Tucker Carlson’s Prayer Talk May Have Led to Fox News Ouster: “That Stuff Freaks Rupert Out”

. . .[T]he mystery remains: Why did Fox News take its biggest star off the air?

A new theory has emerged. According to the source, Fox Corp. chair Rupert Murdoch removed Carlson over remarks Carlson made during a speech at the Heritage Foundation’s 50th Anniversary gala on Friday night. Carlson laced his speech with religious overtones that even Murdoch found too extreme, the source, who was briefed on Murdoch’s decision-making, said. Carlson told the Heritage audience that national politics has become a manichean battle between “good” and “evil.” Carlson said that people advocating for transgender rights and DEI programs want to destroy America and they could not be persuaded with facts. “We should say that and stop engaging in these totally fraudulent debates…I’ve tried. That doesn’t work,” he said. The answer, Carlson suggested, was prayer. “I have concluded it might be worth taking just 10 minutes out of your busy schedule to say a prayer for the future, and I hope you will,” he said. “That stuff freaks Rupert out. He doesn’t like all the spiritual talk,” the source said.

Carlson declined to comment. A spokesperson for Fox Corp. declined to comment.

It’s been reported that Fox Corp. CEO Lachlan Murdoch and Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott made the decision to fire Carlson on Friday night. Another source, a person close to Murdoch, has said something similar to me. Scott informed Carlson of the decision on Monday morning.

Rupert Murdoch was perhaps unnerved by Carlson’s messianism because it echoed the end-times worldview of Murdoch’s ex-fiancée Ann Lesley Smith, the source said. In my May cover story, I reported that Murdoch and Smith called off their two-week engagement because Smith had told people Carlson was “a messenger from God.” Murdoch had seen Carlson and Smith discuss religion firsthand. In late March, Carlson had dinner at Murdoch’s Bel Air vineyard with Murdoch and Smith, according to the source. During dinner, Smith pulled out a bible and started reading passages from the Book of Exodus, the source said. “Rupert just sat there and stared,” the source said. A few days after the dinner, Murdoch and Smith called off the wedding. By taking Carlson off the air, Murdoch was also taking away his ex’s favorite show. Tucker Fired: Fox News Suddenly Parts with Tucker Carlson; Tucker Carlson’s Mega-Viral Speech the Most Significant of His Entire Life

Tucker Carlson Departs Fox News, Pushed Out by Rupert Murdoch

By Los Angeles Times. Fox News announced the stunning departure of its top-rated host Monday with no explanation, but people familiar with the situation who were not authorized to comment publicly said the decision to fire Carlson came straight from Fox Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch with input from board members and other Fox Corp. executives. . .

Carlson’s exit is related to the discrimination lawsuit filed by Abby Grossberg, the producer fired by the network last month . . . Grossberg was moved off of “Sunday Morning Futures With Maria Bartiromo” and onto “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” where she alleged she was bullied and subjected to antisemitic comments, according to a lawsuit in New York. . .

Murdoch also was said to be concerned about Carlson’s coverage of the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. The host has promoted the conspiracy theory that it was provoked by government agents, and Carlson has called Ray Epps — a Texas man who participated in the storming of the Capitol but did not enter the building — an FBI plant . . .

Carlson’s ouster was not part of the $787.5-million settlement Fox News agreed to pay to Dominion Voting Systems last week, according to a representative for Dominion. (Read more from “Tucker Carlson Departs Fox News, Pushed Out by Rupert Murdoch” HERE)

Tucker Fired: Fox News Suddenly Parts with Tucker Carlson

By Breitbart. Fox News suddenly announced it would part ways with opinion anchor and commentator Tucker Carlson, who hosted the highly rated Tucker Carlson Tonight.

The separation came as a surprise Monday morning. It is unknown why Fox News and Carlson parted ways.

“FOX News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways,” the press release read. “We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.”

“Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21,” the company said. “Fox News Tonight will air live at 8 PM/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating FOX News personalities until a new host is named.”

