Trump Just Threatened HUGE Tariffs on China

China may back out of trade talks scheduled for this week with U.S. officials after President Donald Trump threatened Beijing with increased tariffs.

Trump said in a Sunday afternoon Twitter post that the current 10% tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese goods will rise to 25% on Friday. He also threatened to impose 25% levies on an additional $325 billion of Chinese goods “shortly.”

Chinese Vice Premier Liu He had planned to bring a large delegation to Washington on Wednesday to hash out a trade deal — and there’d been talk in recent days that something resembling a deal could result. Instead, two sources briefed on the talks said the Chinese side may back out of this week’s negotiations.

That was pegged to Trump’s new threats, they said, which abandon a six-month truce after Beijing waffled on some previously discussed commitments.

One source said the Chinese vice premier will likely cancel the trip he’d planned for himself and a 100-person delegation for the final round of talks that U.S. officials had previously said could yield a deal by Friday. Chinese officials canceled a trip in late September 2018 in similar circumstances. (Read more from “Trump Just Announced HUGE Tariffs on China” HERE)

Bombshell Collusion: DNC Reached out for Dirt on Trump, Ukraine Embassy Confirms

By The Hill. The boomerang from the Democratic Party’s failed attempt to connect Donald Trump to Russia’s 2016 election meddling is picking up speed, and its flight path crosses right through Moscow’s pesky neighbor, Ukraine. That is where there is growing evidence a foreign power was asked, and in some cases tried, to help Hillary Clinton.

In its most detailed account yet, Ukraine’s embassy in Washington says a Democratic National Committee insider during the 2016 election solicited dirt on Donald Trump’s campaign chairman and even tried to enlist the country’s president to help.

In written answers to questions, Ambassador Valeriy Chaly’s office says DNC contractor Alexandra Chalupa sought information from the Ukrainian government on Paul Manafort’s dealings inside the country, in hopes of forcing the issue before Congress. . .

Chaly says that, at the time of the contacts in 2016, the embassy knew Chalupa primarily as a Ukrainian-American activist, and learned only later of her ties to the DNC. He says the embassy considered her requests an inappropriate solicitation of interference in the U.S. election.

“The Embassy got to know Ms. Chalupa because of her engagement with Ukrainian and other diasporas in Washington D.C., and not in her DNC capacity. We’ve learned about her DNC involvement later,” Chaly said in a statement issued by his embassy. “We were surprised to see Alexandra’s interest in Mr. Paul Manafort’s case. It was her own cause. The Embassy representatives unambiguously refused to get involved in any way, as we were convinced that this is a strictly U.S. domestic matter. Ukraine Embassy Says DNC Operative Reached out for Dirt on Trump in 2016

By Fox News. Ukraine’s embassy wrote that a Democratic National Committee (DNC) insider reached out in 2016 seeking dirt on President Trump’s team, according to a bombshell new report Thursday that further fueled Republican allegations that Democrats were the ones improperly colluding with foreign agents during the campaign.

Ambassador Valeriy Chaly said DNC contractor Alexandra Chalupa pushed for Ukraine’s then-President Petro Poroshenko to mention Paul Manafort’s ties to Ukraine publicly during a visit to the U.S., and sought detailed financial information on his dealings in the country, The Hill reported. At the time, Manafort was Trump’s campaign chairman. . .

Chaly continued: “All ideas floated by Alexandra were related to approaching a Member of Congress with a purpose to initiate hearings on Paul Manafort or letting an investigative journalist ask President Poroshenko a question about Mr. Manafort during his public talk in Washington, D.C.” . . .

However, Chalupa acknowledged that she met with “representatives of the Ukrainian Embassy,” but said the topic of conversation was an “Immigrant Heritage Month women’s networking event.” She also told CNN that when Manafort was named Trump’s campaign chairman, she flagged for the DNC that Manafort had worked with the Russian-backed Viktor Yanukovych, Ukrainian’s president at the time.

Federal Election Commission (FEC) records confirm that Chalupa’s firm provided various services to the DNC in 2016, and that the DNC paid Chalupa more than $412,000 from 2004 to 2016. Chalupa had other clients besides the DNC during that period. (Read more from “Ukraine Embassy Says DNC Operative Reached out for Dirt on Trump in 2016” HERE)

Donald Trump: ‘Terrorism Against People of All Faiths Must End’

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump denounced terrorist attacks against people of faith on Wednesday, citing recent attacks on Jews, Christians, and Muslims.

