GA Judge Rules Election Officials Must Rubber Stamp Results Even if They Are ‘Non-Sensical’

AGeorgia judge ruled Monday that election officials must certify election results even if the results show “more votes than voters.”

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney ruled that “no election superintendent (or member of a board of elections and registration) may refuse to certify or abstain from certifying election results under any circumstance,” even if there is a “non-sensical result.” McBurney did, however, agree that election superintendents have a responsibility to investigate discrepancies and are entitled to review election-related materials as part of this process.

Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections (FCBRE) member Julie Adams, who brought the suit, argued (as described by McBurney’s ruling) in part that “it is proper for her, as a co-election superintendent who has taken an oath to ‘prevent any fraud, deceit, or abuse’ to exercise discretion in certifying election results — a conclusion, which, if correct, would empower her to refuse to certify if she believed the results to be incorrect or not sufficiently reliable to merit certification.”

The Democratic Party of Georgia threatened Adams with legal action after she did not certify the results of the March presidential preference primary. Adams initially filed a suit in May seeking clarification about her role. Adams said she refused to certify the results after she was allegedly denied access to election-related documents and asked that the court clarify her role to be discretionary — meaning members should only certify the results once they are confident the election was administered lawfully — rather than ministerial — meaning members must rubber-stamp results regardless of any concerns.

McBurney dismissed the plea four months later in September after ruling Adams made a procedural error in her filing. (Read more from “GA Judge Rules Election Officials Must Rubber Stamp Results Even if They Are ‘Non-Sensical’” HERE)

Democrats Sue to Block State Rule Requiring Ballot Hand-Counts on Election Day

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Monday sued the Georgia Election Board to block it from mandating a new rule that requires counties to hand-count ballots cast at polling places in the 2024 presidential election.

The DNC argues – without providing evidence – the proposal will generate chaos and in turn enable “bad-faith actors to claim that fraud has affected election results” asking a state court to declare the rule unlawful and stop it from going into effect.

Backed by Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign, the lawsuit alleges the hand-counting rule conflicts with state law and the board overstepped its authority when it approved it.

The rule change, approved on a 3-2 vote by allies of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, requires poll workers to hand count ballots to ensure they match the totals counted by machines. . .

The complainants further argued delays caused by the hand-counting would “introduce opportunities for bad-faith actors to claim that fraud has affected election results – a result that would undermine public confidence in the results and in the election of Democratic candidates specifically.” (Read more from “Democrats Sue to Block State Rule Requiring Ballot Hand-Counts on Election Day” HERE)

Georgia Election Board Approves Rule to Hand-Count Ballots Night of Election

The Georgia State Election Board voted 3-2 on Friday to require counties to hand-count all ballots, in addition to machine tallies, in the 2024 election.

The decision, driven by the board’s Republican majority, means that ballots in Georgia will be hand-counted by election workers the night of Nov. 5 in addition to the normal machine tallies that take place. The move was celebrated by allies of former President Donald Trump, who believe that the changes will help alleviate concerns of voter fraud the former president raised four years ago in relation to President Joe Biden’s narrow victory in the Peach State.

“GREAT NEWS!” former Trump spokeswoman Liz Harrington said, praising the passage of the resolution. “HAND COUNT at precinct level to ensure the totals match with the machines … This is a HUGE win and was opposed by the Fake News, the Left, and Raffensperger.”

The decision also sparked some criticism from election officials and democracy advocates who fear it will cause delays, errors, and increased costs for the state. In the 2020 election, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger announced six days after Election Day that there would be a statewide hand recount, and the results were not certified until Nov. 20.

Opponents argue that the hand count could take weeks or months, leading to uncertainty in the presidential race. Ethan Compton, an elections supervisor, emphasized that it is too late to adopt such changes, stating, “The election has begun.” (Read more from “Georgia Election Board Approves Rule to Hand-Count Ballots Night of Election” HERE)

Black Male Swing-State Voters Explain Why They Are Pulling Lever for Trump (VIDEO)

Black male voters in Georgia told Sky News in a Monday video they support former President Donald Trump because of his personality and economic policy.

