Adam Schiff Makes Quite a Revealing Statement After Trump Orders Declassification of Spying Documents

By Townhall. Last night, President Trump gave Attorney General Bill Barr the authority to declassify information and documents related to the FBI’s spying during the 2016 presidential election. He’s asked for a number of government agencies to cooperate with Barr’s inquiry, including the State Department, Treasury, Defense, Energy, Homeland Security, CIA and the Director of National Intelligence.

“Today, at the request and recommendation of the Attorney General of the United States, President Donald J. Trump directed the intelligence community to quickly and fully cooperate with the Attorney General’s investigation into surveillance activities during the 2016 Presidential election,” the White House released in a statement. “The Attorney General has also been delegated full and complete authority to declassify information pertaining to this investigation, in accordance with the long-established standards for handling classified information. Today’s action will help ensure that all Americans learn the truth about the events that occurred, and the actions that were taken, during the last Presidential election and will restore confidence in our public institutions.”

Declassification means more transparency for the American people. Hopefully, it will lead to accountability for those who turned federal law enforcement agencies into political weapons against private American citizens.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff has a different take. Ironically, it exposes Democrats.

BLAST FROM THE PAST: Trump threatens to declassify ‘devastating’ docs about Democrats

(New York Post, 11/28/18): President Trump said Wednesday that if House Democrats launched probes into his administration — which he called “presidential harassment” — they’d pay a heavy price.

“If they go down the presidential harassment track, if they want go and harass the president and the administration, I think that would be the best thing that would happen to me. I’m a counter-puncher and I will hit them so hard they’d never been hit like that,” he said during a 36-minute Oval Office sitdown.

The commander-in-chief said he could declassify FISA warrant applications and other documents from Robert Mueller’s probe — and predicted the disclosure would expose the FBI, the Justice Department and the Clinton campaign as being in cahoots to set him up. Hollywood Actor: Trump Is the Greatest President Since Lincoln

The Academy Award-winning actor [Jon Voight] and star of Showtime’s “Ray Donovan” posted his message as a video on Twitter Friday night. In it, Voight urges Americans not to be “fooled by the political left.” America, he states, is “witnessing triumph” and is “stronger, safer, and with more jobs because our president has made his every move correct.”

This is not the first time Voight has released a message to the American people from his Twitter account. In April, he offered a brief address on Twitter in support of Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who he says “we need very much at this time when our president is being attacked with lies and slanders from the media.”

Voight was an early and outspoken supporter of candidate Donald Trump and has been one of the president’s most ardent defenders in Hollywood. He spoke several times at various events during Mr. Trump’s inauguration, including during the inauguration concert, during which he declared, “God answered our prayers.”

Along with his roles in several television series over his decades-long career, Voight has starred in major films from a wide range of genres, including “Catch-22” (1970), “Deliverance” (1972), “Heat” (1995), “Mission Impossible” (1996), “Transformers” (2007) and “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” (2016). Voight was nominated for Academy Awards for best actor in a leading role for “Midnight Cowboy” (1969) and “Runaway Train” (1985) and best actor in a supporting role for “Ali” (2001). In 1979, he won the Oscar for best actor in a leading role for “Coming Home” (1978). He’s also won several Golden Globes, including two for his role as Mickey Donovan. Democrat: Trump Administration Murdering Children

First-term Democrat Rep. Lauren Underwood of Illinois accused the Trump administration of murdering children during a hearing with Acting Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan on Wednesday.

Underwood said:

People keep dying, and so this is obviously more than a question of resources. Congress has been more than willing to provide the resources and work with you to address the security and humanitarian concerns, but at this point, with five kids that have died, 5,000 separated from their families, I feel like — and the evidence is really clear — that this is intentional. It’s intentional. It’s a policy choice, being made on purpose by this administration, and it’s cruel and inhumane.

McAleenan responded: “That’s an appalling accusation, and our men and women fight hard to protect people in our custody every single day. We’ve asked for those resources three weeks ago, it hasn’t been responded to by Congress, and we’ve asked for changes in authority for the last three years that would have prevented this from happening.”

Ranking Member Mike Rogers (R-AL) objected, and moved that Underwood’s remarks be “taken down.” (Read more from “Democrat: Trump Administration Murdering Children” HERE)

Pelosi’s Ridiculous Claim: Trump May Have Committed ‘Impeachable Offense’ in ‘Plain Sight’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told a left-leaning audience on Wednesday that President Trump may have committed “an impeachable offense,” ratcheting up her warnings to the White House even as she and her deputies try to tamp down calls from the rank-and-file to press forward on impeachment now.

Pelosi, D-Calif., speaking at the Center for American Progress 2019 Ideas Conference in Washington, D.C., outlined a potential path to impeachment — moments after a contentious meeting at the White House ended with Trump departing for the Rose Garden to publicly accuse Democrats of a presidential “takedown.”

“The fact is, in plain sight, in the public domain, this president is obstructing justice and he’s engaged in a cover-up. And that could be an impeachable offense,” Pelosi told the audience, which broke out in applause.