“We mourn for the Christians murdered in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday and grieve for the Muslims murdered at their mosques in New Zealand,” Trump said. “Here at home, we also remember the three historically black churches burned recently in Louisiana and the horrific shooting last year at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.” . . .

“Violence and terrorism against people of all faiths must end and it must end now,” he said, as the audience applauded. (Read more from “Donald Trump: ‘Terrorism Against People of All Faiths Must End'” HERE)

Actor Baldwin Says Trump ‘Fooled All These Flyover Americans’

By Fox News. Actor Alec Baldwin blasted President Trump for not changing his personality since taking office and for fooling “all these flyover Americans” into backing his candidacy in 2016.

Appearing on PBS’ “Amanpour & Co” on Monday night, the “30 Rock” star began by saying how everyone who has had the job as president changed while serving “except” for Trump, who he predicted would be “the only man in American history that the presidency of the United States has had no effect on.”

“After he won, which was horrifying to me, because if you’re a New Yorker, you’re onto Trump — he’s not the host of ‘The Apprentice’ who’s fooled all these flyover Americans that he’s this crack businessman,” Baldwin said. “We kind of know he’s something else. But even so, when he won, I thought to myself, he’s gonna change. Give it a year, and we’ll see a different Trump.

“And no. He’s the same now, which — this is the real tragedy — he’s exactly the same today as he was back in November of 2016.” (Read more from “Actor Baldwin Says Trump ‘Fooled All These Flyover Americans'” HERE)

Joy Behar Claims Trump ‘Culprit’ Behind Synagogue Attack. Here’s the Truth.

ABC’s “The View” co-host Joy Behar falsely claimed on Monday that President Donald Trump was “the culprit” behind the tragic attack on a California synagogue over the weekend. . .

Behar, a leftist, sought to immediately politicize the attack when the show ran again on Monday by falsely claiming that Trump was “the culprit” behind it and that he needed to take responsibility for it.

“He’s provocative. He gives dog whistles constantly to these people,” Behar said. “Take responsibility for your actions, Mr. President. You are the culprit.”

Behar conveniently did not tell viewers what the alleged terrorist wrote about Trump in his alleged manifesto, where the terrorist answered his own questions so people could know his views. . .

The terrorist hated Trump because of Trump’s love for Israel and the Jewish community.

Pelosi Makes Explosive Claim Against President Trump

By Fox News. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told reporters Monday night that President Trump “has demonstrated on a daily basis his obstruction of justice” amid a conflict between the White House and Congress over the terms of scheduled testimony by Attorney General William Barr before the House Judiciary Committee.

Barr is scheduled to testify before the Senate and House Judiciary panels this week on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report. However, the Justice Department informed the House committee on Sunday that Barr would not attend the scheduled Thursday hearing if committee lawyers seek to question him.

When asked if she had a message for Barr Monday evening, Pelosi said: “Respect the constitution. Honor your oath of office. Honor the request of Congress. For the American people.”

It is unusual for committee counsels to question a witness. But committees can generally make their own rules, and other panels have made similar exceptions. Democrats scheduled a committee vote for Wednesday on a proposal to allow both parties to turn over 30 minutes of questioning per side to staff lawyers. The Justice Department and committee Republicans have balked at this arrangement.

“The Attorney General agreed to appear before Congress,” Justice Department spokesperson Kerri Kupec said late Sunday. “Therefore, Members of Congress should be the ones doing the questioning. He [Barr] remains happy to engage with Members on their questions regarding the Mueller report.” (Read more from “Pelosi Makes Explosive Claim Against President Trump” HERE)

Liberal and Moderate Democrats Unveil an Infrastructure Road Map With No Price Tag as Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer Prepare to Meet Trump

By CNBC. A broad coalition of House Democrats is laying out an infrastructure plan road map that calls on the federal government to provide the majority of funding and warns against repealing environmental regulations.

The resolution, to be introduced Monday, is a joint effort of members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, the moderate Blue Dogs and newly elected Democrats. The groups hope it will provide a framework for party leadership ahead of Tuesday’s scheduled trip to the White House by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for a meeting with President Donald Trump to determine whether there is common ground on what traditionally has been a bipartisan issue.

