Nigel Farage: GOP Establishment Candidate Can't Beat a Democrat for President

Photo Credit: Reuters On Sunday night, Nigel Farage, the Chairman of the United Kingdom Independent Party (UKIP), said that the next time Republicans prop up a “continuity, establishment candidate” for President of the United Sates, they are not going to win.

Appearing on Breitbart News Sunday, airing at 7-10 pm ET on Sirius XM Patriot Radio and speaking with Breitbart Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon, Farage said that unless you can “energize and engage, to use an old fashioned term, the blue collar voter, you are not going to beat the Democrats.”

Farage believes that the conservatives in America and the conservatives in the UK are fighting the same battles: runaway government expansion, exploding social welfare programs, and the immigration issues.

There’s a Tea Party vs. GOP Establishment Battle Brewing in an Unlikely Place

Former NFL player Clint Didier, who won two Super Bowl rings with the Washington Redskins, is a Tea-Party conservative. He will be facing former Republican state legislator and agriculture director Dan Newhouse.

So in one of the bluest states in the country, voters in November will decide between a so-called establishment Republican and a Tea Party Republican, the type of contest that typically only occurs well before the summer.

Unlike most states, where primaries are party nominating contests, Washington has a “top two” primary system, assuring the two candidates with the most votes in a primary face off in the general election, whatever their political party. Despite the law, this is the first time in the state’s history that a congressional election has been between two Republicans, the Seattle Times reported.

Radio Rebel: Laura Ingraham Turns Against The Establishment

“The establishment is the establishment for a reason,” says talk radio host Laura Ingraham, reflecting on her 2014 endorsements of long-shot Republican challengers to incumbent politicians. “They usually win; they kind of have it all tied up.”

Once a speechwriter for Ronald Reagan, Ingraham cited the conservative champion as her political inspiration.

“Reagan understood that, and he understood that it’s very difficult; it’s a long struggle, and I think most races you won’t win,” she said.

In an interview with Breitbart News, Ingraham reflected on her radio and television media career as it increasingly verges towards political activism and away from punditry.

Ingraham recently made headlines for endorsing Joe Carr, the challenger to Tennessee Republican Senator Lamar Alexander. After she held a rally in support of Carr, former Governor Sarah Palin stepped up to support Carr as well. And she even recently said she’s considering running for office herself.

CONFIRMED: Senate Republican Leaders Paid for Attacks Against Conservatives

I can confirm that the attack ads in Mississippi run by “All Citizens for Mississippi” were funded by Senate Republicans, including Senators Mitch McConnell, John Cornyn, Rob Portman, Bob Corker, and Roy Blunt. It appears our Senate Republican leaders are willing to risk losing a Senate majority so long as they can get their own re-elected. Yes folks, it is true. I can confirm what we all suspected.

The advertisements attacked Mississippi State Senator Chris McDaniel and painted conservative Republicans and tea party activists as racists…

DEACE: GOP’s Other Mississippi Senator Finds Race-Baiting Other Republicans Funny

Photo Credit: Washington Times While many conservatives across the country are still fuming about the Obama/Alinsky race-baiting tactics the Republican Party establishment used to help K-Street corporatist puppet Thad Cochran win the Mississippi U.S. Senate runoff last week, the Magnolia State’s other GOP senator has a different reaction.

It turns out Sen. Roger Wicker finds this whole potential voter-fraud thing funny…

A post-runoff survey of Mississippi Republicans found 9 out of 10 McDaniel voters want potential voter fraud investigated, 79 percent of McDaniel voters would support him in the general if he ran as an independent, and 74 percent of McDaniel voters said they would support him as a write-in candidate. There is some precedent for write-in spoilers. Just ask the GOP establishment.

After my buddy Joe Miller won the Alaska Republican Senate primary fair and square in 2010, those sanctimoniously now crying “unity” did not hesitate to run establishment proxy Lisa Murkowski back then as a write-in candidate in the general.

By the way, last year Murkowski scored 36 percent on the FreedomWorks scorecard — the second-worst among Republicans in the U.S. Senate. For what it’s worth, Cochran wasn’t that far behind her, with a paltry 41 percent. Murkowski and Cochran each score poorly on the Heritage Foundation’s scorecard as well. Now you know why the corporatist wing of the GOP went scorched earth to keep each of them in power.

Report: GOP Spends $9.7 Million to Attack Republicans – But Only $3.7 Million to Attack Democrats

Photo Credit: TeaPartyUpdate.comIf you needed more proof that the Establishment is hell-bent on attacking Tea Party candidate, a report on campaign expenditures confirms it. Or as comedian Bill Engvall says, “Here’s your sign.”

A recent study by the Center For Public Integrity revealed that from January 1 through May 6, Republican PACs and outside groups have spent about $9.7 million attacking Republican candidates in advertisements and other communications, and only around $3.7 million to attack Democrats. Democratic groups have only spent $67,000 attacking other Democrats.

What’s caused this turbocharged increase in campaign spending? Political animosity between the Tea Party and GOP Establishment and a Supreme Court decision. In January 2010, the Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission ruling allowed corporations and labor unions to spend unlimited amounts of money on ads and other communication to advocate for the election (or defeat) of a political candidate. Campaign spending was ruled to be a form of speech, protected by the Constitution for both individuals and corporations.

