An Impeachment Inquiry Has Begun

Those eager for the start of an official inquiry by the U.S. House Judiciary Committee into the possible impeachment of President Trump need wait no longer.

A memorandum, submitted by the committee on July 26 to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and signed by the general counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives, makes clear that such an inquiry has begun.

The memorandum is in support of an application for access to all redactions of grand jury material in the Mueller report, in grand jury materials referenced in the report, and to any grand jury testimony or material directly related to four topics. The topics include the president’s knowledge of Russian interference in the 2016 election, links and contacts of his associates directly or indirectly with Russia, and criminal acts by anyone associated with his administration or campaign.

Under Rule 6(e) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, a judge may grant access to confidential grand jury material when sought in preparation for, or use in, a judicial proceeding. The committee urges that an impeachment investigation is a judicial proceeding for purposes of this exception to grand jury secrecy.

Then the committee makes clear that it is engaged in just such an impeachment investigation. Its statement is unequivocal: “The Committee seeks Rule 6(e) materials to further its ongoing investigation and assessment of whether to recommend articles of impeachment.” (Read more from “An Impeachment Inquiry Has Begun” HERE)

MAGA: Give This Woman VIP Seating at All Trump Rallies After These Remarks

While the Democrats continue to shank each other onstage since their 2020 clown car is still 15-plus candidates deep, President Trump is raking in the cash and already de facto running a general election campaign. He had a rally in the battleground state of Ohio last night, Cincinnati to be exact, and this one woman should be given VIP seating for all future Trump rallies:

Prior to the rally, which was in front of a packed house, one female Trump supporter called out Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and the Democrats for trashing America, putting down the country, and being asked to apologize for being citizens of this great country. Right on, lady! It’s funny that when we criticized America’s tepid economic growth under Obama, we were accused of being down on America. Screw the Democratic rules. WE shouldn’t have to apologize for being Americans or for our Founding Fathers and the ideals they advocated when they founded our country. It’s insanity.

Trump Admin Reports Another Strong Monthly Jobs Report in July

The Trump administration once again has some good economic news to close out the work week with the latest release of Bureau of Labor Statistics’ July job report on Friday.

Here are the highlights of Friday’s numbers:

There were 157,288,000 people employed in July, which marks an increase of 283,000 from the 157,005,000 employed in June.

The July employment number is also a 1,324,000 increase from the same month in 2018.

The unemployment rate has held steady at 3.7 percent.

The number of people not participating in the workforce also dropped considerably from June to July, dropping 183,000 from 96,057,000 to 95,874,000.

The number of people unemployed for 27 weeks or more declined by 248,000, according to a BLS statement.

The number of involuntary part-time workers — people who work part-time despite wanting full-time employment — has also dropped over the past 12 months by 604,000.

BLS also reported Friday that black employment is now at its highest point since the bureau started keeping records on the data in 1972 at 19,481,000. That’s 282,000 higher than June’s number of 19,199,000.

“July’s Employment Situation Report demonstrates the steady and consistent growth of the American economy,” said Acting Labor Secretary Patrick Pizzella. “With Labor Day a month away, we have not seen an unemployment rate this low on a Labor Day since 1952.”

Republican lawmakers praised the news, pointing to Republicans’ tax cuts and deregulation agenda as the cause of economic growth.

“A record number of workers are on the job in America’s strong, healthy and growing economy,” said Senate Republican Conference Chair John Barrasso, Wyo. “Republicans’ tax reform and regulatory relief have set the stage for robust job growth and wage gains, and American workers are winning.”

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, tweeted that the numbers were “good news for families+ society+ the entire country.”

In related news, a recent survey found that a majority of Americans think that government is in the way of growing the economy further, with 56 percent saying that big government spending is holding things back. Trump Orders Navy to Rescind Medals ‘Ridiculously’ Awarded to SEAL Gallagher Trial Prosecutors

President Trump has ordered that the Navy Achievement Medals awarded to four prosecutors in the Eddie Gallagher case be rescinded immediately.