Trump is currently leading Vice President Kamala Harris in Georgia by 1%, according to the RealClearPolling average. The voters told Sky News U.S correspondent Mark Stone they believe Trump’s bold personality, business acumen and economic track record as president make him an appealing candidate during a video taken at a Columbus, Georgia, outdoor basketball court.

One voter told Stone he is voting for Trump because “he’s our best choice.”

“Some people don’t like it, but I think he a smart businessman,” another voter said. “Some want to call him an a-hole but I think he an excellent a-hole.”

Another voter noted that Trump is “real” and “don’t care what you think about him.” (Read more from “Black Male Swing-State Voters Explain Why They Are Pulling Lever for Trump” HERE)

Stage Set for Another Election Catastrophe in Major Swing State

Georgia was one of the swing states in the 2020 presidential election where there were concerns about massive fraud: Tens of thousands of probably illegal ballots. . .

And now a report in the Federalist is warning that because of that failure, the 2024 vote in Georgia is setting up to be a catastrophe.

The report explains there were charges that some 35,000 possibly illegal votes were counted that election. That was the election when Joe Biden was declared the winner by only 11,779 votes.

The issue is being pushed by Mark Davis, the president of Data Productions Inc. “and an expert in voter data analytics and residency issues,” according to the report. He filed documents with the Georgia secretary of state and the state election board seeking an investigation of some 25,794 possibly illegal votes subsequently cast in the 2022 midterms. . .

“And now, with just four months until the November 2024 general election, the state’s refusal to address the problem ensures chaos will ensue unless there is a complete blowout by one of the candidates,” the report explained. Mom-Of-Three Mauled to Death Days Before Mother’s Day

A mother-of-three was mauled to death by a pack of “aggressive” dogs in Georgia. The dog attack that happened just days before Mother’s Day also left her children injured, one child suffered severe wounds from the tragic incident. The children survived the vicious animal attack thanks to the intervention by an “angel.”

A mother and her children were mauled by a pack of dogs on Thursday in Quitman, Georgia. The family was reportedly at a bus stop around 4:45 p.m. when the animal attack occurred.

Deputies with the Brooks County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of multiple minors being attacked by dogs.

When officers arrived, they encountered “several aggressive dogs on the property,” according to a statement released by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. . .

The good Samaritan “helped fight the dogs off and manage to get the kids in his truck,” Williams’ sister-in-law Crystal Cox wrote in a Facebook post that included graphic photos of the horrific injuries that one of the children endured. Georgia Election Board Member Testifies Signatures Weren’t Verified on 147,000 ballots in 2020 Election

Mark Wingate, who served on the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections, testified on Monday that there was no signature verification done on Fulton County absentee ballots in the 2020 election.

Wingate is testifying in the D.C. disbarment trial of Trump Administration Department of Justice official Jeffrey Clark.

The Fulton County 2020 election should never have been certified because there was no signature verification done at all on absentee ballots, he said.

Joe Biden reportedly won Georgia by about 12,000 votes.

Wingate said he voted not to certify the 2020 election twice, adding that what concerned him was there were more voters on the active rolls than eligible, which continued after the 2020 election, and nothing was done to answer his questions about it. He requested chain of custody documentation and it was never turned over to him.

Woman Dies After Getting Trapped Under Conveyor Belt While Reaching for Her AirPods

A Georgia woman died Friday after getting trapped in a conveyor belt while trying to get her AirPods, NBC News reported.

Alyssa Drinkard, 21, lost her life last week in an accident at a Club Car manufacturing facility in Georgia, according to NBC News. Club Car, known for its production of golf carts and other vehicles, is under investigation following the incident. During Drinkard’s shift, she accidentally dropped her AirPod beneath the conveyor belt.

While trying to get her earbud back, she reportedly got caught in a chain mechanism that moved the conveyor. Even though her co-worker, Fae’Zsha Smith, acted quickly, the design of the machinery made it impossible to free Drinkard immediately, according to NBC News. They had to call maintenance staff to take the machine apart and then call for emergency help, NBC News reported. Emergency services reportedly managed to free Drinkard by cutting through the metal surrounding the conveyor.