The resolution calls for significant federal investment in infrastructure, stating that most of the funding should come from the government rather than private entities — a sharp contrast to Trump’s initial plan to leverage $200 billion in federal dollars as an incentive to attract a total of $1 trillion in infrastructure spending. The president’s proposal never gained traction on Capitol Hill, and Trump himself did not seem to fully embrace it. Trump Family Sues Deutsche Bank, Capital One

The Trump family on Monday filed a lawsuit against Deutsche Bank and Capital One to prevent the banks from complying with subpoenas from the House Intelligence and Financial Services Committees, the Washington Examiner reported. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of President Donald Trump, three of his children and the Trump Organization. They allege the Democratic-led subpoenas are being issued to “harass” the president and his family based solely on political differences.

“This case involves congressional subpoenas that have no legitimate or lawful purpose,” the lawsuit says. “The subpoenas were issued to harass President Donald J. Trump, to rummage through every aspect of his personal finances, his businesses and the private information of the president and his family, and to ferret about for any material that might be used to cause him political damage. No grounds exist to establish any purpose other than a political one.”

The House Intelligence and Financial Services Committees sent letters to Deutsche Bank earlier this month. The Committees are interested in Deutsche Bank’s relationship with President Trump because they have given him more than $2 billion in loans over the years. Trump ‘Outs’ Judge Napolitano

By The Daily Caller. President Donald Trump tweeted after Saturday’s rally in Wisconsin an attack on Judge Andrew Napolitano, claiming the judge had come to him privately to ask for a Supreme Court nomination.

“Thank you to brilliant and highly respected attorney Alan Dershowitz for destroying the very dumb legal argument of ‘Judge’ Andrew Napolitano….” Trump began, following his praise of Harvard professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz with an immediate pivot to an attack on Napolitano. . .

Trump appeared to be referring to the fallout from the recently-released Mueller report, which Napolitano has argued on his Fox News Digital show “Judge Napolitano’s Chambers” stands as proof that the president obstructed justice.

Trump: Fox’s Napolitano Asked Me to Pardon His Friend, Put Him on Supreme Court

By The Hill. Napolitano, a former superior court judge in New Jersey, works as a legal analyst for Fox News. In a pair of tweets Saturday evening following his campaign rally in Green Bay, Wis., the president accused the commentator of becoming “very hostile” after Trump supposedly turned him down for the nation’s highest court. . .

The White House did not immediately return a request for comment regarding when the conversation with Napolitano occurred or whom the Fox News commentator supposedly asked Trump to pardon.

Trump frequently showers praise on Fox News figures who are seen as allies of his administration, including Dershowitz, who has defended the president amid the now-concluded investigation into Russia’s election interference and Trump’s campaign. Gun-Grabber Eric Swalwell Attempts to Put CRAZY Blame on Trump for Shooting

By PJ Media. Rep. Eric Swalwell blasted President Trump for sending “thoughts and prayers” to the victims of the Poway, Calif., Chabad synagogue shooting on Saturday, suggesting that the president’s inaction on gun control measures was to blame for the attack. Swalwell, a Democratic presidential candidate, took issue with a tweet from the president.

“Thoughts and prayers to all of those affected by the shooting at the Synagogue in Poway, California,” the president tweeted. “God bless you all. Suspect apprehended. Law enforcement did outstanding job. Thank you!”

For the record, Trump didn’t actually say that. What he did say is this: “Far-left radicals in Congress want to take away your voice, your jobs, your rights, and they especially want to take away your guns. You know that. They want to take away your guns.” Which is absolutely true. Swalwell, you may recall, suggested that if he’s elected president he would consider using the country’s nuclear arsenal to force law-abiding gun owners to turn in their firearms.

Swalwell called in to CNN on Saturday to spread around some more blame. “If you really start to think about it, [such an attack] is not hard to imagine at all. We’re in a country where we have unrestricted weaponry and we have growing hate groups, where we see a failure of leadership to denounce them, and that is a deadly combination.” (Read more from “Gun-Grabber Eric Swalwell Attempts to Put CRAZY Blame on Trump for Shooting” HERE)

Heartbreaking: Family Injured in California Synagogue Attack Had Fled Israel to Escape Gaza Rocket Attacks

By PJ Media. On Saturday, the final day of Passover, a lone gunman entered a Chabad synagogue in Poway, Calif., and opened fire, killing one woman and injuring three other worshippers. A relative of two of the victims told reporters that the family had moved to San Diego to escape the constant rocket attacks coming from Gaza.

