Franklin Graham After Second Trump Assassination Attempt: ‘We Need to Pray for This Man’

Reverend Franklin Graham on Sunday asked people to intercede through prayer for former President Donald Trump following an apparent second assassination attempt.

“It’s evening here in Rome where I am, but the news is reporting that shots were fired in President @realDonaldTrump’s vicinity in Florida. There aren’t many details available yet, but as they try to determine what exactly happened, this is a strong reminder that we need to pray for this man,” Graham wrote in a social media post:

Social media users reacted to his post with many telling Graham they were already on it. “Pray without ceasing…” one person wrote, while another individual said, “I pray Lord for Donald Trumps safety!!!! Amen.”

“In prayer for him daily,” someone else commented.

Trump is safe following what the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said was an apparent second assassination attempt against the former president this year, Breitbart News reported on Sunday. The first attempt was during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July when a bullet struck Trump’s ear and left his face bloodied as he was speaking to the crowd. Franklin Graham Says God ‘Spared’ Trump’s Life After Assassination Attempt

Donald Trump had a near death experience, “no question. But God spared his life,” evangelist Franklin Graham said Thursday on the final night of the Republican National Convention, just days after a gunman attempted to kill the former president at a Pennsylvania rally.

“When we go through those experiences, it changes us. It can cause us to examine our lives and to reevaluate our priorities, as it should,” Graham said in Milwaukee.

“When President Trump rose from that platform, he rose with his fist raised in strength, showing America his unshakable resolve to fight for them in this nation. I cannot explain why God would save one life and allow another one to be taken. I don’t have the answer for that. But one thing I do know is that God loves us, and he wants us to be with him in heaven one day. And that’s through faith in His Son Jesus Christ,” he added.

Hundreds in Arizona Surrender to Christ at Franklin Graham’s Frontera Tour

In a profound spiritual gathering on Thursday night, the “God Loves You Frontera Tour” led by renowned evangelist Franklin Graham saw hundreds of Arizonans embrace faith, surrendering their lives to Christ. The tour, making its way across the southern United States border, reached a pivotal moment in Yuma, Arizona, where over 7,600 people converged at the Yuma County Fairgrounds for a night of spiritual awakening.

Evangelist Franklin Graham shared the joyous news, revealing that “hundreds came forward at God’s invitation to confess their sins, surrender their lives to Him, and believe on the name of His Son, Jesus Christ.” The event was not just a spiritual experience but also featured live music from Christian artists like Taya and Marcos Witt.

Photos shared by Graham, the son of the late televangelist Billy Graham, depicted families gathered in prayer, showcasing a powerful testament to the communal and familial aspect of the spiritual journey. The Yuma event marked the second to last stop of the “God Loves You Frontera Tour,” with the grand finale scheduled for Saturday in Chula Vista, California.

Prior stops on the tour included events in Tucson, Arizona, and the border town of Eagle Pass, Texas.

The Frontera Tour has been a beacon of hope and faith since its inception in 2017, with Graham conducting outreach tours in 77 cities across 28 states. The tour’s webpage proudly states that these events have reached over 570,000 people, with more than 34,000 individuals deciding to follow Jesus Christ.

Dozens Dead, Lahaina ‘Burned to the Ground’; Franklin Graham Urges Prayer for Those Affected by Hawaii Wildfires (VIDEO)

Christian evangelist Franklin Graham is calling for prayer for those affected by the devastating wildfires in Hawaii, which have already claimed the lives of dozens of people.

“The Island of Maui has been engulfed in deadly wildfires — 36 people have already been confirmed dead. The historic town of Lahaina burned to the ground. Thousands have evacuated,” Graham said, laying out the devastating state of affairs. . .

The wildfires, which rapidly took hold, have claimed the lives of at least 36 people, and according to Hawaii Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI), “the number of dead continues to rise.”

The town of Lahaina, on Hawaii’s island of Maui, has seen some of the worst devastation, as the fire essentially reduced the coastal city to ruins. Images are continuing to surface across social medial showcasing the devastation, as some describe the aftermath as akin to a “war zone.”

Franklin Graham Laments War, Violence, Socialism in New Year’s Message; Says Anti-God Agenda will Get Worse

Rev. Franklin Graham said Saturday the world appeared to be in a dire situation as another year dawned but advised fellow Christians on how to move forward.