The decision didn’t affect contributions, as it’s still illegal for unions and corporations to make direct contributions to candidates for federal office. However, it’s opened the financial floodgates for SuperPACs and other groups to raise money and make independent expenditures for federal races across the country.

Horowitz: Nothing Clever about Winning with Lies and Special Interest Riches

GOP Civil WarOver the past few weeks, political news outlets have been filled with articles beaming about the masterful strategy of the GOP establishment in crushing grassroots challenges. They smugly celebrate the wily tactics of Senator Mitch McConnell, the Chamber of Commerce, and Crossroads in counterattacking the Tea Party. But when you think past the initial headline, you will find that there is nothing special, clever, or innovative about their strategy. It is quite simple.

Members of the political class, which is comprised of the leaders in both parties, support unconstitutional policies, corporate welfare, amnesty for illegals, consistent debt ceiling increases, federal control of local functions, and anything else demanded by the dominant moneyed interests. In return, they receive unlimited campaign support in the form of direct contributions and independent expenditures that are carefully coordinated with their candidates through McConnell’s network of the Chamber, NRSC, and Karl Rove – as outlined by National Journal.

In comes a grassroots candidate from the country class. Needless to say, unless they are a billionaire, they struggle to collect small donations from patriotic citizens in order to develop a modicum of legitimacy and grow their name ID with the electorate. In fact, it is precisely because these candidates support principle over power that they have a difficult time raising money – at least anywhere near the scale of the political class. There is a clear inverse relationship between principled stances on the issues and raising money.

The campaign finance “inequality” has been further exacerbated by McCain-Soros campaign finance laws that place upstart candidates at a disadvantage. They lack a large network of donors, but might know of a handful of patriots who are willing to fully support the candidate. However, they are hamstrung by caps on individual contributions.

Challenging the political class in both open seats (or Democrat seats) and incumbent seats would be arduous enough if the only inherent problem was the money gap. But there are two more challenges: defining of the candidate and ideological lies.

The War for the GOP

By WND.

It’s a crazy situation: Conservative-minded Americans – people who a generation ago were part of the “Reagan Revolution,” and today might identify with the “tea party” – are caught up in not just one, but two civil wars.

The first conflict everyone knows about: America is more polarized today than at any time in the last century.

Arrayed on one side are the forces for limited government, free-market capitalism and traditional morality, people who believe less government means more freedom, and that the “American Dream” depends primarily on self-governing, moral and religious people. Members of this side self-identify predominantly as Republicans.

On the other side are those who consider the first group to be unfair, unjust, unfeeling, selfish, intolerant, racist and predatory – and maybe evil. It is this side, which looks to government to solve virtually all problems, that currently dominates American government, media, education and culture. Members of this side self-identify overwhelmingly as Democrats.

That’s War No. 1.

Famous Republicans targeted for dumpster

By WND.

A conservative giant in Washington, D.C., has written a brand-new book that certainly won’t increase his chances of getting invited to cocktail parties inside the Beltway.

Known as the “funding father of conservatism,” Richard Viguerie’s “Takeover: The 100-Year War for the Soul of the GOP and How Conservatives Can Finally Win It” takes sides in what he describes as a century-old war for the soul of the Republican Party.

Released nationwide today, it offers a blueprint for how liberty-loving, small government conservatives can win the battle against big-government Republicans…

Target No. 1 is Karl Rove

Viguerie writes that Karl Rove “has grown wealthy by promoting the idea that content-free campaigns, rather than conservative principles, are the path to victory for the Republican Party.”

“His record of 22 losses to 9 wins in 2012 shows the folly of the Republican establishment in following Rove’s advice.”

New PAC To Protect Tea Party Candidates Against GOP Establishment Attacks (+video)

Photo Credit: Gage SkidmoreU.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert says a new PAC he has created will raise funds to help tea party candidates unfairly under siege from the Republican rank-and-file — and insists it is not there to spark a GOP civil war.

“Some in the establishment of the Republican Party are saying, gee, this is wrong, but this is not declaring a war against Republican candidates. In fact, it is defensive,” the Texas Republican told “The Steve Malzberg Show” on Newsmax TV.

“There are people, including our speaker [John Boehner] who wanted to declare war on tea parties. These are conservatives who simply want elected officials to do what they promised when they got elected.

“[But] if you don’t go along with what the leadership says, they’re going to see that you don’t get any financial help, they’re not going to help you raise money.”

As Tea Party Becomes More Viable, Democrats And GOP Establishment Plan Attacks

Perhaps in response to recent buzz that Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.), a perpetual Tea Party favorite, may be on the verge of becoming the GOP’s most viable 2016 Presidential contender, Senator Charles Schumer is digging up tired Tea Party smears in an effort to turn voters against the small government movement which has embedded itself into the Republican Party.

Schumer argues that Democrats can exploit the Tea Party ties to big money donors in an effort to turn blue collar voters against fiscally conservative candidates within the GOP who eschew big government spending.

“The tea party elites, with little rebuttal, have been able to make government the bogeyman,” Schumer said during a speech at the liberal Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C. “They have convinced too much of America that government is the explanation for their ills.”

Schumer also said that Democrats must double down on their support of government programs.

“We must stop playing defense and go on offense when it comes to the need for government. We must state loudly and repeatedly that we believe government is often a necessary force for good,” said Schumer.