Trump announced his directive via Twitter late Wednesday, following reports that revealed the four prosecutors were awarded the medals during a ceremony on July 10 – a week after they lost the Gallagher case.

“The Prosecutors who lost the case against SEAL Eddie Gallagher (who I released from solitary confinement so he could fight his case properly), were ridiculously given a Navy Achievement Medal,” Trump tweeted. “Not only did they lose the case, they had difficulty with respect to information that may have been obtained from opposing lawyers and for giving immunity in a totally incompetent fashion.”

Gallagher was acquitted on July 2 of all murder, witness intimidation and assault charges against him after a case marred by controversy and prosecutorial misconduct. He was found guilty of one single count involving taking a photo with a terrorist’s corpse.

The following week on July 10, the Navy Region Legal Service Office held a ceremony in a courtroom to award the four prosecutors and support staff and praise them for efforts such s “exceptional witness preparation,” “expert litigation on constitutional issues,” and “superb results” according to a motion obtained by Task & Purpose. Actor Calls for Violence Against President: America Needs Someone Who Can Punch Trump ‘in the Face’

Calling for violence against President Trump, or at least casually joking about it, has become fairly routine since 2016. Now actor Jeff Daniels says America needs someone who will punch Trump “in the face,” reports Fox News.

Speaking with Stephen Colbert on CBS, Jeff Daniels touched upon the Democratic Party presidential primary debates and how they should pick a candidate who will give Trump a solid knuckle sandwich.

“This is the second debate out of 20?” said Daniels. “You know, whittle it down, but we need somebody that can take this guy on, that can punch him in the face.” . . .

Jeff Daniels has been a fierce critic of not only President Trump, but also Trump supporters themselves — the latter of whom he has previously uncharitably characterized as being motivated by racial animus. In fact, the actor even compared Trump rallies to a line from “To Kill a Mockingbird”: “A mob is a place where people go to take a break from their conscience.”

“That’s what I see when I look at Donald Trump’s rallies, that’s when I see the lies he’s spewing at these people, and people going, ‘I gotta believe in something,’ and he said he’d bring my manufacturing job back and he didn’t … but at the end of the day, it’s race. Majority of Senate Republicans Vote to Send Budget ‘Monstrosity’ to President Trump’s Desk

A budget agreement that suspends the debt ceiling for two years, raises federal spending limits, and sets America up to add another $2 trillion to the national debt is on its way to President Donald Trump for signature after passing the Senate by a vote of 67-28.

A final vote on the bill was originally expected on Wednesday, but was pushed to Thursday afternoon amid questions about whether or not Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s leadership team would be able to get more than half of Senate Republicans behind the bill. House Republicans voted against the measure by a ratio of 2 to 1 the week before.

Twenty-three Republicans voted against the bill, fewer than half of the 53-member conference. Of the 67 who voted in favor, therefore, only 30 were Republicans, meaning that the bill passed with more Democrat support.

Five Democrats voted against the measure: John Tester, Mont.; Joe Manchin, W.V.; Amy Klobuchar, Minn.; Michael Bennet, Colo.; and Tom Carper, Md.

In a Tuesday statement against the legislation, Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, said the legislation “isn’t only a betrayal of conservatism but an example of government at its worst,” citing the fact that the bill was written behind closed doors.

“This budget deal is yet another missed opportunity to rein in excessive government spending,” Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said after the vote. “Instead of running up bills we can’t pay, we should be fighting for the American people’s commonsense priorities such as securing our southern border, cutting taxes, and reducing regulations.”

Supporters of the deal, however, have touted it as a compromise reached by a divided government to avoid a potential default or shutdown.

“One of our most important jobs as members of Congress is delivering the resources to fund our government, provide certainty and support for our military and our veterans, and ensure economic stability for American families,” Sen. Shelley Moore-Capito, R-W.V., said in a statement. This agreement puts us on the path to accomplish all of those goals.”

Before the final vote on Thursday, the Senate rejected an amendment from Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., that would have raised the debt ceiling in exchange for spending cuts by a vote of 23-70. Paul announced the vote the day before in a floor speech where he lambasted both parties for putting the budget deal together and called the legislation “a monstrosity” and “an abomination.” During the Wednesday speech, he also decried Republicans who he predicted would vote for his bill as political cover before supporting final passage of the agreement.