In April 2020, the Tucker Carlson Tonight program surpassed Hannity as the highest-rated primetime cable show, averaging an audience of 4.56 million viewers. (Read more from “Tucker Fired: Fox News Suddenly Parts with Tucker Carlson” HERE)

Tucker Carlson’s Mega-Viral Speech the Most Significant of His Entire Life — The Outline for Victory…

By Revolver. Many are calling this the best speech Tucker Carlson has ever delivered, and they’re likely right, given how mega-viral it’s gone.

According to Tucker Carlson, the battle in America today is spiritual and it’s between good and evil. That’s how he kicked off his keynote address at The Heritage Foundation’s 50th anniversary gala.

“It’s not a political movement. It’s evil,” Carlson proclaimed about the left’s agenda. He characterized the side of “evil” as violent, hateful, disordered, divisive, unorganized, and filthy. He also admitted that he forgets to pray for America’s protection against these vile creatures—something we should all be doing on a daily basis. . .

Tucker declared that promoting abortion as “good” is actually “child sacrifice.” And that line actually earned him a thunderous round of applause.

As we look around, we see decent Americans caving to the pressures of this evil agenda. Tucker says people are now saying things they don’t believe in – like calling a man a “her” and pretending men can now have babies – and they do it in order to avoid being “canceled” by a small, rabid mob.

Dan Bongino ‘Stunned’ Reacting Live to Fox Parting Ways with Tucker Carlson

By Daily Wire. Popular conservative pundit Dan Bongino reacted with shock upon learning that Fox News parted ways with top-rated host Tucker Carlson.

“I’m stunned. I don’t even know what to say right now,” Bongino, who himself recently split with Fox News, said as his podcast, “The Dan Bongino Show,” was airing live on Monday.

Moments earlier, Bongino said he had “actual goosebumps” after learning the news and receiving multiple text messages from people following Carlson’s departure.

In a move that sent shockwaves through the media sphere, Fox News announced on Monday that the network and Carlson “agreed to part ways,” and the host’s last show was Friday. (Read more from “Dan Bongino ‘Stunned’ Reacting Live to Fox Parting Ways with Tucker Carlson” HERE)

Fox Corporation Loses $1 Billion in Stock Value after Tucker Carlson Exit

Fox Corporation took a major financial hit upon Monday’s sudden announcement that Fox News and primetime host Tucker Carlson had “parted ways.”

The parent company of Fox News, which also owns branded entertainment and sports entities, saw its stock drop more than 5% in value in the minutes after the unexpected announcement.

According to the Washington Examiner, that decline in stock value is worth more than $1 billion.

Mr. Carlson had been the network’s most popular individual host — only “The Five” bested “Tucker Carlson Tonight” in the ratings last year and sometimes Mr. Carlson’s 8 p.m. show would edge out the 5 p.m. panel program.

There had been no public inkling in recent days that Mr. Carlson would soon be leaving Fox News, and neither the network nor Mr. Carlson had specified the reason for their parting by late Monday afternoon. The Fox Dominion Settlement Exposes Dark Truths About the Regime-Media Alliance

You might have missed it, but the most revealing moment of the Dominion/Fox News case that’s been dominating the news cycle didn’t come during discovery. It didn’t come when court filings revealed CEO Suzanne Scott’s angry emails about subscriber losses or Tucker Carlson’s text messages about Donald Trump. It didn’t even come the moment Fox agreed to pony up an eye-watering $787 million to settle Dominion’s claim before going to trial.

No, the most revealing moment of the Dominion saga occurred Tuesday afternoon, when Dominion lawyer Davinda Brook thanked the assembled press for the role they had played in the company’s heist.

“Thank you, to all of you, for being with us on this journey,” Brook said to the crowd of reporters. “We appreciate what you’ve done to help us and to help expose what we were able to discover over the course of this process. So thank you and we’ll see you at the next one.”

Brook’s thanks were well-aimed. Every step of the Dominion lawsuit was a collaborative effort between lawyers and an army of press allies. Their objective: the destruction of a rival press outlet they hated, and the remaking of American defamation laws in order to do it.

The rest of the media went on a gloating spree over Fox’s misfortune.

Extremist Groups With Dark Funding Push Left-Wing Propaganda on U.S. Military Posts (VIDEO)

The U.S. military veterans group VoteVets says its latest ad was rejected by Fox News, but that it has found a way around Fox’s censorship to reach military personnel serving on military bases.

