Federal Prosecutor Nukes Soros-Backed DA for Releasing Gangster Accused of Killing Cop

Shutting down cities due to the Wuhan virus does not shut down murderers.

As the Philadelphia SWAT team was attempting to serve a warrant to Hassan Elliott, the suspect allegedly fired multiple rounds through his apartment door, fatally striking 23-year veteran Cpl. James O’Connor IV. While cop killings have become all too common recently, that is not the end of the story.

William McSwain, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, is now accusing Larry Krasner, the most vocal of the Soros-backed “justice reform” district attorneys, of keeping Elliott out of prison.

“Elliott was on the street for one reason: because of District Attorney Krasner’s pro-violent defendant policies,” said McSwain in a press release. “Those policies – which include permissive bail conditions for violent offenders, failing to pursue serious probation and parole violations by violent criminals, offering lenient plea deals for violent offenses, and outright withdrawing cases against violent felons – put dangerous criminals like Elliott on the street.”

McSwain, who has been in a war of words with Krasner for two years, went on to detail Elliott’s criminal history. “On June 8, 2017, Elliott was arrested on firearms charges, stemming from an incident in which he threatened a neighborhood resident with a gun. On January 24, 2018, he entered into a negotiated plea: Krasner’s office offered, and Elliott accepted, a below-guidelines sentence of 9 to 23 months’ incarceration, followed by 3 years of reporting probation.”

The result? Elliott was paroled on the same day, after serving just seven months and 16 days for a violent gun charge, even though he is a known member of a violent local gang and is even seen on video brandishing a weapon with his face behind a mask. Liberal politicians suddenly find guns to be innocuous, so long as you are a gang member who assaults someone with one.

McSwain also details how Elliott was accused of violating his parole numerous times. Yet despite those violations and an arrest for possession of cocaine, Elliott was freed in January 2019 without any bail being set. Remember, when liberals like Krasner talk about going soft on “low-level” drug possession, they refuse to factor in prior history. In this case, the police parole department labeled him as a “high risk” offender.

On March 1, 2019, just hours after he walked out of a court hearing stemming from the cocaine charge, Elliott and another gang member allegedly fatally shot Tyree Tyrone at close range. According to McSwain, “Video showed Elliott fleeing the scene and his fingerprints were found on one of the alleged murder weapons.”

OK, by now you’re thinking, a guy like this, especially after being targeted by police as one of the most dangerous suspects under “Operation Pinpoint” – even before the murder – would be behind bars, right? Not under Krasner’s definition of “low-level, nonviolent” offender. Krasner chose to drop the cocaine charge after Elliott became a fugitive and failed to show up at court three weeks later.

“The drug case should not have been dropped because it could have – and should have – been used as a means to get Elliott into custody and off the street on the murder warrant,” wrote McSwain. “If Elliott had shown up for court, he would have been arrested for murder. He didn’t know that there was an existing murder warrant, so there was certainly a chance that he would eventually show up for the drug trial if the case had not been withdrawn (he had, in fact, already shown up for it once, on March 1). But that possibility was eliminated when Krasner’s office eagerly withdrew the case.”

Thus, Krasner had multiple opportunities to ensure that Elliott was behind bars, thereby saving two lives. “Krasner has infected the District Attorney’s Office with a sickness that has deadly consequences for the entire City,” concluded McSwain in the lengthy statement. “Enough is enough. This madness must stop.”

So how does this all tie back into the issue of the day – Wuhan coronavirus? Well, as I reported yesterday, blue cities throughout the country are either releasing criminals they refer to as “low-level” or are urging police not to arrest them for crimes during the crisis. Fox 29 reports that Philly police are being told to process “low-level” criminals but defer their arrests until a warrant is served after the crisis is over. Good luck finding them at that point, and God knows how many more crimes they will commit.

So which crimes are considered low-level under the order? All narcotics offenses, theft from persons, retail theft, theft from auto, burglary, vandalism, all bench warrants, stolen auto, economic crimes, and prostitution.

Look, we all understand that there are staffing and logistical problems now, but to prospectively announce such a categorical jailbreak will openly invite rampant undeterred lawlessness. Some of these offenses are serious crimes and are very harmful to society. Moreover, those referring to “low-level” crimes in this context keep ignoring the point. So many of these crimes are committed by violent gang members. This will lead to more needless murders because so many people with records like Hassan Elliott will be let out indefinitely after being caught for theft or drugs, regardless of their prior records.

