The Clinton Diagnosis — Chronic Secrecy and Dishonesty

With the Clintons, mistrust always pays.

A couple of weeks ago, Hillary was yukking it up with Jimmy Kimmel over the absurdity of rumors that she was hiding something about her health. Look, she can open a pickle jar! That feels so long ago now that her campaign has admitted that she was indeed hiding something about her health — a pneumonia diagnosis late last week.

Some of the diagnoses from afar of Hillary’s purported illnesses have been elaborate fantasies, and she might have really been fit as a fiddle when she opened the famous pickle jar. But through her secretive handling of her pneumonia, she has, once again, shown how it never pays to trust a Clinton.

Bill and Hillary have a way of treating the credibility of their allies as a disposable commodity, in this case including the credibility of a protective media.

The press had worked itself into a lather in recent weeks about the illegitimacy of inquiries into Hillary’s health. They were repaid by Clinton leaving reporters behind without notice at the Sept. 11 memorial; nearly collapsing when she was out of their view (the incident was captured on video by a bystander); giving them a wave and a misleading “feeling great” outside of Chelsea Clinton’s apartment, where she had gone to recover; and leaving them behind yet again to go to her home in Chappaqua and see a doctor. SHOCK: Clinton Email Tech Assistant Had No Security Clearance

The aide who set up former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private servers and email apparently had no security clearance, according to the findings of a congressional committee Tuesday.

Clinton aide Justin Cooper turned heads concerning the Department of State records preservation practices during a hearing before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. Cooper is the same aide who also sometimes destroyed Clinton’s BlackBerry phones, “breaking them in half or hitting them with a hammer,” the FBI investigative summary report said.

Cooper was a longtime aide of former president Bill Clinton when he helped install Hillary Clinton’s system in 2008 during her first bid for the presidency. (Read more from “SHOCK: Clinton Email Tech Assistant Had No Security Clearance” HERE)

Clinton: I Didn’t Think Pneumonia Diagnosis Would Be a Big Deal; Obama Senior Staffer Attacks

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton told CNN anchor Anderson Cooper on Monday night that she didn’t think that her pneumonia diagnosis would be a “big deal.”

Clinton nearly collapsed on Sunday as she was leaving a September 11 memorial event in New York City. Her campaign released a statement over an hour later saying that she was feeling overheated, but then her campaign later announced that she had been diagnosed with pneumonia two days earlier.

David Axelrod, chief strategist for Barack Obama’s two presidential campaigns, criticized Clinton on Monday on Twitter for her campaign not disclosing the diagnosis on Friday.

Cooper asked Clinton about Axelrod’s criticism and why she told Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) about her pneumonia on Sunday morning, but didn’t tell the press or public.

“Well, I just didn’t think it was going to be that big a deal. I know Chuck said today he didn’t tell anybody. It’s just the kind of thing that if it happens to you and you’re a busy, active person, you keep moving forward,” Clinton said. PANIC: The Clinton Camp Freaks Out

Even The Washington Post noted there were “no questions about her emails,” Topic A of the news cycle. Clinton’s reckless mishandling of classified material — reinforced by her 39 memory “lapses” in her FBI interview — should disqualify her from office. And Americans get it.

The media elites are in a panic. They witnessed the meltdown of their candidate in broad daylight and can feel that shiver up their spine — except that this time, it is not the delight of victory they are feeling, but the dread of defeat.

They watched her spar unsuccessfully over this issue with Clinton Global Initiative member and NBC morning news anchor Matt Lauer during Wednesday night’s national security forum, and blamed her poor performance on — Matt Lauer.

The Washington Post is now essentially an arm of the Democratic National Committee. It has done this with deep investigative dive into the penetralia of the Trump empire and no equivalent reporting about the Clinton emails, the Clinton Foundation’s corrupt pay-to-play scheme or the nonstop lies from Clinton herself.

NBC and CBS have jumped on the bandwagon, highlighting Clinton’s latest desperate claim that Trump is the favored candidate of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
American voters just aren’t that stupid, but these news organizations wouldn’t know anything about that. That’s why they are called the media elites.

