WATCH: Trump Tweets Satirical Video Slamming Obama for Endorsing Biden; Views Quickly Surpass Obama’s Endorsement Itself

President Trump on Monday tweeted a satirical video that shows former President Barack Obama – or rather, his head doctored onto someone else’s body – shrugging off awkward comments by presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden before cutting to a Trump-Pence 2020 campaign logo.

The video – which was not produced by the campaign – parodies an Allstate commercial showing the insurance company’s spokesman Dennis Haysbert watching a basketball game with his friends before a commercial of Haysbert advertising Allstate appears on the screen. In the original ad, Haysbert’s friends implore him to change the channel, which he does, only to find another Allstate ad starring himself.

In the video Trump tweeted, Obama’s head is obviously superimposed over Haysbert’s, and instead of an Allstate commercial, a fake Biden ad appears on the TV when the basketball game goes to commercial.

“The kids used to come up and reach in the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and then watch the hair come back up again,” Biden says in the fake ad. “I learned about kids jumping on my lap, and I loved kids jumping on my lap.”

The ad might be fake, but it uses a real quote by the former vice president from June 2017 in which he was describing his time as a lifeguard at a Delaware pool when he was younger. The Biden comments were not nefarious and were not the main subject of the speech he was giving, but have been seized on by his opponents previously to illustrate the candidate’s gaffe-prone nature. Trump’s Satirical Video Outpaces Obama’s Within Hours

By Joseph A. Wulfsohn. It appears President Trump had the last laugh as his satirical video mocking President Obama’s recent endorsement of former Vice President Joe Biden has garnered more views within hours than Obama’s 12-minute address did in the last week.

Obama endorsed his former running mate after all of Biden’s primary rivals withdrew from the presidential race. The widely publicized endorsement received 10.2 million views since last Tuesday.

However, the video Trump shared surpassed Obama’s video, earning 10.3 million views within roughly 13 hours despite the former president’s remarks still having more likes and retweets.

The video – which was not produced by the campaign – parodies an Allstate commercial with the insurance company’s spokesman Dennis Haysbert watching a basketball game with his friends before a commercial of Haysbert advertising Allstate appears on the screen. In the original ad, Haysbert’s friends implore him to change the channel, which he does, only to find another Allstate ad starring himself. (Read more about the satirical video HERE)

How the Obamas Could Easily Win Eight More Years in the White House

As the president of the United States shelters in place with the White House press corps, and Joe Biden gibbers senselessly into the GoPro camera in his Delaware basement, this fall’s national election has been thrown into a cocked tricorn by the coronavirus. Many of Donald Trump’s retail-politicking strengths — the huge rallies, his command of crowds — have been neutralized, and while he still has control of the narrative from his bully pulpit in the West Wing, the national media remains dead set against him, and puts the worst possible spin on every word he speaks. . .

Still, as 2016 demonstrated, even when the fix is in, you never know. What the Democrats need in order to be sure of beating Trump is the perfect vice presidential candidate, one who will not only balance the ticket, push progressive causes, and check all the social-justice boxes but who will turn out the African-American vote in droves without Biden’s having to say a word or lift a finger. . .

So the choice is clear: Michelle Obama. Never mind that she has even less political experience than Hillary Clinton did when she ran for the White House, and has long said she disdains public office.

Currently, Michelle is in talks to possibly endorse Biden via a video and is said to be lending her name to a campaign fundraiser as early as next week, according to The Hill. “If she engages, God help Donald Trump, because she’s tough as nails and enormously popular,” former Democratic Party chairman of South Carolina Dick Harpootlian told the outlet. With her husband finally having endorsed Biden last week, the stage is now set. (Read more from “How the Obamas Could Easily Win Eight More Years in the White House” HERE)

Donald Trump Vows to Investigate Wuhan Lab, Challenges China’s ‘Revised’ Death Toll

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump said Friday at the White House that the United States would continue to investigate the origin of the coronavirus.

Recent reporting has questioned whether the virus could have come from a virology lab in Wuhan that was studying bats, rather than a bat sold in a Wuhan wet market. . .

“It seems to make sense, they talk about a certain kind of bat, but that bat wasn’t in that area, if you can believe this, that’s what they’re down to now, is bats,” Trump said. . .

