Why the Hillary Clinton Campaign Can’t Hide 38 Documents From the Special Counsel

Documents made public last week by the Federal Election Commission reveal that Hillary Clinton campaign payments to Fusion GPS to dig up dirt on Donald Trump were not treated as legal expenses. These newly released documents eviscerate the Democratic National Committee and Clinton campaign’s attempts to hide behind attorney-client privilege in the special counsel’s criminal case against former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann.

Sussmann, who awaits trial in a D.C. federal court later this month on the charge that he made a false statement to former FBI General Counsel James Baker, is currently fighting to keep prosecutors from seeing 38 documents withheld from the grand jury based on claims of attorney-client privilege. In early April, Special Counsel John Durham’s team filed a motion to compel those secreting the documents to provide them to the court to allow the judge to assess, in camera, whether they were properly withheld. In response, Sussmann argued the special counsel had waited too long to force the issue and that his criminal case was the wrong forum to litigate the question.

The day after the former Clinton campaign attorney filed his response opposing in camera review of the material, his “fellow Spygate hoaxers sought to join in Sussmann’s efforts to keep the documents concealed” by seeking to intervene in the case. Last week, the trial court granted the flurry of motions to intervene, authorizing tech executive Rodney Joffe, Fusion GPS, Perkins Coie, the DNC, and the Clinton campaign to file briefs opposing disclosure of the documents.

On Wednesday the court will hear oral arguments on the special counsel’s motion and decide whether the 38 documents must be turned over, initially to the court and then eventually to prosecutors. While Durham’s team previously had a strong case that the documents were not protected by attorney-client privilege, a document dump last week by the FEC further strengthens the prosecutor’s position. Hillary Clinton Moves to Dismiss Trump’s ‘Russiagate’ Lawsuit Against Her

Hillary Clinton’s lawyers asked a federal court to toss Donald Trump’s “Russiagate” lawsuit against her.

Attorneys for the failed presidential candidate say the suit, which alleges Clinton engaged in “racketeering” and a “conspiracy to commit injurious falsehood” about the former president’s 2016 campaign’s ties to Russia, lacks legal merit in a motion to dismiss filed Wednesday.

“Whatever the utility of Plaintiff’s Complaint as a fundraising tool, a press release, or a list of political grievances, it has no merit as a lawsuit, and should be dismissed with prejudice,” the filing says. “By the complaint’s own telling, these alleged events occurred long ago, and Plaintiff has been aware of his purported injuries for years.”

Clinton’s lawyers contend that she disputes the allegations in the lawsuit but emphasize that even if they were true, Trump’s suit fails to identify a “cognizable legal causes of action.” Clinton’s lawyers maintain that “the statute of limitations on his claims expired long ago” and that the First Amendment protects her campaign’s activities during the election. Blockbuster Revelations From the Latest Special Counsel Court Filings

New court filings in a Spygate case solve some long-running mysteries and hint at serious developments.

Late Friday, three new memoranda and a handful of exhibits hit the docket in Special Counsel John Durham’s criminal case against former Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann. The filings analyzed about a dozen tedious issues concerning what evidence prosecutors may use at trial to prove Sussmann broke the law by lying to then-FBI General Counsel James Baker when he showed Baker information that supposedly indicated Donald Trump had a secret communications channel with the Russia-based Alfa Bank. . .

Two weeks ago, when the wave of pre-trial evidentiary filings began, the special counsel’s office revealed for the first time that the day before Sussmann met with Baker, Sussmann sent this text to Baker’s personal cellphone: “Jim—it’s Michael Sussmann. I have something time-sensitive (and sensitive) I need to discuss. Do you have availability for a short meeting tomorrow? I’m coming on my own—not on behalf of a client or company—want to help the Bureau. Thanks.”

The existence of this text is huge because, as the special counsel stressed in its filing, it shows that “the night before the defendant met with the General Counsel, the defendant conveyed the same lie in writing.” That’s the “same lie” Sussmann then allegedly told Baker in person during their September 19, 2016 meeting, namely that he was not presenting the Alfa Bank-Trump information on behalf of a client.