On Thursday, The Washington Post editorial board took the occasion of Libertarian spoiler Gary JohnsonGary JohnsonThe media elites feel that shiver up the spine — and it’s not victory Fox Business host blames pot for Johnson’s Aleppo gaffe Schwarzenegger: Put Libertarians in debates MORE’s ignorance on the Syrian civil war as an opportunity to trash Trump.

“Gary Johnson’s Aleppo gaffe was bad. But Trump’s consistent ignorance is worse,” a lead editorial trumpeted.

The Post found Johnson, whom they called “clueless,” nevertheless to be “refreshing” when compared to Trump, “who in a televised national security forum Wednesday offered a staggering array of ignorant and mendacious assertions — and acknowledged no regrets about them.”

Let’s see. According to the Post, Trump repeated “his false claims to have opposed the U.S. interventions in Iraq and Libya.”

Really? The only time Trump ever said he might support a U.S. war in Iraq was with radio shock-jock Howard Stern in 2002. Here is how that exchange went:

“Are you for invading Iraq?” Stern asked. “Yeah [pause] … I guess so,” Trump replied.

Anyone who listens to the audio of that exchange will not recognize the bold colors of the Trump they know. Instead, they heard a man who clearly hadn’t given the Iraq war that much thought (after all, he was a private businessman at the time). Trump added, “You know, I wish the first time it was done correctly.”

Even so, that was enough for the Post, NBC News, and other media elites to say Trump “lied” when he said he opposed the 2003 Iraq War.

Not exactly a “gotcha” moment.

Then there’s this. Trump once again asserted in Wednesday night’s forum that the Bush administration should have left local Iraqis in charge of the country but kept control of “various sections where they have the oil.”

The Post sneered at “the jaw-dropping imbecility of this idea.” I guess they have forgotten the widespread media reporting in the run-up and aftermath of the 2003 Iraq war, claiming that President George W. Bush was waging a “war for oil.”

“No Blood for Oil,” protesters shouted, bursting into congressional hearings.

Post columnist Mary McGrory went further. “We’re starting a war not just for oil or for Ariel Sharon, but because we can win it.”

Of course, in Europe and the Arab world, “everyone knew” Iraq was a war for oil, Post columnist David Ignatius reminded readers at the time.

I can recall being invited to a French television debate in Paris on Oct. 25, 2004. I was the only Republican guest on a round table of Americans to discuss the 2004 presidential elections. Asked about the allegations that Iraq was a “war for oil,” I said, “Of course, it was.” I then added, “But it was a war for oil fought by [then French President Jacques] Chirac to preserve $100 billion in contracts for [French oil companies] Elf and Total.”

Trump went on to say that regardless of the decision over going to war, the United States should not have left Iraq precipitously, announcing that decision ahead of time so our enemies so hunker down and wait us out. “And the way they got out really caused ISIS, if you think about it,” Trump told Larry King on Russia Today (RT).

Predictably, the Post didn’t put that comment in context of Trump’s view of the 2003 war, but only reported it because he said it on RT.

I have already “fact-checked” Trump’s claim that Clinton and Obama were “founders of ISIS” and found it to be true not just because the precipitous U.S. withdrawal created a security vacuum for ISIS to exploit, but because it was the policy of the U.S. government at the time to reinforce and arm the groups that morphed into ISIS, as a now-declassified Defense Intelligence Agency report from August 2012 shows.

Of course, The Washington Post and the media elites dismissed Trump’s claim with a predictable sneer.

The American people have understood the media’s bold double-standard when it comes to the truth. Hillary Clinton’s pathological lying is okay, but anything they don’t like spoken by Trump is not.

Now the elite media is waking up to the fact that they no longer control the narrative, and they are in a panic. (For more from the author of “PANIC: The Clinton Camp Freaks Out” please click HERE)

It’s Time for Team Hillary to Shut up About Conspiracy Theorists

Hillary Clinton collapsed after a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at Ground Zero yesterday. This is a critical event that may finally force some medical transparency on the Clinton campaign for president. If Clinton continues to stonewall the press and make believe that she does not owe the American people an in depth explanation of her health problems, Sunday’s medical incident might prove to be a turning point where voters shift to Trump and Hillary’s campaign falls apart.

