‘This Policy Is Dangerous’: Democrats Fight To Roll Back City’s Sanctuary Law, Help Trump Deport Criminals

A pair of Chicago aldermen have introduced legislation that would roll back the city’s sanctuary law currently forbidding any cooperation between local law enforcement and federal immigration authorities, but their efforts face stiff odds in a city council dominated by liberal members.

Raymond Lopez and Silvana Tabares, both Democrats, filed a proposed amendment to Chicago’s Welcoming City Ordinance, which calls for exceptions when a migrant has been arrested or convicted of certain criminal activities. The aldermen argued in a public statement that it’s in the best interest of the city’s immigrant community to work with the incoming Trump administration in situations where wanted illegal migrants are involved in heinous crimes.

“We believe that the best way to protect law-abiding non-citizens from the returning Trump Administration is by working with them in apprehending their priority targets: non-citizens that CHOOSE to engage in dangerous, illegal activity once they are in the United States,” Lopez said in a public statement. “Our current [Welcoming City Ordinance] prohibits any coordination or cooperation, even in the most heinous situations.”

“This policy is dangerous to those law-abiding undocumented and non-citizens residents because, if someone is arrested or convicted of crimes, the federal authorities aren’t notified,” he continued. “Should the federal government go looking for those specific individuals seeking to deport them, there is a high probability that other targets, law-abiding undocumented and non-citizen residents, may be apprehended and deported as collateral damage. That is an entirely unacceptable yet avoidable situation.” (Read more from “‘This Policy Is Dangerous’: Democrats Fight To Roll Back City’s Sanctuary Law, Help Trump Deport Criminals” HERE)

Joe Biden’s Border Chief Grants Amnesty to 850,000 Migrants

President Joe Biden’s pro-migration border chief has extended temporary amnesty for 850,000 illegal and quasi-legal economic migrants until 2026, further suppressing American wages and spiking their rents.

The 18-month expansion of the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) amnesty was announced by outgoing border chief, Alejandro Mayorkas.

The beneficiaries include 234,000 illegal migrants from El Salvador who first got their TPS status after a 2001 earthquake that wrecked their home nation’s economy. The small nation’s economy is now growing amid the successful suppression of gang crime by the nation’s popular President, Nayib Bukele.

So Mayorkas’s press statement blamed bad weather for his refusal to send the economic migrants back home:

El Salvador’s extension of TPS is based on geological and weather events, including significant storms and heavy rainfall in 2023 and 2024, that continue to affect areas heavily impacted by the earthquakes in 2001.

158 Democrats Vote Against Republican Bill Addressing Sex Crimes

A House bill targeting illegal immigrants convicted of sexual offenses passed with bipartisan support, but 158 Democrats voted against it, signaling deep divisions over immigration policy. The Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act, authored by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), passed 266-158, with 51 Democrats joining Republicans in favor.

The legislation focuses on deporting illegal immigrants guilty of sexual offenses, conspiracy to commit such crimes, or domestic violence. Mace framed the bill as essential for protecting American women and children, saying, “This is about holding violent offenders accountable.”

However, Democrats opposing the bill accused Republicans of using immigration as a political tool. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) argued the measure was more about fearmongering than effective policy, stating, “This is yet another attempt to scapegoat immigrants.”

Mace’s own record complicates her role as a champion of the bill. Who has distanced herself from Trump, she reportedly sought media attention during the January 6 protests by suggesting she confront protesters for publicity. Despite reported efforts to gain notoriety grandstanding against Trump over that day, Mace has since sought his endorsement, raising skepticism about her motivations.

Report: Georgia Realtor Killed, Allegedly by Illegal Alien Freed by Biden

An illegal alien, reportedly released into the United States by President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is accused of driving drunk and causing a crash that killed 37-year-old Jimmy Chang, a well-known realtor in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia.

Christian Fernando Irias-Ruiz, a 20-year-old Honduran national, has been arrested and charged with first-degree vehicular homicide, drunk driving, reckless driving, speeding, and possession of alcohol by someone under 21 years old.

According to police, the crash occurred just days before Christmas when Irias-Ruiz allegedly drove drunk, ran a red light, and t-boned Jimmy Chang’s vehicle — killing him. A third vehicle was involved in the crash, which left some passengers injured.

“It’s devastating for all the family right now, still can’t process that he’s gone,” Jason Chang, Jimmy’s brother, told WSB-TV 2 Atlanta. “He impacted a lot of lives.”

A report from Fox News Digital reveals that Irias-Ruiz is an illegal alien from Honduras and was first apprehended crossing the southern border in June 2021. DHS officials, though, released Irias-Ruiz into the United States interior through Biden’s expansive Catch and Release network. Border Patrol Released Suspected Terrorist Into U.S.

Federal law enforcement has arrested a suspected terrorist from South Africa after Border Patrol released him into the country following his recent illegal entry from Mexico.

Border Patrol disclosed Tuesday afternoon that police had rearrested an unnamed man in the New York borough of Brooklyn after it had allowed him to remain in the United States following his illegal entry into Texas.

“BREAKING: A multi-agency effort led to the arrest of a South African national and suspected terrorist in Brooklyn, NY. Initially detained in Texas for criminal trespassing and based on information available at the time, the individual was released,” Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens wrote in a Tuesday afternoon X post.

“A further subsequent investigation revealed a positive match on the terrorist watchlist, prompting swift action by USBP agents and personnel at the National Targeting Center,” Owens wrote in the post. “Thanks to the coordination of multiple agencies, this potential threat was located, taken into custody, and is now pending removal.”