The text message thus debunked one of the main themes floated by those defending Sussmann: that the special counsel “is bringing a false statement charge based on an oral statement allegedly made five years ago to a single witness that is unrecorded and unobserved by anyone else.” (Read more from “Blockbuster Revelations From the Latest Special Counsel Court Filings” HERE)

Clinton Campaign Lawyer Bid to Toss Durham Indictment Gets Rejected

The judge presiding over the false statements case against Michael Sussmann shot down the defendant’s motion to dismiss special counsel John Durham’s indictment, denying the Democratic cybersecurity lawyer’s effort to avoid trial next month.

Sussmann was indicted last September for allegedly concealing his clients (Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and “Tech Executive-1,” known to be former Neustar executive Rodney Joffe) from FBI General Counsel James Baker when he pushed since-debunked claims of a secret back channel between the Trump Organization and Russia’s Alfa Bank.

He has argued he did not lie to the FBI when passing along Trump-Russia collusion claims, and even if he did, the lie was “immaterial.” Durham argues that he has proof that the lie was absolutely material under U.S. Code § 1001. Judge Christopher Cooper said Wednesday this was an issue generally decided by a jury and that it should be dealt with at trial.

The judge said, “Sussmann’s sole argument for dismissal is that, even taking the allegations in the indictment as true, his purported misrepresentation to Baker was immaterial.”

Sussmann’s lawyers said in February he “voluntarily” met with the FBI in September 2016 “to pass along information that raised national security concerns.” They argued there was no allegation by Durham that the tip was false and contended Sussmann was instead “charged with making a false statement about an entirely ancillary matter.” (Read more from “Clinton Campaign Lawyer Bid to Toss Durham Indictment Gets Rejected” HERE)

Hillary Says People Should Be ‘Saying Gay All the Time’

Hillary Clinton, over the course of running for the office of president twice, and losing twice, has been an open advocate for homosexuality.

She’s called “gay rights” “human rights” and promoted gay marriage. She’s slammed others who disagree with her sexual lifestyle choice agenda. She’s made fun of those who disagree with her. . .

[On a recent podcast with comedian Kate McKinnon] a listener reportedly asked, “What are your thoughts on the state of attack we find on the LGBTQ+ community with Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill passing 22-to-17 and Texas anti-trans agenda.” . . .

Clinton said, “Oh my gosh, well, first off, it is profoundly outrageous and deeply sad that people in positions of power in our country who are more interested in undermining and opposing the rights of individuals than they are in bringing people together,” she said, “I think people have to stand up to it.

“The idea ‘don’t say gay,’ I think people should go around saying gay all the time.” (Read more from “Hillary Says People Should Be ‘Saying Gay All the Time’” HERE)

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced Tuesday that she tested positive for the coronavirus.

“Well, I’ve tested positive for COVID,” Clinton, 74, wrote in a tweet. “I’ve got some mild cold symptoms but am feeling fine.”

Clinton, who is fully vaccinated, said she is “more grateful than ever for the protection vaccines can provide against serious illness” and asked her followers to “get vaccinated and boosted if you haven’t already!” (Read more from “‘Fully Vaccinated’ Hillary Clinton Again Tests Positive for COVID” HERE)

Trump Sues Hillary Clinton For False ‘Russia Collusion’ Claims

While criminal counts may never develop against some of the highest-profile Democrats involved in their scandalous creation of the “Russian collusion” conspiracy theory against then-candidate and later President Donald Trump, it could be that a civil lawsuit by Trump against Hillary Clinton over the issue could result in a lot of answers.

Already, declassified documents have confirmed that then-CIA Director John Brennan, back when Barack Obama was in the White House, briefed him on Hillary Clinton’s purported plan to tie Donald Trump to Russia as “a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server.”

Fox News confirmed that the revelations came from documents declassified under President Trump, by Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe. . .