The “Ill-ary” jokes and Trump’s constant ribbing that Hillary needs a nap have gone from humorous a serious matter. It is time for Team Clinton to come clean.

According to the New York Times:

Hillary Clinton on Sunday abruptly left a ceremony in New York marking the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, and a video appeared to show her struggling to maintain her balance as a pair of Secret Service agents lifted her into a van. The incident, according to a statement from her physician, was related to pneumonia and dehydration.

The video released to the public is shocking. It appears that she did more than struggle “to maintain her balance.” It looked like she collapsed.

More from the NYT.

Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies. On Friday, during follow up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia,” said Dr. Lisa R. Bardack, who examined Mrs. Clinton at her house in Chappaqua on Sunday. “She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule. While at this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated. I have just examined her and she is now re-hydrated and recovering nicely.

The problem with this explanation is that this latest Hillary incident is not isolated; it is part of a pattern. The M.D. talking heads on our cable networks are going to have quite a bit to talk about for the next 48 hours as they analyze Hillary’s medical history and condition. Expect a large dose of Dr. Sanjay Gupta over at CNN.

Ultimately, the health of the candidate is a very important issue for three reasons.

Hillary has seemed ill for weeks

Clinton’s constant coughing over the past few weeks has been a real concern for many Americans. Concealing a real medical problem from the public would be yet another example of her dishonesty with the American people.

The New York Times reported on September 6, 2016, that Hillary was blaming her cough on “allergies.

Her allergies, Mrs. Clinton explained, flare up twice a year, in the spring and fall, when pollen and other allergens come out. “I just upped my antihistamine to try to break through it,” she said. “It lasts a couple days and then it disappears.”

It’s no secret Hillary struggle to tell the truth. When convenient, she has blamed her inability to answer questions from the FBI on a concussion. Now her claim about allergies seems to be another misrepresentation of her actual health situation.— pneumonia.

Hillary has avoided interactions with the press until only recently. Maybe she was avoiding the press getting an extended look at her. I theorized in the past that Hillary was walled off from the press because she didn’t see any value in speaking to them. Now I think it possible that she didn’t want the press to spend too much time seeing her in person and assessing her health.

Hillary has made quite a few bizarre statements over the past few months, and one has to wonder if health problems are a contributing factor. Hillary called millions of Americans who support Donald Trump “deplorables” recently, and basically argued that Trump’s base is a bunch of racist, sexist haters. The constantly changing excuses for her emailing of classified information on a personal server while secretary of state seems irrational. Maybe these bizarre statements are a symptom of something more serious?

Her health history is in dispute

Conspiracy theories have bounced that Hillary has some very serious health problems. The only way to dispel the theories is for Hillary’s doctors to provide full details of her current medical condition. Instead, they have chosen to attack anybody questioning her health.

Chapter one of the Clinton PR Playbook, as you may recall, is to attack any reporter who asks a tough question (just ask Matt Lauer) or to attack anybody who questions Hillary on a substantive matter. It’s why the water carriers for Team Clinton have spent the last few months attacking anybody who questions Hillary’s health.

Think Progress, the Clinton family think tank blog, wrote a piece titled “Trump Campaign Embraces Conspiracy Theory About Hillary Clinton’s Cough.” In the article, Think Progress argued that the Trump Campaign pointed “people down a rabbit hole of right-wing conspiracy theories about Clinton’s health.” Well, it seems like there may be a rabbit in that hole.

The Daily Beast wrote “Is Hillary Clinton’s Cough the New Benghazi?” The article argued this has been a vast Right wing conspiracy for over a decade:

If all else fails, the people dreading a Hillary Clinton presidency can comfort themselves with her coughing fits. The presumptive Democratic nominee’s occasional coughing on the stump—a staple of this year’s campaign reports in various right-leaning media outlets—has been a conservative meme for nearly a decade.

