Thomas Matthew Crooks Emailed Butler County Sheriff’s Office Prior to Trump Assassination Attempt: Report

Newly released federal records indicate that a deputy with the Butler County Sheriff’s Office exchanged two emails with would-be Trump assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks prior to the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The records were obtained by Judicial Watch through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the FBI and were released on Friday. According to Judicial Watch, the FBI produced 48 heavily redacted pages related to its investigation into the shooting.

Among the documents was an interview summary involving a Butler County Sheriff’s deputy who told investigators she had exchanged two emails with Crooks before the attack. The contents of the emails remain unknown, as relevant portions were redacted. The deputy also told investigators that she did not have any personal interaction with Crooks.

“[Redacted] advised she [redacted] Thomas Crooks (CROOKS) in the [redacted] was an [redacted] therefore [redacted] with CROOKS. [Redacted] advised she did not recognize CROOKS when everything was on the news over the weekend but on Sunday night, a New York Times reporter emailed her asking questions,” reads the heavily redacted FBI communications titled “Disc of 5 Deputies of the Butler County Sheriff’s Office that were conducted on 07/16/2024.”

Disgraced Cryto Founder Asks Trump For Pardon

Incarcerated cryptocurrency founder Sam Bankman-Fried is formally seeking a pardon from President Donald J. Trump, according to the U.S. Justice Department (DOJ) website.

Bankman-Fried’s request for “Pardon after Completion of sentence” was submitted in 2026 and is currently pending, the DOJ Office of the Pardon Attorney website reads. He’s currently serving a 25-year sentence on seven charges of fraud, conspiracy and money laundering related to his now-bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange platform FTX, according to the DOJ. Trump said in January this year that he would not pardon the former crypto CEO.

Bankman-Fried was convicted of orchestrating a colossal fraud scheme via his company FTX as well as his trading firm Alameda Research rooted in the misuse of what amounted to billions of dollars, officials said.

The former cypto CEO made it clear that he wanted a pardon Monday when speaking to Fox Business. “Absolutely,” he said when asked. “It would be obviously, you know, ultimately up to the president, not up to me.”

Since President Trump took office in January 2025 for his second term, he has issued over 1,400 pardons, CNBC reported. Trump told The New York Times in an expansive January interview that he will not pardon Bankman-Fried along with several other figures, including deposed Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro. NBC Reporter’s Six-Word Claim about California Elections that Caused Trump to Storm Off

An NBC News reporter’s comments about California’s elections and the 2020 presidential race caused President Trump to storm out of their interview Sunday.

Kristen Welker sparred with the commander-in-chief over his claims the state’s voting was rigged as the counting continues and Democrat candidates suddenly enjoy a late stream of votes from mail-in ballots.

“That’s how they vote in California,” Welker replied after Trump pointed to the state’s still-unfinished ballot count as proof that something nefarious was happening.

The tense moment came during an interview on “Meet the Press,” when the president revived his longstanding allegations about election integrity while discussing California’s primaries.

The exchange became increasingly heated before Trump accused the network of bias and cut the interview short.

Trump Insists Israel’s Netanyahu ‘Won’t have any Choice’ in Accepting Iran Peace Deal after Fresh Strikes: ‘I Call the Shots’

By New York Post. President Trump said Israel’s prime minister would be forced to play ball with Iran after the Islamic Republic launched a missile attack on the Jewish State Sunday — and insisted that he is still the one who “calls the shots.”

Iran fired at least 10 missiles at Israel on Sunday, hours after the Israeli Defense Forces launched its own attack on a Hezbollah command center in Beirut.

Trump told the Financial Times that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will have to accept any ceasefire deal that the US brokers because he “doesn’t call the shots.”

“[Netanyahu] won’t have any choice. I call the shots. I call all the shots. He doesn’t call the shots,” Trump said.

Trump assured that Sunday’s shake-up, which effectively terminated a delicate ceasefire Israel and Lebanon agreed to just last week, will not have “any impact” on US-Iran negotiations. Report: Trump Moves to Rein in Benjamin Netanyahu After Israel Strikes Beirut Following Hezbollah Missile Attack

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump is reportedly moving to rein in Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following Israel launching a strike at Lebanon after Hezbollah struck northern Israel.

In a post on X, Barak Ravid, a global affairs correspondent for Axios, shared that Trump told him he was “going to call Netanyahu” and tell Netanyahu “not to strike back.”

Trump’s comments to Ravid come after Iran retaliated with a missile strike on Israel after Israel struck Beirut in response to an attack from Hezbollah, according to Axios.

Axios reported that Israel Defense Forces (IDF) “said sirens sounded in northern Israel as four missiles were launched from Iran”:

Iranian state media reported a third wave of missiles had been launched, but Israeli officials said all had so far been intercepted.

President Trump told Axios he would call Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and urge him not to retaliate for Iran’s missile attack.

An IDF spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Efi Defrin, stated that the IDF “was working on military plans and will continue striking Hezbollah targets in Beirut.”

Trump Pardons Former US Congressman Convicted of Insider Trading

President Trump has pardoned former US Representative Stephen Buyer, an Indiana Republican, who was convicted of securities fraud ​for engaging in insider trading in 2018 as a T-Mobile US ‌consultant ahead of a $23 billion merger with Sprint.

The proclamation, issued on Thursday and announced by the White House on Friday, gave no specific rationale for the pardon other ​than to assert that Buyer’s service as a US Army judge ​advocate general and member of Congress “was distinguished and highly productive.”

