Trump on Potential Emergency Declaration for Midterms: ‘Stranger Things Have Happened’

President Donald Trump said that “stranger things have happened” when it was suggested that he could declare a national security emergency for elections on Tuesday.

During an interview that aired on Real America Voice’s America Speaks, Wayne Allyn Root posed the idea of declaring a national security emergency for the midterm elections, which Root said would allow for voter identification requirements at the ballot box.

Root pointed to the 1983 Supreme Court ruling of Immigration and Naturalization Service v. Chadha as the reason the president would have the right to declare a national emergency:

Because it’s so hard to get the Senate to do anything— now they’re on recess; they don’t get anything done—if they never get the Save America Act done, you have the right to declare a national security emergency for elections. And the Supreme Court ruled in 1983 under Reagan, INS versus Chadha, that if you declare a national security emergency as the president of the United States, they can’t challenge it. It can only be overturned by a two-thirds vote of both houses of Congress. So if you do this in the next month, we will get photo ID, proof of citizenship and a limit to mail-in ballots.

Trump To Sign Groundbreaking Vaccine Executive Order

President Donald Trump will sign an executive order Monday aimed at increasing confidence in the childhood vaccination schedule through greater flexibility for families, according to a fact sheet obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Trump’s recommendations to align the childhood vaccination schedule with “gold standard science” involves three policies. White House officials told the DCNF the new executive order builds on the prior ones in large part because Trump himself will educate the public from the bully pulpit about the changes.

“For a long … and far too long period of time, America has recommended more childhood vaccines than any peer nation and nearly twice as many doses as many European countries,” Trump said at a White House ceremony Monday afternoon. “In many cases we required 72 jabs for our healthy, lovely, delicate little children.”

First, the order better educates states to harmonize their policies with a Health and Human Services (HHS) study finding that America’s 18-disease childhood vaccination schedule is more crowded than those in other high income nations in Europe and Asia. The order grants families greater allowance to space out childhood vaccines into separate medical visits and to separate the combined measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine into three single-disease shots.

Second, the order calls on the HHS Task Force on Safer Childhood Vaccines — first created by a 1986 law but fallen into neglect in 1998 — to generate a report in 90 days on how to implement the EO, including ways the commercial sector can produce individual MMR shots and recommend research studies on how to optimally space out shots. The task force includes the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Trump Rejects Iran’s Six-Point Ultimatum, Says He Is ‘Now Demanding Compensation’ in ‘All Future Negotiations’

President Donald Trump rejected Iran’s sweeping demands for fully reopening the Strait of Hormuz on Monday, turning Tehran’s call for war reparations back on the regime by declaring that the United States is “now demanding compensation” from Iran in all future negotiations.

“I see that Representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran are asking for compensation for the damage done to them during the last five month Military Conflict (started because, THEY WILL NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON), even though it was never mentioned in any of our negotiations or meetings!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

“But it is an interesting idea because now I am likewise demanding compensation from Iran, for all of the people that they have killed and gravely wounded with their roadside bombs and many conflicts, for which they are famous, as led initially by General Soleimani,” he continued.

Trump cited the families of those killed in the 2000 terrorist bombing of the USS Cole and “thousands of others killed in combat,” while also demanding compensation for the families of Iranians brutally killed by the regime.

“Additionally, compensation should be paid to the families of the hundreds of thousands of innocent protestors that Iran has killed over the last 50 years, not to mention the 52,000 that have been killed in the last five months,” Trump wrote.

Trump Ordered by Appeals Court to Stop White House Ballroom Construction

A federal appeals court blocked further construction of President Trump’s planned White House ballroom Friday, ruling that the massive project must first receive congressional approval.

A divided panel of DC circuit judges determined that “Congress has exclusive authority to regulate the construction and demolition of White House structures.”

“We are aware of no instance in American history in which a President unilaterally and using privately collected funds demolished substantial portions of the White House that Congress authorized to be built and American taxpayers paid for. Until now,” wrote judges Patricia Millet and Bradley Garcia in their majority opinion.

“The Constitution’s Property Clause vests Congress with plenary control over all real property that belongs to the United States,” added Millet and Garcia, appointees of Barack Obama and Joe Biden, respectively.

Israel ‘Rejects’ Trump’s 15-point Peace Plan for Gaza, Netanyahu Says

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has fully rejected the 15-point plan to disarm Hamas after President Trump announced a breakthrough last week, in which his Board of Peace announced a deal with the terror group.

Trump claimed last month that his panel cut a deal with Hamas for the terror group to disarm in exchange for Israel withdrawing from the Gaza Strip, but Netanyahu voiced skepticism about its sincerity.

“I want to be precise here: Israel rejects the 15-point document,” Netanyahu said at a weekend cabinet meeting.

Netanyahu declared that Israel will “not withdraw at all until Hamas is genuinely disarmed and will continue to thwart threats against our forces and citizens.”