“Fox News Channel wouldn’t run this ad,” the group says, “but tonight @votevets is running it on Tucker Carlson Tonight, Ingraham Angle, & HANNITY.”

VoteVets writes: “VoteVets is running this ad calling for Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham to be removed from military installation TVs. The ad will run during those shows, on cable systems serving those very TVs.”

Tucker Carlson Said He Hates Trump in Private Text Messages: ‘I Can’t Handle Much More of This’

Fox News host Tucker Carlson sent a series of private text messages to his colleague regarding his relationship with former President Trump, which was released by Dominion Voting Systems as part of its defamation suit against the network.

According to a January 4, 2021, text message, Carlson revealed he has a strong dislike toward Trump.

“I hate him passionately,” a text sent by Carlson to a colleague read. “What he’s good at is destroying things. He’s the undisputed world champion of that. He could easily destroy us if we play it wrong.”

Two days before the January 6 Capitol Hill protests, Carlson wrote that he was very close to being done having to talk about the former president on-air.

“We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. I truly can’t wait,” Carlson wrote. (Read more from “Tucker Carlson Said He Hates Trump in Private Text Messages: ‘I Can’t Handle Much More of This'” HERE)

Male Fox News Star Fired, Another Accused of Sexually Harassing Young Men, Vulgarity

. . .Fox News has fired legal analyst Andrew Napolitano after a male producer accused him of sexual harassment.

John Fawcett works on Larry Kudlow’s show on Fox Business Network and is now suing Fox claiming he was sexually harassed by Napolitano. He said the on-air personality stroked his arm and made suggestive comments while they were on an elevator together.

Fawcett also alleges in his lawsuit, which has been filed in the state Supreme Court in Manhattan, that “sexual harassment, sex discrimination, and racial discrimination are still tolerated at Fox.” . . .

Fawcett is also complaining about Larry Kudlow whose show he began working for after Fox canceled Dobb’s show. The producer said he heard Kudlow use slurs and make sexually inappropriate remarks “in front of multiple staffers,” including a senior vice president and himself, and there was no recrimination. . .

In his lawsuit, Fawcett alleges that Kudlow made inappropriate comments about wanting to have a three-way with a Fox Anchor. (Read more from “Male Fox News Star Fired, Another Accused of Sexually Harassing Young Men, Vulgarity” HERE)

Fox News Accuses Dominion of Destroying Messages of ‘Senior Executives,’ Seeks Sanctions Dismissing Multi-Billion Dollar Suit

Fox News accused Dominion Voting Systems of having destroyed or deleted messages from some of its highest ranking executives. Their sanctions motion asks a judge to torpedo the multi-billion dollar lawsuit.

Court papers reviewed by Law&Crime are thin on details regarding the network’s allegations, except that the notice of motion for sanctions alleges spoliation of the electronic messages of senior executives [John] Poulos, [Waldeep] Singh, and [Kay] Stinson.”

Poulos is Dominion’s CEO, who as recently as Sunday appeared on 60 Minutes with Anderson Cooper. Singh is its executive vice president of sales, and Stinson is its vice president for government affairs.

The doctrine of spoliation generally refers to “the destruction, concealment or the failure to preserve evidence by one party that is relevant to a claim and hampers the other party’s ability to advance its position.” If a party is found to have acted in such a manner, the court can impose sanctions against that party or even dismiss the complaint. It’s Official: Fox News Hires a Tranny

FOX News Media has signed Caitlyn Jenner as a contributor, CEO Suzanne Scott announced on Thursday.

Jenner, a former California gubernatorial candidate who ran as a Republican, will provide analysis across Fox News platforms, beginning with an appearance on Thursday’s edition of “Hannity.” . . .

Jenner has been in the public eye for decades, becoming a household name during the 1976 Summer Olympic Games in Montreal by capturing the gold medal and setting a world record in the decathlon. Jenner, then known as Bruce, came out as transgender and began publicly identifying as a female in 2015. (Read more from “It’s Official: Fox News Hires a Tranny” HERE)
