Son of Kermit Gosnell Shot Multiple Times After Robbing a Home

Photo Credit: LifeNews You know the name Kermit Gosnell as the gruesome late-term abortion practitioner convicted on multiple counts of murder. But you probably don’t know 22-year-old Barron Alexander.

Alexander is Gosnell’s son, who legally changed his name two years ago because he was having trouble getting a job due to the fact that his last name was Gosnell in a city where the abortionists name was shameful.

Now the young man is in trouble with the law himself and has been shot multiple times following an attempted robbery at a Philadelphia-area home. This is the sad legacy of a young man whose father killed people in the abortion industry for decades and whose mother is also behind bars for her role.

Gosnell Movie Raises $2.1 Million to Tell Story of Abortionist Who Killed Babies Born Alive

gosnellmovieThey did it. The producers of the Gosnell movie have raised the $2.1 million they needed to make the Hollywood-style film that will tell the story of the gruesome abortion practitioner.

The campaign reached its goal four days ahead of schedule thanks to a unified effort by pro-life advocates and almost 24,000 people who agreed to fund the movie. Proving its grassroots appeal, most of the 23,471 donors contributed $100 or less while only 72 people claimed the perks from donating over $1,000.

He is the abortion practitioner who killed babies in live-birth abortions that were more akin to infanticide than abortion. The media virtually ignored Kermit Gosnell until the pro-life movement launched a concerned effort to call them out on their bias during the early stages of his trial for murder.

Now, Gosnell is prison, having been convicted of murder in the deaths of multiple babies, though he was accused of killing thousands of viable babies. Still, one report from Gallup showed a large percentage of Americans still have no idea who Gosnell is and what he did. A new crowd-funded campaign for a Gosnell movie hopes to change that.

Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer, the directors behind Not Evil Just Wrong and Fracknation are behind the Gosnell movie project. Their made-for TV movie is based on real life Grand Jury testimony with actors to tell the Gosnell story.

Kermit Gosnell, the One Serial Killer Hollywood Won’t Touch

If what the media publishes daily is any indicator, Americans seem fascinated with killers. We’re confronted with headlines about the likes of Oscar Pistorius, Amanda Knox and Jodi Arias. When the news is slow, Americans can change the channel to procedurals, such as “Law and Order: SVU” and “Criminal Minds.” When the procedurals lag, producers and directors come up with serial-killer-glorifying programs like “Dexter,” which just finished its eighth season last year, or the 2007 mystery thriller, “Zodiac.”

It’s strange to see Hollywood refuse to touch the story of the worst serial killer in America’s history — and to see even an independent filmmaker rebuffed in his efforts to pick up the slack.

Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell was convicted in 2013 for the murder of three newborn babies, whose spines he severed with scissors after delivery, and the deaths by gross negligence of two mothers. He was also convicted for killing 21 babies in utero — not for murder in these cases, but rather for violating Pennsylvania’s legal-abortion limit.

Early this year, “FrackNation” producer Phelim McAleer turned to the website Kickstarter to crowd-fund the Gosnell movie you’ll never see out of Los Angeles. However, Mr. McAleer found out that it’s not just Hollywood avoiding this story: Kickstarter refused to green-light his project unless he censored his description of Gosnell’s crimes.

It was only after Mr. McAleer moved to a rival site, Indiegogo, that Kickstarter — which has no problem green-lighting projects like “Incest Is The Highest Form of Flattery” and “Die, Sluts, Die” — pretended never to have had a problem with the Gosnell narrative in the first place. Keep in mind that this same company also rejected the pro-life project “Stolen Moments,” while approving the abortion-glorifying film “After Tiller.” (One of the “perks” for supporters of “After Tiller” was “a bouquet … of colorful condoms.”)

Filmmakers Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney and journalist Magdalena Segieda have found another friend in Hollywood willing to stand up for them as they raise funds for Gosnell the Movie – a documentary to expose radical late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell.

