By Kirsten Powers. Infant beheadings. Severed baby feet in jars. A child screaming after it was delivered alive during an abortion procedure. Haven’t heard about these sickening accusations?

It’s not your fault. Since the murder trial of Pennsylvania abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell began March 18, there has been precious little coverage of the case that should be on every news show and front page. The revolting revelations of Gosnell’s former staff, who have been testifying to what they witnessed and did during late-term abortions, should shock anyone with a heart.

NBC-10 Philadelphia reported that, Stephen Massof, a former Gosnell worker, “described how he snipped the spinal cords of babies, calling it, ‘literally a beheading. It is separating the brain from the body.” One former worker, Adrienne Moton, testified that Gosnell taught her his “snipping” technique to use on infants born alive.

Massof, who, like other witnesses, has himself pleaded guilty to serious crimes, testified “It would rain fetuses. Fetuses and blood all over the place.” Here is the headline the Associated Press put on a story about his testimony that he saw 100 babies born and then snipped: “Staffer describes chaos at PA abortion clinic.”

“Chaos” isn’t really the story here. Butchering babies that were already born and were older than the state’s 24-week limit for abortions is the story. There is a reason the late Democratic senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan called this procedure infanticide. Read more from this story HERE.

Congressman: Gosnell an Abortion Predator Who Must be Exposed

By Steven Ertelt. Several members of Congress on Thursday afternoon took to the floor of the House of representatives to expose the horrors abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell has committed and to decry the lack of media attention to them.

Congressman Marlin Stutzman, an Indiana Republican, was one of the members who spoke on the House floor this afternoon to call attention to the horrific crimes Gosnell engaged in at his Philadelphia, Pennsylvania abortion clinic.

Worker at Gosnell Clinic: Baby’s Chest Moved After Neck Snipped

By Steven Ertelt. A young woman who worked at Kermit Gosnell’s abortion clinic as a teenager testified today in court that she saw a baby’s chest move even after the gruesome snipping procedure he used to end their lives.

That a 15-year-old girl was employed at a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania abortion clinic is problematic enough, Ashley Baldwin testified Thursday in the murder trial of abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell that even his horrific “snipping” procedure for killing babies in abortions/infanticides didn’t necessarily end their lives.

Baldwin said she learned to do intravenous injections as a high school student and assisted with abortions.

Her mother, Tina, also worked at the chaotic street-corner clinic in West Philadelphia. She has pleaded guilty to corruption of a minor for letting her daughter work at what prosecutors call a corrupt organization.

Ashley Baldwin, who is now in her early 20s and the mother of a toddler, said she saw a baby described at trial as “Baby A” in a hallway.

Gosnell Attorney: Babies Were Already Dead, They Cut Their Necks Just to Make Sure

By Cheryl Sullenger. Yesterday, the primary defense theory in the Kermit Gosnell murder case was explored by defense attorney Jack McMahon, who posits that all the babies aborted at Gosnell’s clinic were already dead when their spinal cords were “snipped” to ensure “fetal demise.”

McMahon pressed former Gosnell employee Lynda Williams concerning her duties at Gosnell’s ‘House of Horrors” abortion clinic that included cleaning up and disposing of babies born after late-term abortions, many of which were beyond the legal gestational limit of 24 weeks.

Williams had previously testified of a baby that was delivered into a toilet at the clinic in Gosnell’s absence. She told the court that when she saw the baby moving, she picked him up and stabbed the back of his neck with surgical scissors as Gosnell had taught her to do.

Later, Williams said that Gosnell reassured her that the baby was dead already and that any movement was “involuntary movement, a last breath.” He told her drugs given to the woman earlier had already
killed the baby.

“If a baby moves, it’s alive.”

Mental Illness Plagued Gosnell Employees Who ‘Snipped’ Babies Necks

Lynda Williams told a jury Tuesday that her boss, Kermit Gosnell, was aware she suffered from bi-polar disorder and depression when he hired her to work at his “House of Horrors” abortion clinic in West Philadelphia assisting with late-term abortions. In fact, she was being treated by Gosnell for the mental health illnesses.

Another clinic worker, Elizabeth Hampton, previously testified she suffered from depression and anxiety in addition to alcohol abuse, and that she once had a “nervous breakdown.” Yet another former Gosnell employee to testify, Sherry West, also admitted to being treated for mental health disorders.

Williams told the court that the practice of snipping the spinal cords of newborns through the back of the neck was “routine” at Gosnell’s clinic as a means of ensuring “fetal demise.”

“The problem with this notion is that newborn babies are not considered ‘fetuses’ anymore and killing them classified as murder. Gosnell never bothered to tell that to his undereducated and emotionally troubled clinic workers,” said Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue.

Williams has already pled guilty to two counts of third degree murder for killing babies via Gosnell’s neck-snipping procedure and to conspiracy. By testifying against her former boss, she hopes to avoid the death penalty or life in prison. She will be sentenced after Gosnell’s trial concludes and face the possibility of 100 years in prison.

The Rutgers basketball story continues to transfix the media, and why shouldn’t it? Mike Rice, the disgraced former Rutgers basketball coach allegedly killed a woman and at least seven viable, born-alive babies “by plunging scissors into their spinal cords” in his filthy, macabre “house of horrors” abortion clinic.

Oh wait, my mistake.