“Ignoring the subpoenas of Congress was Article 3 of the Nixon Impeachment. So, it’s not just the substance that we are after, that we want to have to get the truth to the American people, but in striving to get that the intervention, the obstruction that the administration is engaged in is, as they say, the cover-up is frequently worse than the crime.” . . .

“Let me just say, we take on oath of office, to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Democrats take that oath seriously, and we are committed to honoring our oath of office. I’m not sure our Republican colleagues share that commitment, and I’m not sure the President of the United States does.” (Read more from “Pelosi’s Ridiculous Claim: Trump May Have Committed ‘Impeachable Offense’ in ‘Plain Sight'” HERE)

Is This Why Justin Amash Is Pushing for Trump’s Impeachment?

By Townhall. . . .Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) had a tantrum because former White House Counsel Don McGahn decided to wipe his rear end with the subpoena that was issued to him. It’s part of the Trump White House’s legal strategy of slapping away these worthless subpoenas because we all know these aren’t oversight investigations. They’re impeachment hearings. They’re aimed at trying to get the president over anything, something.

Storm noted that there’s been a liberal shift in the programming at Fox New on the weekends, which could be a sign that we’re in the post-Roger Ailes era. Rupert Murdoch’s sons are running the show—and they’re not conservatives. He’ll walk you through it folks, but let’s just say that Chris Wallace should find guests who aren’t liberals or former Obama officials. This is Fox News after all. . .

And alas, we come to Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI), one of the few libertarians in Congress, who recently declared that Trump could be impeached, which is rich given that police state tactics were used against the president and some of his staff during the 2016 election. Also, there could be a China connection. Yep, trade is causing tension between the U.S. and China and it would seem that the Michigan congressman has some investments that could get squeezed. Sofia Carbone at Human Events has the story:

In 2010 the Michigan Live website detailed how Amash and his family were ostensibly profiting from the creation of tools in China which were then sold by the Amash family business in Michigan.

The impeachment impresario’s 2017 Financial Disclosure Report details the congressman reported between $100,001 and $1,000,000 in income from a company called Michigan Industrial Tools, which in turn is owned by Dynamic Source International, based in China. Dynamic Source International manufactures products overseas and sells them in the United States via Michigan Industrial Tools (MIT).

Trump Impeachment Call from Rep. Amash ‘Very Disturbing,’ Kevin McCarthy Says

By Fox News. House GOP Chairman Kevin McCarthy is disputing five-term Congressman Justin Amash’s call for President Trump’s impeachment.

Joining a growing chorus of Republicans, McCarthy said Tuesday that Rep. Amash, D-Mich., was out of step with others in the Republican Party and with the American people.

On “Sunday Morning Futures” this past weekend he told Maria Bartiromo, “What he wants is attention in this process. He’s not a criminal attorney. He’s never met Mueller. He’s never met Barr. And now he’s coming forward with this?”

“It’s very disturbing,” McCarthy remarked. “This is exactly what you would expect from Justin. He never supported the president. And I think he’s just looking for attention.” (Read more from “Trump Impeachment Call from Rep. Amash ‘Very Disturbing,’ Kevin McCarthy Says” HERE)

Massive Film Festival Features Gruesome Movie Poster About President Trump

The B-movie-style one-sheet shows a woman holding two decapitated heads, including one that looks like the commander-in-chief wearing his signature campaign headgear.

When a photograph of Kathy Griffin holding up an effigy of Donald Trump’s severed head hit the Internet May 31, 2017, life for the comedian was never the same. “I didn’t commit a crime,” she told The Hollywood Reporter the following year, following a months-long break from her career during which she attempted to manage the international scandal that, by the end, involved the FBI, a Secret Service investigation and a pummeling on social media. “I didn’t rape anybody. I didn’t assault anybody. I didn’t get a DUI.”

What she did was kickstart a politically charged dialogue that spread beyond the world of comedy that begged the question: How far is too far? A new movie project being presented during the Cannes Film Festival’s Market has added itself the conversation.

It’s called When Women Rule the World and the poster image — circulating at the Cannes Market and in trade publications including The Hollywood Reporter — features a bikini-clad woman (a Melania Trump-type character called Maria Putin, played by actress Anna Hera) holding two decapitated heads. One is bloodied up to look like Trump in a Make America Great Again hat and a shaggy blond wig. The other, a gray-skinned, bug-eyed zombie. “Meet the First Lady of the Future with her Heads of State,” reads the tagline for the film from writer-director-producer Sheldon Silverstein.

On the film’s official website, Silverstein describes himself as “an internationally accomplished” auteur who lived in Rome for 20 years and “worked with such notable directors as Sergio Leone and Federico Fellini, and was greatly influenced by these icons.” When Women Rule the World marks his directorial debut following producing credits include such projects as The Erotic Adventures of Robinson Crusoe, The Pumpkin Karver and Hazard Jack. President Trump Lashes out at Fox News

By The Blaze. President Donald Trump railed against Fox News during his rally Monday for holding a town hall event with one of his presidential opponents, South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

“What is going on with Fox? What is going on there?” he said at the Pennsylvania rally.