Trump Unveils Billions of Dollars in Mining-Tied Deals, Investments

President Donald Trump on Friday announced billions of dollars in deals and investments in and around the mining industry, as well as more than $180 million in funding for mining schools.

Trump detailed several of the deals and investments at an event on American mining at the State Department on Friday.

The full list as provided by the White House is as follows:

The Department of War is investing over $85 million into Standard Bauxite to secure the supply chain of refractory-grade bauxite to support manufacturing of high-temperature-resistant materials used to make critical components for our warfighters and essential to the modern industrial economy.

The Department of War is investing $150 million into Niron Magnetics, a Minnesota company developing and producing 100% domestic, rare earth-free permanent magnets to support the defense industrial base and help eliminate dependency on foreign-produced rare earth magnets.

Trump to Immediately Appeal Ballroom Ruling to Supreme Court

President Donald Trump said Friday afternoon that he will immediately appeal the ruling of judges appointed by former President Barack Obama and Joe Biden that halts construction of the White House ballroom.

Trump took to Truth Social after Obama-appointed Judge Patricia A. Millett and Biden-appointed Judge Bradley N. Garcia ruled as part of a three-judge panel that he must get Congressional approval for the ballroom.

“The decision has been stayed, and does not take effect for a period of time. We will be immediately appealing to the United States Supreme Court,” he wrote.
Trump called the federal appeals court ruling a “National Security threat,” citing the military features being added to the complex, the construction of which is well underway:

The Military and Secret Service are viewing this horrendous, politically motivated, and unlawful ruling as a National Security threat to our Nation in that the entire Complex is being built for the protection of our Country and, additionally, all future Presidents. The single, integrated project includes Bomb Shelters, State of the Art Hospital and Medical Facilities, Protective Partitioning, Top Secret Military Facilities, Structures and Equipment, Protective Missile Resistant Steel, Columns, Roofs, and Beams, Drone Proof Ceilings and Roofs, Military Grade Venting, and Bullet, Ballistic, and Blast Proof Glass. Federal Court Sides With Trump Over Media Outlet In 11th Hour Decision

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Thursday granted President Trump’s emergency motion for a stay, temporarily blocking the BBC from accessing his financial records in his $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the company.

The Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust sought the emergency stay after U.S. Magistrate Judge Enjoliqué Lett ordered July 27 that the BBC be given access to certain financial records. Without the stay, the trust would have been required to produce tax returns, financial statements and ownership records for about 400 corporate entities by Thursday, according to the order and CNBC.

Trump’s lawyers argued that the BBC’s request was “shockingly broad” and could cause damage if the company had access to confidential information and the order was later overturned, CNBC reported.

The BBC sought access to Trump’s financial records after he claimed a documentary about the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol damaged the reputation and value of his brand, properties and businesses, according to the emergency stay order and CNBC.

Trump lodged a more than $5 billion defamation suit against the BBC in December 2025. In the lawsuit, Trump accused the BBC of maliciously misleading its viewers in a 2024 documentary and splicing two separate comments he’d made during a Jan. 6, 2021 speech in a way that appeared to urge his supporters to engage in violence ahead of the certification of the 2020 election results. Sources Close To Admin Weigh In After Trump Reportedly Tips Hand On Potential Successor

President Donald Trump appears to have indicated who he would like to see succeed him as the face of the GOP and in the White House, according to a new Washington Post report.

During a recent private meeting with donors in the Oval Office, Trump said that “at the end of the day, we need to elect JD,” two people with knowledge of the comments told the Post. For months, Trump has privately and publicly polled allies, friends and staff on who should succeed him: Vance or Rubio.

“JD has all the bona fides of Trump, with a charm and disarming personality that makes it hard to taint him with the brashness and sometimes undesirable qualities of the President. He, like DeSantis, has an ability to evangelize MAGA that moves people toward it, not away from it,” one source close to the administration told the Caller.

“Having the President’s backing is the biggest hurdle, and it’s one that will keep others at bay. The fact that it’s coming so early is great for the party when the other side is lost,” the source added.

Trump Reveals what Stopped ‘Biggest Attack since World War II’ on Iran

President Donald Trump said Wednesday during an event in Las Vegas that Iran sought negotiations after the U.S. prepared what he described as a massive military strike, arguing that sustained military pressure has brought Tehran back to the bargaining table.

Speaking to supporters, Trump said the U.S. was “set for the biggest attack since World War II” before Iranian officials reached out to request talks. “They called me and they said, ‘Please don’t do it, let’s talk,'” Trump said.

Trump said he would prefer a diplomatic resolution over further military action but reiterated that the administration’s position has not changed. “I’d rather make a deal because I don’t want to kill people,” he said. “But Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.”

The comments come as the Trump administration continues negotiations with Iran over reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said Tuesday that “a lot of progress” had been made and suggested a deal could be reached as soon as Wednesday or Thursday.
