Read more from “Trump Org, CFO Indicted by New York Grand Jury: Reports” HERE)

WATCH: Trump Drops Strongest Hint Yet On 2024

Former President Donald Trump gave his strongest indication yet that he may run for president again in 2024.

In a Wednesday interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Trump answered “yes” when asked if he had made up his mind about 2024. He has hinted on multiple occasions at a potential 2024 run for his old office, but has made no definitive commitment yet publicly.

Various reports have surfaced that people around Trump expect him to run for president. Polls have indicated that Trump would still be a frontrunner in a potential Republican primary despite his 2020 loss.

Officials Cancel Rally When Trump Identified as Speaker

Officials have canceled a rally in a public park in Alabama after discovering that it would be former President Donald Trump who would be speaking.

It may be the latest iteration of Trump Derangement Syndrome, the affliction that causes his political opponents to take the opposite stance on any issue, just because it opposes Trump. . .

It is the Gateway Pundit that reported a park commissioner in Alabama said the event scheduled for Saturday was dropped “after” it was learned Trump was invited.

The event was to be at the USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. Park officials said that “no partisan events” were allowed, the report explained.

That’s even though the state attorney general confirmed partisan events were allowed as long as the applicants had equal access to the process. (Read more from “Officials Cancel Rally When Trump Identified as Speaker” HERE)

Trump: Replace Gen. Mark Milley With A Leader Who Rejects ‘Leftist Radicals’

Former President Donald Trump called for Gen. Mark Milley’s resignation and criticized the general for kowtowing to leftist radicals in a statement Wednesday.

“Gen. Mark Milley’s greatest fear is upsetting the woke mob,” Trump said. “Gen. Milley ought to resign, and be replaced with someone who is actually willing to defend our Military from the Leftist Radicals who hate our Country and our Flag.”

In classic Trump fashion, the former president proceeded to elaborate upon Milley’s failures.

“When Black Lives Matter rioters were threatening to destroy Washington, D.C.,” Trump said, “[Milley] practically begged me not to send in the military to stop the riots.” (Read more from “Trump: Replace Gen. Mark Milley With A Leader Who Rejects ‘Leftist Radicals’” HERE)

Donald Trump: Flawed New York City Election Proves ‘Our Elections Are a Mess’

Former President Donald Trump highlighted the election in New York City on Wednesday as another example of faulty American elections, calling for additional security reforms.

“Check out the New York election today, by the way, they just realized it’s a disaster,” Trump said. “They’re unable to count the votes.”

Trump spoke about the elections during a visit to the Southern border with Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and members of law enforcement.

He pointed to the New York Board of Elections admitting they mistakenly included 135,000 “test” ballots in the final tally.

Trump described the test ballots in New York as “make-believe” votes and questioned the integrity of elections across the country. (Read more from “Donald Trump: Flawed New York City Election Proves ‘Our Elections Are a Mess’” HERE)

Manhattan DA Isn’t Filing Charges Against Trump

Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance has indicated he does not currently plan to charge the Trump Organization with crimes related to allegations of “hush money” payments and real estate value manipulations, according to a personal lawyer for Donald Trump.

Ronald Fischetti, a New York attorney who represents the former president, said on Monday that in a meeting last week, he asked Vance’s team for details on charges they were considering.

According to Fischetti, members of Vance’s team said they were considering bringing charges against the Trump Organization and its individual employees related to alleged failures to pay taxes on corporate benefits and perks. It has been widely reported that those perks included cars and apartments and appear to only involve a small number of executives. Trump Calls Joint Chiefs Chairman ‘Pathetic’ for Comments on Critical Race Theory

Former President Donald Trump on Friday bashed military leaders’ recent statements on the need to study racial strife as “pathetic” and said he would have fired them for such talk during his time in office.

During an interview on Newsmax, Trump was asked about the introduction of “critical race theory” in workplaces and schools. He quickly shifted the discussion to Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley, who earlier this week offered an impassioned defense of the topic during a House Armed Services Committee hearing.

“General Milley, I watched his statement and it was pathetic,” said Trump, who bypassed other top military officials to promote Milley to the top uniformed military post in 2019. “I watched the statements of some others, your head of the Navy, it was pathetic.

“They didn’t talk that way when I was around, I can tell you. They didn’t talk that way or I would have gotten rid of them in two minutes.”