Fox News held a town hall event with Buttigieg, who is in third place among the more than two dozen candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination.

“They’re putting more Democrats on than you have Republicans,” Trump lamented.

“I did want to watch, you always have to watch the competition, if you want to call it,” Trump continued. “And he was knocking the hell out of Fox and Fox has put him there. Someone’s going to have to explain the whole Fox deal to me.” (Read more from “President Trump Lashes out at Fox News” HERE)

Trump hits Fox News after Buttigieg town hall: ‘What is going on with Fox?’

By The Hill. President Trump took a swipe at Fox News during his campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Monday night, questioning the network for hosting a town hall with Democratic presidential candidates such as South Bend, Ind., Mayor Pete Buttigieg. . .

“I did want to watch, you always have to watch the competition, if you want to call it,” Trump continued referring to Buttigieg’s town hall Sunday evening. “And he was knocking the hell out of Fox and Fox has put him there. Someone’s going to have to explain the whole Fox deal to me.”

The criticism comes as a surprise from Trump, who frequently hits so-called “fake news” networks but mostly praises Fox News. In 2017, Trump praised “Fox & Friends” for being named “most influential” because he watches the show, and has appeared for over a dozen interviews on the network since becoming president. Obama Judge Upholds Dem Subpoena for Trump Financial Records

By Politico. A federal judge on Monday upheld a congressional subpoena seeking President Donald Trump’s financial records from an accounting firm, arguing that Congress is well within its rights to investigate potential illegal behavior by a president — even without launching a formal impeachment inquiry.

U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta’s ruling delivers a striking blow to the president’s efforts to resist Democratic investigations, and is certain to give Democrats further legal basis to investigate Trump, his finances, and his presidential campaign.

In addition to upholding the House Oversight and Reform Committee’s subpoena to accounting firm Mazars USA for eight years of Trump’s financial records, Mehta took the extra step of denying the president’s request for a stay pending appeal. Trump Lashes out After Report Bank Found Suspicious Transactions

By Politico. President Donald Trump lashed out at The New York Times on Monday, disputing the paper’s reporting on his relationship with Deutsche Bank and launching into a broader criticism of the news media.

The president appeared to be responding to a Times report that anti-money laundering experts at the German bank noticed suspicious activity in accounts belonging to Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, in 2016 and 2017. According to the Times, bank executives blocked employees from reporting the suspect transactions to the U.S. Treasury, and one former employee says she was fired for raising concerns about the bank’s scrutiny of certain clients. . .

“The Failing New York Times (it will pass away when I leave office in 6 years), and others of the Fake News Media, keep writing phony stories about how I didn’t use many banks because they didn’t want to do business with me,” Trump wrote, kicking off a flurry of posts. “WRONG! It is because I didn’t need money. Very old fashioned, but true. When you don’t need or want money, you don’t need or want banks. Banks have always been available to me, they want to make money.” (Read more from “Trump Lashes out After Report Bank Found Suspicious Transactions” HERE)

RINO Romney Calls GOP Rep. Justin Amash’s Support Trump’s Impeachment “Courageous”; Trump Calls Amash A “Loser”

By Fox News. Rep. Justin Amash, R-Mich., became the first Republican to publicly accuse Trump of engaging in “impeachable conduct” stemming from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s lengthy investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election – earning the little-known congressman praise from Democrats, derision from Republican leadership in the House, and a mixed response from other lawmakers. . .

One member of Congress who was not a fan of Amash’s comments on impeachment was House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., who claimed that his colleague was just seeking attention when he made his comment.

“This is exactly what he wants, he wants to have attention,” McCarthy said on “Sunday Morning Futures.” “You’ve got to understand Justin Amash. He’s been in Congress quite some time. I think he’s asked one question in all the committees that he’s been in. He votes more with Nancy Pelosi than he ever votes with me. It’s a question whether he’s even in our Republican conference as a whole.”

Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, offered a more nuanced appraisal of Amash’s comment, saying on Sunday that he thinks the congressman was “courageous” for speaking against party line . . . Trump Calls Representative Justin Amash a ‘Loser’ over Impeachment Talk

By The New York Times. President Trump attacked Representative Justin Amash as a “total lightweight” and “loser” on Sunday, a day after the Michigan Republican said Mr. Trump’s behavior as president had reached the “threshold for impeachment.” . . .

“Never a fan of @justinamash, a total lightweight who opposes me and some of our great Republican ideas and policies just for the sake of getting his name out there through controversy,” Mr. Trump wrote in a midmorning Twitter riff that included, among other things, criticism of the “Fake News Sunday Political Shows” and boasts about his judicial appointments and health care policies.

“Justin is a loser who sadly plays right into our opponents hands!” he added. (Read more from “Trump Calls Representative Justin Amash a ‘Loser’ over Impeachment Talk” HERE)
