Biden’s America: Gas Prices Expected to Get Even Worse

U.S. gas prices are expected to start climbing once again after a brief period of reprieve, some industry experts predict.

Gas prices — which have been on the rise for months — consistently hit record highs in March, easily topping well over $4.00 per gallon.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, looking at all grades and formulations in retail gas prices, the U.S. hit an average of $4.322 in March 2022 — roughly $1.70 more than the $2.594 average seen in March 2019, under former President Donald Trump.

However, while Americans have experienced a slowdown in the rise, industry experts expect it to tick back up yet again, as gas price futures rose 30 cents in the last week.

That is “just bad news for the consumer,” Andy Lipow, president of Lipow Oil Associates, said according to Fox News. He believes prices could rise as high as $4.20 per gallon. (Read more from “Biden’s America: Gas Prices Expected to Get Even Worse” HERE)

Bidenflation Causes Divided Democrats to Unite Against Joe Biden

President Biden’s 40-year-high inflation has caused divided Democrats to unite against him.

The far-left and blue dog Democrats are pointing figures at Biden for massive inflation. Biden has attempted to redirect the blame to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but his misdirection play has not worked.

“Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has driven up gas prices and food prices all over the world,” Biden claimed in Iowa on Tuesday. “So everything is going up. We saw it in today’s inflation data.”

Biden’s claim that inflation is only a result of Putin’s actions is incorrect. Inflation was climbing well before “Putin’s price hike.”

Biden’s attempts to make Putin a scapegoat for inflation have not distracted Democrats from targeting Biden for mismanaging the economy, albeit from different perspectives.

Biden Scraps Green Fuel Rules in Bid to Slow Surging Gas Prices

President Joe Biden is expected to announce a temporary pause on an environmental rule that regulates gasoline mix Tuesday, the White House announced.

Biden is set to announce that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will allow energy providers to supply gas stations with 15% ethanol blend fuel throughout the summer, during an event in Menlo, Iowa, on Tuesday, according to a White House fact sheet. Gasoline with 15% ethanol — which has been banned for a decade under the Clean Air Act — will be allowed between June 1 and Sept. 15 as a result of Biden’s action.

“The President is committed to doing everything he can to address the pain Americans are feeling at the pump as a result of Putin’s Price Hike,” the White House said. “The Administration’s strategy to spur the development of homegrown biofuels is critical to expanding Americans’ options for affordable fuel in the short-term and to building real energy independence in the long-term by reducing our reliance on fossil fuels.”

Gasoline prices, which have surged throughout Biden’s 15 months in office, hit record highs in March after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine which disrupted global energy markets dominated by Russian supplies. (Read more from “Biden Scraps Green Fuel Rules in Bid to Slow Surging Gas Prices” HERE)

Survey: 1/3 of Americans Have to Cut Groceries to Buy Gas

Over one-third of Americans say they have had to cut groceries in order to afford gas as prices skyrocket in the second year of Biden’s presidency, a Quinnipiac University survey released this week found.

Gas prices have skyrocketed throughout President Biden’s time in office. As of Thursday, the national gas price average stood at $4.225 per gallon, although some parts of the country are seeing prices well over $6.00 per gallon.

While Biden has deflected, continuing to blame Russia for rising prices and inflation rather than his own bad economic policies and determination to quash American energy independence, not all Americans are buying it. A plurality, 41 percent, directly blame high gas prices on Biden’s economic policies, per the survey.

It also asked respondents, “As a result of the rise in gas prices, have you cut back your spending on groceries so that you can pay for gas, or not?”

Over one-third of Americans, 35 percent, said “yes,” they have had to cut back on groceries. Party by party, 46 percent of Republicans said they have had to cut back on groceries, and 22 percent of Democrats and 36 percent of independent voters say the same. From Farmers to Office Commuters, Here’s How Biden’s Gas Prices Are Hurting Americans Coast-To-Coast

Like those of most Americans, Dennis Johnson’s fuel costs have doubled. He used to spend $25,000 on fuel, and now he spends $50,000 — every month.

Johnson is a sixth-generation Michigan dairy farmer who also raises beef, corn, alfalfa, oats, and sorghum on 5,000 acres. His operations are extensive, with more than 20 tractors, more than 15 semi-trucks, 50 employees, and a trucking business that transports feed, manure, sand, and the farm’s milk production. The skyrocketing cost of fuel isn’t the first blow to the business either; it’s just hitting them when they’re already down. . .

Allison, who asked that we withhold her last name due to employment concerns, isn’t operating a 5,000-acre farm, but she is driving 50 minutes each way to and from the Minnesota public school where she teaches. Gas prices are hitting her hard.

The commute to and from the school, which is located in the Twin Cities suburbs, had so far been worth it because she loves the at-risk and underprivileged children she gets to work with. She’s in her third year, is up for tenure, and has lots of sick time banked, which could come in handy as she and her husband look ahead to starting a family.

“These gas prices are making me wonder if I committed too soon to returning next year,” she told The Federalist. (Read more from “From Farmers to Office Commuters, Here’s How Biden’s Gas Prices Are Hurting Americans Coast-To-Coast” HERE)

Biden Says He ‘Can’t Do Much’ About Rising Gas Prices Hours After Saying He’ll Do ‘Everything’ in His Power to Minimize It

President Joe Biden said Tuesday he “can’t do much right now” about rising gas prices and put the blame squarely on Russia.