One thing is clear: While restaurant owners fear arrest for defying the shutdown, many criminals will have free rein to burglarize their vacant stores. How are we supposed to respect the government’s unprecedented economic shutdown when we are seeing a drastic asymmetry of priorities and justice? Soros-Backed DA Candidate Loses Big in LA County Super Tuesday Election

Forget about the Super Tuesday presidential primaries. The candidates are all a bunch of socialist anarchists who don’t believe in prison or punishment. The Super Tuesday election that really mattered was the Democrat primary for Los Angeles County DA – which featured a fight between the incumbent who still believes in a modicum of law and order and a Soros-backed public defender type. The law-and-order candidate appears to have won with more than 50 percent, thereby avoiding a runoff.

Jackie Lacey was elected as the first African-American DA of Los Angeles County, the largest prosecutor’s office in the country. As she seeks her third term, radical anarchists in the movement to abolish prison are upset with her. They view her as a traitor for actually still believing in prosecuting criminals, insinuating the offensive notion that somehow a black prosecutor has to be pro-criminal, when in fact weak-on-crime policies harm African-Americans more than anyone else.

So George Gascón, with the backing of Soros money, challenged her in the primary. Gascón did such a great job, as San Francisco DA, of transforming San Francisco into the homeless, drug, and feces capital of the nation that he wants to take his road show on to California’s largest city. Not surprisingly, he has the backing of Senator Kamala Harris. The other challenger was Rachel Rossi, a former public defender, running on a de-incarceration agenda similar to Gascón’s.

According to the early returns, Lacey appears to be on pace to avoid a runoff, with her two challengers hovering in the low 20s.

This race was a real test to see if even Democrat primary voters are nearly as radical as progressive activists and, frankly, many self-proclaimed conservative Republicans on crime. It appears that they have more common sense than the elites who work in politics.

According to a poll released last week by TP Research and KFI AM 640, which showed Lacey with a big lead, voters there want to focus on punishing criminals. When asked whether they prefer a “tough on crime” DA or one who focuses on police accountability for excessive force, voters chose law and order by 53%-22%. When asked whether they prefer “tough on crime” to “racial justice” policies, 50% chose tough on crime, vs. 29% who chose racial justice.

The reality is that this county, which voted for Hillary by 72%-22% and is majority non-white, recognizes that the biggest injustice – racial or otherwise – is not deterring criminals and allowing them to prey on victims, who most commonly are non-white. In this case, L.A. County voters appear to be to the right of all these pseudo-conservative organizations pushing the de-incarceration agenda, appallingly and erroneously, under the guise of racial justice.

For example, according to L.A. police data, in 2018, 47.5 percent of those arrested for homicide were Hispanic, 26.1 percent were black, and 19.9 percent were white. But, of the homicides where the victim’s race/ethnicity was identified, 45.5 percent of victims were Hispanic, 25.1 percent were black, 21.9 percent were white, and 7.5 percent were of other race/ethnic groups. Thus, by dismantling our deterrent against criminals, non-white people are most likely to be victimized by those policies.

Gascón charges that “Los Angeles County incarcerates more Black and brown people than anywhere else in the country for behaviors that often, in other places, would not have criminal consequences.” But to believe that, one would have to accept that, coincidently, and quite unlikely, police are disproportionately arresting non-white people for murder as well. But that is absurd on its face, especially given that almost an identical share of the victims were identified along the same racial breakdown. A dead body doesn’t lie.

As the ballots are still counted, one thing is clear: L.A. voters looked at what is going on north of them in San Francisco and said, “No, thank you.” (For more from the author of “Soros-Backed DA Candidate Loses Big in LA County Super Tuesday Election” please click HERE)

George Soros Says Facebook Is Conspiring to Re-Elect Trump

Billionaire George Soros said that nothing is keeping Facebook Inc. from spreading disinformation and the company may be in cahoots with President Donald Trump to get him re-elected.

“I think there is a kind of informal mutual assistance operation or agreement developing between Trump and Facebook,” Soros, 89, said Thursday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “Facebook will work together to re-elect Trump, and Trump will work to protect Facebook so that this situation cannot be changed and it makes me very concerned about the outcome for 2020.” . . .