The president also challenged China’s death toll, noting that news reports were uncritically saying that the United States had the most coronavirus deaths in the world.

“We don’t have the most in the world deaths, the most in the world has to be China, it’s a massive country, it’s gone through a tremendous problem with this,” Trump said. “They must have the most.” (Read more from “Donald Trump Vows to Investigate Wuhan Lab, Challenges China’s ‘Revised’ Death Toll” HERE)

China Decimated U.S. Intelligence Apparatus Years Ago, Posing Steep Challenge During Coronavirus Cover-Up

By Fox News. A glaring spotlight has been cast on U.S. intelligence operations in China in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic and how exactly the novel pathogen originated in the city of Wuhan.

While China’s official narrative is that the disease was born out of a wet market in the city, sources within the U.S. intelligence community are now examining the theory that the origin of the pandemic stemmed from a laboratory — not out of malicious intent, but from an accident while undertaking dangerous virus research to keep up with the United States. Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin U.S. intel is investigating the origins.

Intelligence experts stress that the attempt to usurp the U.S. as the global superpower is at the heart of their brutal dismantling of intelligence operations within the country. But American intel has been working from a disadvantage ever since several operatives’ covers were blown over the last decade, leading to a purge by Beijing.

Reports emerged in 2017 that China had dealt a huge blow to the CIA’s infrastructure within its borders. From 2010 through to around 2013, according to The New York Times, more than a dozen carefully curated assets in China were jailed or killed — with one even brazenly shot outside a government building as a perceived warning to others.

“It was devastating. The setback probably delayed the U.S. national security community from fully comprehending Beijing’s move toward a more oppressive and assertive policy,” Patrick Cronin, Asia-Pacific security chair for the Hudson Institute, told Fox News. “The gap in a sharper understanding of the Chinese Communist Party’s true aims bought it more time to enact greater information suppression at home and more aggressive political warfare abroad.” (Read more from “China Decimated U.S. Intelligence Apparatus Years Ago, Posing Steep Challenge During Coronavirus Cover-Up” HERE)

Democrats Hope to Tank the Economy and Take Down Trump; President Trump Pushes to Reopen U.S.

By WND. The new unemployment numbers are out, and there’s really no way to butter this biscuit, folks. Unless America’s economic engine is restarted, we will be plunged into a Great Depression. . .

And the only way to stop this economic death spiral is for every freedom-loving citizen to embrace their constitutional rights, take to the streets and demand that their state leaders reopen this nation. . .

It’s hard to fathom what our country has been through over the past few months. The nation was shut down based on a virus death-count that thankfully proved not to be accurate. . .

The mainstream media did their part by fomenting national hysteria as part of a sick and twisted narrative that the nation was in the throes of a dystopian apocalyptic reality show.

On Thursday President Trump unveiled his plan to open up American again – a plan that has strong support across the country. And while there are glimmers of hope that a number of the states will soon be reopening for business, many Democratic leaders are balking. Trump Pushes to Reopen U.S. Economy

By NPR. President Trump on Friday said states are well equipped to adequately test for COVID-19, a position that has been contradicted by state leaders and health care experts.

The Trump administration this week released a plan to begin reopening the U.S. economy, even as experts warn that the country has a long way to go before it can responsibly ease restrictions.

The White House on Thursday issued guidelines to states outlining a three-tiered approach to relaxing social distancing measures.

But while Trump boasted of the country’s comeback from the coronavirus’ grip, health care authorities say that rushing to reopen the economy without adequate measures like widespread testing could have disastrous implications on containing the virus.

“There have been some very partisan voices in the media who have spread false and misleading information about our testing capacity,” Trump said during the Friday briefing. (Read more from “Trump Pushes to Reopen U.S. Economy” HERE)

How Each State Can Reopen Under President Trump’s Guidelines

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump announced Thursday at the White House the new set of guidelines created by the coronavirus task force to reopen states in the country.

Each state, Dr. Deborah Birx explained, would be required to set up screening and testing sites and be able to trace contacts of patients testing positive for the virus.

They would need to have the ability to also screen for asymptomatic cases in places serving vulnerable and older Americans in places like nursing homes.

The state would have to have a sufficient supply of medical protective equipment for doctors and medical professionals and be equipped for a surge in ICU capacity.