“As we begin 2023, the world we live in seems to be imploding. A brutal war is bringing suffering and death in Ukraine with every day that passes,” he wrote in a social media post:

“Senseless violence is rampant across the United States. Anti-God agendas that once hid in the darkness are now proudly out in the open, demanding acceptance,” he stated.

“Developed nations are being overtaken by socialism, removing God from anything and everything in the public square. And if you think things are bad, just wait — they’ll get worse,” Graham explained.

Last week, Russian missiles slammed Ukraine which injured several people and cut off electricity, according to AFP. (Read more from “Franklin Graham Laments War, Violence, Socialism in New Year’s Message” HERE)

Franklin Graham Hammered Homosexual Agenda in 2022

Throughout 2022, Graham frequently made headlines for weighing in on current events and political issues that were at odds with Christian doctrine and religious liberty. For example, the Christian leader derided the so-called Respect for Marriage Act, billed by supporters as a necessary step to codify the right to same-sex marriage into federal law, as “dangerous legislation that would be used against individuals, churches and organizations who honor traditional marriage.”

While the legislation included a religious liberty amendment, critics contended that it did not go far enough to protect the conscience rights of faith-based business owners operating in secular industries such as bakers and florists. Both the U.S. Senate and House passed the Respect for Marriage Act with unanimous Democratic support and a significant level of support from congressional Republicans before President Joe Biden signed it into law.

Graham also took issue with singer Amy Grant’s decision to host a same-sex wedding for her niece at her farm. While Grant characterized her embrace of a same-sex wedding as an example of obedience to God’s call to “love God and love each other,” Graham stressed that “For me, loving others also means caring about their souls and where they will spend eternity.”

However, Graham contended that “God defines what is sin, not us; and His Word is clear that homosexuality is sin.”

While Graham mentioned a few of the challenges of 2022, one of the highlights for him came in the form of a legal victory after a judge ruled that a Scottish event venue must pay over $100,000 in damages after canceling an event hosted by the evangelist due to his views on homosexuality and Islam. Franklin Graham Responds to Christian Singer’s Plan To Host Lesbian Wedding: Don’t ‘Compromise’ God’s Authority

The Rev. Franklin Graham criticized contemporary Christian music star Amy Grant after she and her husband announced their plans to host a same-sex wedding for their niece at their farm, denouncing homosexuality as a sin.

In a Sunday Facebook post, Graham, the son of legendary evangelist Billy Graham and head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, said, “God defines what is sin, not us; and His Word is clear that homosexuality is sin.”

Graham took issue with Grant being quoted in a Washington Post article as saying: “Jesus, you just narrowed it down to two things: love God and love each other.” The artist told the outlet about her and her husband’s plans to host her niece’s wedding at their farm. The wedding will be the family’s “first bride and bride” nuptials, according to the report.

The 70-year-old Graham agreed that God calls Christians to love one another but cited John 14:15 to stress that loving the Lord means obeying Him.

“We have all sinned, and in order to have a relationship with God and spend eternity with Him in Heaven, we must turn from our sin and put our faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, who came to earth to die for our sins,” Graham wrote.

Franklin Graham: 10 Republicans Who Voted To Impeach Are Judas

. . .Franklin Graham scolded the 10 Republican House members who “joined with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats in impeaching President Trump yesterday,” Graham wrote on Facebook.

“After all that he has done for our country, you would turn your back and betray him so quickly? We have never had a president like him in my lifetime. He gave us lower taxes, a strong economy, and low unemployment. He made NATO take notice and pay their own way. He had the guts to take on North Korea and meet with their leader personally. He didn’t let China walk all over us. Just his Mideast peace initiatives in the last couple of months deserve a Nobel Peace Prize,” wrote Graham, the CEO of both the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, which is operating a portable hospital in California to help with COVID-19 cases.

“He has defended religious liberty like no president before him, and that matters to all people of faith. He has worked to bring prison reform and secured our southern border. He defeated the ISIS caliphate in Syria, and he strengthened our military. He was also the most pro-life president we have ever had,” Graham said.

“But the House Democrats impeached him because they hate him and want to do as much damage as they can. And these ten, from his own party, joined in the feeding frenzy. It makes you wonder what the thirty pieces of silver were that Speaker Pelosi promised for this betrayal.” (Read more from “Franklin Graham: 10 Republicans Who Voted To Impeach Are Judas” HERE)

‘Christophobic Bigots’ Outraged Over Franklin Graham’s Tent Hospital

An openly gay and anti-Christian New York state senator has condemned Franklin Graham and Samaritan’s Purse for wanting to treat coronavirus patients.

