Mysterious Fog With ‘Chemical Smell’ Envelops Florida, Residents Fall Ill

Residents in Florida have recently reported experiencing a strange fog with a distinctive chemical smell in various parts of the state. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued dense fog advisories near Jacksonville and Tallahassee, extending from Tuesday to Wednesday. While fog is not unusual in this region, many locals are noticing differences in its appearance and smell, leading to concerns about its true nature.

In addition to visibility issues, there have been reports of adverse health effects associated with the fog. Symptoms such as coughing, sore throats, and lethargy have been commonly mentioned. Others have noted unusual gut issues and a metallic taste when in close proximity to the fog. These occurrences are reminiscent of a similar event last month, which also featured fog with a metallic odor.

Discussion online has given rise to theories about the fog resulting from chemical or biological agents. Comparisons have been drawn to historical events like Operation Sea Spray, a 1950s U.S. Navy experiment involving the dispersion of bacteria off the coast of San Francisco, infecting residents. FBI Claims to Disrupt Florida Plot to Attack Pro-Israel Organization

The FBI filed court documents this week accusing Gainesville, Florida, resident Forrest Kendall Pemberton of plotting to attack the South Florida offices of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) with multiple firearms.

Pemberton, 26, was reported missing by his father on December 23. His father, unnamed in police reports, told the Gainesville police department he received a text message from Pemberton advising him to look in the backpack he left in his bedroom.

The backpack proved to contain a “concerning” note that “espoused anti-authority sentiments” and looked disturbingly like a farewell message. Pemberton’s father added that his son had previously “espoused antisemitic views.”

Pemberton’s father said the search history in his son’s browser included various government offices and prominent entities, such as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Social Security Administration (SSA), Blackrock, the World Economic Forum (WEF), and AIPAC. Pemberton’s searches also included information on various assassination methods, including the use of poisons and vehicles as weapons.

Most disturbingly under the circumstances, Pemberton owned several firearms, including two rifles and a pistol, which were missing from his room. His father thought he might have been planning an assault similar to the December 4 murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Homeowner Fatally Guns Down Masked Intruder, Sheriff Says Criminals ‘Should Expect’ It

A Florida sheriff said intruders should “expect to be shot” after releasing information about a homeowner who opened fire at two masked men trying to break into his house, killing one.

The deceased suspect was identified as 23-year-old Jorge Nestevan Flores-Toledo, from Mexico, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

The second suspect, Michel Soto-Mella, 39, an illegal immigrant from Chile, is charged with armed burglary, with additional charges pending, according to the sheriff’s office.

Just after 9 p.m. Thursday, the Manatee County homeowner saw the two men entering the back of his house on his video surveillance system, according to authorities.

“He knew something bad was about to happen and he didn’t stall,” MCSO Sheriff Rick Wells said during a press conference Friday. “He grabbed his firearm [and] told his wife to get into a safe spot.” (Read more from “Homeowner Fatally Guns Down Masked Intruder, Sheriff Says Criminals ‘Should Expect’ It” HERE)

Watch — ‘They’re Idiots’: Mob Performs Fiery Street Takeover at Florida Intersection

Video shows a mob descending on an intersection in Orange County, Florida, causing a frightening scene the night of November 30.

The group of approximately 30 individuals took over the intersection at South John Young Parkway and Central Florida Parkway then set fires and performed dangerous stunts with their vehicles, Fox 35 reported Friday.

“And seeing the video, that video is nuts,” one driver told WFTV. “If you look on TikTok, that’s all you see. Donuts, street racing, and they’re idiots because they’re getting hit by their own cars. They have no, apparently no care of what it costs”:

“The situation escalated as participants harassed innocent drivers, blocked them from passing, and in some cases, climbed on and damaged vehicles,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post Thursday.

“This reckless and violent behavior poses a serious danger to our community and we are committed to holding those responsible accountable,” the agency continued. (Read more from “Watch — ‘They’re Idiots’: Mob Performs Fiery Street Takeover at Florida Intersection” HERE)

Florida Sues FEMA For ‘Conspiring’ To Deny Disaster Relief To Trump Supporters

Florida is suing FEMA for allegedly discriminating against supporters of President-elect Donald Trump after a Daily Wire report revealed a supervisor directed relief workers in the Sunshine State to “avoid homes advertising Trump.”

The suit, from Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, alleges that FEMA Director Deanne Criswell and now-fired supervisor Marn’i Washington conspired against the civil rights of Trump supporters in Lake Placid, Florida. The suit comes after whistleblowers told The Daily Wire they were directed to bypass the homes of people with Trump flags or yard signs when canvassing homes in Lake Placid to see if they qualified for hurricane assistance after Hurricane Milton.

“While the facts will continue to come out over the weeks and months, it is already clear that Defendant Washington conspired with senior FEMA officials, as well as those carrying out her orders, to violate the civil rights of Florida citizens,” the suit says.