If Hillary wants to stop answering questions about her health, she and her doctors need to release a new report. Take a look at the last available report of the Democratic nominee’s health, written by Hillary’s own doctors in a letter released a year ago:

Ms. Clinton is a healthy 67-year-old female whose current medical conditions include hypothyroidism and seasonal pollen allergies. Her past medical history is notable for a deep vein thrombosis in 1998 and in 2009, an elbow fracture in 2009 and a concussion in 2012.

That’s an old letter. It’s time for a new letter from an unbiased and independent doctor to put these concerns to rest.

Hillary Health Issues are Not a Conspiracy

The fact of the matter is that Hillary continues to keep the press in the dark. If she was diagnosed on Friday with pneumonia, then why didn’t we find out until after her meltdown on Sunday? And if she has pneumonia, then why did she have that awkward walk from her daughter’s apartment after her collapse to her caravan of secret service where she yelled to the press about it being a nice day? It was yet another way to make believe that Hillary is completely healthy.

It is time for the Left to stop slandering individuals who have theories as “conspiracy theorists,” because they refuse to come clean. If the Clinton campaign wants people to go away and stop talking about her health problems, it is time to tell the truth and explain why they sat on her diagnosis as having pneumonia and what actually happened when she could not walk into her car during the 9-11 remembrance ceremony.

If Hillary Clinton, possible next President of the United States is sick – the American people have the right to know. The Left has been clamoring for Trump’s taxes, yet this seems far more important to know if a candidate for President is healthy enough to take on the job.

No matter how you feel about Hillary Clinton, it is time for Americans to wish her the best and hope she can get some rest and back on her feet. (For more from the author of “It’s Time for Team Hillary to Shut up About Conspiracy Theorists” please click HERE)

10 Pictures of Hillary Clinton Wobbling and Then Collapsing Today That Legacy Media Will Never Show You

They now claim it’s “pneumonia”, but Hillary has had a longstanding and persistent cough that has defied treatment and couldn’t possibly be a months-long case of walking pneumonia.

In short, Hillary is very ill. She can’t stand up without supporting herself using railings, stools, tables, chairs, her mysterious Epipen-equipped handler, and — of course — Huma Abedin.

Her latest health scare involved collapsing into her wheelchair lift-equipped van, nearly knocking herself out.

Of course, the media are doing their level best to cover it up.

Via Mike Cernovich, I’ve come across two separate videos that show Hillary wobbling twice, unable to support herself and finally collapsing. The snapshots are quite telling:

160911-hillary-sick-012

Here’s another angle:

As Bill Clinton has admitted, Hillary’s health problems are “very serious.”

His wife appears to have little to no muscular strength, exceedingly poor balance and coordination, and — worst of all — a pathological disease called “Liar-itis”. This Isn’t Clinton’s First Fainting Attack

First Hillary Clinton had allergies that drove her into coughing fits at speaking events.

Then, she was overheated.

Next, she was dehydrated.

Now, she has pneumonia.

What is it, really? It’s an open question after an amateur video surfaced on Twitter of Clinton wobbling and nearly falling to the ground as she awaited a car to pick her up from a 9/11 memorial service yesterday.

No reporters were there to capture the event themselves since Clinton, without warning, made an abrupt departure from the ceremony and refused to allow what’s called a “protective press pool” of reporters to travel with her at all times.

No matter how big or how small the health issue may be, it’s clear Clinton is trying to hide her health problems from the press. She admitted being diagnosed with pneumonia only after she was caught on camera stumbling. And the illness is so serious that she has cancelled fundraising events this week. But, had that video not been taken, no one would know about it. Thus, it remains an open question what health problems she really is suffering from and why it’s been kept out of the press.

Compounding to this problem is something that most of the press isn’t acknowledging: This isn’t Clinton’s first major health stumble.

As recently as 2012, Clinton sustained a concussion after she fainted. The culprit, her staffers said, was dehydration and a stomach virus. Her injury was bad enough she had to cancel events at that time. Due to her illness, she delayed testifying to Congress about the terrorist attack on Benghazi. When she finally did appear, she wore corrective glasses to alleviate what her staff described as “lingering issues stemming from her concussion.”

