Trump Shuts Down Health Rumors, Declares “Never Felt Better” in Fiery Truth Social Post

President Donald Trump pushed back Sunday against a wave of online speculation about his health, declaring on Truth Social that he has “never felt better” — and using the moment to highlight plummeting crime rates in the nation’s capital under his leadership.

“NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE. Also, DC IS A CRIME FREE ZONE!” Trump posted, breaking his uncharacteristically quiet weekend after spending time golfing at his Virginia resort.

The post comes after several days of public absence and a blank presidential schedule released Friday, which fueled bizarre online theories about the president’s wellbeing. The hashtag #TrumpIsDead even trended on X (formerly Twitter), as critics and online sleuths speculated about everything from illness to secrecy inside the White House.

Those rumors were abruptly silenced when Trump was spotted Saturday leaving for a golf outing in Sterling, Virginia, accompanied by his granddaughter Kai Trump. The outing marked his first public appearance in days and appeared to quash concerns about his health.

While Trump remained largely out of the spotlight, his administration continued to push forward on a high-profile crackdown on crime in Washington, D.C. — a key talking point for the president. Recent statistics show violent crime in the capital has dropped 45% compared to the same period last year, with overall crime down 15%.

The drop comes after Trump assumed control of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department earlier this year, citing the city’s struggles with rising violence.

Even Democratic D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser acknowledged the impact of the federal intervention.

“We greatly appreciate the surge of officers that enhance what MPD has been able to do in this city,” Bowser said at a press conference last week.

Trump followed up his health update with early Labor Day messages on Truth Social, touting what he described as a “roaring” U.S. economy and praising his administration’s efforts to “restore American strength at home and abroad.”

Eat This Food as a Late-Night Snack if You Have Trouble Sleeping — It’s Full of Melatonin and Magnesium

You’re having trouble sleeping — have you considered turning your insomnia into insom-nom-nom-nom-nia?

Sleep can be hard to come by in the winter because exposure to less sunlight can significantly disrupt internal clocks. There are several ways to restore restful sleep — try maintaining a consistent slumber schedule, basking in morning light and practicing relaxation.

Certain bedtime snacks can also help you catch z’s. Brain health researcher Marc Milstein, author of “The Age-Proof Brain: New Strategies to Improve Memory, Protect Immunity, and Fight Off Dementia,” said “a few simple tweaks” to your nighttime nosh routine can improve your trips to Sleepy Town.

One of his suggestions is a mash made in heaven — oatmeal.

“Oatmeal is something that is a complex carbohydrate — doesn’t cause blood sugar to shoot up or drop,” Milstein explained on Instagram.

Oatmeal boasts the hormone melatonin, which promotes sleep, fiber and protein, which significantly contribute to feelings of fullness, and magnesium, which relaxes the muscles. New Study: This Food Lowers Both Blood Pressure and Cholesterol!

Consuming raw honey from a single floral source may improve blood sugar control and lower cholesterol levels when taken within the context of a healthy diet, according to a recent study published in Nutrition Reviews.

“These results are surprising because honey is about 80% sugar,” said Tauseef Khan, a senior researcher on the study and a research associate in nutritional sciences at the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine, in a press release. . .

“Honey is a complex composition of sugars (common and rare), organic acids, enzymes, proteins, amino acids, minerals, vitamins and bioactive substances made by honeybees from the nectar of flowers,” the study’s authors noted.

Honey and sugar are both carbohydrates. This means they’re made of glucose and fructose, but each has different nutrient, texture and flavor profiles, Emma Laing, PhD, RDN, told Fox News Digital. . .

Researchers from Toronto conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of 18 clinical trials that included over 1,100 participants to determine the effect of honey on heart and metabolic risk factors, per the study’s press release. Simple Thumb Test Can Reveal if You’re at Risk for Condition That Can Kill in Minutes

A simple thumb test can help indicate whether a person is harboring a hidden aortic aneurysm — which can prove fatal if left undetected and untreated, new research reveals.

The self-conducted test, proposed by experts affiliated with the Aortic Institute at Yale New Haven Hospital, requires holding up one hand as if signaling someone to stop.

Then, the person should flex their thumb as far as possible across the palm. If the thumb crosses beyond the far edge of the palm, the patient may be hiding a hidden aneurysm — an abnormal bulge that occurs in the wall of the major blood vessel that carries blood from the heart throughout the body.

Being able to stretch the thumb in that way is an indication that a patient’s long bones are excessive and their joints are lax — possible signs of connective tissue disease throughout the body, including the aorta, the researchers said. You’ll Never Guess What Was Pulled out of This Man’s Nose After He Lost His Sense of Smell

A curious case of a man’s seemingly typical nasal symptoms landed in a medical journal after doctors discovered that a tooth growing in his nose was the actual culprit. The 59-year-old had complained of a stuffy nose, and the gradual loss of his sense of smell over the last two years and had sought the help of a specialist after topical steroids failed to help, LiveScience reported.

The man, who was not identified by name, had a CT scan at Aarhus University Hospital in Denmark which revealed a mucous-covered mass in his nasal cavity. His doctors suspected a dermoid cyst, which can take on a strange appearance and have hair or other bizarre features.

But according to the study published in BMJ Case Reports on Feb. 21, when the doctors surgically removed the growth, they discovered an extremely rare instance of a stray tooth. The case is so rare, that doctors estimate it occurs in just 0.1 to 1 percent of patients. . .

