Video shows a mob descending on an intersection in Orange County, Florida, causing a frightening scene the night of November 30.
The group of approximately 30 individuals took over the intersection at South John Young Parkway and Central Florida Parkway then set fires and performed dangerous stunts with their vehicles, Fox 35 reported Friday.
“And seeing the video, that video is nuts,” one driver told WFTV. “If you look on TikTok, that’s all you see. Donuts, street racing, and they’re idiots because they’re getting hit by their own cars. They have no, apparently no care of what it costs”:
“The situation escalated as participants harassed innocent drivers, blocked them from passing, and in some cases, climbed on and damaged vehicles,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post Thursday.
“This reckless and violent behavior poses a serious danger to our community and we are committed to holding those responsible accountable,” the agency continued. (Read more from “Watch — ‘They’re Idiots’: Mob Performs Fiery Street Takeover at Florida Intersection” HERE)
Florida is suing FEMA for allegedly discriminating against supporters of President-elect Donald Trump after a Daily Wire report revealed a supervisor directed relief workers in the Sunshine State to “avoid homes advertising Trump.”
The suit, from Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, alleges that FEMA Director Deanne Criswell and now-fired supervisor Marn’i Washington conspired against the civil rights of Trump supporters in Lake Placid, Florida. The suit comes after whistleblowers told The Daily Wire they were directed to bypass the homes of people with Trump flags or yard signs when canvassing homes in Lake Placid to see if they qualified for hurricane assistance after Hurricane Milton.
“While the facts will continue to come out over the weeks and months, it is already clear that Defendant Washington conspired with senior FEMA officials, as well as those carrying out her orders, to violate the civil rights of Florida citizens,” the suit says.
The suit, which cites reporting from The Daily Wire, accuses both Criswell and Washington of illegally depriving Trump supporters of federal aid. Moody filed the suit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Pierce Division.
“Hurricane season is not over, and the federal agency in charge of emergency response is embroiled in scandal – caught withholding aid from storm victims in Florida who support President Trump,” Moody said in a statement. “I am taking swift legal action to find out how far this political discrimination reaches and to make sure all Americans who fall victim to devastating storms are served, regardless of their political affiliation.” (Read more from “Florida Sues FEMA For ‘Conspiring’ To Deny Disaster Relief To Trump Supporters” HERE)
Florida voters are projected to defeat two constitutional amendment proposals seeking to enshrine abortion and marijuana legalization into the state’s constitution.
As of this article’s publication, preliminary election results show both initiatives below the 60 percent threshold required for passage. The Florida Constitution requires proposed constitutional amendments to be approved by at least 60 percent of eligible voters to go into effect.
As The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd previously reported, Amendment 4 sought to “effectively enshrine abortion through birth in the Sunshine State’s constitution and eliminate safeguards designed to protect women and children.”
“The amendment itself is laced with vague terminology like ‘viability,’ which can easily be exploited to ensure abortion at any point in gestation, and includes language that gets rid of parental consent,” Boyd wrote. “It also includes provisions for medical professionals to deem abortion at any stage of pregnancy necessary for a woman’s “health,” physical, emotional, or mental.”
The initiative was also marred by concerns of deception and signature fraud in the months leading up to Election Day. (Read more from “Florida Voters Defeat Pro-Abortion, Marijuana Ballot Amendments” HERE)
A drug dealer in South Florida has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after distributing fentanyl that led to the overdose death of a baby in 2022, NBC6 reported this week.
Darnell Mendez, 36, was sentenced Tuesday and will have five years of supervised released in addition to his prison sentence, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida.
Both Mendez and his girlfriend, Samantha Yi, pled guilty in the case. Yi is facing at least 20 years in prison, with her sentencing scheduled for Jan. 9, the report states.
Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies had responded to a 911 call on March 31, 2022, for an infant in distress. When they got to the scene, they found a 10-month-old who had ingested fentanyl.
The baby taken to a Boynton Beach hospital and then transferred to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood. She died days later on April 5, 2022. (Read more from “Drug Dealer Gets 30 Years Behind Bars for Baby’s Fentanyl Death” HERE)

The cruel Florida dog owner who left his pooch tied to a fence in floodwaters on the side of a highway as Hurricane Milton barreled down on the Sunshine State last week has been caught.
Giovanny Aldama Garcia was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated animal cruelty, a third-degree felony.
Garcia admitted leaving the canine, a white bull terrier, on Interstate 75 as he raced toward Georgia ahead of the storm.
The 23-year-old told officials he left his dog, Jumbo, because he “couldn’t find anyone to pick the dog up,” according to Hillsborough County State Attorney Suzy Lopez.
“In Hillsborough County, we take animal cruelty very seriously. This defendant is charged with a felony and could face up to five years in prison for his actions,” Lopez said. “Quite frankly, I don’t think that is enough. Hopefully, lawmakers take a look at this case and discuss changing the law to allow for harsher penalties for people who abandon their animals during a state of emergency.” (Read more from “Cruel Owner Who Tied Dog to Fence in Hurricane Milton Evacuation Says He Did It Because He ‘Couldn’t Find Anyone’ To Pick the Terrier Up” HERE)

Former Democratic Rep. Peter Deutsch of Florida publicly endorsed former President Donald Trump on Monday, citing dissatisfaction with President Joe Biden’s approach to global conflicts.
Deutsch, who served Florida’s 20th Congressional District for six terms from 1993-2005, endorsed Trump during a campaign call commemorating the anniversary of the Hamas attacks on Israel, according to The Hill. Deutsch criticized the Biden administration for what he perceives as a lack of leadership in addressing international crises, particularly those affecting global peace.
“I feel very comfortable today publicly announcing that I’m endorsing Donald Trump to be reelected as president,” Deutsch said, The Hill reported. “Driving force for me to make this decision is what I believe is the most important factor in being president, which is really world peace.”