That, according to the Clinton camp’s own explanations, makes for two serious episodes of dehydration and virus resulting in Clinton losing control of her faculties in the last four years.

So, it’s one of two things. Clinton may be suffering from something more severe and long-term, or she simply isn’t taking care of herself. The health matter is so serious that she concussed herself in the past. Only this time, she was fortunate that her staff was there to catch her before she could fall.

There’s no reason to think it won’t happen again. (For more from the author of “This Isn’t Clinton’s First Fainting Attack” please click HERE)

Hillary Suffers ‘Medical Episode’ at 9/11 Ceremony, Dr. Says She Has Pneumonia

Hillary Clinton abruptly left today’s 9/11 commemoration in New York City after suffering what Fox News described as a “medical episode.”

A video available on Twitter appears to show the moment, confirming what law enforcement told Rick Leventhal. After leaving the ceremony, the Democratic presidential nominee is waiting for her van. The van pulls up. As she starts forward, her knees buckle, she spasms and appears to faint, and is maneuvered by her security into the van.

The van left and the pool reporters assigned to Clinton were prevented from leaving the media area to follow her. For over an hour, the campaign refused to say where the candidate was or her condition.

Finally, Clinton’s spokesman Nick Merrill released a statement saying, “During the ceremony, she felt overheated so departed to go to her daughter’s apartment, and is feeling much better.”

It was in the low 80s when the incident occurred.

She left Chelsea’s apartment shortly before noon, declaring “I’m feeling great,” and remarking “It’s a beautiful day in New York.”

Suffering her second health-related incident in a week — followed by secrecy and the admission that Clinton has pneumonia — has brought questions about the medical well-being of the presidential front-runner out from speculation and into legitimate debate.

Just four days ago, in the wake of Clinton’s Labor Day coughing fit, The Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza blasted those questioning the candidate’s health, asking “Can we just stop talking about Hillary Clinton’s health now?” However, Cillizza walked back his statements on Sunday noting that he originally “wrote dismissively” of allegations that Clinton was “hiding some sort of serious illness.” He continued, saying:

Coughing, I wrote, is simply not evidence enough of any sort of major illness that Clinton is assumed to be hiding. Neither, of course, is feeling “overheated.” But those two things happening within six days of each other to a candidate who is 68 years old makes talk of Clinton’s health no longer just the stuff of conspiracy theorists.

Cillizza may want to be careful speculating about Clinton’s health. Former CNN show host Drew Pinsky of Dr. Drew On Call had his show cancelled by the network after questioning Clinton’s health on a radio interview. He’s not alone either. David Seamon, a former Huffington Post contributor, said in late August that he was fired “without warning” after he included a video raising the issue of Clinton’s health in one of his articles.

After Sunday’s incident, the Clinton campaign took to warning reporters not to press the issue, and — even after Fox News broke the story — the Twitter accounts of most major American news organizations initially remained silent about Clinton’s abrupt, mysterious departure.

The media is not so quiet now. Outlets such as CNN, ABC and CNBC have followed Fox’s early lead in posting video and reports on Clinton’s abrupt departure.”

Now, with the video of Hillary’s collapse, voters will not only be talking about Hillary’s health, but likely praying for it. (For more from the author of “Hillary Suffers ‘Medical Episode’ at 9/11 Ceremony, Dr. Says She Has Pneumonia” please click HERE)

Clinton Thinks Trump Campaign Is Still ‘Deplorable’

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton is reversing course on a statement she made Friday in which she called half of Donald Trump’s supporters “deplorable.”

“Last night I was grossly generalistic, and that’s never a good idea. I regret saying ‘half’ — that was wrong,” Clinton said Saturday.

Her full comment from Friday didn’t just stop at “deplorable.” She went on to list specific negative attributes.

“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?” she told an LBGT event crowd. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic — you name it.

After learning of the attack, Trump promptly responded with a Tweet of his own, firing back at Clinton for her insult.

High-profile Trump supporters quickly followed suit, Tweeting out their own comebacks.