If each state could meet the core responsibilities, they could enter into a phase one stage of reopening. (Read more from “How Each State Can Reopen Under President Trump’s Guidelines” HERE)

Governors Sketch out New ‘Normal’ as Trump Eyes Reopening Parts of Country

By Politico. Even as President Donald Trump prepares to release his guidelines for how states can ease stay-at-home and social distancing restrictions, governors in California, New York and other states are starting to roll out their own ideas.

The plans are less elaborate blueprints than outlines of what the new “normal” might look like. But they could give homebound, increasingly anxious Americans rattled by the economic toll from the pandemic some sense of what’s to come.

Most of the scenarios focus on an easing of restrictions at the end of this month or in the first half of May. And the governors already are warning that a premature reboot could spell disaster without a clear sense of who is sick and where.

“It would really be the worst possible time for us to try to put more people out there and endanger them,” Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, chairman of the National Governors Association, said Thursday on NBC’s “Today” show about the prospect of lifting restrictions now. Treasury Adds President’s Name to Stimulus Checks; Checks Are Being Sent to Dead People

By PJ Media. In a move that is already making liberals heads explode, the Treasury Department has added Donald Trump’s name to the 70 million stimulus checks that will be sent to Americans starting this week. . .

Reuters:

The White House and the Treasury Department did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment, however the Post said Treasury officials disputed that the cheques would be delayed.

The Post said the “unprecedented decision” to include Trump’s name was announced to the IRS information technology team on Tuesday.

“The team, working from home, is now racing to implement a programming change that two senior officials said will likely lead to a delay in issuing the first batch of paper checks,” it said.

Coronavirus Stimulus Checks Are Being Sent to Dead People

By New York Post. The federal stimulus checks received by millions of Americans Wednesday to help ease the economic windfall caused by the coronavirus pandemic were also sent to unexpected recipients — dead people.

Numerous Americans took to social media to share tales of the misdirected dough delivered as part of the $2.2 trillion bailout package passed by Congress last month, including Republican Congressman Thomas Massie.

The Kentucky lawmaker tweeted an image of a text from a friend whose deceased father received a $1,200 check. The father died in 2018. . .

Scott Salaske, a financial adviser, said in a tweet that his acquaintance received an extra $1,200 in stimulus money for his deceased spouse, who also died in 2018. (Read more from “Coronavirus Stimulus Checks Are Being Sent to Dead People” HERE)

WATCH: President Trump Threatens to Adjourn Congress

By The Blaze. President Donald Trump stunned journalists at the coronavirus task force briefing on Wednesday when he threatened to adjourn the sessions of Congress.

The president was angrily denouncing Democrats for stalling on his judicial appointments when he said that he could force Congress out of session and appoint judges during the congressional recess.

“The Senate should either fulfill its duty and vote on my nominees or it should formally adjourn so I can make recess appointments,” the president said.

“We have a tremendous number of people that have to come into government. And now more so than ever before because of the virus and the problem,” he added.

Congress has been conducting pro forma actions in order to prevent recess appointments by the president. Trump decried these actions as a “scam.”

Fauci: Coronavirus Briefings Are ‘Really Draining’

By NBC News. . .At the same time Fauci is directing critical government research, he’s also one of the administration’s leading spokespeople on the virus, spending hours each week by Trump’s side during his lengthy, daily White House briefings.

Fauci said his public role is important but conceded that the duration of those briefings — Monday’s ran for nearly two-and-a-half hours — was “really draining” and that doesn’t even count preparation and waiting for it to start.

“If I had been able to just make a few comments and then go to work, that would have really been much better,” he said. “It isn’t the idea of being there and answering questions, which I really think is important for the American public. It’s the amount of time.” (Read more from “Fauci: Coronavirus Briefings Are ‘Really Draining'” HERE)

WATCH: Doctors Arrested for Ripping Down Senior Citizen’s Trump Flag, and It’s All Caught on Video

A Florida couple was arrested for ripping down a senior citizen’s pro-Trump flag from his property in Gulf Breeze, Florida, and records indicate they both work as doctors.

The ill-fated political vandalism was caught on 67-year-old David Brannen’s surveillance camera and was widely circulated on social media.

Police say the man and the woman drove up to the property in a golf cart with their children on April 7.