According to the authors, the man’s symptoms improved after the tooth was removed, but doctors still aren’t sure what caused the tooth to grow, or for how long it had been present without him noticing. Trauma or infection to the area may result in a misplaced tooth or developmental issues, but this man had neither, LiveScience reported. STUDY: This Supposedly Causes Alzheimer’s

Porphyromonas gingivalis, a key bacteria in chronic gum disease, appears to be the cause of Alzheimer’s disease, researchers believe.

A slew of recent studies has focused on the connection between gum disease and Alzheimer’s, and researchers from the firm Cortexyme now believe their latest study shows P. gingivalis as the cause of the tragic memory loss disease, not a symptom.

“Bacteria involved in gum disease and other illnesses have been found after death in the brains of people who had Alzheimer’s, but until now, it hasn’t been clear whether these bacteria caused the disease or simply got in via brain damage caused by the condition,” reports New Scientist. . .

Regarding the link between the bacteria and Alzheimer’s, the site explains that experimental mice engineered to have the disease were found to have worsened symptoms if they had gum infections. Also, P. gingivalis “can cause Alzheimer’s-like brain inflammation, neural damage, and amyloid plaques in healthy mice.”

“In the new study, Cortexyme have now reported finding the toxic enzymes – called gingipains – that P. gingivalis uses to feed on human tissue in 96 per cent of the 54 Alzheimer’s brain samples they looked at, and found the bacteria themselves in all three Alzheimer’s brains whose DNA they examined,” the site noted. Mom Has Arm, Fingers, Both Legs Cut off After Doctors Failed to Spot Deadly Disease

A mother of two reportedly is suing an English hospital after doctors didn’t realize she was suffering from a life-threatening condition, resulting in multiple limb amputations which she now is calling “a fight for life.”

Magdalena Malec, 31, had both of her legs amputated after contracting sepsis — “the body’s extreme response to an infection” — at the Luton and Dunstable University Hospital in Luton, the South West News Service (SWNS) reported . . .

Malec, according to the news service, was told she suffered a miscarriage just weeks after learning she was pregnant with her third child in December 2014.

After being sent home from the emergency room with painkillers for her heavy bleeding and stomach cramps, Malec reportedly returned to Luton and Dunstable later that month, where she discovered she had an ectopic pregnancy — in which a fertilized egg attaches itself to a cavity outside the uterus — and underwent emergency surgery . . .

During recovery, Malec developed ischemia of her limbs — a lack of blood supply to certain parts of the body, according to SWNS. Her limbs reportedly then developed gangrene and her body tissue died, which Malec said occurred after hospital staff didn’t recognize the warning signs of her sepsis. Obesity Watch: American Children Still Pigging out, Grossly Overweight

Despite efforts by local, state and federal governments to curb fat intake by children, American kids are still pigging out, leaving the trend of rising obesity among the young unabated, says a report published this month in the journal Pediatrics . . .

“The main take-home message for me is that, clearly, obesity remains a problem,” says Asheley Skinner, an associate professor of population health services at Duke University and leader of the analysis. “It’s not improving.”

Childhood-obesity rates have been rising for decades, sparking widespread alarm among public health researchers and officials. Obese children tend to become obese adults, who are prone to many health problems, including cancer, heart disease and Type 2 diabetes . . .

The latest data shows the percentage of children ages 2 to 19 who are obese increased from 14 percent in 1999 to 18.5 percent in 2015 and 2016 . . .

“It is a big jump,” Skinner says. “That’s the highest level of obesity that we’ve seen in 2- to 5-year-olds since 1999. Obesity in the youngest group is a concern because when obesity starts younger, most of these children continue to have obesity throughout childhood and into adulthood. The earlier you start seeing this, the harder it is to address it for these kids.” (Read more from “Obesity Watch: American Children Still Pigging out, Grossly Overweight” HERE)

6 in 10 Adults Are Too Scared to Visit This Kind of Doctor

Feeling bristled? Imagine how your teeth might feel, especially if you’ve been putting off your annual checkup. If you have, you’re likely far from alone. A new study finds that six in 10 American adults are too scared to visit the dentist.

Researchers at Hello Products, a dental care startup, polled 2,000 adults in the U.S. on their oral hygiene habits, which led to some more-than-toothless findings.

For instance, among the more stunning results, the survey showed that three in 10 millennials only brush their teeth once a day. Millennials also admit they’ve gone two or three days on average without brushing at all.

Yet, a convincing majority (56 percent) expressed fear or anxiety over losing their teeth, despite possessing slovenly dental habits . . .

Going to the dentist was admittedly a phobia for most respondents — overall, 62% of adults surveyed said that they were too spooked to even visit a dentist’s office — but particularly among millennials, perhaps helping explain why their much-flaunted smiles appear to be at-risk. Millennials were more likely than those over 55 to create excuses to avoid regular dental checkups (56 percent to 36 percent, respectively). Homeless Man Saves Life of Pastor Who Took Him In

There is a saying ‘one good turn deserves another’ – and in Pastor John Greenaway’s case, it has proved to be true.

He and his family gave shelter to a homeless man in 2016, after a chance meeting in a faith mission book shop . . .

In turn, Mr Boyd changed a life when he offered the pastor, who needed an organ transplant, one of his kidneys.

Since then, Mr Boyd has stayed at the family home every day and night, and has become another son to the pastor, and his wife, who already have four children.

Last March, he repaid the pastor for his generosity by donating one of his kidneys to him. (Read more from “Homeless Man Saves Life of Pastor Who Took Him In” HERE)