By Breitbart. Authorities rescued people trapped by floodwaters and more than 3 million customers were in the dark across much of the southeastern U.S. as Hurricane Helene weakened to a tropical storm over Georgia early Friday after making landfall overnight in northwestern Florida as a Category 4 storm.
Helene came ashore amid warnings from the National Hurricane Center that the enormous system could create a “nightmare” storm surge. . .
Video on social media sites showed sheets of rain coming down in Perry, Florida, near where Helene made landfall, and siding being torn off buildings. One local news station showed a home that had flipped over. The community and much of surrounding Taylor County were without power. . .
With maximum sustained winds of 70 mph (110 kph) , Helene continued to weaken while moving farther inland over Georgia. The storm was about 40 miles (65 kilometers) east of Macon and about 100 miles (165 kilometers) southeast of Atlanta, moving north at 30 mph (48 kph) at 5 a.m., the hurricane center in Miami reported.
“We expect it to weaken further. It’s going to turn northward and turn northwestward and eventually move into Tennessee and Kentucky, and merge with a funnel system up in that area,” said Jack Beven, a senior hurricane specialist at the National Hurricane Center. Hurricane Helene Updates: 44 Dead Across the South
By ABC News. Helene made landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region Thursday night as a massive Category 4 hurricane — the strongest hurricane to make landfall in the Big Bend on record.
Helene has since weakened and is now post-tropical, but its remnants will continue to produce dangerous weather. The center of the storm is now over Kentucky with heavy rain and gusty winds across a large area from Missouri to Ohio to the Carolinas.
At least 44 people have died from Hurricane Helene.
In Georgia, 15 people were killed, including a first responder who was trying to save others, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said.
In McDuffie County, just west of Augusta, a mother and her twin infants were among the victims, officials said. (Read more from “Hurricane Helene Updates: 44 Dead Across the South” HERE)

By Daily Mail. Ryan Wesley Routh, the man named as the suspect in a possible assassination attempt near Donald Trump’s Florida golf club, was calm and emotionless when he was arrested Sunday.
Registered Democrat Routh, 58 is in custody after the terrifying incident at Trump International Club almost exactly two months after a separate assassination attempt against Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The suspect was found unarmed, as a backpack, GoPro camera and AK-47 style rifle that a gunman left behind when fleeing the scene have already been located.
Martin County Sherriff William D. Snyder said Routh ‘was not displaying a lot of emotions’ when police arrested him.
Snyder added that the suspected shooter was ‘relatively calm’ and ‘never asked’ why he was being detained. (Read more from “Trump Shooter Revealed” HERE)
Alleged Would-Be Trump Assassin Ryan Routh, 58, of Hawaii Echoed Harris, Biden’s Anti-Trump Rhetoric as He Backed Dem Candidates
By New York Post. The alleged gunman who authorities said targeted former President Trump while he golfed in Florida Sunday afternoon previously declared on social media that “Democracy is on the ballot” this year, and “we cannot lose” — echoing the anti-Trump rhetoric used by Vice President Kamala Harris and President Biden. . .
Routh, who has a lengthy criminal record from North Carolina, frequently posted about politics and exclusively donated to Democratic candidates and causes dating back to 2019. . .
He also bashed Trump in an April 22 post on X in which he declared, “DEMOCRACY is on the ballot and we cannot lose.”
He advised Biden, 81, in an April 22 X post when he was still running for reelection, to run a campaign around keeping “America democratic and free.”
He claimed Trump wants to “make Americans slaves against master.” (Read more from “Alleged Would-Be Trump Assassin Ryan Routh, 58, of Hawaii Echoed Harris, Biden’s Anti-Trump Rhetoric as He Backed Dem Candidates” HERE)

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood announced Monday that his office arrested a 11-year-old middle school student who allegedly threatened to shoot up his school.
Chitwood shared a photo and video allegedly showing the Florida middle schooler’s arsenal.
The officer wrote that the middle schooler, Carlo “Kingston” Dorelli, “had written a list of names and targets” and tried to play it off like “it was all a joke.”
As promised. We just arrested a Creekside Middle School student who made threats to commit a school shooting at Creekside or Silver Sands Middle School.
Chitwood listed the recovered weapons as “airsoft guns, fake ammunition, knives, swords and other weapons he was showing off to other students on video” and said that the student was “charged with a felony (making a written threat of a mass shooting).” Chitwood released a mug shot of the 11-year-old.