John Earnest, 19, has been identified as the shooter who fired on worshippers at Chabad of Poway. 60-year-old Lori Kilbert Kaye was killed in the attack, and Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein was shot in the hand. Noya Dahan, 8, and her uncle, Almog Peretz, 31, both of whom had recently moved to the U.S. from Israel, were also injured. All three have been released from the hospital after being treated for their injuries. . .

“We came from fire to fire,” said Israel Dahan, Noya’s father, who moved his family from Sderot, near the Gaza border, to the San Diego area after their home was hit several times by rockets resulting in injuries. Dahan said the family’s new home in the U.S. has also been targeted by anti-Semites who painted swastikas on the walls.

“This is sad, but I am originally from Sderot, so we know a bit about running from the Kassam rockets,” Peretz, who was shot in the leg, told Israel’s Channel 12 from the hospital. Revealed: This Is the Trump Team’s Campaign Strategy Heading Into 2020

President Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Brad Parscale, discussed the team’s 2020 strategy on Sunday’s episode of “Face the Nation.”

During the discussion, Parscale revealed a few key battleground states that they’re targeting. The goal is simple: to win the same states they won during 2016 but expand to even more states. . .

“I can go across America and say, ‘hey, here is a voter in Minnesota that if I know if I get, you know, 26,000 of these perfect people to show up that didn’t show up last time, I can flip that state.’ So what I do, go find them now,” Parscale explained. “We are spending millions of dollars a month, light years ahead of any campaign in history to build a foundation of who we need to market to, what we need to understand, what we need to say to them and how exactly to deliver to them.” . . .

“There are some key states, obviously, we have to go back and win Michigan again, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, we plan on also being in Minnesota very soon. I think New Mexico is in play in 2020,” Parscale said. “I think New Hampshire. I think we continue to grow the map. I think Nevada, you know, even Colorado. And so those are states we did not win in 2016, I think are open for 2020.”

Although the Trump campaign plans to focus heavily on digital advertising and social media, the ground game, like rallies and campaign events, are still heavily in play.

This Will Disappoint Dems: Poll Reveals How Many Americans Actually Support Trump’s Impeachment

By Breitbart. A new poll shows support for impeaching President Donald Trump has sunk to a new low following the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on now-debunk collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia.

According to an ABC News/Washington Post national survey released Friday, support for impeachment dropped to 37, down from 40 percent in January. Support of the president’s ouster hit a survey high of 49 percent in August. Support rose for the measure to 62 percent among Democrats, yet tumbled 36 percent with independents. Only 10 percent of Republicans support it.

The survey comes after the Department of Justice released a redacted version of the Mueller report earlier this month, which concluded the Trump campaign did not collude or conspire with the Kremlin. Based on the special counsel’s findings, Attorney General William Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein determined President Trump did not obstruct justice. Barr offered Congressional leaders an opportunity to view certain redacted exceptions unredacted — an offer rebuffed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and fellow top House Democrats. Instead, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler opted to subpoena the full report and its underlying evidence. Barr is also slated to testify before the House Judiciary Committee next Thursday on Mueller’s findings.

A Hill-HarrisX poll released this week shows a majority of respondents believe Barr’s summary last month of the Mueller report was largely accurate. According to The Hill: “Fifty-four percent said they believed the summary was “largely accurate,” while 46 percent said it was “largely inaccurate.”” (Read more from “Poll Reveals How Many Americans Support Trump’s Impeachment” HERE)

Lindsey Graham Once Said President Could Be Impeached for Not Complying With Congressional Oversight

By Newsweek. Senator Lindsey Graham, a close ally of President Donald Trump’s, once said that a president’s refusal to comply with congressional oversight was an impeachable offense.

In a video unearthed from December 1998 circulating on Twitter on Friday, the South Carolina legislator passionately states that Richard Nixon could have been impeached for failing to comply with subpoenas from Congress.

“The day Richard Nixon failed to answer that subpoena is the day he was subject to impeachment because he took the power from Congress over the impeachment process away from Congress, and he became the judge and jury,” Graham said two decades ago.
