U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wants to back out of a critical minerals deal, warning the Ukrainian leader would face big problems if he did.

“He’s trying to back out of the rare earth deal and if he does that he’s got some problems, big, big problems,” Trump told reporters.

Trump ‘Very Angry’ With Putin, Threatens Tariffs on All Russian Oil

US President Donald Trump said Sunday he was “very angry, pissed off” with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, NBC reported, marking a sharp change of tone as Washington seeks to end the war in Ukraine.

NBC’s Kristen Welker said Trump had called her to express his anger over Putin questioning Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s future as a leader — something that Trump himself has done.

Welker, on her NBC show “Meet The Press” on Sunday, quoted directly from an early-morning telephone conversation with the president.

Trump said that “if Russia and I are unable to make a deal on stopping the bloodshed in Ukraine, and if I think it was Russia’s fault” then he would impose “secondary tariffs on all oil coming out of Russia.”

Judge Blocks Part of Trump’s DEI Executive Order, Calls It a ‘Coercive Threat’

Yet another federal judge has blocked a portion of one of President Donald Trump’s executive orders, arguing that his directive to terminate government contracts with all diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs is a “coercive threat.”

Judge Matthew F. Kennelly of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois signed a memorandum opinion and order on Thursday in favor of a Chicago-based nonprofit that promotes “diversity, equity, and inclusion within the skilled trades industry.”

The organization, Chicago Women in Trades (CWIT), receives roughly 40 percent of its annual budget from the federal government, according to the document.

In a 46-page civil lawsuit filed in February, a month after Trump signed EO 1415, “Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing,” and EO 14173, “Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity.”

As a result of Trump’s orders, CWIT received notices from the Department of Labor (DOL) Women’s Bureau and the Illinois DOL about grants they were funding, stating that all recipients of federal financial assistance are directed to cease all activities related to DEI “effective immediately,” and that the department was “reviewing all active federal awards and will take appropriate action, including terminating the awards, consistent with the Executive Orders.” (Read more from “Judge Blocks Part of Trump’s DEI Executive Order, Calls It a ‘Coercive Threat’” HERE)

Trump More Popular Than Ever – Percentage of Americans Who Think Country Is on the Right Track ‘Through the Roof,’ Says CNN Analyst

President Trump’s popularity is at a record high as the largest share of Americans in decades believe the country is on the right track, according to new polling data.

While the president’s current net-favorable rating is in the negatives — at -4 percentage — he is making steady progress in the right direction. It’s far better than the -10 point rating he had in March 2017 and the -7 point rating Americans gave him after the November election, according to aggregate polling compiled by CNN analyst Harry Enten.

Enten gave the network’s lefty viewers a “reality check” this week with the new poll numbers, showing Trump has a higher favorability rating now than at any point in his first term.

“All we talk about is how unpopular Donald Trump is,” Enten began. “But in reality, he’s basically more popular than he was at any point in term number one and more popular than he was when he won the election back in November of 2024.”

Trump Pulls Stefanik Nomination To Become United Nations Ambassador

On Thursday, President Donald Trump announced that he withdrew the nomination of Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) to become U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

Stefanik appeared for a confirmation back in January, when she called out the “anti-Semitic rot” within the United Nations, and advanced out of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. However, she never got a vote on the Senate floor.

“As we advance our America First Agenda, it is essential that we maintain EVERY Republican Seat in Congress. We must be unified to accomplish our Mission, and Elise Stefanik has been a vital part of our efforts from the very beginning,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “I have asked Elise, as one of my biggest Allies, to remain in Congress to help me deliver Historic Tax Cuts, GREAT Jobs, Record Economic Growth, a Secure Border, Energy Dominance, Peace Through Strength, and much more, so we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”

Trump added: “With a very tight Majority, I don’t want to take a chance on anyone else running for Elise’s seat. The people love Elise and, with her, we have nothing to worry about come Election Day. There are others that can do a good job at the United Nations. Therefore, Elise will stay in Congress, rejoin the House Leadership Team, and continue to fight for our amazing American People. West-Coast Judges Say Trump Admin Must Take in Refugees and Pay for Their Housing

A trio of federal judges in California declared on Tuesday that President Donald Trump must welcome roughly 40,000 refugees approved by President Joe Biden’s deputies.

“We welcome this continued relief for tens of thousands of refugees who will now have the opportunity to restart their lives in the United States,” said Melissa Keaney, the progressive lawyer for the elite-funded, anti-borders International Refugee Assistance Project.

In a second courtroom in Seattle, another federal judge ordered the Trump administration to keep paying the quasi-government agencies that settle the refugees in Americans’ crowded housing, schools, and workplaces, such as in Springfield, Ohio.

The judges’ policy preferences are likely to be appealed by Trump’s deputies. The decisions contradict his legal claim that presidents have full authority over who gets to cross the U.S. borders. The judges’ views also contradict Trump’s election mandate to reduce the civic burden of migration.

But the progressives’ lawsuits are good news for their allies among the nation’s meatpacking companies. Many of the companies rely on the progressives to supply them with cheap, subsidized, and healthy workers to replace prior refugees worn by tough working conditions in the plants, where chains on the disassemply lines often deliver 300 carcasses per hour. Atlantic Publishes Signal Chat ‘War Plans’ After Trump Administration Denied Their Existence

The Atlantic published the “war plans” it originally withheld in its Monday article revealing that its editor-in-chief had been accidentally added to a Signal group chat with a coalition of cabinet leaders having sensitive foreign policy discussions.

Editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg published a piece on Monday explaining that he had been accidentally added to a group chat on Signal, a secure messaging platform used by many politicians and journalists, by National Security Adviser Mike Waltz. The group chat, named “Houthi PC small group,” included a number of high-ranking cabinet officials, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Vice President JD Vance.

The cabinet members discussed the military’s plans to bomb the Houthi rebels and had debates over whether the American people would understand why the US was getting involved. Goldberg noted that he was excluding a message from Hegseth in his report because it contained what Goldberg described as “war plans” — he wrote that the message “contained operational details of forthcoming strikes on Yemen, including information about targets, weapons the U.S. would be deploying, and attack sequencing.”

After administration officials denied that “war plans” were discussed and that no classified information was shared, The Atlantic published the texts Hegseth sent detailing when the U.S. would depart for the attack, the weapons packages used and the order of operations.