Milley has received praise from many progressive groups and scorn from many conservatives in the wake of the nearly two-minute speech, which followed statements from Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla. and a former Green Beret, saying that topics like “white rage” should not be taught at West Point. WATCH: Trump Kicks off ‘Save America’ Tour

On Saturday, former President Donald Trump spoke at the “Save America Rally” in Wellington, Ohio. This specific rally was in support of Max Miller, whom Trump has endorsed in his primary challenge against Rep. Anthony Gonzalez. The Republican congressman who has represented Ohio’s 16th district since 2019, voted to impeach Trump in his second impeachment trial.

The former president we know so well was there to remind the crowd of the already obvious stark contrast between his administration and the Biden administration, particularly when it comes to “our poor borders.”

While Trump inevitably did dedicate a significant portion of his speech to the 2020 election, he also did remind the crowd of the importance of the 2022 mid-term elections. In fact, the Saturday night rally is regarded as “the very first rally of the 2022 election.”

Some Republicans, including Trump’s own allies such as Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO), would prefer a focus on 2022 and 2024, rather than on 2020. Trump, however, is determined to focus on the past as well as the future, because he sees them as connected. “The biggest tragedy of all,” Trump would go on to lament, “is millions of Americans have lost confidence in their vote,” something he vowed “we cannot let… happen.” (Read more from “Trump Kicks off ‘Save America’ Tour” HERE)

‘Team Trump’ Ads Emerge on Facebook Despite Former President’s Exile

Former President Donald Trump’s fundraising groups began rolling out new ads from the page “Team Trump” on Facebook last week despite the ex-commander in chief being banished from the platform.

Information from Team Trump’s advertisement log on Facebook shows it unveiled new ads on June 21 calling for donations to the former president’s team, though some reports noted the ads emerged as early as June 19. The ads were purchased by the Save America Joint Fundraising Committee, a dual effort between Trump’s Save America leadership PAC and his Make America Great Again PAC.

Trump was banned from Facebook, among other social media sites such as Twitter, following the riots at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. A recent decision from the company determined the suspension would last at least until January 2023. Facebook insisted the posts do not indicate a change in Trump’s ban from the platform.

“President Trump is suspended from Facebook so he can’t post at all,” a spokesman for the company told the Washington Examiner. “Groups affiliated with the former president are not barred from posting on Facebook so long as they are not posting in his voice.” (Read more from “‘Team Trump’ Ads Emerge on Facebook Despite Former President’s Exile” HERE)

Impeach Biden? What Joe Did to Ukraine Is Worse Than What Trump Did

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden’s administration allegedly suspended $100 million in “lethal” aid to Ukraine ahead of his summit this week with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Without denying that allegation directly, White House Press Secretary said Friday that the administration gave $150 million in aid — including “lethal” aid — to Ukraine last week, and had spent the amount appropriated by Congress. . .

If the allegation — reported by the Washington Post and confirmed by Politico — is true, then what Biden did is far worse than what Trump did in 2019, when he was accused of withholding military aid from Ukraine until it investigated Joe Biden for corruption. In fact, Trump had already provided crucial Javelin anti-tank missiles months before the hold on additional “security assistance” to Ukraine Moreover, the aid that was withheld was future funding, not ongoing funding.

It was also never clear that Ukraine was even aware that the Trump administration had withheld the aid, which was soon delivered anyway. And Ukraine was not the only country from which the Trump administration had withheld funds, over concerns about corruption and other issues. . .

What Biden did, according to the reports, was kill a new package of “lethal” aid to Ukraine just days before his summit with Putin. (Read more from “Impeach Biden? What Joe Did to Ukraine Is Worse Than What Trump Did” HERE)

Biden Freezes Military Aid to Ukraine After Putin Summit as Leaders Plea for Help

By Yahoo News. As Russia mounted 100,000 troops on the Ukrainian border in March, the White House and the Department of Defense readied a $100 million military assistance package that was frozen once President Joe Biden announced a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to reports.

The Russian troop buildup, allegedly for unannounced military exercises, coincided with smaller American exercises in the Black Sea region. A previous buildup in eastern Ukraine led to the annexation of Crimea in 2014 and a protracted war that simmers seven years later. As Putin massed attack helicopters and aircraft on the eastern Ukrainian border, Biden and NATO leaders condemned Russia and called for a drawdown but made no public offers of military assistance. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urgently called for entry into NATO and the military weaponry his country lacks.

“Russia is not the entity that takes words seriously,” Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba told the Washington Examiner at a June 3 meeting in Kyiv.

“If they see that the only reaction the West can offer is words, they will understand that their hands are untied to that,” he added when asked if he was disappointed that Biden had not offered military assistance in the face of Putin’s aggression. “They can do fairly aggressive actions against Ukraine and against other countries as well.” (Read more from “Biden Freezes Military Aid to Ukraine After Putin Summit as Leaders Plea for Help” HERE)