The suit, which cites reporting from The Daily Wire, accuses both Criswell and Washington of illegally depriving Trump supporters of federal aid. Moody filed the suit Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Pierce Division.

“Hurricane season is not over, and the federal agency in charge of emergency response is embroiled in scandal – caught withholding aid from storm victims in Florida who support President Trump,” Moody said in a statement. “I am taking swift legal action to find out how far this political discrimination reaches and to make sure all Americans who fall victim to devastating storms are served, regardless of their political affiliation.” (Read more from “Florida Sues FEMA For ‘Conspiring’ To Deny Disaster Relief To Trump Supporters” HERE)

Florida Voters Defeat Pro-Abortion, Marijuana Ballot Amendments

Florida voters are projected to defeat two constitutional amendment proposals seeking to enshrine abortion and marijuana legalization into the state’s constitution.

As of this article’s publication, preliminary election results show both initiatives below the 60 percent threshold required for passage. The Florida Constitution requires proposed constitutional amendments to be approved by at least 60 percent of eligible voters to go into effect.

As The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd previously reported, Amendment 4 sought to “effectively enshrine abortion through birth in the Sunshine State’s constitution and eliminate safeguards designed to protect women and children.”

“The amendment itself is laced with vague terminology like ‘viability,’ which can easily be exploited to ensure abortion at any point in gestation, and includes language that gets rid of parental consent,” Boyd wrote. “It also includes provisions for medical professionals to deem abortion at any stage of pregnancy necessary for a woman’s “health,” physical, emotional, or mental.”

The initiative was also marred by concerns of deception and signature fraud in the months leading up to Election Day. (Read more from “Florida Voters Defeat Pro-Abortion, Marijuana Ballot Amendments” HERE)

Drug Dealer Gets 30 Years Behind Bars for Baby’s Fentanyl Death

A drug dealer in South Florida has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison after distributing fentanyl that led to the overdose death of a baby in 2022, NBC6 reported this week.

Darnell Mendez, 36, was sentenced Tuesday and will have five years of supervised released in addition to his prison sentence, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida.

Both Mendez and his girlfriend, Samantha Yi, pled guilty in the case. Yi is facing at least 20 years in prison, with her sentencing scheduled for Jan. 9, the report states.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies had responded to a 911 call on March 31, 2022, for an infant in distress. When they got to the scene, they found a 10-month-old who had ingested fentanyl.

The baby taken to a Boynton Beach hospital and then transferred to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood. She died days later on April 5, 2022. (Read more from “Drug Dealer Gets 30 Years Behind Bars for Baby’s Fentanyl Death” HERE)

Cruel Owner Who Tied Dog to Fence in Hurricane Milton Evacuation Says He Did It Because He ‘Couldn’t Find Anyone’ To Pick the Terrier Up

The cruel Florida dog owner who left his pooch tied to a fence in floodwaters on the side of a highway as Hurricane Milton barreled down on the Sunshine State last week has been caught.

Giovanny Aldama Garcia was arrested Monday and charged with aggravated animal cruelty, a third-degree felony.

Garcia admitted leaving the canine, a white bull terrier, on Interstate 75 as he raced toward Georgia ahead of the storm.

The 23-year-old told officials he left his dog, Jumbo, because he “couldn’t find anyone to pick the dog up,” according to Hillsborough County State Attorney Suzy Lopez.

“In Hillsborough County, we take animal cruelty very seriously. This defendant is charged with a felony and could face up to five years in prison for his actions,” Lopez said. “Quite frankly, I don’t think that is enough. Hopefully, lawmakers take a look at this case and discuss changing the law to allow for harsher penalties for people who abandon their animals during a state of emergency.” (Read more from “Cruel Owner Who Tied Dog to Fence in Hurricane Milton Evacuation Says He Did It Because He ‘Couldn’t Find Anyone’ To Pick the Terrier Up” HERE)

Former Dem Rep Endorses Trump, Says Biden-Harris Admin Has Made ‘World A Dramatically Less Safe Place’

Former Democratic Rep. Peter Deutsch of Florida publicly endorsed former President Donald Trump on Monday, citing dissatisfaction with President Joe Biden’s approach to global conflicts.

Deutsch, who served Florida’s 20th Congressional District for six terms from 1993-2005, endorsed Trump during a campaign call commemorating the anniversary of the Hamas attacks on Israel, according to The Hill. Deutsch criticized the Biden administration for what he perceives as a lack of leadership in addressing international crises, particularly those affecting global peace.

“I feel very comfortable today publicly announcing that I’m endorsing Donald Trump to be reelected as president,” Deutsch said, The Hill reported. “Driving force for me to make this decision is what I believe is the most important factor in being president, which is really world peace.”

“And I think that Kamala Harris and the Harris-Biden administration in terms of what they have done and are doing … make the world a dramatically less safe place,” Deutsch added.