Clinton might have apologized for unfairly grouping people together, but she stood by the characterization of Trump’s campaign as shameful.

“But let’s be clear, what’s really ‘deplorable’ is that Donald Trump hired a major advocate for the so-called ‘alt-right’ movement to run his campaign and that David Duke and other white supremacists see him as a champion of their values.

“It’s deplorable that he’s attacked a federal judge for his ‘Mexican heritage,’ bullied a Gold Star family because of their Muslim faith, and promoted the lie that our first black president is not a true American. So I won’t stop calling out bigotry and racist rhetoric in this campaign.”

GOP vice-presidential candidate Mike Pence felt Clinton’s recent statement was just more proof that she is unfit to be president, vowing to attendees Saturday at the Values Voters Summit in Washington that she must never become POTUS.

“No one with a record of failure at home and abroad, no one with her avalanche of dishonesty and corruption and no one with that low opinion of the American people should every people elected president of the United States of America,” Pence said. “We must decide here and now that Hillary Clinton will never be president.” (For more from the author of “Clinton Thinks Trump Campaign Is Still ‘Deplorable'” please click HERE)

Reporters Beware: A Hillary Presidency May Require a LOT of Rolling Oranges

This is not an article about Hillary Clinton’s health, so get that right out of your head. This article is about how the candidate, or more specifically her handlers, have reacted to questions about her health, and how that reaction bodes for a potential Clinton presidency.

The relationship between the press and the White House is an important one. In a representative democracy, the people have a right to know what their government is up to; it’s the only way they can make informed decisions about how to vote in subsequent elections. It is therefore in the interest of both the public and the country as a whole that reporters be granted a certain latitude in covering the presidency, even (especially) if that coverage is not always favorable to the commander in chief.

Yet, press freedom in this area has not been ideal in recent years. President Obama has a notoriously frosty relationship with any news organization willing to criticize him, to the point of actually trying to exclude whole networks (Fox) from press conferences and other official events. While he is happy to grant plenty of time to fawning talk show hosts and comedy shows, Obama’s unwillingness to be scrutinized by more serious media has made his promise to run “the most transparent administration in history” a pathetic joke.

One would hope that the next administration would be a little less hostile towards journalists, but if Clinton manages to defeat Donald Trump in November, don’t count on it. She has already earned the ire of many press outlets by refusing to grant access. In fact, she is so walled off from reporters, that members of the press literally rolled an orange with a question written on it down the aisle of her plane — just to get a question to her! Likewise, she has been suspiciously reclusive, when most candidates would want to spend as much time as possible getting face time with the public. It is this reclusiveness, in part, that has contributed to persistent rumors about Clinton’s health; rumors to which she has not reacted well.

As The Hill reports, several members of Clinton campaign team are pushing back aggressively against reporters who dare to question her physical fitness for the job, particularly a story by an NBC reporter, Andrew Rafferty, who wrote about the candidate’s recent coughing fit.

As Jay Caruso points out, questions about the health of presidential candidates, who are frequently in their late sixties or earlier seventies, are not unique to Clinton. Bob Dole and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz. (F, 34%) received a similar treatment during their campaigns, so journalists holding Clinton to the same standard can hardly be described as sexist or in any way out of bounds.

I don’t want to seem like I’m giving Trump a pass here; anyone who has expressed a desire to strengthen libel laws clearly has no great respect for freedom of expression. But Hillary’s lack of press accessibility and hostility towards reporters who question her is especially concerning. The last thing this country needs is another president who refuses to brook criticism from the press. While the media has been unhesitating critical of Trump, most news outlets are basically in the tank for Hillary, with some even admitting as much. The fact that she is unable to tolerate a few dissenting voices from coverage that is otherwise nearly uniformly positive points to a presidency defined by secrecy, deception, and even strongman tactics to silence dissent.

Then again, Hillary doesn’t know what the word “classified” means, so maybe she will end up being transparent after all. Just not for the right reasons. (For more from the author of “Reporters Beware: A Hillary Presidency May Require a LOT of Rolling Oranges” please click HERE)