Rice was fired last week from Rutgers over video of him shoving, kicking and yelling at his players, throwing basketballs at them and – most damning – using “homophobic slurs.” That’s made Rice the most notorious villain in America. And in one week it earned him 36 network news stories clocking in at 41 minutes, 26 seconds of air time on ABC, CBS and NBC.

Now, had Rice been accused of killing a woman and eight babies, he’d be enjoying the same anonymity as Kermit Gosnell– provided the killings were carried out in an abortion clinic. Gosnell is the West Philadelphia abortionist who ran an unimaginable charnel house of a “clinic,” for 30 years. Witnesses testified that he may have murdered over 100 babies outside the womb. Gosnell’s trial, underway for weeks, has featured wrenching testimony and horrific details. And it has received exactly zero seconds of airtime on the broadcast networks.

Mainstream Media "Disgusting, Inhuman" for Failing to Report on Gosnell's House of Horrors

The trial details are nothing short of sensational: A doctor accused of killing seven newborns and a young woman at a filthy Philadelphia clinic strewn with body parts and described as a “slaughterhouse.” [Read today’s story HERE about the shocking testimony from yet another worker who cut the necks of the babies at the clinic]

It’s big news in Philadelphia, but nationally, not so much. The lack of coverage is a problem for a growing chorus of conservative and media critics, who allege that the scant national media attention can be attributed not to the courtroom drama but the politics of abortion.

Dr. Kermit Gosnell was an abortionist, meaning that any coverage of the trial risks painting the pro-choice movement in an unflattering light. In a statement issued last week, 20 conservative leaders called for an end to what they described as a “media blackout” and “censoring” of the trial for political reasons.

“The horrific excesses of the abortion industry exemplified by Gosnell and Planned Parenthood are major, national news stories any way you look at them. But the pro-abortion liberal media are determined to hide them from the public,” said the April 4 statement led by the conservative Media Research Center and signed by former Republican presidential candidate Gary Bauer, columnist Kellyanne Conway and Family Research Council President Tony Perkins.

“The media have a solemn duty to the American people to report the news, not just news that helps the positions they support. It’s unprofessional, it’s disgusting, and it’s inhuman,” the statement said.

Gosnell Worker: Baby “Jumped” When I Snipped Her Neck in Abortion

A second Delaware woman who worked at Dr. Kermit Gosnell’s abortion clinic testified today that it was “standard procedure” to snip the necks of any babies that were delivered by patients before the abortion procedure due to labor-inducing drugs.

And Lynda Williams, 44, of Wilmington, said Gosnell taught her how to flip the body of the baby over and snip its neck with a pair of scissors and recalled one time when she followed these orders and saw the child move.

“It jumped, the arm,” she said, showing the jury by raising her arm.

Earlier she testified, “I only do what I’m told to do … what I was told to do was snip their neck.”

Much like former employee Sherry West who testified Monday, Williams initially said she could not remember key details and had to be reminded by prosecutors showing her copies of her earlier statements to investigators. When Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore initially pressed Williams to describe what she saw when she cut the neck of the child, Williams responded with a blank stare and silence.

Horrors in America: Baby "Screaming" After Abortion in Philadelphia

A Delaware woman who worked for abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell recalled hearing one child “screaming” after it was delivered alive during an abortion procedure at Gosnell’s West Philadelphia clinic.

Sherry West, of Bear, said she was loyal to Gosnell – who is now facing multiple counts of murder for allegedly killing children after they were delivered alive at his clinic – but said the incident “really freaked me out.”

When Assistant District Attorney Joanne Pescatore pressed the 53-year-old West for specifics about the incident, West struggled to answer, clearly uncomfortable with the memory.

“I can’t describe it. It sounded like a little alien,” West testified, telling a judge and Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas jury that the body of the child was about 18 to 24 inches long and was one of the largest babies she had seen delivered during abortion procedures at Gosnell’s clinic.

West said she saw the child, whose face and features were not yet completely formed, lying on a glass tray on a shelf and she told a co-worker to call Gosnell about it and fled the room.

This Week's House of Horrors Trial Testimony: 'It Would Rain Fetuses. Fetuses and Blood All Over the Place'

In the continuing trial of ‘House of Horrors’ abortionist Kermit Gosnell, one of his former employees, now incarcerated, testified that “it would rain fetuses. Fetuses and blood all over the place.”

Steven Massof’s chilling testimony continued, “I felt like a firemen in hell. I couldn’t put out all the fires.”

According to LifeNews,

Massof spoke eerily in slow and deliberate manner, almost over-articulating his words. That, along with his “scuzzy” appearance made him appear creepy and –at least to this observer–somewhat revolting. He seemed to take an odd sarcastic glee in relating the illegal activities and filthy conditions under which he worked for approximately nine years.

Massof, who went to a medical school in Granada but never completed residency, was allegedly used by abortionist Gosnell to assist in the murder of babies born in failed abortions.

He also testified that the clinic performed forced abortions and identified women, such as Elizabeth Hampton (right), who would “hold down the women” who were not cooperating during the killings.

As part of a plea deal, the former employee previously pled guilty to three counts of third degree murder and dozens of federal drug charges.

As we reported previously, Massof’s former employer, Kermit Gosnell, is charged with eight murders. Witnesses have testified that Gosnell, or his employees, cut the necks of numerous late term babies delivered after abortions [warning: graphic photo of one of Gosnell’s alleged victims HERE].