Sloane Brown, of E!‘s new hit reality show “The Drama Queen,” has just put out a video to express her support for the crowd funding campaign.

“You might know me as the fun, party girl, but today I want to talk to you about something serious.”

Brown ditches her party demeanor to tell us about Kermit Gosnell, an infamous late-term abortionist who was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for murdering babies and putting patients in danger in his filthy abortion clinics for decades.

Hercules Actor Kevin Sorbo: Hollywood, Media Ignoring ‘The Crime of the Century’ (+video)

Although the news media and Hollywood relish telling stories about horrific crimes and serial killers, they are strangely silent about Dr. Kermit Gosnell, an abortionist who killed living, viable babies by snipping their spinal cords with scissors, and who is “America’s most prolific serial killer,” said actor Kevin Sorbo and his wife Sam Jenkins in a video to promote funding for a movie about Gosnell.

“Kermit Gosnell is America’s most prolific serial killer,” says Kevin Sorbo, who starred in the TV series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. “For more than three decades he was an abortion doctor in Philadelphia, where he delivered live, viable babies, who cried and fought for their life before he murdered them by severing their spinal cords with a scissors. He called it snipping. It’s the crime of the century, but most of the media and Hollywood have ignored the story.”

Sorbo’s wife, Sam Jenkins, also an actor, says, “Hollywood loves serial killers. TV and movies are full of these stories, the scarier the better would seem to be the motto. CSI, Criminal Minds, Person of Interest, The Black List, The Following, Law & Order, and CIS, Dexter, and many movies follow suit.”

“Even our national and local news is dominated by the crimes committed every day in our society,” she says. “So, it’s very odd that America’s biggest serial killer has been virtually ignored, erased from history. … We need to confront and expose this story. Why did so many people do nothing for so long? Why, when Gosnell was prosecuted, did the media ignore it? Why does Hollywood want to ignore it?”

Both Sorbo and Jenkins call upon viewers to donate to gosnellmovie.com, a proposed documentary on Gosnell by filmmakers Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney, who are running a crowd-funding campaign to raise money for the movie through the online platform indiegogo.

Gosnell Movie Breaks New Ground

The College Conservative has extensively covered the murderous Philadelphia abortion doctor, Kermit Gosnell. Gosnell was charged in 2011 with 8 counts of murder, 24 counts of medical malpractice, and 24 counts of illegal abortions beyond the legal limit of 24 weeks.

What’s worse is that those charges are just the items that the courts were able to prosecute. The full horrors that took place were described in the 200 page Grand Jury Report:

This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable, babies in the third trimester of pregnancy – and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors. The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels – and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths. Over the years, many people came to know that something was going on here. But no one put a stop to it.

The conservative media watched Gosnell closely, making sure that this man and the crimes of other men like him were exposed publicly for what they really were: murder. Despite those efforts, it’s safe to say that a majority of Americans still don’t know who Gosnell is, or the crimes he committed.

That, however, is all about to change.

Filmmakers Phelim McAleer and Ann McElhinney, producers of the eye-opening film “Fracknation- have embarked on a gigantic crowdfunding campaign to raise money for their next historic film The Gosnell Movie.

The trial of abortionist and outright baby killer Kermit Gosnell was widely ignored by the mainstream media- and illustrates yet again, the rampant media malpractice that goes on in this country.

McAleer and McElhinney want the horrific story of America’s biggest serial killer to to told in the living room of every American household. And YOU can help. Go to GosnellMovie.com and make a contribution- from $1 to $10,000. Perks available to donors upon the successful funding and production of the project include a copy of the DVD Gosnell Movie, personal letters of thanks from the producers, t-shirts and even appearing in the movie itself.

Gosnell’s horrific crimes were carried out in Philadelphia, where he prayed upon mostly young women of color. The dead babies remains were sometimes kept in containers and in the refrigerator of the “clinic”- next to employees’ lunch bags.