The number of known or suspected terrorists — people on the FBI terrorist watch list — caught attempting to enter the U.S. from Mexico between ports of entry has skyrocketed under the Biden administration, according to federal data. Trump’s Reported Plan For ICE Leaves Nowhere For Criminal Migrants To Hide

The incoming Trump administration intends to scrap a longstanding policy that largely prevents federal immigration authorities from arresting illegal migrants in areas that are known as “sensitive” locations, according to an NBC News report.

President-elect Donald Trump would like to allow Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to begin arresting illegal migrants at or near hospitals, schools, churches and other areas deemed to be “sensitive” locations without needing prior approval from their supervisors, according to NBC News. Trump, who won the presidential election with a hardline immigration platform, may issue the rule change as soon as his first day in office.

The reported policy change could allow ICE agents to better follow through on one of the president-elect’s most notable campaign promises: conducting the largest deportation operation in American history.

A policy of not conducting apprehensions at sensitive locations — with exceptions relating to terrorism, national security threats or other imminent dangers — has been on the books for over a decade within the agency. Then-ICE Director John Morton issued a memo in October 2011 that largely prohibited agents from operating in schools or churches, establishing a policy that extended into the Trump and Biden administrations. California County Votes to Stop Turning Violent Illegal Immigrant Criminals Over to Feds

The San Diego County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution Tuesday to protect violent illegal immigrants in order to maintain “public safety.”

The board voted 3-1 to become a “Super Sanctuary” county, which means under the resolution illegal immigrants accused of things like rape would be protected by the county from federal immigration authorities, said the sole supervisor who voted against the resolution.

“San Diego County has a vested interest in maintaining public safety and effective law enforcement while also managing its resources efficiently,” the resolution states. “By avoiding active cooperation with ICE, including through a specific notification to ICE of the release dates of immigrants, the County avoids treating a group of individuals differently solely on the basis of their immigration status.”

The resolution states the county will not provide:

“…assistance or cooperation to ICE in its civil immigration enforcement efforts including by giving ICE agents access to individuals or allowing them to use County facilities for investigate interviews or other purposes, expending County time or resources responding to ICE inquiries or communicating with ICE regarding individuals’ incarceration status or release dates, or otherwise participating in any civil immigration enforcement activities.”

Majority of New Yorkers Support Trump’s Mass Deportation Plan, New Poll Shows

A majority of New Yorkers support President-elect Donald Trump’s plan to deport millions of undocumented immigrants — including nearly half of Latinos, an eye-opening new poll revealed Tuesday.

Some 54% of respondents statewide said New York should support Trump’s deportation efforts, while just 35% said the Empire State should oppose it, according to a Siena College poll.

Of the total 38% of Democrats, 87% of Republicans and 54% of independents support the mass deportation plan, which Trump made a central pillar of his campaign.

Men were more likely to back it than women, with 61% of male respondents and 49% of female respondents on board — while 31% and 38% opposed it, respectively.

And 56% of white people, 51% of black people and 47% of Latinos support the measure, which also had majority support from residents who live in the city, the suburbs and upstate, the poll indicated. ‘They Came in Illegally’: Trump Clashes With ‘Meet the Press’ Host Over Deportation Promises

President-elect Donald Trump and “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker clashed over Trump’s promises to deport illegal immigrants during an interview that aired Sunday morning.

During the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump highlighted a series of crimes involving illegal immigrants, including the murders of Rachel Morin, Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray and the struggles experienced by the city of Springfield, Ohio after an influx of over 20,000 Haitian migrants. Trump said that the failure to enforce laws regarding immigration had been “unfair” to legal immigrants.

“I think you have to do it, and it’s a very tough thing to do. But you have to have, you know you have rules, regulations, laws. They came in illegally,” Trump told Welker. “You know, the people who have been treated very unfairly are the people who have been [in] line for 10 years that come into the country and we’re gonna make it very easy for people to come in terms of, they have to pass the test. They have to be able to tell you what the Statue of Liberty is, they have to tell you a little bit about our country, they have to love our country.”

“They can’t come out of prisons. We don’t want people that are in for murder,” Trump continued. “We had 11,000 and 13,000, different estimates, 13,099, murderers released into our country over the last three years. They’re walking down the streets, they’re walking next to you and your family and they’re very dangerous.” (Read more from “‘They Came in Illegally’: Trump Clashes With ‘Meet the Press’ Host Over Deportation Promises” HERE)

Biden-Harris Admin Freed Illegal Alien Wanted For Child Rape Into United States

The Biden-Harris administration’s Department of Homeland Security freed an illegal alien who was wanted of child rape in his home country into the United States.

The illegal alien, a 25-year-old Ecuadorean national named Adrian Patricio Huerta-Nivelo, crossed the border into the United States on June 4th, 2021 before being apprehended by Border Patrol.

Huerta-Nivelo was given a notice to appear in front of an immigration judge before being released into the interior of the United States. Just days after his release, however, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) discovered that the illegal alien was wanted in Ecuador in connection to the rape of a child.

ICE arrested Huerta-Nivelo days after he was released into the United States on June 12th, 2021 in Boston, Massachusetts. The federal law enforcement agency held the illegal alien in their custody until an immigration judge ordered him to be deported from the country. He was then returned to Ecuador and handed over to law enforcement agents in his home country. (Read more from “Biden-Harris Admin Freed Illegal Alien Wanted For Child Rape Into United States” HERE)