The vote was one of the last few remaining items of Senate business to wrap up before members of the upper chamber depart for this year’s five-week summer break. Federal Judge Took Democrats’ Russia Collusion Lawsuit Against the Trump Campaign to the Woodshed

. . .Back to the lawsuit, the judge was quite clear, there was no wrongdoing on behalf of the Trump campaign since they didn’t break any laws concerning obtaining the information from the Wikileaks dump. Those emails from John Podesta and the Clinton campaign aired out a lot of dirty laundry and made things quite awkward on the eve of their 2016 convention in Philadelphia. In short, the judge, a Clinton appointee, took a hatchet to the Democrats’ case, saying it was divorced from the facts (via Fox News):

A federal judge in frank terms Tuesday dismissed a lawsuit by the Democratic National Committee (DNC) against key members of the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks over hacked DNC documents, saying they “did not participate in any wrongdoing in obtaining the materials in the first place” and therefore bore no legal liability for disseminating the information.

The ruling came as Democrats increasingly have sought to tie the Trump team to illegal activity in Russia, in spite of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s findings that the campaign in fact refused multiple offers by Russians to involve them in hacking and disinformation efforts.

The DNC asserted in court filings that the Trump team’s meetings “with persons connected to the Russian government during the time that the Russian GRU agents were stealing the DNC’s information” were “circumstantial evidence” that they were conspiring with the Russians to “steal and disseminate the DNC’s materials.”

TPUSA Heads to Baltimore to See If the City Is Rat Infested. Here’s What They Found.

Ever since President Donald Trump took to Twitter on Saturday to chide Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) about the state of Baltimore, which sits in the heart of his district, political pundits have debated just how bad the city truly is.

CNN’s Victor Blackwell got emotional when he heard Trump’s comments about his hometown. A current Baltimore resident, however, confirmed one thing: the city really is rodent infested and Cummings has done nothing to help residents out over the last 20+ years he’s been in office.

Turning Point USA’s Chief Content Creator, Benny Johnson, hit the streets of Baltimore to talk to residents about their experiences and to set the record straight.

“Rats are a community problem that must be addressed by all residents. When a rat infestation exists at one location it may easily spread to adjacent properties,” the website states. “To help alleviate this problem, Baltimore County has hired a licensed exterminator to treat areas affected by this issue. We will be treating homes with alley access. Notification signs of when treatment will begin will be placed at the main street entrances of your community.”

President Trump Has Issued a Number of New Pardons

President Trump issued a number of pardons Monday afternoon shortly before meeting with inner city pastors at the White House. The individuals accepting the pardons are Michael Tedesco, Roy Wayne McKeever, Rodney Takumi, John Richard Bubala and Chalmer Lee Williams.

“After a careful review of the files of each of these individuals, President Trump has concluded that each are entirely deserving of Executive Clemency. Through these full and unconditional pardons, the Federal rights of these men, including the right to vote and the right to bear arms, have been fully restored. Today, they are once again full and equal citizens under the law,” White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham released in a statement.

In 1990, Mr. Bubala pled guilty to improper use of Federal Government property by transferring automotive equipment to the town of Milltown, Indiana, for its maintenance use. His primary aim was to help the town, and he sought neither compensation nor recognition for his actions. Today, Mr. Bubala is actively engaged in charity work, volunteering at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, leading education classes on the American Flag, and serving on an honor detail for veteran funerals.

In 1989, when he was 19 years old, Mr. McKeever was arrested for transporting marijuana from Mexico to Oklahoma. Upon arrest, he immediately accepted responsibility and pled guilty to one count of using a telephone to facilitate the distribution of a controlled substance. Mr. McKeever was sentenced to one year in prison and one year of supervised release. He has spent the past 29 years of his life atoning for his offense through charitable works in his community. Today, he is an active member of the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas, which supports local law enforcement and provides critical resources to officers across Texas.