Convicted Baby Butcher Gosnell Speaks Out: “I’m Spiritually Innocent, Have No Regrets”

Talking publicly for the first time since his trial and conviction on three counts of murder, one count of involuntary manslaughter and more than 200 counts of violating Pennsylvania’s Abortion Control Act, Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell insists he is “spiritually innocent.”

Speaking exclusively to Philadelphia magazine writer Steve Volk for a new magazine article and e-book, Gosnell—who was convicted in May of snipping the necks of babies born alive during abortion procedures in his West Philadelphia clinic—believes he was serving the best interests of his community and the women who came to him. “In an ideal world,” he said, “we’d have no need for abortion. But bringing a child into the world when it cannot be provided for, that there are not sufficient systems to support, is a greater sin. I considered myself to be in a war against poverty, and I feel comfortable with the things I did and the decisions I made.”

Gosnell contends he is “innocent” of the charges against him, laying out complicated—and not particularly credible—reasons he should have been found not guilty. When Volk asked him if he was actually referring to his own sense of “spiritual innocence,” Gosnell responded, “Yes.”

If Late-Term Abortions Are Sacred Ground to Pelosi, She’s Like Kermit Gosnell (+video)

No matter how frustrating things are on Capitol Hill, we can all be grateful for one thing: Nancy Pelosi is no longer in charge.

Regardless of the GOP’s flaws, the former Speaker reminded pro-lifers how much worse the leadership could be. During a press conference Thursday, the House Minority Leader picked a fight with the men on the Judiciary Committee for passing Rep. Trent Franks’s (R-Ariz.) bill onto the House floor.

First, Pelosi accused them of sexism — “All the people who voted for the bill were men,” she insisted. (Only because there are no Republican women on the committee!) Then, she took aim at the legislation, Franks’s Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, for somehow “disrespecting” the “health and safety of American women.”

That’s interesting, since studies show that late-term abortions — which this measure bans — are actually more dangerous to mothers. Complications, like uterine perforations, are much more common in late-term abortions because the baby is so much bigger. Far from “disrespecting” women, this bill protects them! Families like Jennifer Morbelli’s, who is still mourning the loss of the bright kindergarten teacher, wish a law like Franks’s had been in place when their daughter was pregnant. Jennifer died in February of complications to a late-term abortion, and her parents, who say they “wake up every day in the valley of darkness and pain,” are shattered.

John McCormack of the Weekly Standard pushed Rep. Pelosi to explain. Responding to the topic that she raised, McCormack asked the former Speaker about the “moral difference” between late-term abortions and the gruesome newborn killings of Kermit Gosnell. With an air of complete disgust, she fired back, “You’re probably enjoying that question a lot, I can see you savoring it. Let me just tell you this,” she said, seething, “What was done in Philadelphia was reprehensible and everybody condemned it. For them to decide to disrespect a judgment a woman makes about her reproductive health is reprehensible. Next question.”

Gosnell’s Wife Sentenced to Seven Months in Prison for Role in ‘House of Horrors’ (+video)

Pearl Gosnell, the wife of convicted Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell, was sentenced on Wednesday to serve between seven and 23 months in prison for her role in her husband’s abortion clinic that became known as the “House of Horrors.”

The abortionist’s wife was convicted on charges of racketeering and performing illegal abortion. Her sentence was reduced, however, after spending two years under house arrest. Mrs. Gosnell’s children had asked Court of Common Pleas Judge Benjamin Lerner to spare her prison time.

Local reporter Sean G. O’Sullivan wrote that, at her sentencing, Mrs. Gosnell, 52, expressed anger at her husband, who is now serving three life terms after being convicted on three counts of first-degree murder, one count of involuntary manslaughter in the death of a patient by overdose, and hundreds of other lesser charges.

“I am the wife of Kermit Gosnell and I’m not happy about that now,” said Pearl Gosnell. “I’m sorry for my part in this horror.”