The president announced a ban on U.S. imports of Russian energy earlier Tuesday amid Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine. Speaking at the White House, Biden warned that the move “is not without cost here at home” but promised to do “everything” he “can to minimize” what’s now being described by the administration as “Putin’s price hike.”

Hours later, upon landing in Texas, the president was pressed on what message he had for Americans regarding the rise in gas prices and what he can do about it.

“They’re going to go up,” Biden said. “Can’t do much right now … Russia is responsible.” (Read more from “Biden Says He ‘Can’t Do Much’ About Rising Gas Prices Hours After Saying He’ll Do ‘Everything’ in His Power to Minimize It” HERE)

Average Gas Price One Year Ago Was $2.25 per Gallon

The national average gas price per gallon in the United States on the eve of the January 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol was under $2.25 per gallon, while it hit a record-breaking price of over $4.10 per gallon as of March 7, 2022, according to reports.

The date, January 6, has been in headlines lately, thanks to the recent criminal conviction Tuesday of the first defendant in the Capitol riot to go to trial. . .

A ride to the “insurrection” would have been almost two dollars per gallon cheaper on the date of the Capitol riot.

Fuels Market News, citing the U.S. Energy Information Administration, reported on Jan. 6, 2021: “Retail prices for gasoline averaged $2.249/gallon.” (Read more from “Average Gas Price One Year Ago Was $2.25 per Gallon” HERE)

We Were Warned: Donald Trump’s 2020 Gas Price Prediction Comes True (VIDEO)

Donald Trump’s 2020 prediction that gas prices under President Biden would reach $7.00 per gallon came true this week.

The price of gas in Gorda, California, reached $7.59 on Sunday. Fuel stations in Los Angeles County were also selling premium gasoline for more than $7.00 a gallon. One gas station in Los Angeles was advertising gas for $6.99.

The average price for gas in California is $5.343. Nationally, the average price of gas is $4.065, up over one dollar from last year.

Trump predicted gas would reach $7 under Biden on November 3, 2020, right before election day. It took just over a year after Biden assumed office for Trump’s prediction to come true.

Trump doubled down with his prediction in May. “Gasoline is going to stop at six, seven dollars, I think, based on what I’m seeing,” he said before pooh-poohing renewable energy as impracticable. (Read more from “We Were Warned: Donald Trump’s 2020 Gas Price Prediction Comes True (VIDEO)” HERE)

Gas Prices Jump To Highest Level Since 2014

The average price of a gallon of gasoline rose above three dollars on Wednesday, according to data from AAA.

This is the first time since November of 2014 that the national average has exceeded $2.99, AAA said.

Although the run-up in national prices is being attributed to the shutdown of the Colonial Pipeline, which brings fuel to the East Coast, prices are highest on the West Coast. (Read more from “Gas Prices Jump To Highest Level Since 2014 HERE)

Fill Up If You Can: Parts of the Country Are Running Out of Gas; Governors Declare State of Emergency Over Gas Shortages

By Townhall. The Colonial Pipeline has been shut down. It was hit with ransomware by what appears to be a criminal syndicate from Russia. It got hacked. Has the company paid the ransom? It won’t say, but this 5,500-mile pipeline supplies 45 percent of all fuel to the eastern United States. So, yes, prices will spike, and shortages could be seen from Alabama north through Baltimore. And in some places, like Florida, North Carolina, and South Carolina, we’re seeing gas stations closing because they have no gas (via WEAR-TV):

State agencies and area gas stations say Monday that a local terminal failing to meet certain standards is partly to blame for the gas shortage in the Pensacola area.

Channel 3 observed bags covering fuel pumps at gas stations across the Pensacola area on Monday. Several viewers have called in and reported struggles finding gas. . .

Colonial Pipeline was forced to shut down Friday after a ransomware attack. AAA says most of Florida’s gas is shipped in, so the pipeline shutdown most likely won’t affect local supplies. But it could still drive up prices.

However, the Florida Department of Agriculture said Monday afternoon that the Colonial Pipeline hack is one reason for the gas shortage, while a truck driver shortage is another.

Multiple Governors Declare State of Emergency Over Gas Shortages Amid Colonial Pipeline Outage

By The Blaze. The governors of several Eastern states have declared states of emergencies over gas shortages as the Colonial Pipeline — which supplies 45% of all fuel to the East Coast — remains shut down after being hit with a cyberattack over the weekend.

But officials say the shortages are due to panic-buying, not an actual lack of gas.

On Tuesday, Gov. Roy Cooper (D) of North Carolina, Gov. Brian Kemp (R) of Georgia, and Gov. Ralph Northam (D) of Virginia all declared states of emergency as long lines at pumps and rising gas prices hit their states amid shortages and runs on fueling stations. . .

Newsweek reported that according to “energy data collection website Gas Buddy said that five states—Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia—collectively saw gasoline demand skyrocket more than 40 percent on Monday alone.”

On Sunday, the U.S. Department of Transportation announced a regional emergency declaration in response to the cyberattack on the Colonial Pipeline, which the FBI confirmed the next day “was a ransomware attack carried out by criminals belonging to the group known as DarkSide,” Fox Business reported.