Soros has used his annual Davos speech as a platform to criticize the social media giant in the past. In 2018, he compared Facebook to a gambling company that fosters addiction among users, and last year reiterated the need to regulate technology firms.

Facebook has come under increased scrutiny from governments worldwide on multiple fronts, but especially related to the Russian misinformation campaign that ran undetected on the social network in the months prior to the 2016 election.

The company has since worked to improve its technology for taking down what it calls “coordinated inauthentic behavior” — efforts by foreign governments to manipulate public conversation. But critics argue that Trump is helped anyway by Facebook’s very nature: the platform rewards content with the potential to go viral, and Trump has a tendency to say incendiary things. Rebuked for ‘Offensive’ Remarks on Soros’s Jewishness, Giuliani Doubles Down; Rudy Giuliani Raises Eyebrows After Calling Himself ‘Former Attorney General of the United States’ on Facebook Page

By The Times of Israel. US President Donald Trump’s attorney Rudi Giuliani continued to attack the Jewishness of George Soros Tuesday, despite being rebuked by a prominent anti-Semitism watchdog for an earlier statement questioning the Jewishness of the liberal philanthropist. . .

In an interview with New York Magazine, conducted on December 8 and published Monday, Giuliani, who is Christian, claimed that he was “more of a Jew than Soros is,” accusing the businessman of being an “enemy of Israel.”

“He doesn’t go to church, he doesn’t go to religion — synagogue. He doesn’t belong to a synagogue, he doesn’t support Israel, he’s an enemy of Israel. He’s elected eight anarchist DA’s in the United States. He’s a horrible human being.”

He also claimed Marie Yovanovitch, the former US ambassador to Ukraine, was “controlled” by Soros, as were other ambassadors, repeating a common conspiracy theory regarded as anti-Semitic by some. . .

His comments drew a strong backlash from Anti-Defamation League chief Jonathan Greenblatt, who told The Daily Beast that “Mr. Giuliani is not the arbiter of who is Jewish and who is not, or what is anti-Semitic and what is not.”

Rudy Giuliani Raises Eyebrows After Calling Himself ‘Former Attorney General of the United States’ on Facebook Page

By Fox News. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani had critics scratching their heads on Tuesday after publicizing his Facebook page, where he referred to himself as a “Former Attorney General of the United States.”

Giuliani, who has made headlines in recent months over his involvement with the Ukraine scandal as President Trump’s personal attorney, plugged his Facebook page on Tuesday and teased users about findings from his “investigation.” . . .

In addition to the erroneous listing, Giuliani is also described as a “government official” despite his current role as the president’s personal lawyer.

Giuliani’s LinkedIn page correctly states that he was a U.S. Associate Attorney General between February 1981 and June 1983 under former President Ronald Reagan. He then spent five-and-a-half years as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, leaving that position on New Year’s Day, 1989. Singer Taylor Swift Calls out George Soros in Award Speech

Pop singer Taylor Swift called out billionaire investor George Soros in a Thursday speech, saying the Democratic megadonor and his family bankrolled the exploitation of her music.

Swift’s attack came amid a public feud with music executive Scooter Braun. She said Soros’s financial backing of Braun’s purchase of the rights to her music catalog “enabled” Braun to mistreat her. Braun has cited those rights to block Swift from performing her own songs.

“The fact is that private equity enabled this man to think, according to his own social media post, that he could ‘buy me.’ But I’m obviously not going willingly,” Swift said while accepting the Woman of the Decade award at Billboard’s “Women in Music” event.

“After I was denied the chance to purchase my music outright, my entire catalog was sold to Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings in a deal that I’m told was funded by the Soros family, 23 Capital, and the Carlyle Group,” Swift said.

“Yet to this day, none of these investors have bothered to contact me or my team directly to perform their due diligence on their investment, on their investment in me. To ask how I might feel about the new owner of my art, the music I wrote, the videos I created, photos of me, my handwriting, my album designs,” she continued. Billionaire Charles Koch Gets in Bed with George Soros

Two American billionaires have put their money together to take on America’s war industry and help bring an end to “forever wars”.

The unlikely alliance of the left-wing George Soros and right-wing Charles Koch has provided funding for a new anti-war think tank in Washington.

