Promised a Wall, Given a Gap: Border Rancher Fears Biden Order Will Funnel Illegal Aliens Through His Land

A fourth-generation rancher who once viewed the border wall project as a blessing now faces a nightmare after construction was stopped 1 mile before being finished, leaving a hole right in his backyard through which he fears immigrants will be funneled.

A wall project originating near El Paso, Texas, came to an abrupt end last week near Hermanas, New Mexico, less than a mile short of where it was slated to connect to another wall. Landowner Russell Johnson said President Biden has set his family up as the first spot in the 90 miles to El Paso where people will try to sneak into the country, and Johnson is scared for his wife and kids.

For decades, Johnson’s parents, grandparents, and great grandparents have dealt with the realities of living with nothing more than a barbed wire fence dividing both countries. He is gravely concerned now, having already started to see an uptick in people crossing along his 8.5 miles of border-front property over the past several months.

Federal Judge Blocks Biden’s 100-Day Deportation Freeze

A federal judge appointed by former President Donald Trump blocked President Joe Biden’s attempts to freeze the deportation of immigrants from the United States.

Texas Judge Drew Tipton’s order, reported by Reuters, temporarily suspends the Biden administration’s 100-day halt on deportations for at least 14 days and follows a lawsuit filed by the Texas Attorney General’s office.

“In one of its first of dozens of steps that harm Texas and the nation as a whole, the Biden administration directed DHS to violate federal immigration law and breach an agreement to consult and cooperate with Texas on that law. Our state defends the largest section of the southern border in the nation. Failure to properly enforce the law will directly and immediately endanger our citizens and law enforcement personnel,” Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement. “DHS itself has previously acknowledged that such a freeze on deportations will cause concrete injuries to Texas. I am confident that these unlawful and perilous actions cannot stand. The rule of law and security of our citizens must prevail.”

By The Epoch Times. Guatemalan soldiers blocked part of a caravan of as many as 9,000 Honduran migrants on Jan. 16, at a point not far from where they entered the country seeking to reach the U.S. border.

The soldiers, many wearing helmets and wielding shields and sticks, formed ranks across a highway in Chiquimula, near the Honduras border, to block the procession of migrants.

Guatemala’s immigration agency distributed a video showing a couple of hundred men scuffling with soldiers, pushing and running through their lines, even as troops held hundreds more back.

Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei issued a statement calling on Honduran authorities “to contain the mass exit of its inhabitants.” On Jan. 15, the migrants entered Guatemala by pushing past about 2,000 police and soldiers posted at the border; most entered without showing the negative coronavirus test that Guatemala requires.

“The government of Guatemala regrets this violation of national sovereignty and calls on the governments of Central America to take measures to avoid putting their inhabitants at risk amid the health emergency due to the pandemic,” Giammattei said in the statement. Report: Biden Team To Migrant Caravan: Don’t Come, You Won’t Get in — Yet (VIDEO)

By Breitbart. NBC News reports that a senior Biden transition team member warned the newest caravan of Honduran migrants not to come to the U.S. at this time. The official reportedly advised that if they come they will not be allowed to enter the U.S. — for now.

“The situation at the border isn’t going to be transformed overnight,” the unnamed transition official told NBC News. “There’s help on the way, but now is not the time to make the journey.”

Currently, there are multiple programs put in place by the Trump administration to prevent the caravan migrants that are now forcing their way into Guatemala from Honduras from entering the U.S. if they make it this far. Those programs include immigration enforcement programs in the Northern Triangle countries of Central America and Mexico. . .

Currently, thousands of Honduran migrants are attempting to make their way through Guatemala after forcing their way through border crossings over the weekend.

No Longer America: Census Under Biden Will Count Illegals for Divvying up House Seats

President Donald Trump’s effort to exclude people in the U.S. illegally from being counted in the process for divvying up congressional seats was dealt another blow Wednesday when the Census Bureau’s director indefinitely halted an effort to gather data on the citizenship status of every U.S. resident.

Bureau workers laboring to comply with the Trump order were instructed to “’stand down’ and discontinue their data reviews,” Census Bureau Director Steven Dillingham said in a memo. . .

Dillingham’s memo came after the Office of Inspector General reported Tuesday that bureau workers were under significant pressure from two Trump political appointees, Nathaniel Cogley and Benjamin Overholt, to figure out who is in the U.S illegally, using federal and state administrative records. Bureau statisticians worried that any citizenship figures they were forced to produce would be incomplete, misinterpreted and tarnish the statistical agency’s reputation, the inspector general said in a memo. Mexican Ambassador: Let’s Restart Mass Migration Into U.S.

The United States should reopen itself to migration, amnesties, refugee inflows, asylum seekers, and more temporary contract workers, Mexico’s ambassador to the United States said Tuesday.

The U.S. immigration system “has to be based on facts and realities,” Ambassador Martha Bárcena Coqui told a forum arranged by the National Immigration Forum (NIF). She continued: ‘The facts and realities is the need to protect the most vulnerable, the need to keep open the generosity towards refugees, the need to recognize the complementarity of labor markets and demographic profiles, the need for temporary workers in the United States.”

The United States should not view migration as a security threat, she said, adding, “If you conceptualize migration as a national security issue, if you [push for] securitization of migration, and what is even worse, if you criminalize migration, then your approach always be policing, contentious [and] reduction of migration. So what we need is really to conceptualize migration … as an economic and social and political phenomena.” . . .