Now Just the News revealed that Trump on Thursday filed a civil lawsuit against Clinton and several other Democrats alleging “they attempted to rig the 2016 presidential election by creating a false narrative that tied his campaign to Russia.”

“Acting in concert, the defendants maliciously conspired to weave a false narrative that their Republican opponent, Donald J. Trump, was colluding with a hostile foreign sovereignty,” said the lawsuit, which besides Clinton names, the DNC, Perkins Coie, Michael Sussman, Marc Elias, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Jake Sullivan, John Podesta, Fusion GPS, Glenn Simpson, Nellie Ohr, Bruce Ohr, Christopher Steele, Igor Danchenko, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Kevin Clinesmith, Andrew McCabe and others. Russia Sanctions 13 Americans, Including Joe and Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton

Russia announced sanctions Tuesday against Americans including President Joe Biden, his scandal-scarred son Hunter Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

In a statement, Russia’s Foreign Ministry said the restrictions — which came amid waves of sanctions by the US and its allies that have crippled Russia’s economy over the invasion of Ukraine — were “the consequence” of what it called the White House’s “extremely Russophobic policy.”

The move prevents those named from entering Russia and freeze any assets they have there, according to the BBC. Moscow called the restrictions “personal sanctions” and a “stop list” based on “the principle of reciprocity.”

The foreign ministry also warned that additional sanctions would follow against other, unspecified “Russophobic” US officials, military officers, lawmakers, business owners and media figures. (Read more from “Russia Sanctions 13 Americans, Including Joe and Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton” HERE)

Longtime Clinton Pollster Sounds Alarm for Democrats in Office

Those who are likely to vote in this fall’s midterm elections see Democrats as out of touch and largely ineffective, which bodes ill for the party that is trying to cling to the narrowest of majorities in both the U.S. House and Senate.

That’s according to a longtime Clinton pollster: Douglas Schoen.

He and his business partner, Carly Cooperman, wrote this weekend in a commentary for the Hill that it looks like the party could be looking at substantial losses in November.

“Indeed, the findings of our survey — which was conducted among likely 2022 midterm election voters — show that the electorate is increasingly pessimistic about the direction in which President Biden and Democrats are steering the country and feel that the party’s priorities do not align with their own,” the two said.

In fact, 54% said Biden and the Democrats – a party that has lurched repeatedly toward leftist causes and agenda items in recent years – should retreat from that direction. (Read more from “Longtime Clinton Pollster Sounds Alarm for Democrats in Office” HERE)

Laughable: Hillary Clinton Claims Putin Motivated to Invade Ukraine by Trump, January 6

Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in a Friday Atlantic op-ed blamed Russia’s assault on Ukraine on former President Donald Trump, tying Vladimir Putin’s ongoing invasion to the January 6 Capitol riot.

In an opinion piece that used the word “democracy” 47 times, Clinton claimed Putin, the “implacable enemy of democracy,” attacked Ukraine in part because “Republican leaders are abandoning core tenets of American democracy even as the stakes in the global contest between democracy and autocracy are clearer and higher than at any time since the end of the Cold War.”

It should be noted that Ukraine has struggled to enter NATO. According to Biden, Ukraine needs to reduce nationwide corruption to enter NATO. “The fact is they still have to clean up corruption,” Biden said in 2021.

“Trump has always had a personal attachment to Putin,” Clinton continued, “which we don’t need to belabor here, and a long-standing admiration for dictators and disdain for democracy—going all the way back to his admiration for the brutal Chinese crackdown in Tiananmen Square decades ago.”

Clinton highlighted Putin as a threat to “the promise of democracy — freedom, rule of law, human rights, self-determination” and proceeded to praise Democrat-allied Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) for “braving the ire of their party,” which she deemed was “determined to discredit or co-opt the idea of democracy.” (Read more from “Laughable: Hillary Clinton Claims Putin Motivated to Invade Ukraine by Trump, January 6” HERE)