The surveillance video shows a man and a woman grabbing a ladder to reach the flag while a child implores them to stop. The child cries, saying that they were afraid the parents would go to jail.

Police later booked 41-year-old Geoffrey Michael Fraiche and his 38-year-old wife Laura Webb-Fraiche for the vandalism.

War Erupts When Trump Suspends WHO Funding Over Coronavirus Response (VIDEO); WHO Responds to President Trump’s Decision

By Fox News. President Trump’s decision to suspend funding to the World Health Organization amid the coronavirus crisis touched off an international war of words overnight as Democratic lawmakers in Washington as well as international bodies like the European Union condemned the move.

The president announced Tuesday that the United States would immediately halt funding for the health organization, saying it had put “political correctness over lifesaving measures,” noting that the U.S. would undertake a 60-to-90 day investigation into why the “China-centric” WHO had caused “so much death” by “severely mismanaging and covering up” the coronavirus spread.

Republicans on Capitol Hill, many of whom have been sharply critical of the World Health Organization and calling for weeks to get tough on the organization for allegedly helping China suppress information about the outbreak in the early stages, cheered the president’s decision. . .

But the partisan divide quickly opened. Following the announcement, House Oversight Committee Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., and House Subcommittee on National Security Chairman Steven Lynch, D-Mass., penned a letter to the president slamming his decision to withhold funding to the organization amid the global pandemic.

“While we may agree that the WHO has shortcomings that must be corrected, your attack on the global health organization can easily be seen as a deliberate but transparent effort to deflect responsibility for your own failures onto others,” Maloney and Lynch wrote, adding that Trump’s “attempt to blame the WHO for trusting China reflects an astonishing level of hypocrisy given your own fawning and widely publicized praise of President Xi Jinping and his government for their handling of this crisis.” (Read more from “War Erupts When Trump Suspends Who Funding” HERE)

WHO ‘Regrets’ Trump’s Decision to Withhold Funding, Says Focus Is on Saving Lives in Coronavirus Pandemic

By CNBC. The World Health Organization is turning to other countries to help fill any gaps in financing its Covid-19 response work after U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States would withhold contributions.

“The United States of America has been a long-standing and generous friend to the WHO and we hope it will continue to be so,” WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at a press conference on Wednesday. “We regret the decision of the President of the United States to order a hold in funding to the World Health Organization.”

Trump announced Tuesday that the U.S. will suspend funding to WHO while it reviews the agency’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic. He said the administration will conduct a “thorough” investigation that should last 60 to 90 days.

Trump criticized the international agency’s response to the outbreak at a White House press conference, saying “one of the most dangerous and costly decisions from the WHO was its disastrous decision to oppose travel restrictions from China and other nations” that Trump imposed early on in the outbreak. Despite Initial Agreement, Biden Reveals Details of Phone Call With President Trump

Though President Donald Trump and former vice president Joe Biden said they had agreed to keep the details of their Monday phone call private, Biden appears to have reneged on the agreement. The Democratic nominee has now divulged several details about the exchange in media interviews and a meeting with donors.

Biden said during his first interview after the call that he and Trump agreed they “wouldn’t go into detail” on what was said during the call between the political rivals. Biden in the days since has laid out the specifics of the five suggestions he made to Trump on how the administration could improve its coronavirus response and even began to detail to donors at a fundraiser how Trump responded.

Biden told a local Philadelphia news station on Tuesday that he and Trump “agreed we wouldn’t go into detail” beyond acknowledging they had a phone call to discuss the pandemic. In that same interview, however, Biden disclosed the recommendations he offered the president. “The generic suggestion I made is the federal responsibility, a federal response is necessary,” Biden said. “And that I thought we needed one supply commander, nationally, and identifying where all the product needed was and how to distribute it around the country.”

In a Tuesday night interview on CNN, Biden was pressed to break his silence by anchor Chris Cuomo, who asked Biden, “Why is it a good thing for the American people for you guys to talk but us not really know what happened?” The former vice president responded by detailing exactly what he recommended to the president.

“I laid out the five things I thought he should be doing now and suggested how I thought he should go about doing,” Biden said before laying out his suggestions, which beyond the appointment of a supply commander were to fully implement the Defense Production Act, open up enrollment for Obamacare, ramp up testing, and collect more data on African Americans who have caught the coronavirus.