The recently-launched “Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft” is aiming to promote peace and the use of diplomacy over military force in a town where few institutions challenge the status quo.

The progressive Soros and the libertarian Koch belong to opposite ends of the political spectrum. But they seem to agree on this one issue; changing the decades-long direction of America’s foreign policy.

Trita Parsi, one of the founders of Quincy Institute and its Executive Vice President says endless military domination begets endless war, adding “if we don’t want endless war, we need to fundamentally rethink the first principles of American foreign policy.” (Read more from “Billionaire Charles Koch Gets in Bed with George Soros” HERE)

George Soros CONNECTED to Alleged Whistleblower

Eric Ciaramella, whom Real Clear Investigations suggests is the likely so-called whistleblower, received emails about Ukraine policy from a top director at George Soros’s Open Society Foundations.

The emails informed Ciaramella and a handful of other Obama administration foreign policy officials about Soros’s whereabouts, the contents of Soros’s private meetings about Ukraine and a future meeting the billionaire activist was holding with the prime minister of Ukraine.

A primary recipient of the Open Society emails along with Ciaramella was then-Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs Victoria Nuland, who played a central role in the anti-Trump dossier affair. Nuland, with whom Ciaramella worked closely, received updates on Ukraine issues from dossier author Christopher Steele in addition to her direct role in facilitating the dossier within the Obama administration.

The emails spotlight Soros’s access to national security officials under the Obama administration on the matter of Ukraine.

In one instance, Jeff Goldstein, senior policy analyst for Eurasia at the Open Society Foundations, sent a June 9, 2016 email to Nuland and Ciaramella, who were the missive’s primary recipients. (Read more from “George Soros Connected to Alleged Whistleblower” HERE)

WATCH: George Soros Dropped Nearly $1 Million to Defeat a Republican DA, but She Won and Mocked Him in Her Victory Speech

A Republican district attorney in New York faced a challenger backed by more than $800,000 from liberal financier George Soros, but she came out victorious and mocked him in her victory speech.

Soros funded the New York Justice & Public Safety Political Action Committee, which purchased television ads for Democratic candidate Shani Curry Mitchell, the challenger to Monroe County district attorney Sandra Doorley.

On Tuesday, Doorley soundly defeated Mitchell soundly with 56 percent in the election, despite the overwhelming financial support from Soros. . .

“And look at all the great people, here. We still have the energy and we will be back. And I am back for another four more years, so, thank you, George Soros!” she added.

Leftist Dark Money Group Pushes Scheme to Pack Supreme Court With Liberal Justices

Demand Justice, an organization founded by former members of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and associated with a secretive “social welfare organization” financed by billionaire activist George Soros, is pushing a scheme to pack the Supreme Court with liberal justices by adding new seats to the nation’s highest court.

This comes after Demand Justice has failed in its repeated attempts to bring about the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. . .

The missive, also promoted in Demand Justice mass emails, claims “Republicans stole a seat when they put Neil Gorsuch on the bench, so Democrats need to be committed to fighting back by adding seats to the Supreme Court.”

The petition continues, “You know what’s at stake: the right to a safe and legal abortion, the right to seek asylum, the right to a workplace free of discrimination for LGBTQ+ people, and so much more.” . . .

Immediately after the confirmation of Kavanaugh last year, Breitbart News reported that already some Democrats and progressive activists began shifting tactics, pushing the scheme to “pack” or “balance” the Supreme Court by adding two new seats to be filled by liberal judges. George Soros Named Financial Times’ ‘Person of the Year’

Liberal megadonor George Soros on Thursday was honored by the Financial Times by being named the publication’s 2018 “Person of the Year.”

“The Financial Times’s choice of Person of the Year is usually a reflection of their achievements,” the editorial board of the London-based newspaper wrote Wednesday. “In the case of Mr. Soros this year, his selection is also about the values he represents.”

Soros, 88, is best known for his work with his grant-giving network, Open Society Foundations. However, the billionaire hedge-fund-manager-turned-philanthropist’s influence in Democratic politics has made him a divisive figure on the Right.

Soros, who was among the liberal targets who were mailed a pipe bomb in October, was born in Hungary in 1930 to a Jewish family. He and his family survived Nazi occupation “by securing false identity papers, concealing their backgrounds, and helping others do the same,” according to his website.