Samaritan’s Purse set up an emergency field tent hospital in Central Park at the request of city officials. The respiratory unit, which will be supervised by Mount Sinai Hospital, can accommodate 68 patients.

“It’s a shame that the federal government has left New York with no other choice but to accept charity from bigots,” State Sen. Brad Hoylman said. “You know those medical tents being constructed in Central Park? They’re being set up by notorious anti-gay bigot Franklin Graham. Mr. Graham must promise to treat EVERY patient with dignity and respect.” . . .

It’s unthinkable that anyone, much less a state lawmaker, would bully a bunch of Christians who simply want to provide medical treatment to critically ill New Yorkers.

“We don’t discriminate against anybody,” Graham said. “Our doors are open for all New Yorkers – regardless of their race, ethnicity or their sexual preference. We treat everybody the same.” (Read more from “‘Christophobic Bigots’ Outraged Over Franklin Graham’s Tent Hospital” HERE)

Franklin Graham Dropped From All UK Tour Venues for Speaking out Against Homosexuality

The Rev. Franklin Graham, a popular evangelist and son of the late Rev. Billy Graham, is planning a four-month gospel-preaching tour through the United Kingdom this summer. . .

CNN reported that on Wednesday an arena in Newcastle became the seventh and final venue to cancel Graham’s scheduled appearance, following similar cancellations by venues in cities across the U.K., including Birmingham, Liverpool, Sheffield, and Glasgow. . .

Forbes, who claims that Graham “peddles controversial, repulsive views about LGBT people” said he was “delighted” to hear the news. . .

More than 5,000 people had signed a petition put on by Northern Pride calling for the event to be canceled. The petition argued that Graham has “publicly promoted homophobia.”

Similar protests have erupted in other U.K. cities over recent weeks. In Liverpool, a local gay pride foundation penned a letter to authorities, saying, the evangelist preacher “is well known” for “promoting hate of LGBT+ people” and “openly supporting conversion therapy.” (Read more from “Franklin Graham Dropped From All UK Tour Venues for Speaking out Against Homosexuality” HERE)

Franklin Graham Again Slams Christianity Today for Anti-Trump Stance; Christianity Today Attacks Trump a Second Time

By Breitbart. Christian evangelist Rev. Franklin Graham on Monday took to social media to once again blast Christianity Today for describing President Donald Trump as “profoundly immoral” in a recently released opinion-editorial. . .

On Thursday, one day after the House approved two articles of impeachment against President Trump, Christianity Today Editor-in-Chief Mark Galli wrote the president’s contacts with Ukraine were both unconstitutional and “profoundly immoral.”

“The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents,” Galli wrote. “That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral.”

Shortly after Galli’s piece was published, Graham revealed his father, Billy Graham, voted for then-candidate Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election because he believed he was the best man to lead the United States.

“My father knew Donald Trump, he believed in Donald Trump, and he voted for Donald Trump,” Graham wrote in a Facebook post on Friday morning. “He believed that Donald J. Trump was the man for this hour in history for our nation.” (Read more from “Franklin Graham Again Slams Christianity Today for Anti-Trump Stance” HERE)

Christianity Today Again Slams Trump, Raises Issue of ‘Unconditional Loyalty’

By Reuters. Christianity Today, the magazine founded by the late Reverend Billy Graham, renewed its criticism of President Donald Trump in a new editorial that cited his “misuses of power” and asked fellow Christians to examine their loyalty to him, days after a controversial editorial that called for his impeachment.

The 130,000-circulation magazine, which has 4.3 million monthly website viewers, in its editorial last week cited Trump’s “profoundly immoral” conduct in office, drawing immediate criticism from Trump and dozens of evangelical leaders.

Evangelicals have been a bedrock of support for the Republican president, and the magazine noted in its new editorial, published Sunday, that Trump “has done a lot of good for causes we all care about.”

But the magazine’s president, Timothy Dalrymple, wrote in the editorial, headlined “The Flag in the Whirlwind,” that evangelicals’ embrace of Trump means being tied to his “rampant immorality, greed, and corruption; his divisiveness and race-baiting; his cruelty and hostility to immigrants and refugees.”

“With profound love and respect,” Dalrymple said, “we ask our brothers and sisters in Christ to consider whether they have given to Caesar what belongs only to God: their unconditional loyalty.” (Read more from “Christianity Today Again Slams Trump, Raises Issue of ‘Unconditional Loyalty'” HERE)