“The Mexican ambassador is going to tell us what is in the best interest of Mexico,” responded Rosemary Jenks, policy director at NumbersUSA. “But that doesn’t mean we have to do it — we have to do what’s in the best interest of the United States. of American, of Americans and legal immigrants,” she told Breitbart News, adding:

You know we have the pandemic still raging, we have economic lockdowns still going on, we have unemployment way too high. We have underemployment way too high. We have American citizens hurting. We absolutely do not need to reopen mass immigration — and certainly don’t need to give amnesty and taxpayer benefits to people who came here illegally. If Mexico thinks its plan is to just open up its own southern borders in the hopes that America will open our southern borders, that’s just going to reignite the caravans. I hope that the Biden administration is planning for that because that’s not going to go well, and 2022 is not going to go well for Democrats.

If You Don’t Know That ‘Coyotes’ Are Human Smugglers, Shut up About the Border (VIDEO)

On Thursday night when Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden angrily accused President Trump of a “criminal” family separation policy that had “lost track” of more than 500 migrant children at the U.S.-Mexico border, he was repeating an inaccurate and misleading news report that had circulated earlier this week.

“What happened? Their kids were ripped from their arms and separated and now they cannot find over 500 sets of those parents and those kids are alone,” Biden said. “Nowhere to go, nowhere to go. It’s criminal.”

The former vice president was likely relying on a brief report from NPR about the latest development in a lawsuit between the ACLU and the Justice Department regarding the status of children who have still not been reunited with their parents after being brought across the border illegally.

The report claims that “the parents of 545 children still can’t be found,” but that’s not quite right. The NPR report omitted a statement issued by Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Chase Jennings explaining that in fact the vast majority of these parents have been found but have refused reunification with their children, which is why the children are still in DHS custody.

“In the current litigation, for example, out of the parents of 485 children whom Plaintiffs’ counsel has been able to contact, they’ve yet to identify a single family that wants their child reunited with them in their country of origin,” Jennings said.

Another Migrant Caravan Departs for the United States

The United States is such a white supremacist, oppressive, and evil country that a whole new caravan of migrants is leaving Honduras bound for the United States, where mail-in ballots await.

CBS News reports that a migrant caravan was expected to leave October 1 but that hundreds of migrants are leaving early just two weeks after Honduras opened its northern border with Guatemala.

The migrants will travel en masse across the continent amid the global pandemic in hopes of spreading out across the interior of the United States. Pictures of the migrants showed many were not wearing face masks or practicing social distancing. . .

Mexico’s immigration agency said in a statement that it would enforce “safe, orderly and legal” migration and not do anything to promote the formation of a migrant caravan. The U.S. Embassy in Honduras said via Twitter Wednesday that migration to the U.S. was more difficult than ever right now and more dangerous because of COVID-19.

Survey Reveals Hispanics Are Most Opposed to Illegal Immigration

Hispanic Americans, more than white and black Americans, are the most convinced by campaign rhetoric that denounces illegal immigration to the United States and the “defund the police” movement, a new survey finds.

New York Times columnist Thomas Edsall noted five issues facing Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden’s campaign — one of which is President Trump’s support among Hispanic Americans.

Fifteen focus groups of Hispanic Americans and polls of white and black Americans, conducted by Ian Haney López and Tory Gavito, reveal that Hispanic Americans are the most convinced by campaign rhetoric that opposes illegal immigration and defunding local police departments. . .

The results come months after a Washington Post survey found that some 70 percent of Hispanic Americans opposed pausing all immigration to the U.S. in the midst of the Chinese coronavirus crisis — more than any other racial demographic group.

López and Gavito’s research found that voter registrations among non-college-educated white Americans, Trump’s base of support, are up 46 percent in the vital swing states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

LA Jails Refuse to Turn 25,000 Criminal Illegal Aliens Over to ICE

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has refused to honor more than 25,000 requests from federal immigration officials to turn over undocumented immigrants being housed in its jails, according to data obtained by Fox News.

The figure represents the requests lodged by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for the 2020 fiscal year, ICE spokesperson Alexx Pons told Fox News.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva said last week the department would halt the transfer of undocumented men and women to the immigration agency, citing conditions at various ICE detention facilities and that the fear of deportation could hinder criminal investigations.

“There is no greater threat to public safety than a million undocumented immigrants who are afraid to report crime, out of fear of deportation and having their families torn apart,” Villanueva said in his Aug. 18 announcement. “As the Sheriff of Los Angeles County, I am responsible for everyone’s public safety, regardless of immigration status. WATCH: Family on Vacation Finds Migrants Hiding in Their Car’s Rooftop Cargo Box

A vacationing British family got the shock of a lifetime when they found two young migrants hiding in a storage box atop their car, video shows.

The two-minute clip, posted Tuesday on Twitter, shows the moment a British family made the startling find as they stopped at a gas station in Normandy, France. . .

A man then launched into a expletive-laced tirade as the migrant hopped off his car, knocking out what appeared to be a laptop computer, video shows. . .

The pair of migrants – identified as two 16-year-olds from Eritrea and Guinea, according to France’s The Local – then start to walk away as the family demands they empty their pockets while taking stock of their belongings, video shows.

“Where’s our stuff?” one young man asks before a woman in the family says that there’s “nothing there” in the storage box where they were just found.