It ⁠also said that Trump, in granting Buyer a “full, complete and unconditional pardon,” was acting ​on the “advice and recommendation” of 52 current and former members of the US ​Senate and House of Representatives listed in the proclamation.

Buyer served in the House as a Republican from Indiana between 1993 and 2011 before working as a corporate consultant. He ​was found guilty in March of 2023 on four counts of securities ​fraud, and was sentenced in September of that year to 22 months in prison.

Prosecutors said ‌at ⁠trial that Buyer bought Sprint stock after learning from a T-Mobile executive that the telecommunications companies were in merger talks in 2018 and made illegal trades again the following year. The Not-So-Shocking Reason Why Trump Picked Biggest Goon In Washington To Replace Tulsi Gabbard

Aside from a handful of terminally online MAGA supporters, pretty much everyone across the political spectrum let out a collective groan Tuesday when news broke that Bill “50-Year Mortgage” Pulte was tapped as the new acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI).

Tulsi Gabbard, the former DNI in the Trump administration, stepped down from her position in May. She explained that her resignation was necessary to support her husband during his treatment for an “extremely rare form of bone cancer.” On Tuesday, President Trump announced her replacement: the biggest goon in Washington.

The grandson of William J. Pulte, the billionaire founder of the home construction firm PulteGroup, Pulte has no known background in intelligence, which perhaps makes him a perfect fit for the role. Pulte is the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), and will continue serving as such. As National Review’s Andy McCarthy notes, his real job at FHFA has been pretty much to sift through a database and find dirt that the Trump DOJ can use to wage fruitless lawfare campaigns against Democrats Letitia James, Lisa Cook and Adam Schiff.

Oh, it’s also been to come up with brilliant ideas to help Americans buy homes. Pulte was the Trump official behind the comically stupid idea to turn more Americans into debt slaves with the 50-year mortgage back in November 2025. He actually pitched the idea to Trump by bringing a poster board as if he were a middle schooler presenting his final term project. Pretty much everyone, right and left, dunked on the plan. The Daily Caller reported at the time that several Trump allies were annoyed that he “jumped the gun” without fully discussing the idea.

House Defies Trump and Passes War Powers Resolution to Halt Military Action Against Iran — Thanks to 4 GOP Defectors

Four House Republicans voted with Democrats Wednesday to pass a war powers resolution aimed at forcing President Trump to end military action against Iran.

The measure cleared the House in a 215-208 vote – two weeks after House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) pulled a planned vote on the resolution after it appeared Republicans would not be able to defeat it.

Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.), Tom Barrett (R-Mich.) and Warren Davidson (R-Ohio) joined every Democrat in backing the measure to end the three-month-long war.

The resolution will now head to the Senate, which advanced its own war powers resolution last month when a handful of GOP senators broke ranks with the president.

“The passage of my War Powers Resolution is a significant bipartisan rebuke of President Trump’s illegal and costly war in Iran, and the first step toward ending it once and for all,” Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY), the sponsor of the measure, said in a statement.

Trump says ‘Crazy’ Netanyahu has Made Everyone Hate Israel in Furious Phone Call – Report

Donald Trump lashed out at Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an expletive-laden phone call over Israel’s continued strikes in Lebanon on Monday, according to US media reports.

The US president was reportedly furious after Iran threatened to suspend peace talks with the US over Israel’s strikes on Hezbollah in Lebanon, telling the Israeli prime minister that “everybody hates Israel” because of his actions.

In his public remarks after the two leaders spoke, Trump announced that a partial truce had been agreed between Israel and Hezbollah and that the call had been “very productive”.

But behind closed doors Trump is said to have yelled at Netanyahu over the phone, calling him “f****** crazy”, Axios reported late on Monday, citing two unnamed US officials familiar with the call.

“You’re f****** crazy. You’d be in prison if it weren’t for me. I’m saving your a**. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this,” Trump said, according to a US official’s summary of the remarks. Trump Wants to Give Kennedy Center to Congress after Judge Orders His Name Removed from Building

President Trump declared Friday that he has “no interest in continuing” to oversee operations and renovations at the Kennedy Center – and will move to transfer those responsibilities to Congress – after a federal judge ordered his name to be removed from the performing arts venue.

⁠District Judge Christopher Cooper ruled that within 14 days all physical signage bearing Trump’s name must be removed from the building and all references to a “Trump Kennedy Center” must be eliminated from official materials, in response to a lawsuit by Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio), who is an ex-officio member of the institution’s board.

Cooper, who serves on the District Court for the District of Columbia and was appointed by former President Barack Obama, also temporarily blocked a planned two-year closure of the venue for renovations – infuriating Trump.

“Shockingly, a Judge appointed by Barack Hussein Obama, Christopher Cooper, ruled that The Kennedy Center, which was going to close in early July for largescale renovations and construction due to years of neglect, decay, and poor maintenance, and which was to be transformed by the Trump Administration into the Finest Facility of its kind, anywhere in the World, is not allowed to close for these renovations, which would not be possible to properly do without such a closure,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“Additionally, Judge Cooper ruled that the 36 Member Board of Trustees, which unanimously voted to add the name ‘TRUMP’ onto the former Kennedy Center, making it The Trump Kennedy Center, did not have the right to do such an addition, and the name, ‘TRUMP,’ must be removed,” the president continued.
